Absolutely not there are too many idiots running around not knowing what they are doing now.

You should have to take a commander test to get one! And get 100 players to sign your petition!

Perhaps combine both your suggestions?

Have 100 players sign your petition and then once you get it, its account bound.

j/k I think account bound is great but there are folks who already own multiples.

I never had this happen to me. Until I cleared her playhouse.

In Scarlet’s Playhouse, you recall Lord Faren said about her being the grudge holding type? And also how she said that you’ve now made it to the top of her list of priorities? It kinda makes sense in the light of all this.

Some of her skills tend to bounce between targets so I’m thinking some others may be collateral damage.

I’m sure they will change it, can’t see how they wouldn’t.
All we want is to left alone to get while the getting is good.

So you do understand that this is a situation that shouldn’t exist and will be changed.

Yes, all farmers wish to be left alone to exploit the event. But their obnoxiousness is also exactly why they won’t get it. Pity it wasn’t some out of the way obscure event. If so, perhaps there’d be less of an issue for everyone.

With the patch looming, my guild chose today to bring our newly Lv80s through Orr. We enjoyed completing certain events so much, we did it again and again!

There’s like.. Literally no point in going to TCCS right now unless you’re a zergling, or you want your daily Olrialchum/Sapling nodes.

None of the temples are ever up except Grenth once every two days, and half the way points are down because people won’t finish the events |:

If you do that, farmers win. They don’t own the place. If you have the manpower, be brave and participate in whatever way suits you. If anyone insults or threatens you, screenshot and send in a report. These farmers are all gold/min orientated. Every day they are banned, they die a little inside.

I say movespeed stat is as selfish as any other, attack, prec, crit, toughness, vit. I mean all stats are meant to buff the user, so they’re all equally selfish. The only non selfish stat is healing.

On that note I like the idea although I think a movespeed stat would be a bit unbalanced, there’s a lot of situations where it could be pretty overpowered. In WvW mostly.

I do hope however they do something smart with the removing of magic find in gear, if they do decide to replace it with another type of new stat then they need to be careful since it can’t be too specific. Otherwise a lot of people who currently have dedicated a lot into MF will feel betrayed.

Power, precision, crit damage, toughness, vitality are stats which only affect the ‘wearer’ but from perspective of clearing dungeon and fractals, it contributes to the team effort either by killing faster or helping you survive so that you don’t need to be rezzed as much.

Magic find gear is considered ‘selfish’ because generally, you’re considered not to be contributing as much damage, may need to be rezzed more by teammates but yet get the best loot when the boss falls.

The last hurrah for %MF? Or maybe its to let some gold flow for the anniversary celebrations (better gold to gem prices = more people willing to buy gems = $$$ for A-net).

Don’t fool yourself, the ember farm is based on an exploit. If A-net said otherwise, its just so that they won’t have to ban half the player population ahead of their anniversary and gem store sales.

As Colin said, there won’t be any banhammer to champion loot. However, I don’t read his post as saying things will remain the same but that each champions will still drop the champ chest when killed. It also says that they will be fixing the reward in intentional fail. My guess is, champ chest only awarded on success of the event. That means the ember farm can go on but not at the current frequency. This move will also align the player base to want the DE to succeed.

I think farmers should also reflect on their own behavior when wondering why folks will want to ‘grief’ them. But I suppose no one is really going to convert anyone else here so just play how you want until this gets patched (and it will get patched because this issue has become toxic and divisive to the community). For now, farmers will continue to farm and folks who want to complete events will do so. If there is a conflict, well I guess whoever is playing as intended will ultimately win out. LOL.

I just want to point out that if those that deliberately fail events aren’t going to get banned, then those that deliberately complete events are certainly not going to get banned, whatever the underlying reason.

If Colin didn’t seem to worried / throwing the E word around and wanting farmers banned for killing champs, then nor should the players.

Players can bring his attention to issues and both sides can then attempt to justify their POVs. Nothing wrong with that. That’s what happened with MF.

better solution:

Don’t tie the event to Arah…. Then we know that there won’t be any legitimate progressionists that are completing the event. Easy to tell the griefers from the players that way.

As I said…griefing is griefing. Doesn’t matter which side you’re on.

Completing an event that is intended to be completed is never going to be taken as griefing. Insulting players, however, that are trying to complete the event could get you in trouble.

