Any map not designed by the HoT team.
Thank you all so much for your replies so far! It’s been 3 years since I built my current PC, so I am way out of the loop…
Asking for a friend…
Can GW2 be played on a modern entry level computer? She’s looking for a budget PC, maybe in the $500 range… would this be enough to play the game at a reasonable level?
It’s borderline exploit and exploits should be dealt with.
Now, I’m fine with arguing it was bad for the game. But “exploit”? Using class skills as intended?
They obviously had not intended for the turrets to be used in that manner, or they would not have made the change.
Bloodstone Fen (the first one) was fun, but they get progressively worse.
Feedback thread started less than 12 hours after release? Of course you’re gonna get plenty of positive response from the type of players that rush through everything in a few hours.
Personally, the map is yet another “How do I get there from here?” multi-layer mess. “Lessons learnt?” more like “lessons weren’t”
Time for a break, methinks.
It’s too early for a feedback thread… it’s only been out for a few hours, and a lot of people haven’t even got home from work yet. All your gonna get right now is fan-boy types that rushed through the content so they could be “first”…. of course they are gonna come here and sing praises…
Same issue here.. unplayable at the moment.
As long as inventory space is a monetized asset, this is unlikely to happen.
The same could be said for the dyes and outfits, but they eventually added those to a wardrobe feature to where it could be access account wide across all characters.
I remember purchasing exclusive dyes and outfits from the cash shop and once they added that wardrobe feature and I went to the black lion armorer I ended up with more than one of the outfits I had previously purchased.
That’s true… they do seem to be rather selective in what they choose to put into “wallets”, though.
As long as inventory space is a monetized asset, this is unlikely to happen.
It’s barely worth the effort to do a weekly key-farm any more.
…and I would never buy those keys.
SO… you’re considering kittening off one portion of your player-base to appease another portion?
That’s not really a good idea…
I don’t personally have one, but I think many players pursued the Dreamer because of the sound. It would be highly unfair to them to change its behavior in such a significant manner appease a handful of forum complainers.
I get it was an april joke back then, but it has no place in this world whatsoever, and only creates a lot of noise in the rest of the world.. isn’t it time we get rid of it?
TLDR; “Stop having fun doing things that I don’t like.”
I have never once been somewhere that did not have a repair point. Dungeons have them, all maps have them, many of them are located right beside a waypoint. I dislike having my money wasted on an item that serves no practical purpose especially since repairing has no actual cost to it.
Story missions don’t have repair points. You either have to leave, and then start over at the beginning and sit through boorish un-skippable RP, or use a repair canister (available on the Gem Store!).
Does that mean that female characters would be able to run around with exposed nipples?
Good news everyone – Easter is coming, and bunny ears will probably show up on the gem store again!
Those HoT maps aren’t gonna get people to spend money. Instead, give them a week of gliding and auto-loot, as someone already suggested.
I agree, this glider is too big. Even zoomed all the way out, it blocks too much of my screen when other players use it near me.
There is someone in the art department whose sole job is to slap butt-capes on otherwise nice looking armor sets. Are you trying to make that person unemployed?!?
…
White text on a black background is bad for the eyesight — that is a scientific fact. …
I agree – Light text on a dark background is extremely difficult for me to look at for more than a couple of minutes.
As long as storage space is a profit item on the gem store, expect this trend to continue.
…
People who see that you’re fighting alone with a group of griffons, take the opportunity of their distraction to gather without helping and just run away letting you die a horrible death. Probably while they run away, they’re thinking something like: “Ugh, having to help other players disturbs my daily run for Winterberries”.
I alt-f4 when I see players doing race to a node that I am fighting for without helping… they can have the mobs. Does that make me a bad person?
This has been suggested countless times before… As long as there is money to be made by selling storage expansion on the gem store, this will never happen.
… End boss battles seem to have this problem most often.
That seems to be true in most of the LS chapters – the final boss is behind lengthy un-skippable RP, and seems to be designed specifically to drive $$$sales$$$ of revive orbs and repair canisters.
It was never about “breaking immersion”… some SJW-type complained that the female stretching animation was too sexy, and got it removed.
You got your use out of the item. No refunds.
Simple – make a “user-created outfit tab”, and sell them on the gem-store like they do with the shared inventory slots… 700 gems for each slot, or whatever. Slots are account-wide, and will not allow you to select the slot if it contains cultural skins that you can’t use.
Profit.
Please stop, the horse’s corpse doesn’t deserve this kind of abuse.
If you are only interested in getting your elite spec, you can get the HP’s in WvW via:

…which are used to purchase:

Necro or ranger. Asura for jumping puzzles – they don’t block as much of the terrain in tight spaces.
@Devs… underwater combat is horrible, please don’t waste your time producing any more.
@devs, please don’t listen to these people, you don’t need this kind of negativity in your waters. Please spend all your efforts on remaking what could be the most unique and greatest battle platform of all RPGs
@devs please don’t listen to these people, you don’t need this kind of time wasting suggestion clogging up your productivity. Please spend all of your efforts continuing to make decent above ground content, which is truly your greatest battle platform.

Don’t rush to max-level! Just take your time and enjoy exploring.
I think there is someone on the design team whose sole job is to slap butt-capes on to otherwise excellent looking armor.
@Devs… underwater combat is horrible, please don’t waste your time producing any more.
Just finished map-complete on another toon, at the most, I got 2, maybe 3 keys for the whole thing.
looks like another potentially good outfit I’ll never get because the female version has a buttcape…
But it’s ok, most of my characters are asura
Even on an Asura, butt-capes are obnoxious. They block the cute running and jumping animations, and you just look like a little blob.
Nah… different guilds serve different purposes – WvW, PvP, raid, etc…
Wait for a sale…
The main things you are missing out on is gliding, and auto-loot.
The HoT maps themselves are both hated and loved by players… you’ll have to make up your own mind on that.
I guess they are talking about stored proof of heroics earned by your main character. Otherwise 30 seconds would indeed be very fast.
Well earned by any character. I cant remember what’s needed, 200 proofs or whatever it is. I have 2000 of them currently (and have probably spent that number already on siege and crap). They are fairly easy to come by. So with scrolls, tomes and proofs you can get a character to 80 with full mastery without stepping a foot in HoT.
You cannot earn mastery points in WvW or PvP.
Just by spending your proof of heroics on:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Notarized_Scroll_of_Heroics
I understand that part but how are you getting those proofs so quickly? Running EotM?
No one is getting them “in 30 seconds”…. that person was exaggerating.
Bloodstone Fen was cool, Ember Bay was neat… This map? meh… I find myself procrastinating to go back and finish it.
Birds do not flap when they glide, they only flap their wings to gain/maintain altitude.
Locking off portions of a map behind $$$BL Keys$$$? That’s pretty kitten shady, to me.
Yup… still having issues.
I quit WoW nearly two years ago, and after finding GW2, have never felt the urge to go back to any game that is simply a gear-grind-treadmill.
No.
No.
No.
This dead horse has been beat to a pulp in many other threads, please let it rest in peace.
What kind of things would you like to see?
Outfits without butt-capes.
Flying mounts.
