By the way, when you say you’re “Zerg busting” it typically means you’re busting a zerg with a small group. It doesn’t usually mean “trying to run over a force half your size and running away a lot”. You may want to check your definitions.

I have achieved what I set up to do : to raise awareness of hackers in this tier and many of you have responded very warmly. The best way to combat hackers is to be vigilant and report them. We have more pairs of eyes and video than ever, with fingers ready to record. It had a tremendous effect last night at SEA timezone. The cowardly hackers were so afraid that their multiple character accounts with legendaries were to be frozen and investigated that they turned off their hacks.

This was very clear to us as we assaulted Kaineng Hills to take it back again. This time, instead of 1-2 hours, it took 15mins. Make no mistake, there were still hundreds of casualties from the heavily ACed up room but no impossible LOS ACs shooting through walls. We noted the enemy set up a line of AC outside the inner keep champions walls, something they never done before on previous nights. Maybe their siege commander knows they might need those to cover some positions this night when video is recording. Nevertheless, these legit ACs were easily destroyed and those ACs inside the keep did not fire through the walls.

After taking Hills, we went to Garrison. Unfortunately, I heard over vent that screenshots were taken at Garrison regarding a AC firing at position that is not achievable normally. It would appear someone’s ego was so badly bruised that they risked using zoomhack again.

Nevertheless, garrison was taken in 20mins by enraged Kainengs on a mission to kill and farm the cowards ! I jest . It is just that Hills inner keep champion room is designed such a way that it becomes almost not takeable with zoomhacks.

Maybe the screenshot taker might wanna share this on forum but it would likely get infracted so we just save it and maybe make it into a video for youtube for your viewing pleasure.

For the latecomers to this thread and wondering what the fuss is about. Go to youtube and search for gw2 zoomhack to see how to identify zoomhackers and report such cowards. There are 2 videos that is quite clear how it works.

Your analogy is wrong. DB didn’t court any of these guilds, and if they do leave later, we won’t be affected. We’ve always had a happy, close-knit community, and your drama is not welcome here.

Your behavior, however, speaks volumes about why some of the guilds chose to leave your server, though.

Calvin, i understand what you’re saying and honestly you’re right. However, DB went through a very similar experience not that long ago so lets not forget how it feels to be on the other side of this equation. People do have a right to put their feelings and opinions out there.

Anyways, welcome to the new DB guilds hopefully we can all work together to further our server.

You are right, but there is a way to share opinions. All I’m saying is… it’s okay to share feelings and opinions as long as we’re civil. Personal attacks on these boards are not very welcome. It’s a game.

This is how we dealt with it back then. Many people felt cheated, we all felt let down, the server crashed from T3 to T6, but we didn’t create so much drama.

Despite having the biggest NA presence, Mags were hardly in lead during NA prime time until Tuesday when DB eased up a bit, victory within the tier assured.

The outmanned buff is on a per-map basis, I believe. There are also some bugs with the outmanned buff. I hope you’re having some fun fights in the game!

Yak’s Bend has an older playerbase so they have real-life responsibilities (work, family) to tend to and aren’t on as much. They also have a few folks taking college finals around this time. So, they haven’t been as active this week. I’m sure in due time they will rally the troops and come out swinging. They might even schedule a raid to try and overcome Maguuma.

And speaking as someone from Maguuma, I don’t think we’re elite, but I appreciate the compliment. “We always have something to learn!” is the attitude we carry into any fight.

Good defense (and maybe scouting) of YB garrison a few minutes ago. We got those golems there rather quick, but even without a waypoint you had a ton of people rush into the lord room to wipe us out.

I don’t think it’s very nice to take credit for your entire PPT (whatever it may have been) simply because it happened during your official guild raid time. I think EA has the right idea of focusing on defense considering DB’s SEA population. It’s not always beneficial to go on the offensive.

I was bored out of my mind when Maguuma was a superzerg that crushed everything. It wasn’t fun for me or a lot of other players but people like the karma/exp so it happened. I get why the SEA players stick around due to server loyalty, but it just doesn’t seem all that exciting (to me, personally). This is not a troll.