Griefers like you make the community a very hostile place. I can only hope Anet will see these responses and properly ban those who are harassing farmers for no other reason then trying to make people mad.

This post is pretty funny; farmers turning around and crying about griefers when they are the ones deliberately failing events for personal enrichment and insulting people for doing what the game was designed for (i.e. completing events).

It’s pretty funny, as in an odd way, that you can’t see that it isn’t that they complete the event but their stated reason for doing it.

You’re upset that they complete the events to ‘grief’ the farmers. But why can’t they complete it? It was made to be completed. Nobody owns it. You don’t and I don’t.

Actually, farmers will mind as long as the event gets completed. Doesn’t matter whether they do it to upset farmers or because they want to follow the pact’s progression through Orr (even when they’ve asked nicely beforehand), farmers will claim they’ve been trolled and insults will fly etc. IMO, since asking nicely doesn’t serve any purpose (and ironically may lead to a sense of entitlement in farmers), why bother to?

The argument against completing the ember event in Cursed Shore has even less weight than for completing the Frostgorge events. For FG, some folks say “why are you taking an interest only now?” and there is no deliberate failure too. But in CS, people were actually regularly completing the events leading up to assaulting the Gates of Arah in the weeks leading up to the Queen’s Jubilee. And speaking of griefing, I have the Gates of Arah waypoint but now I need to run the gauntlet because folks are deliberately (though indirectly) locking it?

No farmer wants to admit it is bad game design which causes this conflict amongst players because it is the bad design which lets them farm and enrich themselves thus.

The first time I did it was by accident. Then it struck me that THIS was the event that everyone had been talking/complaining about. That was the only zerg I ever joined; I left after just one run.

The rewards are nice but no, I didn’t enjoy it; Mainly because of the deliberate fail. To me, it felt too much like exploiting A-net’s poor game design.

Say whatever you want, but Tyria was alot better place while that kind of people was kept in cof p1. Alas, they unleashed monsters into open world and there is no going back now. In a week more of those people will be in world, when gauntlet farming is closed, oh joy!

At least in CoF P1 or whatever dungeon, it took some expertise to get rewarded. Now, a bunch of random people running around tagging everything and being rude to everyone else is rolling in $$$.

IMO, bad development for the game.

Simple solution to the problem: TIME.
If the event goes on for too long champions will get INVULNERABLE and will ONE-SHOT everyone to DEATH. They will REMAIN INVULNERABLE for several seconds and go back to normal. If people keep delaying the event the INVULNERABILITY will b]LAST LONGER,[/b] to the point were people can’t do the event anymore.

Even simpler solution. EVENT FAILED. Champions disappear.

I present to you there is a better solution that doesn’t involve changing the champion farm at all.

Remove the reason people feel the need to farm the champions. There are plenty of ways to do it. The problem isn’t that people want to fail the event to mess with other people, unlike the other side that want to complete it mostly to just hurt the farmers. The problem is that people feel they are forced to farm in order to get what they want. If you removed the need to farm in order to get those items, you remove the problem without having to nerf anything.

We aren’t talking some incredibly complex fix either. Right now people do it in order to get one of the new skins, let’s be honest we’ve all gotten one of the 20+ gold items and sold it, that’s how we make our money. What if Anet made those skins craftable, but account bound? Sure they could still drop, but if you could also craft them you wouldn’t see many of these problems. They could even add special recipes in the black lion chests, or just make them available in the gem store for 200 gems etc. These are just ideas, but the point is to remove the reason people feel the need to farm.

Again something the people getting angry at the farmers don’t seem to understand is that WE DON"T ENJOY THE MINDLESS FARMING. It’s just a means to an end. The means is farming, the end is enjoyment. If Anet provides a way to reach that enjoyment with different means I can guarantee you that people will go that path.

This is my solution to the issue (originally presented in https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/The-Shank-Anchorage-farm-rewards-failure/page/2#post2619893)

For all Dynamic Events, make the ‘champ loot’ not awarded or lootable immediately but accumulated in a buffer (or whatever the proper term is) for each player. If the event succeeds, everyone involved gets whatever they’ve earned in the buffer as a bonus chest. If it fails, you get only the karma and XP.

Overall, the Zerg will get their rewards, players who want to complete events can do so (with some assistance from the zerg even) and A-net will not be rewarding failure.

Sounds like promoting my own idea but I think this would be easier to implement across all events in the game than having a dev customizing for each event in the game.

