Anet, dont let the meat of this game fester and rot. FIX THIS or this game will slowly die like Conan and Warhammer before it, because they didn’t fix the meat either.
Suggestion: Balance better or have some sort of backdoor that stops the bottle-necking. This isnt fun, and coupled with player pop-in and invisible armies, this game is starting to lose its charm.
Sometimes when Im rezzing I need to get away. When I press dodge, I just sit there like an idiot rezzing away. Can we make dodge actually DODGE when I need it to?
And hope is lost..
Make finishing actually finish a player so they cannot be rezzed and have 30 seconds to choose a WP or be ported the closest one auto.
This is starting to make WvWvW really unfun to play anymore.

Whatever is happening, the system is poor. I want to WvW, not look around for loot bags. Its not why Im there. Badges should automatically be added as I take/defend points just like Karma works. The badge idea was bad in Wow, and its bad in GW2
How are badge drops decided exactly?
Ive been in dozens of large battles, Ive done millions of damage both melee, magic and siege and looted every bag I saw. I only have 22 badges. What gives? I’m starting to get really discouraged to WvW anymore.

This is becoming a huge detriment to the quality of gameplay in WvWvW and to a lesser but still troublesome degree in events and PvE combat.
I am hoping this will be fixed, as many of us find that the reason we came to this game (Massive combat) is seriously compromised by this.

While we understand the want for P2P trading, we feel that the Trading Post works well for accomplishing fair deals and keeping individual users protected from those with less-than-pure-intentions.
Again, while we know that the majority of players would use a P2P system within its intended design, creating they system may place the global economy at risk, as well as some players.

Everyone has a ton of speed abilities. We dont need mounts.
WvWvW should have near free repair costs. Your bound to die alot in it unless your server is just that good. But it discourages other servers from entering wvwvw when they are getting dominated and tossing silver away for repairs because they cant collect anything.
But this also means all money-drops get removed from WvW, and items dropped in WvW can no longer be vendored or salvaged, right?

Hey, genius, no repair bill from dieing in PvP/WvW and getting $ is no different from being out in the world doing PvE events and getting $ there. Except in PvP you will die a great deal more. Repair costs on PvP deaths has been a rookie mistake in all new MMOs and was always fixed. GW2 wont be any different if they want to promote WvW as much as possible in this game.

Changing personal story is extremely complicated.
Being able to change your race only after you finished your personal story is a way to do it, without messing with your story.
What do you base this off of? Youre own confusion?
It would be quite simple. You make a list of crap that you got from each race storyline. You then compair them and point to tradeoffs that would happen in the database. The only ‘hard’ part would be the hour or so it would take to decide what tradeoffs go where.
How exactly do you think the TP works? Its trading off numbers for other numbers. Its the same stuff to a database. This would be no more complex on the coding end than buying items.
Would be nice to have an option in the sound tab that says “Allow WvWvW Ready! Sound to Play In background?”
Oh by the way, add a sound that plays when WvWvW is ready..

This and we need a PoD system. Why they even made the mail system without a PoD feature is nuts. They only * expletive* mail most people are getting are from NPCs and gold farmers.
Not to mention that TP deliveries should come through the mail system along with a receipt of sale from items sold. I understand some people dont want 100 mails from that stuff, so the solution is it is all listed in one letter with accumulated sales gold instead of one item per letter. You open it and take your gold/items and thats that. Convenience and information thats far better than the current system.

TP is a browser, prolly why they don’t have the “Preview” option available on it.
Just alt-tab or get another monitor (gotta love dual monitors – I couldn’t live w/out em)
Just throw money at the problem or continue to be inconvenienced is not a solution. If anything Id use fullscreen window mode and set a browser window up set to always stay topmost.
I agree. Also cost needs to be 50% of what it is and achievements with rewards (like daily) need to have at least 10s reward, not 5s because it requires using WP unless you like running for an hour.
Problem
- Not enough foe variety in a zone forcing me to goto other zones. This costs me more than 5s as I need about three zones plus I need to WP back to my 80 zone. The reward is 5s plus a very tiny amount of experience. This might be nice for <80s but for us it is not something we go for, some days it just happens. Its not an achievement.
Suggestion
- Scale the rewards better. Give something special like a exp booster or MF booster (getting these will entice people into your TP hungering for more. Not everyone knows they exist) or a rare gem or 5 peices of some random mat for crafting. Be more creative! Scale the exp reward to 1/5th a level to make it worth even shooting for. Give 10s to offset WP costs so we actually end up with ~5s ahead.

