I am not referring to your karma train, and by “bunker down”, I mean defending a tower with 30 ppl, 5 ACs, and a ballista. I seriously did not know it took that many to defend a tower against a similar size enemy zerg. I should note that I don’t see this sort of thing the whole time I am on, but there have been several times in recent memory.

The other day YB had 14 arrow carts in SE tower. That’s a record from what I’ve seen. Fortunately we snuck in behind as they were fighting over a bridge for whatever reason. That’s some dedication for the worst tower on the map.

I’m talking about the exploit to fire over walls and such, not just an arrow cart in a good spot. Maguuma has been on the receiving end and I agree it’s pretty awful.

Complain about anet not fixing arrow carts, not a handful of people exploiting the windowed mode oversight on each and every server.

Had a blast defending garrison today. mags capped everything but garrison. One of the longest sieges I ever defended against. And we won that battle. Recapping bay was pretty tough later, but we got it in the end. Around 200 badges in total. Great fun!

Yeah, so far this matchup, Yak’s Bend Borderlands has been the place to have fun. There’s pretty much action there any time of the day. Flip a camp or two and you’re guaranteed a fight. Take a tower or maybe even a keep (though arrow carts make this pretty difficult) and you get a full YB zerg to play with. Thanks for bringing the fight this week.

Since it was deleted I need to make clear to the person hacking in CNB it has been taken care of. The person had made the video brought them to my attention last week and we dealt with it accordingly. CNB has ZERO tolerance for hacking, so don’t accuse a whole guild over one person.

Kaineng is getting stronger as the new pvers get better in wvw and more actually level up to lvl 80. Of course we always enjoyed Karaoke Nights

It is an “exploit” in the same way that the invuln zones were an exploit. Or getting into an enemy’s citadel. Or ressing through a gate. Anet needs to fix it but nobody is going to get banned for doing it.

Every server has a few people doing it, as obnoxious as it is. It needs to be fixed but it’s here until it’s patched, and it will be used by some.

Personally, I won’t mind flip-flopping between T2/T3, or even going back to T3. Time will tell about the new guilds that joined us – whether they stay, or bandwagon away to the next big thing. To me, it will hardly matter as long as our core stays.

The tale goes as such—my guildies and I were doing what we could to protect the yaks walking from the Vale supply camp to Bay on DBBL, reset night, and admittedly not doing too well as two stealth spam thieves were basically trolling us. 

One of them a bit harder than the other. 

“Dragonbrand General”, was his name, armed with the Legendary Quip, had decided to take up residence between Briar and the supply camp, waiting in the ninja cata spot of the tower for our fluffy yaks to spawn, for him to mercilessly slaughter. 

And it was indeed merciless. He would appear, and disappear. It was like fighting a ghost that stacks bleeds and is nigh untargetable. We looked downright foolish trying to stop him. 

Little did I know how foolish trying to stop him was.

Eventually, fed up of the situation, I took a trip back to the spawn and purchased one of those Stealth Disruptors. I knew the thief liked to hide by the tower, so we posted there as bait. “Lure him over the trap, and then we’ll have his worthless invader hide”, I told my guildie.

And for a moment I actually thought this would work.

He did indeed walk right into the trap, with all the confidence of someone who is used to abusing cheap tactics for easy victory, I mean, when all you have to do is hit 5 and then 1 until you win or your opponent gets tired and leaves, why would you even blink at the thought of two players retreating from you into a narrow passage? Nothing has made you have to -think- while playing this game before, after all.

Then things got interesting. 

Swiftness buffs activated and ranged attacks blazing, we madly hunted down the enemy General, who we thought must have been in a mad panic, a dash for his life. He ran, and he ran, but it was no use, it turned out, without his stealth spam, he was just another squish. Not too far from the ninja cata spot, we down him behind the tower. Eyes gleaming murderously we get ready to enjoy our long awaited kill.

Except… Right after hitting the down state.. The Dragonbrand General vanished.

Now I am aware, thieves are a sneaky sort. I also am not fully versed in the Stealth Disruptor’s features, whether the Revealed persists on down, or anything like that. What I am aware of though, as I have my own 80 Thief, is that it is not possible through any combination of the downstate teleport and the stealth move, to get so far away from a chasing Ranger as to escape their pet AI aggro. Correct me if I’m overlooking something, but I am 97% sure.

So.. We waited there, at the spot where he vanished. There was no exp granted, no bag dropped. It was silent and calm as if there had been no furious chase, no battle at all.

Thanks to all the loot bags in EBJP that then turned into loot bags at our keep in eternal. I got around 300 kills in 30 minutes.

So that’s what the 6 golems and 40-50 people was for. I was wondering why they wanted our keep so bad.

Don’t forget the 10 arrow carts, 5 trebs, 2 catas, 1 ballista, and 1 omega that were in our keep for their 2nd attempt.

That screenshot is old, 3-4 days old. Just look at the points, this screenshot was taken when Mag had just gotten far ahead of the other two worlds, at the time when the southsun event started. So it’s no surprise that servers can take everything.

I’m talking about today, the last day before reset. Mag slammed Yaks this morning and virtually ignored Kain.

Wvw is all about numbers/coverage. It seems that YB is the weakest during that time (no offense), so it might just be an easier target for our daily karma trains (because who doesn’t need more karma 8 months into this game?!?).

I didn’t get the impression he was spying, per se. I wasn’t there for it but everyone said he was a nice guy. Spies are welcome anyway, we kind of expect them to be there some of the time.

This is not the Maguuma I remember back in Oct/Nov last year and even through Jan. Back when Maguuma had monthly Boot Camps and a friendly team work oriented communit, just seems different now.

Although id like to say thanks to the asuran maguuman who didnt spike me after i took out the redbriar(?) sentry in their borderlands 2 nights back on my upleveled necro ) spent most of that night running around seeing what I could get up to in there before being caught. Very nice of them to let me get up and claim my meager capping reward, and also the 2 other mags who where dueling Junny Purr beside Redbriar… first time ive seen that sort of civility so it was an interesting change (and in mags borderlands to boot), was a surprise after basically being forced to ditch EB due to the late night green tide taking everything we had from out outmanned hands, after loosing OL most of us said meh and went else where.

Not sure how you guys can play with all the drama and egos it seems fills your place… sounds tiring.