Anyway, I have my own concerns with this champ farming as well:

1. Inflation – I’ve noticed the upward creep of prices for desirable goods. The few items I’ve been monitoring, as much as 60% since the Queen’s Jubilee started. How are folks who do not want to participate in zergs going to keep up? Or is this what A-net plans for GW2 to be now?

2. ‘Skill vs reward’ – Personally I didn’t fare very well in dungeons but I could understand that those who frequented Dungeon Explorables gaining some nice loot and other rewards. Its not easy and takes some amount of expertise to overcome. These zerg, its just a bunch of people running around and tagging as much as they can. And they bring so much toxicity to the community, besides. Hard for me to see why is this being rewarded.

I’m very interested to see how A-net plans to fix this.

Why are you including farmers in Frostgorge Sound in this stereotype? The only event you fail there is the quaggan event, which spawns the champion quaggan. However, if someone does complete the event, the quaggan doesnt spawn, but all it really does is remove 1 champion out of the rotation.

Actually, that event triggers automatically on a timer and if no one happens to be around to save the quaggan, the champ quaggan spawns. Its not a deliberate failure like the ember farm event in CS. There is a difference.

That said, I’ve seen remarks like “get with the zerk and don’t kitten (starts with ‘f’)-up the rotation”. When I see that kind of thing, I kill the Svanir trying to abduct the quaggan and solo the Aetherblade event for 2 or 3 cycles.

Suggestion on "charging" skills

justkoh.4073

Hi all,

I am trying to get some feedback here regarding 2 skills, the Elementalist’s Ride the Lightning and the Warrior’s Bull Charge.

I would like to suggest that these 2 skills be changed to mimic the Mesmer’s Spear skill Surge in the sense that:
If I have a target, the Mesmer charges towards the target,
If I have no target, the Mesmer charges forward in whatever direction she is facing; even in combat. I can use it to escape or as a speed boost.

Currently Ride the Lightning and Bull Charge will rush towards a target if one is selected (expected). But if there is no target selected, it could charge towards a nearby random one; even one out behind or off-screen to the side. If changed, it could be used for offence as well as escape (or perhaps it is deliberately so).

However, I am no pro of these 2 classes so would just like to get some feedback if they are better left as is or if anyone knows if they are deliberately made so.

Thanks.

The Shank Anchorage farm rewards failure

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

justkoh.4073

Hey, I was wondering if this would work out as a suggestion.

For Dynamic Events such as this one, the ‘champ rewards’ are not awarded or lootable immediately but accumulated in a buffer (or whatever the proper term is) for each player. If the event succeeds, everyone involved gets whatever they’ve earned in the buffer. If it fails, you get only the karma and XP. This way, zerg groups will still get their rewards and players who want to complete events in CS will get help from the zerg.

Farmers will probably not be happy but they should also realize that the current situation cannot be maintained without change.

For those who say that farming doesn’t hurt anyone, I have this to say especially when it comes down to doing the Meta event that opens up the gates of Arah. Currently there are several threads about farmers who are intentionally failing the “Secure the Pact staging area at Shank Anchorage” part of the Meta event in Orr to farm all the Champs that spawn during the event. Thus causing gates of Arah to be permanently closed and thus keeping players from finishing their personal stories, and or from getting Shards of Zhaitan for work towards thier Legendary. This is GAME BREAKING and needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

It’s not in the least game breaking and I’m no farmer.

The gates to the dungeon aren’t closed, you can still enter the dugeon. Only the waypoint of the dungeon is closed. So go to the nearest way point and run to the dungeon.

Except the run to that waypoint isn’t exactly a walk in the park. Its like I have a waypoint but I cannot use it because people are keeping it locked.

I agree that it’s not game breaking because the dungeon can still be accessed but this is starting to approach the definition of griefing.

Sarcasm aside, while it’s true there’s nothing preventing you from succeeding the event, don’t think for a second that it’s socially acceptable to ruin other people’s fun.

But its OK for farmers to deliberately fail events for profit and threaten players who interfere with their precious route?

You’re missing the point about social norms.

If you interfere with their farming route, obviously you provoke an angry response. Don’t act like they aren’t justified to be mad at you.

To be clear, it’s NOT okay for them to act like they own the map. However, it is the established social norms, and it’s not nice to purposely go against them just to provoke an angry response.

