The way the game encourages people to work together instead of against each other (in PvE) – personal loot, gathering nodes, mobs can be tagged by more than one player, dynamic events, open-world bosses, etc… Unlike in WoW, you’re actually happy to see other players out in the open world.
Unless I have to wait for a world-boss to spawn, I can usually knock out most dailies in 15 minutes or so… I really don’t see the big deal here.
No.
If I wanted a game with that level of childish bullcrap, I would go back to WoW. Maybe that’s what you should do?
What is the obsession with bunny ears?
They’re cute. Some people like that sort of thing… other people don’t.
That’s how life works.
The cringe is real.
It’s going to be a real eyesore to see all the human female players with this.
Maybe you should stop worrying about what other players like to do.
Bunny ears! Thanks folks!

I was in AB and just now noticed the vendor for these. Can someone tell me who these are for? They’re gated behind a time and money gate that would require someone be brain dead to buy one.
…
Just looked at the wiki page: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bloodbound_weapons
Since they scale to the level of the character using them (and they have two upgrade slots!), these would be useful for leveling new toons – equip it at level 1 and use it all the way to 80.
If you’re familiar with WoW, these would be like the “Heirloom” gear in that game.
I get the feeling that if ANet doesn’t have bunny ears out by Easter, there will be riots. o.O

I know I’ll certainly be hopping mad.

Just… don’t go for the chickens in Ebonhawke.
Shhh! That’s the best place to farm this achievement…

None are important to me … maybe important to you
Don’t try to speak for everyone
He’s not “speaking for everyone”. He made a list of things that matter to him and asked for input from others.
WoW did a pretty good job with having a regular rotation of recurring events… would be nice to see something similar in GW2.
Hey people.
…
I mean.. where are the things that people have been suggesting on the forums?
…
There’s still almost three weeks left, I would imagine that they’re gonna save the most requested stuff until the end (if they even bring that stuff back – BUNNY EARS!)
If it is an actual expansion, and not just end-game meta maps, I might consider it.
Otherwise, no.
New in the gem store: Selfie Stick!
WoW did this over a year ago:
I hope anet realises that lfr ruined raiding in wow and therefore has no place here
Not this tired argument again…
No. It did not “ruin” raiding in WoW. In fact it allowed people that would otherwise never have raided to experience an easier version of raiding, and they then often were inspired to seek out formal raid teams to do the regular version.
You mean something like : Visions of the Mists
This is my favorite of all the GS skins, even more-so than the visually obnoxious legendaries.
Baseball caps and aviator sunglasse in a fantasy MMO …
Never understood this.
Bobble heads, food fights, candy-cane hammers, etc… it’s “fantasy”, and that can mean just about anything depending on whom you ask… including baseball caps, sunglasses, and bunny ears.
This game has plenty of goofy stuff like bobble-heads, aviator boxes, food fights, chicken runs, crab toss, a bow that shoots ponies, etc… and plenty of players that seem to enjoy the flavor that this type of content adds to the overall experience.
Sounds to me like OP is simply playing the wrong game, and should pursue his opportunities with something that more suits what he is looking for. Staying here and complaining about something that was never designed for his tastes in the first place seems kinda silly, IMHO.
I would certainly pursue more of these “toy” items if this feature were to be added.
WoW added their “toy-box” feature well over a year ago, c’mon Anet, time to catch-up…
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/every-day-sale-in-the-month-of-march/
is it happening?
There’s no telling what might be dug up from the depths of Black Lion history, so be sure to check in every day as many items and sales will only be available for one day.
hopefully this counts some of those weapons skins (eyeing u fused weapons)
i have my doubts since those were claim ticket items and not straight gem purchases, but a man can dream… a man can dream
Welp, there goes all my gold.
My God, some people love to hear themselves complain.
No. It’s a level 15 boss, and it’s fine the way it is.
If you’re bored, maybe you should be helping with the pre’s instead of spamming /sleep while standing on the platform.
I’d like to know how observant you people are of other peoples looks?
What does impress you?
What turns you off?Personally i look at other ppl alot, especially when running in zergs or doing stuff in the cities. It really great when people dress accordingly with their profession or race (I guess I’m a bit inspirera by GW1 there), an Engineer should not look like a ninja and a Sylvari should preferably wear leaves
Too much Particle effects or Troll looks turns me off (especially troll Charr with dragonball Hair and colorfull scarfs) unless they’re somehow really great.
I don’t waste my time worrying about how other people choose to dress their toons.
Thanks for sharing. Can you, or others, give some examples of items that formerly were offered that you’d like to see again? I’m happy to take your ideas to the dev team!
Thanks.
Another vote for bunny ears.
Yes, they are goofy, but so are bobble-heads, aviator boxes, and many other things.
I’ve got the devil horns, so I need the ears, too. Just… because.
I’m just wondering if anyone else feels the same?
:/
I found my way into this game a year ago after giving up on WoW, and was delighted at how much different this game was from other MMO’s.
That said, I really hate HoT and the direction they seem to be headed now.
I know it’s unrelated to the GW2 Universe, and that there is already an MMO with the franchise but… LIGHT SABERS !!! We need them!!! I really want to make a Sith (red light saber pls!!!)!
Not red, but kinda light saber-ish:
Jormag is more just fracking annoying than he is interesting or challenging.
I don’t understand why people feel the need to interject their negativity.
…
Simple – certain types of people are miserable when other people have things that they personally don’t like.
I find these types of people rather amusing, and will generally make it a point to wear whatever it is that has got them all riled up. In this case, I’ll being wearing wings on my back more often now. Just because.

