Ancestral Grace placing you in combat was blatantly unintended. I should have a fix in for that to go out… hopefully sometime soon.
Was the massive knee-jerk nerf to Lingering Light also intended?
Could we get some reasoning behind it?
The only ‘fix’ it’s getting is a nerf once enough pvp’ers complain.
But I do agree with these bug changes.

I wouldn’t bother. Whatever you come up with, they’ll nerf as soon as somebody kills somebody else in pvp with it.

Aside from the nerfs, it’s working really well.

As others have said, we’ve been waiting 3 years.
What we were promised with HoT is not what was delivered.
And the nerfs just keep on coming.
Telling us to “just calm down” is only tossing gas on the fire at this point.
(And Irenio being either vague or AWOL isn’t helping.)
We just don’t want a repeat of the first 2 yrs of GW2 launch.
I’d say we’re already getting that.
Every time some scrub gets destroyed in pvp, they go running to the forums to scream about how whatever beat them should be nerfed.
And for whatever reason, the devs are LISTENING to that.

It’s funny. Druid was created as a healing / support spec, and subsequently nerfed out of being able to be a healing / support spec.
This…is why the zerker meta exists. Anet has no idea how to actually balance the game.

ANet is forcing me to adapt every couple of days with their panicky nerfs, might drop Druid spec altogether until things settle down a bit.
What’s next? nerfing Natural Stride to 25% speed? Remove the bleed from Ancient Seeds? Celestial Shadow no longer grants stealth?
Probably some variation of “All of The Above.”
I’m not sure they care about balance anymore. As soon as we have something useful, the nerf hammer comes down.

I’ve been using a variation on that & having a blast.
Just dropping by to vote again to reverse this change & give us back the smoke field as the smokescale’s F2.
Again, the swap made no sense. And it still makes no sense.
To all the people saying “you only need to put in a couple hours” you are wrong. if the event is guaranteed to succeed then it would be fine. But the ability for you to get part of your class mechanic is dependent on whether 100 other people also try as hard as you. What other people do should not effect obtaining part of your class mechanic. Imagine if there was a mesmer shatter skill, necro minion, tool belt skill, ect. that you could only get if 100 people completed an event chain together. I am in favor of challenges, but this is one thing that is out of the ranger’s hands that should not be.

And also, people are just farming the event chain there now & letting it fail.

Well, just experienced how annoying this gating is first hand. Doing the meta events to try and get E Wyvern and tiger only to realise just before the time ran out that my instance wasn’t trying to finish it they were just farming the exp. So it was a colossal waste of time. So gg, we’ve got to rely on people who couldn’t care less to actually do the event rather than farming it for the experience.
And that, in a nutshell, is why these pets need to be moved to more accessible locations.
This is especially unfair to rangers because no other class has to go out and collect their class mechanic, let alone have it be gated behind a two hour event that requires 100 people to coordinate.

Would it be too much to ask Irenio to “deliver” again by placing the electric wyvern & tiger pets so that they can be obtained without having to depend on a 2-3 hour world event chain?