We’re talking basic social behavior here. If you go to a party and everyone is doing pot, you aren’t going to lecture them about not doing pot and confiscate it from them. Sure, what they are doing is illegal, but it was the social norm at the party.

What’s right or wrong legally is one discussion, but what is right or wrong socially is something that should be very clear.

The social norm is if you were part of the zerg, you play as part of the zerg. That’s understandable.

But I did not join the pot party. If I knew a pot party was going on, I call the cops.

My brother and I are non-WvW players (you can assume its always 2 persons playing and sticking together) and only enter it for the sake of map completion. We also do not PvP ever.

Usually when we see any visible enemies, we’d avoid them. But the other day, we were both attacked and killed by a Thief. It was sad but kind of expected given our lack of PvP skills. I am not raging.

Anyway, since I am forced to enter WvW for map completion, I’m here today to ask for some advice on how to survive such encounters. Or good habits that will at least make his killing us more difficult. Ideally, we’d like to force the Thief to break aggro and let us WP out to another part of the map.

We have Lv80 characters of all classes so I will welcome general, as well as class specific suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

I’m gonna go do those events now because it makes people mad.

Some events you can’t do much about; especially alone. If farmers choose to stand aside, unfortunately its their prerogative and a design flaw on A-net’s part (rewarding deliberate failure), But, with some others, even alone, you absolutely can!

Take the Aetherblade event for example (the one with the Aetherblade ship). It is solo-able and if you succeed, the zerg doesn’t get to milk the event for multiple champions. Even if they’ve arrived, you can end it faster by taking out as many vets and normal ones as quickly as you can. Its completing an event legitimately and you cannot be banned for it. Report anyone who sends threatening messages.

Another example that you can do something about are the ones that need to be completed in order NOT to spawn a champion. There are some out there, I won’t go into which and where. Again, you are completing an event legitimately. Nothing wrong with that.

Some would call this being a skritthead. LOL. Perhaps, but its fighting fire with fire.

More people = lower chance of obtaining weapons.
I think this could fix the problem.
(furthermore zerging is not even so challenging)

that would literally kill a part of what made Gw2 stand out from the rest of the MMORPGS. if that happened then it wouldn’t be people yelling at you for ruining their farming spot, it be people yelling at you for just being there.

least now you can be there and join the farm.

I agree that reward sharing is what makes GW2 stand out before in a really good way. Ironically, its this exact thing that’s now enabling those zerg groups and turning people nasty.

Its a great pity because things have just turned so hostile overnight. An unintended consequence perhaps but I believe A-net should take a closer look; Starting with clarification regarding their stance on farming/champ zerg farm/event completion and then firm action against any verbal abuse or threats.

I just had someone from zerg whisper me all in caps (“STOP KILLING THEM”) when I did an event today. Pity he didn’t go further, I wanted to screenshot and report. And I didn’t do as demanded anyway.

They tried to cater to both kinds of players in this patch.

The balloons, the zerg downstairs in the pavilion, not to mention the champ loot for the casual players and the Gauntlet for people who want to try their skill.

They even separated the achievements in two categories so that the one is not dependent on the other.
That was a very good direction to take with the Living Story

Honestly I don’t know what people want anymore

I feel that, ironically, if they truly wanted to cater to both groups, it should have been under one category (say, 16 from current Jubilee and 15 from current Gauntlet) and needed just 16 or so to complete for the combined reward of both.

Farmers do not own or have priority to events. I just think A-net needs to make it clear that completing events leading to disruption of a champ zerg is not an offence and take action about those who get abusive (either through false reports or verbal abuse) about it.

I don’t join the champ zergs but I think farmers, as well as everyone else, can play how they want but events were made to be completed. If there is a conflict, farming should not take precedence.

At least in the high level zones where I tested this out, I know there are enough champs to complete a full farming circuit even if some were ‘removed from rotation’. It remains to the farmers to 1. not be so greedy, 2. be more flexible and 3. take it as a challenge to find routes that will not be disruptive or disrupted.

Observing Cursed Shore farming on my server, I believe that they actually made some areas of the map more accessible by clearing champs that were on a respawn timer (a champ guarding a skill point for example); perhaps they do everyone a favor if they’d stick to that.

I am amazed that farmers who earn that much gold and especially now, when the waypoint cost has been discounted get so abusive that they have to wp a bit more.

