Drawing powers from the dragons? I don’t ever see that happening, it makes NO sense. They are the enemy, and what then once they are all defeated?

No I don’t give a rats about the name “Paragon”. I want the spear back as a weapon however. Also for guardian a lot of their light offensive spells come down to summoned weapons. I would not want anything of that sort for a Paragon type class. As I said blessings or something similar could be like a constant buff, or perhaps similar to ranger’s summoned spirits. Perhaps something like an Aura, a continued glow if you will that could offer newer bonuses that current boons don’t offer. There are plenty of ideas that can be done here.

What I offered in my last post were very basic ideas of what could be done obviously, point being that Anet could very easily bring the class in and have it play differently than it did in GW1 as well as have it play differently to the current Warrior and Guardian classes. People just need to use their brains and imagination for more than 5 seconds and they could come up with something.

Having said all that, what other ideas have been suggested thus far for heavy classes? None that I recall. What other weapons could be brought in which could give a char a class flavour? Of course some could say a Dervish type class but imo that would be more a medium or light class.

Lastly where I mentioned Gods that too was straight off the top of my head. The other races DO have alternates that replace the Gods, as it is in the create the char process. Obviously the Blessing/whatever you want to call it would be tied into those races and their replacements that they have for their Gods.

To the people who keep supporting guardians using sigil of doom… what competent guardian would lose out on good sigils just to use poison to poorly counter healing from a profession

I was checking out possible sigils I could change my MH sword sigil to, and I was considering generosity for condi removal. I currently use force on my sword, and I don’t think I’ll miss the 5% damage increase too much if I was to switch to something else. If anyone has some experience with this sigil or any others that would offer some good utility please post!

Builds will rise and fall, but celestial gear will always be equally as bad no matter what your build. So the safest bet is to build a whole set of ascended celestial gear. Then no matter what happens to your build your gear will still be just as effective.

You’re being serious? Celestial gear is some of the best in the game for everything you can’t berserker-cheese and is extremely useful for a ton of specs. All around stat builds are nothing to sneeze at.

If you’re right Ezrael the heal is going to be off the hook! Building around meditations before wasn’t the right fit for me because I missed sustained healing, but this might be really awesome

The new meditation heal might be crazy… If it works with all meditation traits in valor, woo!

DPS guardians in pvp are already strong as they are, with recent fury buffs, they are even stronger. If their attacks are to be more accurate and hit more often, it will make them overpowered. They can already beat hambow warriors, any thief, necros, some mesmers, and stalemate with eles. You have to use your skills at the best opportune time because although they may feel sluggish, they are incredibly bursty.

yea, but with warrior like weapon skills, can use greatsword, hammer, etc. no stealth. also 10k base hp

It uses the healing slot. What I’m saying is that maybe there needs to be a way to remove conditions not attached to any of the current slots we have. Like maybe slots devoted just to cleansing conditions. It would cause other skills to become useful

Edit: The new utility slots could have skills that remove conditions in a way unique to the profession if ANet wanted there to be diversity

Hello everyone,

I was just looking at my utility skills, and thinking what I could mess around with. I play a Guardian, and I’m satisfied with my three shout skills. They work well in a lot of different situations, and I was thinking how lackluster it is to use certain skills because they lack condition removal. If I wanted to run three spirit weapons (who would do that outside of shield of the avenger) I wouldn’t have on demand condition removal from any utility skills. Bow of truth is a pulse. Maybe it’s time to have a standard way of condition removal that every profession gets

Yeah, I am getting quite bored… It’s like I love the game, but the stuff that’s offered is kind of boring right now. Released dungeons ought to stay in the game, not be temporary. I’m burned out of the 8 dungeons out. The only incentive is fun when you have the gear _… and I’ve been having fun with those same 8 dungeons since I ran my first dungeon

They look really unique! Not at all like the Hellfire stuff with a different color….not….at….all. Also really cool how the light, med, and heavy all look the same. That’s something that will definitely give everyone their own look, for sure. Who does not like green? NOBODY. Everyone loves green and Anet knows that, that’s why you cant dye them….because you love greeeeeen!

Assuming you are using WASD to move about then F is a nearby key to attach to all interactions to. Just as V is dodge and R is run.

Just some info for you guys unacknowledged about this type of build like I am:

I dueled a guardian waaay back that used a deep virtues build, and I kept wondering what gave him an edge over me. There are so many ways to gain long lasting retaliation it’s ridiculous. Players basically kill themselves. I know Stunningstyles used a deep virtues build, and there’s a lot of pros to it. Going to keep testing it out and seeing if it’s for me

I have a question about this trait set-up I’m testing out. It’s 0/0/30/10/30. All of my equipment/weapons are berserker. My main focus is dishing out damage, but I know how important it is to have good tools to use to survive. My normal build is 0/5/30/30/5, and I’m just exploring what else I could possibly do. I know the build I’m testing out offers lower damage, but I’m comparing the possibilities both have to offer. Does anyone have any input he or she could offer?

So I bought the warlock outfit in the gem store, and I absolutely love it! I love it so much I wish I could fight in it. Doesn’t anyone else out there feel like they want heavy armor that’s scarily good like the warlock set? I totally feel like the helm could be heavy armor – like made out of a thin metal or something. Open to suggestions/ideas. Let’s make this happen!

I’m glad there’s a new universal heal coming that cleanses conditions… Thank you ANet for finally adding in a good way to remove some conditions without having to spec heavily into a particular set-up
