Adding more flashy dagger skins would be sweet apart from : corrupted shards , winterskin dagger , forge dagger and arah one i dont find any of them appealing. The fused weps were awesome but only a few got lucky ’enuff.

This thread seems out of this world for a guy like me who only logs in for WvW on a daily basis , cant say I saw any of these traps since they were implemented am I being that lucky ?

Where do these people come back from ? Servers shutting down ? Is this a new joke ? The population is fluctuating like usual , people taking some time off , people comming back , others grinding 24/7.

Actually when the fused tickets dropped on us people were all the time on the forum posting the rates and most of them got them in a few tries the rest after 80-100. Cant say the same about the new skins/tickets.. People are kinda mute about it so far.

Probably the worst event yet , this crabtoss. Im amazed some people like it.. oh well carebearing all the way.. i guess

I really dont get how people are still surprised , this is still the best mmo product to DATE . The gem store could use some tweaks and maybe some RNG removed and then it would be the perfect game

What is there more to contribute to the topic ? There we’re alot of relevant posts about the RNG problem we are facing with these boxes. From what i’ve seen so far these skins are even more rare/harder to get then fused or people smarten up and stopped buying them alltogether?

Thief is in a good place now , stop talking kitten about the backstab should reveal you , there is almost no room for mistakes as is while playing a bs build. And when in doubt try to dodge ?

Fact is people still buy these kitten rng boxes and you would have thought they learned from the previous BLC magic boxes. These kind of additions should be boycotted not accepted. Now people complain that these kitten traps are underpowered ? When they are about to brake a class mechanic oh wait 2 ? including the mesmer ? What’s wrong with you people ? These kind of traps shouldnt have been added at all period.

After seeing a video with these kitten traps in action im not worried anymore. Four seconds deploy ? That’s a quick chain of cnd = ur dead while dropping it. Only issue will be thiefs vs thiefs carrying this. You can prep this inside your shadow refuge.. It’s gonna be very annoying man.. losing faith in this game

@Sebrent ok , yes I also play mesmer strictly in tpvp/spvp so really im not worried about traps affecting him. I mainly play thief 1k hrs in it been playing for way too long and yes im very mad because our class is being shut down patch after patch.

Sooner or later we will need to adapt to a build like Jumper X full on evade S/D thief heck why dont scrap stealth alltogether it wont be usefull anymore now that people will set traps for us.

So what if it’s just a skin with no stats ? It’s still new content atleast WoW had t2 items from arenas which no carebear mofo could achieve by spending hundreds of dollars. I got it from the mIRC days where I was an undernet admin. Im sure you missed those days as for the fluff items . Newsflash we play this game for fluff – cosmetic items. What is there left to do ?

This patch is the last straw for the thief community , I really hope you guys are ready to yell and claw this forum. For what it’s worth this game is ruined by each patch comming.

Well after logging out of the game and seeing the same model of tickets for weapon claim and BOXES. All I can say is this game is not worth it anymore , after the whole fused ticket fiasco and hundreds of complaints they go the same route ?

The items look cool but no glowing effect cmon guys you can do better then that !!

There are a TON of threads adressing the fused weapons issue . No straight answer yet is really dissapointing. My 2c they will bury this thread along the others. As soon as people stop investing in gems for these RNG kitten skins then you will see some changes until then…

A good experienced mesmer will never lose to anything 1v1. It’s the strongest prof in the game brah… cmon now.

Judging by your glory pvp rank , I would safely say that you are new to the game ( and thief class ) as this was in the game since beta.This is a feature not a bug

The build Bill is using is highly outdated , since the 4s revealed buff. Atleast duel him after the revert this heavy condi build relied heavily on that cnd flow. Im sick of seeing this perma stealth build it’s too much CHEESE.

D/D ele is the single most OP spec in the game so far , whoever is denying this needs a reality check and some game sense. It’s funny how thieves get nerfed every single patch and yet they still didnt adress this build Quite sad.

This is gonna happen it needs to happen. It’s merely a balance issue recap because us thieves never get buffed what-so-ever!

This revert needs to happen asap. Would be too good to revert it back to PvP also.

71 chests in , no ticket . Im done gambling. Rewarding luck over skill/time is one thing but making us empty our wallets in hopes of a token is just like playing the irl lottery. Add them on the gemstore market or as a reward for the final event. Stop doing this to us.