The problem with people demanding zerker

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: justkoh.4073

justkoh.4073

IMO, people want ‘zerker gear, mistakenly or otherwise, to clear dungeons faster. When they’ve done a dungeon often enough and become familiar with the mechanics, survival is less and less of a challenge and therefore, they turn to improving damage. Unfortunately, because of the dodge mechanic, going completely offensive becomes feasible, removing interdependence and causing an elitist mindset to develop.

I don’t use ’zerker gear myself (I need help surviving) and dislike the existence of such elitism but can appreciate their contribution to party damage when they deign to party with me. :P

MF is a different story. Its a trait that only benefits the wearer. The reason you don’t see “MF gear only” dungeon parties only reflects the parasitic nature of MF.

With regards to OP’s “play how they like”, sure, if you’re playing alone or in a mass-tag event, no one is stopping you from farming PVE with MF. You sacrifice damage and/or survivability to your own detriment. In a dungeons or fractal, unfortunately, we also need to consider that others want to “play how they like” too i.e. not to be dragged down be a leech.

If MF is not to be removed, it needs to be kept out of party based activities like dungeons and fractals.

Guardian or Warrior?

Just purely based using the Braham armor, I’d say a Warrior because that’s how I picture them. I started a Warrior with the intention of using the Braham armor on her.

My Guardians would go for a more armored/knight look. For example, the Human Cultural Heavy T3 or Primeval Armor from the gem store.

Based on skills, as per other comments above

I don’t think releasing names from infrequently use accounts will ever happen.

But… how about releasing names from accounts which have been banned, case thoroughly reviewed with no possibility of being reinstated?

PvE'ers: What would it take...

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

justkoh.4073

Honestly? I don’t think you’d ever be able to convert a PvE’er who wasn’t already into WvW as well. The holdouts are people who just do not like to PvP; they don’t like competing against other people, and they most certainly do not like being attacked by other players.

As long as WvW holds the risk of being attacked and killed by other players, you will never get these PvE’ers into WvW. (And of course, if you remove that, then it’s not really WvW anymore.)

This post completely and correctly sums up my feelings as a dedicated PVE’er. I enter WvW only as a shortcut to LA (taking care to leave it ASAP so as not to hinder my team) and because map completion requires me to.

Obviously, I cannot answer the original question completely but I can give one suggestion; and that would be not to make the Obsidian Sanctum a PVP area. Forcing PVE’ers to enter the Obsidian Sanctum to complete an extremely long and frustrating jumping puzzle (in which they find themselves alone and vulnerable most of the time) and most recently, to find a kite, is forcing them into an area more suitable for griefing. IMO, you don’t really learn any WvW tactics from going through the Obsidian Sanctum except to experience ‘getting griefed’ if you’re unlucky. This does not reflect the real WvW experience and certainly would not contribute to a favorable impression of WvW. I’ve completed it myself one fine day when my server held sway over WvW but you can see the complaints on the forum over the Obsidian Sanctum.

Yes, I know Obsidian Sanctum is optional but if you’re a fan of JPs or trying to get the relevant achievements, you’d feel compelled to visit it.

Belcher Kit bugged

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

I have been playing Belcher’s Bluff on my Asura Guardian.

For some reason, the table that I create tends to disappear mid-game (once as soon as the 2nd round). So far, all 4 games I created were affected. I’m unsure what the other party sees though I suspect he/she is no longer able to make any moves (I see responses like “?”, “:(” and “what happened?”). Fortunately, I was able to deliberately lose and it still counted towards total played and races played against.

I have not been on the receiving end of this bug (ie. games started by others).

Pls fix.

Splitting Accounts Possible?

in Account & Technical Support

Posted by: justkoh.4073

justkoh.4073

It is true that we cannot offer to split accounts, or to move characters between accounts. The character data is so intertwined with the game code that separating the characters and moving them is simply impossible. (And if it was possible, then yep, the HoM would only tie to one account, not three.)

Quite honestly, I do not think this is something that we will be able to offer in the future, although devs have surprised me in the past and what we thought was un-doable becomes possible. But in the short term, however, as much as we would like to help with this — particularly because you’ve been such an amazingly supportive player! — we just can’t do it.

Hi Gaile, for tokens like Laurels and such time gated crafting material (I believe things are headed in that direction), could A-net not think of some way to be less unfriendly to folks with multiple alts? The game itself seems so alt friendly (shared achievements etc) this feels so inconsistent.

