yeah, those builds doesnt have any counter play, its not absolutely just you ^^
in my opinion mesmers having stealth is not the problem
i think the problem is, that mesmers can do dps while being stealthed, becouse of phantasms
if phantasm attacks would break mesmers stealth other classes would get a solid counter play and the mesmer would need to think, if he wants to dps enemy, or to play defensive in stealth
if you think, that mesmer coudnt stealth ever again, becouse of phantasms breaking mesmers stealth, than keep in mind, that phantasms have an attack speed/cd, in between those attacks mesmers would be able to stealth, its just, that mesmers would have need to start playing proper

i dont rly like hotjoin, i join it sometimes to do daily achievements quickly and to test some builds
the only problem which i have with mantras is, that mesmers can recharge them instantly after they used them, becouse the cd starts, when they are charged and not when they are used

if you want to have shoulders with your chars you will have to lvl them to rank15, becouse there arent lvl2 shoulders

a quick suggestion from me…..try to even out the fights on node
just look where your teammates and your opponents are, move, dont down/stomp one guy with 3, dont run alone into outnumbered fights, count numbers and scout respawn (guess where your opponents will push), reinforce and never cap a node with more than 1 guy
i played one ranked game with my ranger
prebuffed swiftnes with warhorn
coudnt change back to my greatsword
played the game with longbow and warhorn
would be nice, if we could be notified about such changes
(i personaly dont mind, that we cant prebuff and change weapons afterwards anymore)

when you get moaed click nr5 imidiatly, run away from mesmer, use dodge and nr2 to jump and dodge again if needed
after 10 secs turn around and defeat the mesmer*, youre welcome

are you sure, that whats rly “broken” isnt your gameplay? maybe get good at first? dont forget, that powerranger sucked pre patch
and if you are asking for nerfs, than deliver also suggestions
l2p….you cant expect to play in the same way as you used to play pre patch, becouse some things have changed, you need to adapt your gameplay
some hints from me:
-use reflect if possible and needed
-do not ignore the ranger as you used to do pre patch, instead pressure him in melee range
- improve your map awareness and use los
rangers arent the free loot bags anymore, the times are gone
and if you ask for nerfs (not that it is to early to ask for), how about some suggestions?

my opinion on this is,
that you cant ignore ranger anymore in the fights as before the patch
now you need to pressure the ranger(in melee range) fast enough, or you die,
or maybe consider to use reflect skills, which were almost unused pre patch

i would like to write about the parrot from the pirate runes and ranger pets
-the range in wich the pet followed the enemy was dicreased, becouse the pet kept the enemy in fight, while the ranger could reset himself…, but the parrot is fine?
-petdmg was dicreased, becouse the effort, wich the ranger needed to bring against an enemy was very low, becouse the pet dealt a lot of dmg/most dmg…, but the parrot is fine?
-ranger pets die rly fast, becouse they cant dodge, while the parrot has evade frames and the parrot seems to be as tanky as tanky ranger pets like drakes/bears, while dealing more dmg, than dps ranger pets like felines…seems legit
my suggestion to solve this piraterune problem would be to give ranger the parrot as pet by removing the other ranger pets
edit: and make every class a ranger…so you would even solve the sd thief and warrior healing signet and cele problem…..3 in 1

in my opinion ranger is to much pet reliant (not to mention, that ranger have skills with wich he can kill his pet…no other class in this game cripples itself with its classmechanic in the way the ranger does with himself)…, in pve it doesnt rly matter, if you are able to keep your pet alive and it is possible by swapping the pet, or getting it out of aoe with movement and f3 (but its sometimes rly annoying, if you compare the effort you have to bring with other classes efforts, becouse you have to look on two lifebars), but the pet will allways die against champions, if they use their aoe, onehit, cleave skills, or whatsoever (you could use a spider, its a range pet)
the problems start in pvp, if you want to play a ranger (power/condi), becouse it is very easy to kite the pet and the pet will not be able to land any hit, so if you even manage to keep it alive you will lose the pets dmg and deal less dmg, than other classes at the end (fortunately many of the players in pvp cant kite proper) and in wvw zergs the pet is nearly useless (unless you use a spider, its a range pet)
guess what, why so many players dont like rangers in pve grps, or wvw grps…, it is possible to play a ranger proper and your pet will prolly never die, if you manage it right, but at the end the pet is stil a disadvantage in my eyes, if i look on the possibilities the other classes have, becouse no other class is able lose an essential amount of their own dps…, just ranger, guild wars 2 official petclass

thief is also the only clas with its own special mobility no other clas has (most ports in gw2 and ports through obstacles)…..i would love to have some of the mobility skills with my ranger, that thief has

do you rly expect to cleanse everything, so condi dps classes are not able to bring you down?

