I aggree with you Turk with everything but saying it’s a gear grind. It’s too simple and too easy laughable to even be called a grind.

I’ve done over 150 fractals and haven’t gotten a ring yet. If you’re going to pretend that’s not a grind, i have no clue what your definition of “grind” is.

Are you sure you can even TP ascended gear? all the stuff ive seemed to be souldbound on aquire.

I can’t believe i don’t see a thread on this. Whenever i use the warrior’s “rush” skill on the greatsword, it seems to only work as intended half of the time. Many times, especially against large targets, i run up to the enemy…and just keep running in place without attacking. It super annoying since a lot of times it wastes valuable seconds in a boss fight and looks ridiculous.

Why would anyone go to Orr now when the only way to get your max-level gear is to endlessly grind one dungeon? The fractals ate up most of the 80s in the game like a Tyrian black hole.

Yeah, i immediately noticed this with the update. The thing is also closer into the body so it clips horribly through your shoulder

The thing is that by the time a casual player grinds out ONE ascended item, they very well may have some of the other ascended items released. It then becomes a matter of tediously treading water just to stay maxed out.

I was trying to find a group earlier and am really starting to see how ridiculously bad the gating mechanic is. You get:

lfg fractals, scale 5
lfg FoTM lvl 2
lfg FOtM level 20
lfg Frac scale 9
lfl FoTM level 15

in the chat window. All of these people just want to do the same dungeon and, for all we know, they’re all level 80s chars. But they won’t actually play together and will have to keep sitting their waiting for parties because the inane gating mechanic is arbitrarily blocking players from actually playing together.

The problem with ascended items is that people now feel they have to endlessly grind one thing just to get back to the exact place they comfortably sat (max stats) a week ago. I don’t think asking if max stat gear should be easy to get is even the right question. Just making multiple avenues for gaining ascended gear like crafting, gold, karma, etc, instead of indefinite FotM grinding would go a LONG way towards placating the pissed-off masses as opposed to just making it easier.

The event seemed pretty bad to me.

I can’t count the times when suddenly 90% of the zerg was dead, only to have massive culled enemies appear out of nowhere on top of everyone. The whole thing was like one long, drawn out root canal. I have a hard time believing the “majority” was pleased considering all the complaining i saw in the map chat and on these boards.

One thing i did notice is that my greatsaw now sits like 2 feet higher on my character’s back. I’m not sure if its an optical illusion but it looks smaller now too…

There should just be more options. Hip-huggers and navel-armor

Funny, my beef with female armor in this game is that other than t3 norn armor, none of the leggings are LOW enough. The game is filled to the brim with navel-high Urkel pants for women without anything that actually shows some hips. I think this may be considered as a concept mistake.

I swear since the new patch, my sword looks smaller (not a euphemism!). A-net, did you shrink my weapon??

But seriously, the horrible, horrible, unplayable lag in the mass combat events would have been enough to embarrass me if i had anyone i was trying to introduce the game to through the trial.

I spent a TON of money on keys trying to get the greatsaw and halloween and i learned my lesson. Not again Anet, not again.

I’d be happier is this wasn’t a “limited time only” thing. Its basically “get/spend your money as quick as you can if you want the new skins or you’ll miss out”.

In a dungeon where no one else is good at bleeds, having a condition damage build is nice. In a dungeon where other people are are dealing out decent bleed damage too, trying to chase higher crit damage may be a better bet.

Your 100% wrong if you are able to maintain 25 stacks of bleed this is far more important that crit damage. The best thing to do is contribute because there is better gear for condition damage other than rampager.

That’s the dps at 25 stacks with just rampage armor imagine with full condition power armor.
There is only one time where you shouldnt use conditions is world events.

I don’t see how you’re responding to what i actually wrote. If other party members are equipped for bleed damage and are laying them down up to the 25 stack cap, then you aren’t adding anything by spec’ing for that too. In a vacuum, 25 stacks of bleeds is great, but it doesn’t necessarily help against dungeon boss fights if multiple people have you can never break 25 stacks on one target.

One thing to keep in mind is where you plan to use this gear. The seraph path of Caudecus is hands down the worst dungeon path i’ve played i the whole game. I’ve never heard party swear so much trying to make our way through it.

The thing is if you just collected the skins and could transmute them with stones from your collection whenever without destroying the items, i guarantee you they would sell a metric ton more gems/stones. Right now, people often hold back on transmutation because they don’t want to destroy everything or lose a rare skin.

I’m in heavy armor wearing a tube top and a mini skirt currently. In fact, even 90% of the full-covering heavy armors have unrealistically delineated boob-structure (aka “pointy weapons stick directly into your heart” armor). High heels would fit in perfectly with the rest of the majorly unrealistic stuff.

I keep thinking it would be awesome if there were exotic dyes, more rare than the rare ones, that had a special finish or effect like a chrome appearance or slight glow. It would be nice really make some of the armor look genuinely metallic or have a subtle particle effect.

If male norns look like this, then it makes all the sense in the world that we at least get the OPTION for female norns to remotely look like the same race.

So males norns get the option to be superhumanly broad and hulky, but somehow we have to stick with society’s standards and a certain selection of what “real” human women look like for the norn females? Its just a lame double standard.

My big issue with the GS as a warrior is sometimes Rush doesn’t work, mostly against large bosses. You run at the target and … keep running without attacking. Its annoying when you never know if your Rush simply wont function properly on a given opponent.

Ironically, that monster hunter link shows a sword that is pretty much identical to the Godskull GS, not the zweihander, which is why a love that boney thing so kitten much.

Heavy armor desperately needs head pieces that show hair.

I always find it funny when people try to bring up whats “real” in games where you can play as a cat-person or 3-foot yoda loot-alike and shoot fire from your fingertips. XD

I was just saying this in the map chat. I got 4 dyes in one event and a ton of them just wandering around. Seems like an increase to me

I want to start an alt, but i remember how annoying it was not knowing if i had completed zone X or Y that i wasn’t currently in by simply looking at the world map. You shouldn’t have to travel all the way to a zone to clearly see what % of it you have completed.

Please add the ability to see how much of each zone you have completed without being in that zone!

I love my smoky Greatsaw to death. This game needs more oversized, gratuitously ostentatious greatswords.

My biggest issue with the heavy armor is that it looks great on males and charr but looks thoroughly underwhelming on the smaller, female models.

I have a norn female and remember seeing a norm male with an awesome looking pauldron. i was about to ask where he got it from until i realized that it was the exact same one i was wearing…only 8 times as large. I feel like a lot of the heavy armor is designed to look imposing and kitten, but this only comes across on the larger character models. I really want them to either make some the female heavies looks bigger and more imposing or fully go the direction they’ve gone with the light and medium armors and play up the sexy/feminine aspect (which, i admit, a few of the heavy sets do to a degree).

So either enhance the kittenness of the female heavy armor to compete with that of the males/charr or give us a full-on light/medium armor level of sexy.

And for them to have a special place for storage that doesn’t take up your precious inventory slots.

No, people have suggested it be a gem shop item but AFAIK, ANet hasn’t commented on character customisation yet.

Personally, I’d rather see vendors/NPCs in-game offer such a service for in exchange for in-game currency rather than real money.

I’ve seen a post on the another board where someone claimed they found the code for the items already in a previous patch. It has pictures of what they looked like the gem store.

I dont ever feel like wearing helmets simply because they always make my character look bald. I want more headgear of all 3 categories that show your full hairstyle.
