the truth is that I like the game and I want to keep playing but I don’t have an incentive to actually play…

i play because i like the game. the enjoyment i get out of in game activities is my incentive.

imo, ether renewal is only good if you spec 4 into earth for stability on earth attunement. otherwise it’s too easily interupted.
i prefer arcane brilliance as well though.

the trait options don’t make sense if you pick ones that don’t synergize with your playstyle.
a good build is one where you’ve picked exactly the traits that DO make sense for what you’re trying to accomplish.
that said, yes, there are some traits that don’t make sense for ANY build, and windborn daggers is one of those

you can get close to perma swiftness with elemental attunement + zephyr’s boon.
you can get 25% run speed from traveler’s runes or signet of air
lightning flash and fiery greatsword are gap closers/escapes.

regardless of whether or not a skilled player can counter a high stealth thief, the implementation of the stealth mechanic in this game is kittenED, and quite simply NOT FUN to fight against.
I can usually beat thieves if I try, but I usually don’t bother because it’s just tedious and not fun at all.

Seaweed salad ftw!
I think seaweed salad is still broken. We tested it about two months ago and it still wasn’t giving its bonus on numerous attacks while moving.
2 months ago would have been before the feature patch, which is when it was supposedly fixed.
can anyone confirm if it’s working or not?

not sure what server you play on, but with no stability and no invuln, that build would melt in literally 2 seconds in any real ZvZ fight.
i wish that were viable, i really do, cuz i love my ranger. but in WvW it’s the least wanted class for all the reasons stated earlier in this thread.

Is the double team on BG due to wanting the (lol) rewards or due to bad blood, history and spite? As far as I can tell it is the latter, changing the swiss system isn’t going to change anything.
definitely not for the rewards, maybe a bit of bad blood, yes, but mostly it’s the principle of winning the tournament despite the idiotic format.

the ferocity update changed the crit damage from 6% to 2.4%, but all the other stats got buffed from 30 to 36.

assuming you were able to hit something every second, you’d have to have an 85% crit chance (65% + 20% for fury) to get 6 stacks of might in 12 seconds with Sigil of Strength.
Since most WvW builds aren’t going to have 65% crit chance, Sigil of Battle is better IMO.

i run battle/energy for staff since i don’t run renewing stamina in my staff build.

on disable would be awesome, but that might be OP in wvw.
i’m using lightning rod in my current wvw staff build and dropping static field and unsteady ground on a zerg usually generates at least 3-4 interrupts.
Since there’s no aoe limit on those 2 skills, triggering on disable would hit A LOT more people.

in my case, the opposite is true. i never bothered to run a stacking weapon and switch it out before, but now that i can have 2 sigils on my staff, i will be able to get bloodlust stacks.

i, and i think many others, agree. this exact analysis has been posted before, probably more than once.
EotM could have been and still can be a testing ground for alternate scoring systems. hopefully Anet recognizes this….

I haven’t seen any mention of this specific issue so i’m posting it here.
In the current system, if we have runes/sigils on non-salvageable gear (bought with karma or wvw badges), we can still move that rune to a new piece of gear with a transmutation stone. How will this work with the wardrobe system?
Specifically, I have an exotic Invaders Dagger (bought with wvw badges) that has a Superior Sigil of Bloodlust on it. I want to move that sigil to my new ascended dagger, which I can currently do using a transmutation stone. I’m wondering if after the patch, that sigil would be stuck on that useless item.

I would love to see craftable gear with NO stats, but with 4 infusion slots (1 major infusion, 2 minor infusion, 1 agony/wvw/utility infusion) . And then add craftable infusions for each stat at each level (major minor), so we could mix and match our own setups.

I’m having the same problem. Frequent but seemingly random crashes in WvW. Sometimes I can go for hours with no crash, sometimes multiple crashes in quick succession. I usually repair GW2 and restart my computer after a crash.
Sometimes I get the GW2 “send error to Arenanet” window, sometimes I just get the Windows “GW2 has stopped working” window, and sometimes the game just freezes and I have to ctrl-alt-del and kill it in task manager. In the latter case, it always causes me to have an open mic in Teamspeak, even though it’s set to push-to-talk.
I’m also running windows 8.1 on an i7-2600k (not overclocked) with 8gb ram and an Nvidia GTX 460 (latest drivers).

it’s just the crit damage that will be lower though. all the other stats will go up after the patch. you also won’t be able to run bloodlust stacks unless you commit to that sigil. so yeah, the burst will definitely suffer.

agreed…but the issue now is that we will be forced to choose. if we want bloodlust stacks, we’ll have to commit to that, instead of just swapping out after we hit 25.
and with different on-swap sigils being viable, something like battle/hydromancy might be better than battle/bloodlust, or bloodlust/hydromancy, etc.
