issues with Guarding are not there traps its that alot of their other skills are not so good. For example I wish they would make spirit weapons much better and work them over. Guarding has really for the most part no speed unless you kitten your self somewhere else. There are issues with most of the classes in this game but you list is mainly a list of stuff you cant beat so lets cry and shout nerf!

Dragonhunter players, side by side with the likes of Scrappers and Druids, have completely sapped the fun from this game. they have actively chosen to play something that is completely detrimental to the game and yet they come here and try to emptily defend their exploitation of imbalance and then act justified. it’s disgusting.
I have zero respect for these players and I’m not going to act differently.
Instead of you i am a multiclass, i played a lot guardian in the past (bunker dps hammer and burning) , but now , i prefer to play war or revenant (they are both more fun, useful for conquest and more strong than dragonhunter).
its just not as good as it could be. but its definitely fun to play already. we all know there needs to be more prestige in reaching legend and that only a handful should be able to and im sure anet is trying to figure this problem out as we speak.

so did they get lucky? yes they did. now imagine that player with 1k AP being angry at ANET in season 5 for not making him able to reach ruby again. just imagine that now ok??

youll have more fun and everything will be better if we just teamed up with friends and stuff.. but obviously thats hard at low tiers since everyone is so angry at each other cus they all inherently suck but dont want to admit it.idk how bad my turn in the mmr hell was.. but i was grinding my way through to ruby with quite a bit of effort. a little more so than my friends i was queing with at the time.
after i hit ruby, i started to have a lot of problems. i couldnt win at all with the friends i was playing with so just stopped that and played soloq instead. for 2 days straight i couldnt get more than 2 pips in tier 1 ruby. i just couldnt win at all. i lost a lot of games.. but i did win some.
after a lot of games id gotten some oppotunities to prove myself. i had won some outnumbered fights and whatnot.. a few games where we won even though the odds were against me and the other pugs. as matches were slowly starting to get more even.. i would have matches where the winner would usually only win by about 150 to 100 points or less. this is when i was really able to get back in the game.
because i was able to slightly carry the games.. i was able to win more often than not.
i mean obviously i should be able to do this since i was fighting with and against people way below my level. and then once i figured out exactly what to do against these kinda ppl at this level, i ended up spiralling my way all the way to diamond.mmr hell can happen to anyone but if youre selfproclaimed pro player.. you dont have an excuse to stay there.
so if i could get out of MMR hell.. you can too.

I reached legendary 2 season ago , only hoping to found good matches to play (i don’t car soo much about legendary back and stuff) and instead there was always the same kitten matches like 500-100 , ppl that don’t have any knowledge about rotations and stuff.
Ppl complain a lot , maybe even too much , but this league system works really bad , everyone can reach legendary and this is wrong (me too , i don’t think im good but i reached legendary pretty easy playing most of the time alone), they add legendary backpack in this league system in a very bad way , letting ppl farming achievement during a competitive league , this is totally wrong. this league is not made for put ppl in the right division and find for them balance matches , it’s all about play a lot and probably you will get legendary- i remembver 3 years agoo when we had leaderboard matchmaking was a bit better , not perfect , but better than now , there wasn’t soo many unbalance matches and another important things there was a soloq and a teamq.

anet has taken a number of steps that have helped push this meta in the right direction, however there are still some clear examples of mechanics that are just outright imbalanced and should be fixed. if you have something to add, please make sure to explain why in a constructive manner.
let me start with the obvious ones:
Beserker:
- Rousing Resilience – lack of ICD, the long duration of each proc (8s), the severity of the trait (1000 toughness, 2.5k heal), combined with warrior’s high-tier armor and access to stunbreaks makes any Beserker running this almost immune to death by power builds. Cleansing Ire does not counter condition specs like Rousing Resilience does power.
- Arc Divider – comes out way too fast given how hard it hits and how deceptively big the range is. at least Skull Grinder’s damage is spread out over time and is single target.
Dragonhunter:
- Symbols (S/F+Sc/Sh) – needs 10-15% damage nerfs.
- Purification – needs rework; make the initial heal and secondary both heal for 3.25k for a total of 7.5k. make the secondary heal only go off if it actually hits a player for damage, not just on activation. I cannot stress how ridiculous it this skill is, especially with Wings of Resolve/Renewed Focus and Monk’s Focus. the fact that it essentially makes DH essentially unbeatable on point is the main source of issue with this profession.
- Aegis access – needs reduction. DH already has a crazy amount of mitigation, and passively getting Aegis just for breathing every 2 seconds is just a spit in the face of players who have to actively expend resources to deal with it.
- Renewed Focus – I leave this for last because if Purification gets properly nerfed this more than likely wouldnt be necessary. increase the CD. this elite in combination with DH Virtues is more or less a full reset.
Scrapper:
- Acid Bomb – stow/swap weapon exploit prevents this from sending the user back, allowing the scrapper to freely maintain further on-point presence while getting the full benefits of the skill.
- Final Salvo – the pulse needs to be removed. these fields linger far too long. Conquest makes this trait too rewarding.
Druid:
- Bristleback/Smokescale – still doing way too much damage for their survivability. part of this problem comes from being able to swap pets whenever they’re in danger. Someone somehow manage to pressure Bristleback to 10% HP? just swap to Smokescale. this is horrible design.
- General – Too much healing across the board, but it’s not nearly as bad as most make it out to be. a 15% overall nerf like Beserker saw to Adrenal Healing might do.
Herald/Chronomancer/Reaper:
- Borderline in need of nerfs but I’m not so sure as to where, because they are relatively tame compared to the above professions.
I play Daredevil exclusively so I’m leaving that out because of bias, however I genuinely can’t think of anything on it that needs nerfing. Tempest was excluded for obvious reasons.

