Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask for help but if not, pls direct me to the correct place. Thanks.
My issue is with the Mystic Coins. I have been doing the dailies every day since around 1 Dec 2012. I completed the Monthly in Feb, Mar and Apr 2013. Excluding other sources, I should have close to 170 coins since I never used any.
However, I checked today and found that my Mystic Coins are stuck at 44! I didn’t know the use of the coin prior and certainly did not use any. I do not know if there is a cap limit on coins in an account. If so, my bad. If not, this is a bug but more importantly to me, I would certainly like the missing coins restored.
Where can I get help?
This seems somewhat counter-productive in regards to getting rid of botting.
I very much agree with this statement. These picks will pay for themselves fast given the amount of harvesting bots do. Now they don’t even have to make a stop to replace the picks anymore.
I plan on playing Guild Wars 2 for a long time and would buy 8 picks if A-net gives us a guarantee that:
1. They won’t be adding any new tier of crafting material or,
2. If they do release a new tier of crafting material, this pick will be upgraded to the new tier (like Ascended weapons).
I notice one argument that is often presented in this thread is “why should a non-repping member take up space while there are others trying to join the guild and contribute”?
As I don’t WvW or PvP, I’ll just use PVE examples.
A. One repping member uses GW2 as an elaborate chat program and just sits in LA chatting,
B. One repping member like to PVE solo, hates dungeons and is not contributing in the “optimal way” (2 influence per event etc),
C. One repping member is only able to play an hour or two every night and mostly just does the daily and logs off.
Going by the actual amount of influence contributed, the aforementioned are not going to contribute much. But they rep 100% of the time and apparently give no cause for complaint.
I would think that if I contributed more than them, I would have earned my spot in the guild. Yes, you’re not getting all that I can give but if what I’ve given is more that the examples above, wouldn’t it be short-sighted for you to replace me while keeping them?
Perhaps better methods of measuring contributions are required or some guild leaders should be less greedy.
The “online, not representing” indicator needs to go and A-net needs to implement a better invisibility mode (i.e. location and character last logged in not updated when invisible).
I understand that for many guild leaders, this feels like the loss of an important administrative tool but this being the game it is with the ability to join multiple guilds, the online status indicators in their current form is leading to harassment and stalking.
Thanks for the detailed comparison, Rennoko. It tells me that perhaps Anet should consider increasing the condition duration bonuses on weapons as per your argument.
Since the weapons have already been bought, I want them to work as intended.
I have another Ranger which will go the more traditional routes for stats and damage; so this one is for trying something different. Some conditions like blind and chill aren’t useful because of their damage but for their other effects; So for this ranger, I want to see if foods + runes + weapons + Trap Potency can do anything interesting.

Because ranged weapons are inherently supposed to do less damage.
Beserker’s Pearl Needler (Shortbow) – Power 179, Precision 128, +Crit Damage 9%
Beserker’s Pearl Crusher (Hammer) – Power 179, Precision 128, +Crit Damage 9%
Both hammer and bow are 2-handed weapons and have the same attribute bonuses. So doesn’t seem that being ranged is the reason for less bonus.
Similarly,
Giver’s Pearl Needler (Shortbow) – Precision 128, Vitality 128, +10% Condition Duration
Giver’s Pearl Crusher (Hammer) – Precision 128, Vitality 128, +10% Condition Duration
and yet, the total attribute bonus for carrying the Giver’s Axe and Giver’s Warhorn together is Precision 128, Vitality 128, +20% Condition Duration. That’s 10% more Condition Duration that either Hammer or Bow! I believe there’s an error somewhere here.
My suggestion is for the 2-handed Giver weapons to be upgraded to +20% Condition Duration as we have paid for our items based on a minimum performance of +10% and no one will like a bait and switch nerf.
As for your transmute question, the prefix is tied directly to the stats you transmuted to.
Agree that it should but please take another look at my screenshot.