If you’ve seen it for yourself, why make this thread?
The boxes were removed some time ago, having ‘collapsed from all the weight of the players that used to stand on them’.
.
I am not referring to the boxes, I am well aware that they were removed a while ago.
I am talking about the tower that is on the opposite corner from where the boxes used to be. Some players figured out how to get up there to avoid damage while still being able to attack the boss.
Did they (hopefully) fix the Golem MKII safe spot exploit?
Last night was the first time in quite a while that I didn’t see a stack of people hiding from the boss’s attacks up on the tower.
My cat is named “Spot” (Data’s cat in STNG)
and a shark named “Fish Are Friends” (Finding Nemo)
Coming soon:

… Therefore, no, B&S isn’t a threat to World of Warcraft. Neither was GW2, nor any other past, present, and future mmorpg. The king reigns supreme.
You know that WoW lost 50% of their subscribers since they released the last XP, yes? …and that the loss was so rapid, they announced that they will no longer make quarterly sub numbers public. The “king” is showing his age.
But, as you have said, it was due to the WoW expac, not because of any other game. It’s the same situation as with GW2 – the main threat to the game comes from the game itself, not from outside.
Fair enough. The old saying was always “the only thing that can kill WoW is WoW.”

Why? Because it will end exactly the same way Tequatle ended. Either the boss becomes to hard and a big majority of the playerbase start complaining and/or stop doing the boss which ultimately leads to arenanet caving and making the fight faceroll once again.
….The devs admitted that version of Teq was unintentional. It was a bug when they increased the WB’s health pools, but made them critable – Tez got the HP increase, but was only critable from one small spot below his head ( I think). The devs didn’t “cave” to anyone, they fixed their mistake.
Except that tequatle was UNCRITTABLE ever since his revamp. Unlike any other world boss. This was by design.
Either way, they admitted that version of Teq was a MISTAKE, and they fixed it.

Golem MKII… they need to fix the new safe-spot exploit on the top of the tower in the back. Not sure how they get up there, but there’s always a bunch of people attacking from there without fear of getting hurt.
It’s either gonna be really cool, or another Frozen Maw type bullet-sponge boss.
Fingers crossed for it being cool…
Ugh.
This item is stupidly expensive for what it does, I’ll pass.
Account-bound items belong on a wardrobe tab anyway, but that will never happen because “Create the problem + Sell the solution == PROFIT!!!”
Gliding in Tyria:
Guess what? Gliding is coming to Central Tyria.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/state-of-the-game-update-q1-2016/
Hallelujah! This should put an end to the arguments.
I DO want gliding in main Tyria, and don’t assume that you can tell me what I want.
Please DO give Gliding to Core Tyria…
I want big, open maps that are fun to explore…. you know, an actual expansion.
Leave the event/puzzle/maze maps for end-game grinding (like Silverwastes, & Dry-Top).
I would be much, much more inclined to actually collect endless tonics if they had a wardrobe type tab.
As it is, they are just bag-filler, so I don’t bother.