Maguuma threads are the new Hamsterdam. No mods, no masters.

I don’t think we belong to T2 yet.

We came back up from T6 by slowly building our community, and attracting players. New players join the game every day, new guilds form and disintegrate every day.

Skill and builds are largely even across most servers in adjacent tiers, it’s just a matter of getting the numbers and coverage. It will be silly for us to presume that we’ll be able to further our skill to an extent that we’ll completely steamroll higher ranked servers with our current numbers.

20 vs. 60 victories just happen on this forum, and very rarely in the game.

So yeah, we need people to accomplish that goal. I’m actually in no hurry. #7 is not bad, and I like the fights we’ve been having the last few times. I can solo roam, zerg, farm, and do whatever in this tier. We’ll get there when we deserve it.

When a server wins at wvw, the hardcore players get sick of queues and many others simply get bored. Then they all transfer to the next up-and-coming wvw superstar server to feel good about stomping lower population servers until they hit their peak. The cycle continues……….

I cannot speak for the whole guild entirely, but I do talk to a lot of the higher ranked in NNK.

I believe the question is “why NNK stays on Dragonbrand where they do not have competition?”

NNK have no reason to leave Dragonbrand, nor have thought about it as a guild. They love the server and the community as much as someone loves their favorite sports team. We have our troubles here and there and no matter what we will always stay in Dragonbrand.

We do have competition some times here and there, Kaineng and SoS in the passed, we had trouble with them before. And even now with Maguuma sometimes. Just field more people in your server to give us trouble. We do get the competition but not as much.

We are happy in Dragonbrand, we love Dragonbrand and its players.

That all sounds pretty, but why is a NA server bragging that it’s got a timezone counter to typical NA player hours? The biggest thing people are complaining about is the pure stupidity that superiority in one timezone causes, which could really be solved by merging EU and US servers together

Dragonbrand never really advertises or gets guilds to come, we just play to have fun. We have guilds come and go all the time. If people want to come to DB, then that is fine. But usually now, they want us to pay for their transfers. Which I, myself, don’t support.

A lot of DB player seem really sensitive about their SEA presence. They get defensive, aggressive, and accuse others of trolling. It’s really not necessary and kind of disrupts the civility that these forums are meant to inspire.

The video posted was called “NNK PvDoor” and was a sped-up video of them attacking nothing but gates for 6 minutes. It didn’t answer the “why,” it only showed us what was already questioned.

And Eva’s answer doesn’t really count since she left the server because she couldn’t find other people to play with when she was online. Surely if she played with these folks, she’d have a lot of friends.

edit: so I guess we’re left with the NA chest-thumper answer about why their friends stick around. One out of four is not great.

It took 7 days to accrue 5 pages when it was DB/YB/SoS. Three pages and counting, 40 hrs later, with Mag in the mix. Really wish this would stop. So many useless posts to sift through.

No, we aren’t. On reset we could not even field enough NA to cover three maps let alone four. Our NA prime time is lacking quit a bit with fighting two NA prime time servers like Maguma and Yaks Bend. We cannot combat the massive zergs these two servers put up leaving us severly crippled during this time. We need more NA to put up a better fight during this time.

I don’t think Maguuma has all 4 maps queued at reset these days. I’m not positive it’s a numbers issue with your NA troubles but yeah your SEA presence is the thing DB is known for.

I’m requesting that Maguuma’s server be renamed to Pride Lands. The only time I’ve seen Maguuma in WvW is in one, big, giant, absurdly sized zerg that I swear everyone on their server is in. You find out where the zerg is, you go to the opposite side of the map, and then all of a sudden the stampede from The Lion King comes pouring over the hills and there’s nothing you can do because you evaporate and die faster than Mufasa. I feel like Simba every time I look up a hill or tower.

tldr; Maguuma is the stampede from The Lion King.

The furries left along with the troll goons and juggalos. We’re now the largest #1 Christian server NA.

I forgot about our old friends CL and BP. I’m having a lot of fun in this match. If swirling winds wasn’t a thing I’d be even happier.