Carrion is Condition Damage, Power and Vitality
Giver (weapons) is Precision, Vitality and Condition Duration
The axe my character is holding is called Carrion Verdant Axe of Air. Carrion being the prefix but you can see the attribute bonuses are Givers.
The name may be just cosmetic but I urge the devs to verify if this is the reason Condition Duration seems bugged (because the system actually incorrectly recognizes it as Carrion and the error is shown once I did the transmute).
Hi,
Wondering if I can get a clarification regarding Giver’s weapons.
Firstly, I know about this thread
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Giver-s-10-Condition-Duration-doesn-t-work/first
I bought 2 “Giver” weapons (an Axe and Warhorn) on the TP and then transmuted them with lower level Verdant versions. Why does the prefix become “Carrion” instead of “Givers”? Is this the cause of the bug?
Also, I noticed that for other attributes, some consideration is given for 2-handed weapons. I use “Beserker” items as an example.
Beserker’s Pearl Reaver – Power 90, Precision 64, +Crit Damage 5%
Beserker’s Pearl Siren – Power 90, Precision 64, +Crit Damage 5%
Beserker’s Pearl Needler – Power 179, Precision 128, +Crit Damage 9%
In the case above, the attribute bonuses on the 2-handed weapon is almost the same as the sum of both single-handed ones. I think the double handed one should give more attribute bonus since it already loses out on flexibility but that’s another story.
Now looking at “Giver” items
Giver’s Pearl Reaver – Precision 64, Vitality 64, +10% Condition Duration
Giver’s Pearl Siren – Precision 64, Vitality 64, +10% Condition Duration
Giver’s Pearl Needler – Precision 128, Vitality 128, +10% Condition Duration
The known bug aside, why is the condition damage from the bow only half of Axe + Warhorn? I think it should be 20%. Is this an error too?
Thanks,
Is it possible that people are logging their alt’s near nodes and logging this in once an hour?
Some folks are, but they still look and act like a normal player when they do so. The current crop of bots is only visible for a couple of seconds over the node and disappears before the gathering sound loop even starts, usually popping up at another nearby node before the sound loop finishes.
Agree with Ysengrin!
With regards to players leaving alts near nodes, I trust that Anet will properly investigate a player’s movements once a name has been provided and differentiate between the botters and the alts. After all, what does a screenshot really prove anyway except that the reported name is correct?
If it looks suspicious, I will report it. The investigation, I leave to Anet.
This is part of another post that I replied to but may be relevant here:
To players who want to help catching blinkbots, here are some ideas you may find helpful –
1. Assigning a key on a gaming mouse to ‘Print Screen’ helps immensely (for me, thumb button 10 on the Razer Naga). That second that you spend reaching for the normal print screen button is what will allow the bot to escape.
2. Unfortunately, most of us only realize what we saw was a blinkbot when the blinkbot disappears. Therefore these days, I tend to take a “Take screenshot first, ask questions later” attitude. If it turns out to be nothing, I can delete the screenshot.
3. Don’t put up screenshots and name names on the forums. ‘Name and shame’ aside, it will warn the botters and give them time to transfer their ill gotten gains elsewhere.
To Gaile/ANet –
1. The only way I seem to be able to send a screenshot currently is through the “Report Bug” window. Given the nature of blinkbots, the only way I can send a screenshot is if I literally waited at a certain spot for one to appear; not very feasible. If a screenshot is important as evidence (I guess to show we got the correct names), then I hope that the Report Bug window could allow us to attach a screenshot that we’ve already taken. Or perhaps some clarification on where and how to send screenshots would help a lot.
2. I would like timestamp and location data to automatically be included in the screenshots. I’m sure this would make any submitted screens more meaningful.
3. I would have thought that if I provided you with the name of the offending player, that you would be able to track his movements and investigate for yourself.

A resounding “Yes!” to customizable underwear/bikini/swimsuit.
I’m really sick of the default (most of my characters are human female
).
