It’s not worth it. The Golem is only available 2 weeks after you use it the first time. It’s a joke.
The golem is available as a soulbound item for 2 weeks on every new character your create, not just the one
as a newbie, I actually think the downed state mechanic is totally awesome, and pretty easy to understand. However there isn’t a tutorial about it (nor, come to think of it, do about 80% of the game’s features get explained without coming to a third party or pestering people in games)
I don’t see a reason for level restricting such a cool feature, but I do feel that new player tutorials need to be more extensive considering the vast amount of features in the game. If it wasn’t for friendly players taking all my nub questions, I’d be quite lost

I have to say, as a brand new player to GW2, the leveling is far slower than other players have implied. I’ve been playing 3 days now and my highest level is a 20. it is very slow going and is a little discouraging, especially as I have been told the best way to level is mind0numbingly boring hours of laps in Edge of the Mists
The item/pack/mask/etc you pick in character creation implies that it’s a key aspect of your character, or deeply important to them, but for the most part, all of these items will be very quickly discarded (especially equipment items like guardian humans get)
My suggestion is simple: Allow the character creation item/choice/etc to scale with character level and/or improve as the character progresses through their story.
It just seems like a pointless aspect of character creation to be given this choice that’s totally invalidated when you can buy better gear within 20 minutes of making your new character
If I find a pet on one ranger, can I use it on all rangers I make, or are they character based?
I would imagine they don’t want to reveal any early stage features in case they cause expectations, and then fail to deliver (ie, delays, scraped plans, etc) the less people know about long term plans, the less they expect, and the less things they have to become indignant about
selling dungeons? Might I ask how this works? In other games where you just pay people to complete the dungeon for you?
I’m 15 right now, and my personal story’s recommended level is, I believe, 23. How can I most efficiently (ie, best exp/time) level up? I have tried map completion, which someone suggested in game, but I don’t find the exp to be very high in terms of the time it takes for you to complete a map.
I’ve also not totally solidified my class choice right now. What is, in your opinion, the best class for solo leveling? I am currently using a Ranger, as I like having a pet available to me and it seems to make life easier but I don’t feel I kill things especially quickly (using shortbow main and sword/horn secondary)
In this day and age, wth engine advancements being what they are, free-flowing cloaks that mold to people’s shape without clipping shouldn’t be an issue.
City of Heroes managed it about 8 years ago

Guild Wars without… guild wars?
hmmm
I’m playing on NA Northern Shiverpeaks from the UK (for the sake of more English speakers), and my ping is perfectly fine o.o Perhaps your internet is unstable?
I only recently began playing (a few days ago!). Will I be able to experience “living story” content from before I joined the game (ie, season 1) or can I only access season 2 of the story?
If this is the case, have I missed out on any content at all? I don’t want to progress only to not have a clue what’s going on due to missing 2 years of content
This is the successor to Guild Wars, but there’s no guild bases. no guild capes?
D:
They’re called Ekku and Kertch saplings in non-human zones but any tree in a starter zone will give you the Green Wood Logs you’re looking for. The next step up, Soft Wood Logs, will be in the level 15-25 zones such as Kessex, where you will be looking for Gummo, Mimosa, or Snow Cherry saplings.
I see. How would I get to the other races’ starting zones, to be able to gather up more wood?
Trying to raise my huntsman level, but finding saplings seems to take an absolute age. is there a particular area where lots of them are, or where they spawn a lot?
How long d saplings take to respawn? I tried waiting around for them to no avail
…friendly, chatty guild to learn the ropes and adventure with
What the topic says. I’m on Northern Shiverpeaks, and I’ve just started the game (level 6 and 30 minutes of play time as of the time of posting) Would really like to join a chatty, social guild, as community and guilds are what make or break a game for me.
Hey guys and/or girls. I bought myself and my girlfriend GW2 to play together, and was wondering what features GW2 has for couples (for example, most games these days have a marriage/couples system).
I also was wondering if there’s any way to get the patcher to tell you an ETA on patch completion and data left to patch, rather than just speed and file numbers, which don’t really give you much to go on. Thanks guys