They really need to add atleast 1 ticket for completing this whole Flame & Frost scenario. After they introduced the ascendant gear this is probably the second BIG mistake they did allowing gambling without even saying a certain drop rate. Really dissapointed.

Because the recent 1 second change to reveal was a result of what happens in tpvp right? It was balanced for WvW…

WvW has nothing to do with what I was saying. This spec was used loong before it became “fotm” im gonna spell it for you “flavour of the month” for new thieves after the recent changes to reveal.

So calling this new spec OP or “WOW this spec is a KILLEr” means it shouldnt and just proves how clueless and way behind the WvW community really is about gameplay, mechanics , which was the main reason that our beloved thieves got nerfed yet again with the new reveal changes. I hope this made it clear for you.

Maybe they have a chance to gain some love back if they revert this change. We shall see..

Bums will always have trouble with thieves. It’s true of rogue classes in every game. Thief is definitely good in WvW but it’s nowhere near the best; certainly not to the extent that it needs nerfs.

My boyfriend calls me hardcore, because I’m active on the forums, collect every scrap of GW2 news and information I can find and our friends usually come to me first with questions about game mechanics or advice about classes.

But I only play about 10 hours a week. Tops. I don’t have the time or energy to play more than that. Legendaries are so far beyond me, I’m not even thinking about working for one, even though getting Bolt is awefully tempting.

I call us both casual. We do both have some “hardcore” elements – he in the amount he plays and the energy he puts into the community, and me because of my information gathering ticks. But sometimes when we do a dungeon run together and we happen to play with one of them speedrushers who gets anxious because the run isnt going fast enough, we are reminded that we are casual

In my opinion, casual players are the ones who don’t let the game become another job or addiction, and who are able to have fun regardless of rewards. Hardcores are people who use the game as a substitution for whatever it is they are missing in their real lives. And because of that, they throw themselves in the game with such a passion and fervor that they tend to burn out all the faster. They are the ones who cannot stand being “inferior” (however they define that) to anyone, even though the difference may be so small it doesnt really matter in the first place.

False on many levels , first of all GW2 is a casual MMO we need to set this straight first then we can continue , everyone should know this by now if they have even a small mmo history background.

Being a hardcore gamer usually means that set player / group of people play games for money , have sponsors , they live and breathe the games they play hence the notion “Play Hard , Go Pro” – MLG hint for ya’ll.

It’s a dying age for hardcore/pro gamers anyway since the community and the new generation wants everything served on a silver platter with no effort whatsoever you can call it “The Entitled Generation” if you will.

So the word “hardcore” shouldn’t be thrown out like that

@Master of Timespace yes everyone should know that , the problem is the ele is getting a special treatment as a “special” little pet class they are ( why not apply it in wvw too not just in spvp ? ). While thiefs get screwed everytime. It gets tiresome.

It’s not lol at people buying them. Some of us have enough gold where we can afford to buy these skins. I don’t wanna farm to get them so I bought them. Man it’s nice having extra gold.

50 baubles in about 3 hours. Got the skin I wanted, and had fun PLAYING THE GAME.

How can you get 50 Baubles in 3 hours ? It’s kinda impossible because i’ve only got like 4 and pretty much did everything inside. Anyone know the rate drops on those ? Per day ?

This is a really underwhelming event , not including all the weapons for each class ? Very dissapointing. No daggers , no pistols and quite a few more missing. Plan better next time.

I’ve been playing something similar in sPvP for a long time , it’s a strong – balanced build overall you can last for very long but it lacks SPIKE dmg . Backstab is still better.

The only good thing about this patch is the laurel pvp changes. Finally we get more people to play with. Was about time to bring pve into pvp

After they broke the aggro-stealth tables now we get +1 sec releaved , PvE how do you feel ?

People trying to /sarcasm does not help. Im gonna start betting that the next nerf will be mug in prolly 1 month no.. I take it back 2 months. I’ve been playing my thief main from the early beta’s , it’s a pain to receive such a treatment on a monthly basis. The only solution is to reroll since these nerfs will never stop.

Thought this was solo play all i’ve seen is mostly skirmishes with team-mates , you putting them down they comming for a stomp. This is what thief has been reduced too thanks anet.

Don’t fool yourself , it was a bit for every month , rewind back + add everything up = a class not worth playing anymore.