Finally cleared this after 7 tries! I followed DominoEffect and Despire’s suggestions. Thanks goes out to both.
- spoke to Warden Hywel BEFORE releasing the other 4 prisoners below. This seems to help ensure he is in the cage,
- interrupt the Krait Priestess’ summoning. I believe this is key to Hywel’s survival. The telltale sign is the ground churning as she channels.
I suggest not solo-ing this as one player may not have enough interrupts to deal with the Krait Priestess while still dealing enough damage.
I was affected by this bug as well. When I got to the top of the tower, Warden Hywel was still in the cage but once the Krait Priestess was destroyed (she seems to die with an explosion of sorts), he vanished as well. I repeated the quest 4 times with the same result. To make it worse, you need to fight through the entire mission only to find its bugged.
I hope you guys get this solved ASAP because this is blocking progress. I’m guessing about one-third of folks pursuing the Personal Story are going to choose this and are going to find themselves in this situation. That’s a lot of frustrated and unhappy folks.
I also want to point out another related bug that could potentially be magnifying this problem. In the earlier Personal Story episode “A Light in the Darkness”, the Avatar of the Pale Tree will ask you your greatest fear; one of the answers will lead to “Striking off the Chains”. My brother and I have played through 5 characters to level 80 together. We’ve recently discovered that if the instance owner chooses “Letting an innocent suffer” (leading to Tower Down), the ‘guest’ (or non-instance owner) automatically gets “Making another suffer” selected (leading to Striking off the Chains). This has happened to us for 3 characters. If I’m not mistaken, it wasn’t like that previously; the ‘guest’ would get the same choice and the instance owner.
Is this intentional? Either way, it is funneling more people into the bugged “Striking off the Chains” quest so you may want to get that fixed as well.
I reported this a few days ago, i have no problems going through that door on my tiny little Asura Engineer, but I cannot fit through the door with my Big Fat Norn Guardian. Maybe its their way of telling my Norn to lose weight.
Thought maybe I could roll in on my Sylvari based on the lead above but no, it doesn’t work.
The invisible door is still there as of now.

I miss the class combinations in GW1 (i.e. I can be a Necro/Ele etc).
I miss the HUGE number of skills available in GW1. Too little here IMO and they’re somewhat restrictive (i.e. skill 6 must be a healing skill, skill 0 must be the elite and the weapon skills are like a set meal).
I miss having henchmen/heroes following me into missions so that I almost never have to LFG. Only the Luxon/Kurzick ones and the last few in Nightfall, if memory serves me.
Aside from that, I think GW2 is an awesome game and I am loving it.
If we’re going back to Cantha in the next expansion, I am really hoping for the Ritualist again.
As in the title, anyone knows the answer to this?
Thanks! I’ll be sure to try that one out.
How have you been reporting? Is using the bug report the correct way to go?
So far its been a bit of a challenge to catch their names since some wobble hard (spaz in/out as you call it), glitch into the resource node or even appear upside down.
I’d like for Anet to make it such that the name/portrait stays on my screen for traditional reporting despite the bot teleporting away but not sure if this will cause any gameplay issues. Either way, I hope they provide an easier way for us to report the blink bots.
Unless I am looking for something (or someone) in particular I don’t go inspecting every name of every mob I meet. I just don’t think thats an enjoyable way to play.
Having an aura or unique colouring to veteran or champion mobs would go a long way to convey the information at a glance; especially if the vet/champion is aggro’ed in the middle of battle by a shifting area of engagement, it is even less unlikely that the name will be noticed.
If its not unreasonable, could we have some distinguishing name tags for Champions and Veteran (etc) creatures? Some visual cue such as a different colour font, aura surrounding the creature perhaps etc? Even back in GW1, Elite creatures had a special colouring.
I confess I haven’t been going around checking the names of every creature I fight beforehand and right now, the way I am finding out is when I get killed by a surprisingly powerful enemy.
