I was replying to Guardians point that our “skills was being drowned out” by our numbers. Just wanted to pointed the irony of that comment when you were in T4.

How is that irony? I just said all we did was zerg around. We outnumber Yaks/CD/EBay, it’s not something we’re hiding. Whoever is saying Mag did well in T4 because of leet skills is lying. But I have no idea who this is or what you’re attempting to argue.

Yeah Bunzy doesn’t like mesmers because they repeatedly destroy him 1v1. I’d ignore him. Portals changing to a 5-man cap wouldn’t change much. Any smart group will have more than a few mesmers in it anyway.

People making jokes in a videogame or explaining to a random new commander who decides to step into wvw for the first time what they could have done better don’t seem all that terrible to me. I don’t know what specifically you’re referring to, though.

A lot of people I rarely see in-game seem to have complaints about their own server. (Used to see you a lot Ninein, but it’s been quite a while).

We have a lot of fairweathers, I think. I don’t know how anyone would go about disseminating instructions to intentionally lose a match. We’re not a hive-mind.

So just a thought I was having, if Mag is so convinced they are amazing I’d like to see at least 1 video of them wiping groups instead of them just talking. (I’d hope one person would at least be able to) I know we have a few in TV who are going to start recording all of our stuff mostly for our own benefit but all this “We wiped you X times and you never wiped us” talk just seems silly from what I’ve experienced so far seeing as I had 500+ kills on Saturday on an upleveled guardian with no elite and I’m already starting his 2nd stack of badges at level 29 I’m just tossing this up here in a hope to see some video’s by Mag and DB since it’s always nice to see the opposite side of the field yours truly a humble TC player.

My experience with this server is while their is some skilled players most people are below average. The average Maguuman is afraid to fight the enemy and will often run away or not even engage them, especially when fighting skilled enemies.

There really isn’t any guild besides [OG] that I would feel safe placing my confidence in for being able to fend for themselves. The individual skill of the other guilds on Maguuma is extremely lacking.

Next understand that TC as a community has a lot of militia presence spread among lots of small guilds. If as a guild group you are priding yourself on the back of wiping mixed-militia groups then you are easily pleased. Do fight our established guild groups then make an assessment, we have several good open-field specialist guilds who would gladly help in maguuma’s ‘evolution’.

You pride yourselves on your militia (which Maguuma just calls “players”), but then you mention that you have organized guilds who would stomp us. Who and where are they? Maguuma doesn’t rely on any one guild to carry a reputation. If we ever organized an actual gvg fight (lol not 30v30), you’d see a mix of guild tags.

Also, to whoever said we claim to never die, I die quite often. I think you’re trying to incite a flame war which is against the forum rules.

What a bizarre post. When I said “the servers you’re facing” I meant the current ones. TC does indeed outnumber Maguuma and DB. You mentioned in a previous post that Maguuma can’t kill you, and then mentioned that Maguuma couldn’t kill a bunker thief. Apologies for getting confused.

Congratulations on your multiple degrees. Really, that’s an achievement to be proud of. It has nothing to do with video games though.

I don’t think anybody has said that TC has zero skilled players. Just personally I haven’t run into them yet. It’s still early in the week, though!

For the rest of your post, most of Maguuma doesn’t aspire to higher tiers nor do we view it as a demonstration of skill or anything. If you really don’t understand what differentiates the tiers in wvw, it’s largely due to population size and coverage.

This may be true and I couldn’t really say for sure. I think the average FA player is stronger than the average Kaineng player, though. That’s a small fraction of what determines winners and losers in higher tiers, but it’s certainly a factor nonetheless.

Same old story in every PvP game, a faction/side under performs, blame it on numbers because their “skills” are leet, someone posts anidcotal evidence stories of how they beat the other side 5v1, and so on. I wonder which game that’ll be next time I see it.

Did you read my second post? I’m not great at pvp, but I can handle my own with the bulk of TC. If you play a bunker thief I doubt you’re raking in the badges, but good on you for not dying as often, I guess.

Glad to hear other people on Maguuma are endorsing the spamming emotes thing. I thought I was the only mesmer that did that. We have a d/d ele who inspired us. It seems to be bothering you quite a bit though. Remember this is just a game.

The point of this post you ask? What you’re dealing with now is the very same thing we deal with in T2 every week over and over. You’re going to have to just suck it up and get on with it, if it wasn’t us it would be someone else. This is the game system we have, you’re always fighting the big bad wolf, get over it and suck it up. ANet are the ones that need to fix this, not TC.

Out of all the T1/2 servers begging for more people in their desperate attempt to move up the ladder to achieve some sense of accomplishment, FA is the most deserving. They actually have players who know what they’re doing and do it when it needs to be done.

Also, I never want to have them in my tier again, so bandwagon here and enjoy the “large scale epic fights.”

I think the fluke of ebay winning the tier below us and pushing us down to T5 weeks ago led to a lot of transfers and fairweathers coming out, which eventually led us to T3. They’re mostly gone because in the meantime we went up against Kaineng, FA, and now TC. Personally I think Maguuma is used to more small squad play than the “throw more bodies at it” style of those T2 servers.

Don’t mean this to be disrespectful to those T2 servers, I know you all enjoy the “big epic fights” and aspire to rise in tiers. I just like keeping my fps above 5 and not being relegated to spamming 1 when I see a group of red names.

edit: we’re adapting to the zerging, but I don’t know how many of us are enjoying themselves at this point. It’s a different game.

The number of NA players is not the issue with Kaineng’s NA primetime setbacks.

we only went to t4 in the first place because some commanders decided to stop defending stuff and refused to help take our stuff back instead camping jump puzle with 30+ people and haveing dance parties while spamming mapchat telling people not to defend or take towers back despite us having the numbers in map to do these things. maguma doesnt belong in t4 anymore and commamders tanking the matchup so we end up there and giving us a week of a boring match kills morale to people who like good fights

Bump. The red servers have a great community and will make you feel right at home. They have many wvw-dedicated guilds working together to achieve a common goal. They have a bit of a coverage gap during certain timezones but hold onto a never-give-up spirit. You’ll feel right at home on _ server.

I’m not an OG fanboy and I think wvw could use some skill splits from pve, but you’ve been the most vocal on this forum about confusion and how you don’t know how to deal with it.

Please detail the spvp/pve&wvw skill splits you’re referring to.

WvW is ZergvZerg. I know a lot of you probably haven’t fought in the upper tiers. But it comes down to who can run more support builds/toughness.

This isn’t a small scale game.