-handle pets as buffers and ccers
i hope, that some more things will follow for the ranger from the cdi….changes need development time, i guess

by this change no thief ever will be able to spam, if chilled and non thieves would have a very strong counterplay against thieves

my suggestions, becouse i think, that stealth is to strong as it is at the moment:
for stealthed mesmers: if the phantasms/clones land a hit on the enemy the player gets revealed (exception block/invulnerability) (same on thieves shortbow nr4)
for mesmers: use decoy as stealth, not as an extra invisibilty, to avoid stealthstacking while revealed
for all stealthed players: granting revealed after a stealth to avoid stealthstacking and granting the enemy a opportunity to see and damage the player (exception: while in stealth stealthduration can be stacked upon 3 times)

im writing about power/crit based ranger (i think, that condibunker (bm, spirits, trapper) are in a realy good place compared to powerranger) based on my experience in spvp/wvw, especially with greatsword and longbow
in my opinion greatsword and longbow are to slow compared to shortbow, sword, or other classes weapons….everytime im playing my ranger with greatsword and longbow i have the feeling, that im trailing behind my enemys, or beating them very slowly, but just in comparison to other classes like thief (burst), mesmer (burst), ele (burst), warrior (burst), engi (burst), mm necro and off guard
even if high burst with greatsword is possible i need to land the hits proper, otherwise the fight lasts very long, becouse besides the burst the attacks are slow and even if its possible to hit very hard with the longbow from far behind, the weapon becomes very hard to handle, when the enemy is in melee range and all classes have skills, with wich they are in less than 1 second in melee range….so it is nearly impossible to gain range advantage, except the enemys arent noticing you (same problem with shortbow)
on other side a high amount of dmg output lies on the pet, wich is easy to outplay through porting and kiting (and easy to kill with a lot of aoes, even if a ranger have 2 pets, without the pet the dmg is missing), this means that this dmg amount is absent, no other class has such a disadvantage….and some utility skills can kill the pet by using them….and again, no other class has such a disadvantage
the powerranger is in a state were bullscharge/frenzy warriors were before the balance patches, and i think, that powerranger needs similar changes to become serious competitive
my suggestions would be to reduce the casttime on greatsword and longbow,
make all skills useable while moving,
increase the weapons dmg by decreasing the pets dmg,
utility skills shoudnt kill pet
im playing powerranger, becouse i enjoy to play ranger, especially with a greatsword, if i want to play serious im playing another build (bm, spirits), or i am changing the class

my opinion is, that proper played every class/build becomes very good, it depends allways on the player and players gameplay…it is just, that some builds are (ridiculous) easier to play than others, becouse of several classmechanics and gamemechanics (traits, utility skills, runes)
on the other hand all classes/builds are very limited to the gamemode, becouse qonquest/defend prefers specific gamemode builds….my guess is, that with new gamemodes the variability of classes/builds will grow (as seen in wvw, where other classes/builds are used than in spvp)
generally i would say, that every ai build and builds with many passive effects are very easy to play (but they dont need to be op)
in my opinion rune of lyssa is game-winning, becouse 3 classes can abuse the 6. rune effect, becouse of the low icd….if the 6. rune effect would be different(maybe, that all conditions, that are applied on the player are transformed into boons by using the elite), or unabuseable by increasing the icd to 120 sec, than warriors woudnt be as strong as some players may see them, than thieves woudnt train mesmers/eles/other powerspeccs to death, my guess
(i think, that every class has enough condiclear, if specced and no class should rely on runes for condiclear….this becames an extra utility, wich can be abused by warriors, thieves, necros, becouse of the low icd, this shoudnt be the case, not to mention the boon grant, even if its just for 5 to 6 secs)
and at least i want to write, that it is often just a l2p issue, even if the effort to play some classes/builds is much higher compared to other classes/builds

in my opinion main reason is hotjoin…everyone can join hotjoin anytime and also leave anytime and with the same attitude the ppl are playing tourneys….they just leave, when they want to leave….the second problem would be wrong gameplay wich is also learned in hotjoin…..zerging, ppl stacking on node, wrong roaming etc…..as long as hotjoin exists i predict that these problemes will also exist