remove this specialization in spvp even if atm is the worst spvp class (with tempest).
OTHER CLASSES:
buff all the other classes that atm are totally kitten , in the world champion tournment we will probably have 4 dh 1 mesmer comp.

I’m not entirely following some of what you said, but I will say some things back to see if it helps:
Solo players each have a Glicko rating and a ladder position. Both are updated at the end of a match based on the results and values of the other team. The Glicko algorithm does not care about fair matches, it merely takes results of matches and updates ratings according the the outcome. As for Glicko vs Elo, they perform the exact same function for our purposes, but Glicko is more accurate.
Aside from this, we have our matchmaker. This is not part of the actual Glicko algorithm, but instead uses Glicko ratings along with ladder position and other metrics in a way that attempts to make fair matches. The way it does this can be seen on the wiki. While each team average is attempted to be balanced, we still don’t want the spread on each team to be large either.
The last part is the prediction. This is not actually part of matchmaking, but is part of our ladder formula. It is a very simplified approximation, meant for players to understand, that we use after the matchmaker has created a match with the most similar players it could find.
As for what changes would most improve leagues, you’ll have to wait for more info on that.

1) a game and a beta
2) players and betatester

If Anet makes it a legendary people complain about grind. If Anet makes it too easy to get people complain it’s common. If Anet puts it in the cash shop people complain they have to either spend cash or farm gold.

From today storm bow is on gemstore for 600 gems ( i just bought it with gold).
Storm bow was 1 of the most amazing bow in gw1 and it was a rare skin that can be only drop in uw, tomb, realm of torment and slaver’s exile.
I know that gemstore is pretty fair than other game and stuff , but why ruin the magic around 1 of the most beautiful gw1 skin with gemstore? storm bow in gw2 is good enough to be a legendary skin or a rare skin , but now he lost soo much potential… I mean why not create new skin for the gemstore , why use gw1 skin that can be use in different smart way…

Dragon Hunter can also dodge… So that is not an argument. The DH just has too much sustain, condi-clear, blocks and CCs for the spike damage it can unleash.
Elementalists may well dance around traps all they want but they don’t do half the damage of a Dragon Hunter while using 10 times as many skills.
oh yhea , we have god scrapper resssbot unkillable with a paladin amulet , we have ubercondispam from mesmer , we have war that is all about passive things that make him hard to kill , we have druid with his healing capacity op as kitten , but the problem is dh…. dat logic

Full story episodes have a long lead-time. But I don’t think LW content has to be all about the episodes. So… maybe.
This looks like a reference to the “Current Events” events we got leading up to LS3, including the Leyline and Bandit events. Having said that, MO also said that full story episodes have a long lead time, so it’s possible the Legendary team has been working on things that aren’t in this episode at all. We really don’t know.
I’m reserving my judgement about the new pacing until we’re further into LS3. This episode wasn’t super long, but I’m really enjoying what we got, quality-wise.
yhea , it’s true it was really fun to play the story and the new map (the narrative writers and the artist did a fantastic job) , but i think this patch was really important cos is the first new content patch since expa launch… and in the content size imo it was weak
Mike told us that legendary weapons was stopped for working more on content, ok i can understand.
1 week ago ls3 started , i completed story and ap in something like 4 hour ; i can say ls3 ep1 is similar to ls2 ep 1 (both have a new map and 1 hour and half of story) but the episode of the ls2 came out every 2-4 week with 2 big break (summer break and winter break), now we have 2 – 3 month break every episode (yes they add a new fractal , but is semi-recicle of old fractal with some new mechanics).
I think Arenanet can’t find a balance in their organizations… i don’t think that this patch added enough content (it’s since exp launch we don’t have new content except raids, i love raids btw) and instead added a lot of bugs (some are fixed now).
At the same time they have this policy about we can’t talk about nothing , when it’s ready , later this year , we are not ready to talk about this bla bla bla ; only cos this game doesn’t have a monthly fee doesn’t mean that ppl don’t need to know something about the scheduling and the future of the game (is pretty grey atm)
Soo in the end we lost new legendary weapons for a ls that is similar (in terms of content ) to the old ls but with more break, i don’t undestand why…. they don’t have enough ppl to keep fresh all the game mode? (pvp , wvwvw , open world , raid , dungeon/fractals) , they don’t want to spend more money and they are happy of the actual state of the game? or what?