You are whats wrong here.
Yes, I agree the spawns are much too static. There may be only 1-2 points they spawn from in a given area (sometimes people are split into two large groups if the spawn points are too far away). Spawns need to be 1. Smaller in number of foes 2. More spawns to even the number of overall foes out 3. HP Scale with people in the surrounding area.
I dont really like invulnerable mobs though, as I often waste an attack for nothing on them just trying to get a hit in. However thinking about it more, this wont be a problem if the darn things live long enough for a second try. So i do agree. lol

i actually love facing ranged with my guardian, i just pop my wall and watch them just shoot themselves. not to mention my other reflect abilites.
i would like the red warning circle to be thicker or brighter(possibly adjustably so) in some areas like norn when i have a torch in my offhand the ring can be very hard to see as it merges with the edge of the torchlight
I think the problem is the RWC need to never be overlapped by effects. It needs to be the top layer of everything and not effected by lighting.
Melee is the redheaded stepchild of this game in many ways.
- Did you want to see what was going on, let alone your own charactor while fighting a boss? Haha sorry, no.
- Did you want to see the red circles of doom to be able to dodge them? Haha no, die.
- Did you want to get smacked by the boss that youre unable to even see turn around?
- Did you want to chase after the boss you can barely even see just so you can maybe hit him? (Have fun running into that lava, this doesnt change at higher levels)
The list goes on. If you have not played melee you will not know our pain. This goes tripple for the Guardian class who have the poorest ranged options in the game currently.

The TP is actually a browser. So this could be done easily. It would destroy immersion, but so does alt-tabbing out, and I do that anyway to look up mats and funny enough, to use TP scrape websites to find current prices on items, becuse it is far far easier to use than the TP search right now.
Specifically the Coast. These events have turned away from the heart of the game witch is cooperation and turned into a mob tagging competition between players that just isnt fun and will only get worse as players get to 80 as this is one of the few 80 zones.
I suggest the following solutions
- Scale mob HP to the amount of people in the area. Scale NPC HP up to some point as well so we dont have 50 NPC bodies littering the floor when we try and loot (unless you want to put loot on its own keybind wink wink nudge nudge)
- Double the number of events going on across the map, especially down south. I do not mean ‘make them happen twice as often’ I mean make new events.
- Make a percentage of the tottal mobs you alot for a given event to spawn in rather… difficult spots. Say.. in the middle of the camp itself. Toss in some chaos. Make people run around trying to save the karma vendor from a gruesome death. SPICE THINGS UP A BIT.

No, they really shouldn’t. They already show up halfway across the map and thats already too far. All you need to do is to communicate, to talk to people; “Hey, any events going on?”, problem solved.
Also, protip, when a WP is contested, usually means an event is happening.
Alright this has a couple parts at least for me so far that I have found. One of them might be a balance issue in a small part, but I think it can still be improved.
Rooted While Keydown Doesnt Resume After Root
Problem:
Often, I am moving around, and I use some sort of skill, or get some sort of condition put on me. Thats fine. However, say Im strafing left while this happends. My finger is on the left strafe button, I use an ability/get conditioned, usually happeneds when Im rooted for a moment. When the root/ability that stopped me moving ends, my finger is still on the strafe button, however, my character will not move unless I repress the button. Now, this sounds like its not a big problem. Deal with it right? Try dealing with it over and over and over. It gets annoying and makes some situations where I need to get away fast very frustrating.
Suggestion:
Allow the game to see movement input and resume it the moment movement is available without me having to spam movement keys. Spamming keys is not a skill.
Resurrection Frustration
Problem:
When I see someone downed, I usually swoop in for the save if I think I will survive. More and more that ‘will I survive?’ has been doubtful on boss events. Not because I dont think I can dodge away, rez a bit more, dodge away, but because many times when I start a rez, and net to get the fork away quickly, my stupid character sits there continuing the rez before getting slaughtered. Its not a latency issue, she just doesn’t want to stop the rez until I start really pressing all movements keys and dodge ect, then she finally moves away. Usually this is much too late. I do not know if this is a bug or what, but I’d like to suggest that each player/NPC has a resurrection
Suggestion:
Allow freedom of movement when resurrecting. However, as soon as you move, the heal will stop. Dont make resurrection a chore especially in the places its needed most.
General Skill Self Roots
Problem:
Many skills I find Im rooting myself. This makes PvP less fun and makes it hard to chase many things down when I press the wrong button. Using the wrong attack should not be a punishment in the way it is with some skills. The cooldown itself on a waisted attack should be punishment enough on a misclick.
For example the Guardian skill Symbol of Wrath is a self root. Using it will not only stop my auto attack, but it is a small immoveable AoE that makes me very vulnerable while it does its little animation. This is completely useless for mobility fights, and I rather like greatswords so switching weapons does not fix this issues. Another example with Thief class: Pistol Whip. This is also a self root, and to make this worse it often completely misses and swings out into open space not letting me turn the attack onto my intended target.
Suggestion:
Now before telling me to L2Pnubbisquit, these examples are just two classes. Im an sure these things are happening with ALL classes and I think they all need addressing and balanced away from the sort of immovable inflexible attack to things more fluid, to let the person behind the player have more dynamic interaction and be able to correct themselves as they play instead of watch in annoyance for an animation to finish, helpless for the duration.