Using the OP’s case, I understand that you don’t want someone with 43 characters to get the crafting material or token 43 times faster than someone with only 1. Yet, the converse is those with multiple characters have to wait n (where “n” is the number of characters I have; 43 in the OP’s case) times longer than everyone else. Its quite enough to make me despair about arming all my characters with end-game equipment someday (I have 10 lv80s, going to be 12 at your next character slot sale).

Material like Charged Quartz crystals is already account bound and cannot be sold. However, one a day is too slow if it were a material for end-game equipment for multiple characters; especially if the recipe required multiples for a single part.

How about making it Soulbound? The problem in this case would be the multiples-of-43 stacks of souldbound material but while this policy is in its infancy, I’m sure the developers can think of some way to take that into account and implement a fix (for example a “personal soulbound material page” for each character). It would be much more alt-friendly.

(PS. I realize making the time-gated material soulbound would mean every character would have to be a master crafter in order to process those material so obviously some other changes would need to take place at the same time. Oh well, I’m no game developer but nonetheless, I hope something can be done so OP and I will not have to wait 43x and 12x, respectively, longer than normal to arm our characters)

I still need the one for full mailbox (Social at 66%). I’ve already emptied my mailbox on multiple characters. So how do it get it?

Yes, I’d really appreciate it if a GM can just mark that as completed for me so that I can get the achievement.

Is macro to hold down a key legal?

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies and advice.

I tried using ‘R’-key running today and its working out fine for me. Apparently, you can also jump while ‘R’-key running. What a difference it makes for my fingers! Also I’m glad as this involves no external software.

It’ll be good if we get a clarification on my original question for info but for playing GW2, I’m now set.

Is macro to hold down a key legal?

in Account & Technical Support

Posted by: justkoh.4073

justkoh.4073

Just want to enquire if this is legal

First, from the post on Macro policy (sticky on this subforum)

Guild Wars 2 players are permitted to use macros as long as the macros are programmed with a 1 key for 1 function protocol.
1.This means that if you program a macro, it must require one keystroke per action. You may not program a single key to perform multiple functions.

So I would like to run from one end of a zone to the other and this would require me to hold down the ‘w’ key for a prolonged period and its making my fingers ache.

I would like to create a macro which presses the ‘w’ key and then hold it for some preset amount of time and then release. For my running, I can then control the direction with the mouse and mouse keys.

I want to enquire if this is legal? My belief is that it is because its not multiple actions and is just a key press with hold. Can I get any official confirmation?

(Sorry if this has been asked before. If so, would appreciate redirection to the official answer, thx)

Suggestion: Rework Major Runes

in Suggestions

justkoh.4073

Sorry if this has been suggested before. I did a search and couldn’t find it.

Just a suggestion: how about reworking major runes so that just need 3 parts to complete the ‘set’ compared to 4 currently needed?

Minor Runes need 2 parts to complete a set; we can have 3 ‘sets’ at any one time.
Superior Runes need 6 parts to complete the set; we can have 1 ‘set’ at any one time.

If Major Runes can be reworked to need 3 parts, then we can have 2 ‘sets’ based on Major runes on at the same time making it a nice intermediate set to the above 2.

I’d definitely buy a new expansion as long as it includes a new class or 2, new spells for all existing classes and new, skimpy armor for my female toons.

Magic Find - What I don't like

Very much agree with the TS.

MF is a ‘selfish’ trait that doesn’t contribute to the team. I think A-net should make it contribute to the team and so I agree with TS’s suggestions as well.

I won’t care about what you wear as long as it doesn’t drag me down. Some classes may need Vitality and Toughness items to aid in their own survival and that is fine to me; your survival is good for the group. But if you choose to forgo that survival option, please contribute to offense; it doesn’t mean you’re free to go MF. If you’re downed, someone still has to rez you.

In reply to What happened to “everyone is allowed to play the way that they want”, I’d say that if you’re solo, no one cares; you sacrifice offensive or defensive capabilities to your own detriment. If you’re playing with others, I think they have a right to know (again, the suggestion to have an aura in the presence of %MF gear and the level of %MF displayed is a good idea). IMO, MF on armor, weapon or accessories s is akin to leeching.

Would I prefer that the slot taken by a MF user is empty? No. I’d never say I wouldn’t take you on even if you were the last player on Earth. But if I had any other choice, I would drop the MF user like a hot potato.