living story 3 fist episode is really good , story/art/mechanics are awesome, but it’s a bit short… i mean , it’s long like a single episode of LS2 , but the episodes of the ls2 was realeased every 2 week (and sometimes there was a long break , like winter stuff or summer stuff) now is every 2-3 months… it’s a bit bad have a short story and long break between episode

the problems are… this events are not fun, they are completely boring , they don’t explain anything , they are totally useless , it’s only achievements that require to stay afk in map and every 20 minutes play for 2 minutes…
i wonder why spending resources to do this events…
Because there’s a limit to how many restrictive rules you can put on matching oddly numbered premades before it starts coming at the cost of high queue times or big discrepancies in player experience/skill level.
And considering how many bad premades there are out there, you really can’t put that much stock in them inherently being better. There is only a very, very, very small niche of players who effectively utilize team communication to make a team perform above that of a solo Q team and most of those players are in the pro leagues.
GW2 has a very high yolosoloqueue culture in PvP, so even players that are very mechanically skilled often have little experience with team coordination, even if they did happen to hop on TeamSpeak with someone else.
the sistem is still unfair , in this game having even only a small communication can have an huge impact in a match even if the full premade have less skill than the other duoq+pugs team. the solution is really simple , bring back solo and teamq. the queue time was fine 2-3 years ago even with less players
Because Anet secret Statistics showed them that a 5 man premade did not have a significant advantage of a 2,1,1,1 team.

there is another problem with eggs: sometimes if you try to dodge out of eggs aoe , you become stuck forever , you can’t get out of eggs even if you use special action or mates try to destroy eggs , even try to use emote like /sit or /dance doesn’t work….

I think it would be fair , change the story mode dungeon for be soloable , but the problem eduardo is simple: arenanet doesn’t care about dungeon , dungeon have a lot problem and bug that are the same in 3 years and they didn’t do nothing , they wasted all the potential of dungeon. Sometimes i try to do some paths , but you have to wait a lot for find a group and i saw ppl in the lfg wait even 30+ minutes for find ppl for the story paths….

it’s pointless , you killed dungeons , it’s very hard to find ppl to do that and there are still bugs after 3 years (like the crystal of subject alpha that stuck you for 10 second or a new thing that appear after the expansion: the hp bar of the final boss in AC p1-p3). No new paths after aetherpath , no rewards update for ascended things maybe mini pet or some fashion stuff , no balance soo now with the elitè specialization you melt the dungeon bosses…
but hey we still have swamp/jade maw daily farm….

But seriously–why don’t you wait and see what legendary journey and the new legendaries bring before deciding for sure how you feel about them?
I’m not on any of the teams working on them, so I can’t address the process. But I can tell you that the people on those teams are throwing a lot of experience, care, and time into their development.
i don’t think the problem is the quality of legendary journey , but the way of realease only 3 legendary weapons and then have to wait for the others instead of have all legendary weapon since hot launch and then decided on what legendary weapons collection spend time
I played 5 ranked queue games this morning. Two of them were with a friend and three were solo.
in 4 of the games, one team had multiple premades while the other team had 0. To make matters worse, so-called “esports” duo queues were getting an additional premade to be on their team.
I really don’t understand how the matchmaking system works. It’s so bad. How could there ever be situations in which TWO two-man premades are on one team, and the other team has 0? I get it if some kitteners are four-manning or five-manning, but this just makes 0 sense to me.
I love the combat in this game but every time I solo queue ranked I remember why it’s unbearable. I don’t want to 5-queue but the kittenty matchmaking system pushes me to think that’s the only way to enjoyably play.
And please, for the love of god, do not try to tell me it’s balanced because of how points are allocated after you win or lose based on whether you were favored to win. The ranking system is just as useless as the matchmaking system itself, but that’s another story. It’s hilarious how so many games from 5-10 years ago have wildly better matchmaking and ranking systems than this one.
I guess I’m back to WvW/GvG … At least I can rationalize the shortcomings of those game modes because of how little dev attention they get compared to PvP.
the matchmaking pre december SPVP patch (a disaster patch) was a lot better… but why not put a new beta crap mm , worst leaderboard ever , class stacking , bad daily after 2 year… well:

nobody care if after 2 year , the spvp players are used like betatester (or alphatester maybe) every day
…the great games I’ve had today. I’ve played exactly 3 games so far and all of them were fulfilled with so much learning experience. I’m astonished and want more. Please give me more games like this.
Despite my greatest efforts to avoid fire + air striking 2 million times per picosecond, we got destroyed both games. I guess it didn’t help one of our thieves left because he thought the comps were horrible. How could he even think that?!! But that’s okay, because it was so much fun and I’ve learnt so much! The matchmaking works so wonderfully, I think I’ll go play at least 100 games more today.

Some how I fee that Anet just wants it to go away. My only questions is what will they not just open up SAB, since so many liked it?