Oh no! What will we do if people are allowed to play how they want? It wouldent be forced so why would it matter to you? I guess youve never tried to WvWvW a seige weapon at an awkward angle and unable to fire correctly due to not being able to zoom out enough. We arnt talking about zooming out till we can see the whole battlefield. Just 2-3 clicks further so we can actually play the game in all situations.

You can zoom right out with the mouse wheel, and you can look at the sky.
The camera bounces a bit in a few cramped areas, that’s about the worst you can say about it.
What are people talking about here, it sounds like there are several topics being mixed up.
The mixup is with you..
- We want to zoom out a bit further, and zoom in further (to the point where you cannot see teh char anymore when zoomed in, so its like a FPS
- FOV needs to be 90, not 60 or at least configurable from 60 to 90.
Simple.
Gambling house would open them up to gambling laws as the in-game currency is tied to actual currency.

I didnt read all of it but Id like to add a suggestion for a wardrobe feature. Something special only for sets of armor/trinkets/weapons. Each set taking 1k Gems to unlock and the ability to take one set with you (in addition to the one you ware).
Add a feature to the char window to switch to your named wardrobe and book, youre in a differant set of gear with one click and you dont have to hunt it down in your bags every time. Even the special bags it can get confusing and annoying to hunt down and make sure all my damage gear is on instead of MF gear or support gear or tanking gear. etc.

Well even vendor price +1c nets a loss to the seller, so what you propose would only inflate that loss, while practical as a gold sink, people really shouldn’t sell vendor price + 1c on TP to begin with.
Its not upto you what the reasons behind why people would sell it for less than vendor cost. Not everyone has a pal merchant following them around 24/7. Time is money, and it takes time to take a WP to a merchant and then trek it out back where you were. And if youre 80 and take a WP youre out 1.5s ontop of this.
The feature does nothing good for anything and all arguements to keep it rely on policing the lazy into WP around, and at 80 that is very unfun and unprofitable.

I posted this in the reddit forums and got 90% BS from people about it. “Its fine” “It wont effect economy” “changing this wont help anything” and other crap.
How about this, let lazy people continue to be lazy at their own cost. Its perfectly reasonable to be out adventuring not wanting to WP to a vendor and instead TP your junk. EVEN FOR LESS THAN VENDOR PRICE. This safty net is unneeded, doesnt help them, doenst help the economy, doesnt help me or you or anyone else.
At the very most, put a warning and confirmation when you post something more than 10% lower than vendor/average item price. Give people a CHOICE do not force them.
Remove the disability and implement a confirmation instead. If someone wants to sell a exotic for 1c, let them. Do not police the economy this way.

This and allow keybinds to be different on different charactos. No idea how this got out of beta the way buttons and keybinds are. This is an MMO not a FPS
We need to be able to zoom out a bit further too. It is hard as hell to use some seige weapons in some angles even at full zoomout. I dont need to see the whole flippnzone just at least a couple notches further away.
This is not a good idea right now, as this is being overdone due to millions of people leveling. When a great deal less people are in a given zone, the way it currently is will work better.
