i always wondered why armor, as bulky as some sets are, don’t weigh down players.
i would like to be able to apply bleeding on underwater foes, and watch as sharks come and chew them up, assisting in my kills.
also, i don’t see my elite (whirlpool) animation. my character simply disappears, and i cannot tell if i am doing damage (perception is a bit poor when i cannot see my character or the skill’s effects).
over the weekend, i ended up with 27 dyes, mostly blues except for 3 Rares.
it would be more immersive if they took out all of the land-based walls between zones, and made tyria a true map. when zoomed out in the world map, all i can see are the dark outlines of zones. i don’t know of many RL places that have such borders.
i don’t like the brown outlines of tall mountains to separate each zone. it should just be one continuous map to play in/on, to save on loading screens. these “mountain walls” also assist in immersion-loss, because if i am running from mobs, all i need to do it think, “if i can make it to the portal to the next zone, i am good”. if the walls weren’t there, it would make things more exciting.
all the games i play i am normally a male lead or character, with no custom options to change that (GTA, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin’s Creed). roleplaying games allow me to explore the “other side” safely, while being socially/physically male in RL. i guess if i did not play games, i would probably be “dressing up” in public, which doesn’t have the same affect as being female in a roleplaying game.
i liked Tomb Raider because it featured an opposite gender lead character. male dominance in games is unusual, and should be more “balanced”.
but you could build an RL life to your liking….
Divinity’s Reach. also, use all-chat (/say)
i would play a resurrect monk. with the amount of xp you get from ressing, i could get to 80 without combat!
i use mine as my magic find set. don’t wear it as much now, but i might spend gold again to re-buff it with proper runage.
i moved to stormbluff last night. i will be hanging around there for awhile.
My First Server Transfer was a success!!!
They should rename the zone to Melchior’s Leap, in honor of this story.
in-game weddings might be neat, but where would the couple live? this game needs affordable real estate they can craft or build for.
flaunt it like the beast you are for getting it!
boat travel to Ring of FIRE WOULD BE AWESOME
can get recipes and get cool weapon skins from cultural vendors?
i always delete my card and try again. usually that is the solution for me, otherwise i check the 3-digit card code on the back. if i type it in wrong, the transaction declines.
i just make a habit now of calling my support line and talking with them while i make my purchases. takes longer, but i can make a few purchases in a row this way without declines.
i wish they put legendaries in the chests. or allow me to forge a super chest, of some sort. i bought 10 keys once, and received ONE key back, and 54 tonics. the ONE key got me 3 more tonics, and an XP booster. that’s not cool or interesting, because of the 57 tonics, 20 owls, 2 hyleks, 10 rabbits, and the rest hyenas.
i m actually wishing for 125 gems = like 30 keys. or why not add keys to merchant vendors? or make keys like 50 karma each. add dungeon tokens in the mix, maybe even more money (i have not received money from chests, yet, so idk)

i lost the good feels when i found out i could buy up all the other skills. i treated it like a one-time trait list, where if you bought the wrong skill, it would have locked in when you closed the UI. i did not know i could buy up EVERY SKILL until i was lv72.
maybe they are all crafting to lv80 in starter zones, then running down to Orr.
i just made multiple armor sets
T3 = MF
Vigil = power / precision / dmg
Exotic = healing stacks for survivability
also, having multiple sets is helpful in dungeons, but since creating my MF set, i noticed a drop in rares and more blues that i cannot use.
i’d like to server transfer, but all the ones i want to go to are FULL… i am not going to stay up all night, possibly skipping RL work just to get my only character there. i hope they just lock ’em down, already.
i only play GW2 with 2 other people, and they switch servers every night, while i am stuck in my first and so far only server.
with the rebuilding project, at least now workers at LA can finally get rid of all the pallets of wood stacked around the hub…
my guess is that when the event ends, the game’s DAT file will be updated, and the game “back to normal” without incident.
i destroyed the ~400 i got over the weekend. i gave them to my guild friends but they sent them back, so i assumed they were worthless.

i would like a “If it flies, it dies” title for killing 1,000 flying creatures.
make every enemy in it drop one or two. then players will stick around to kill EVERYTHING for a full clear
also make it then so that players can’t leave the dungeon until the entire dungeon is devoid of enemies (like how vanquishing in GW1 worked).
ability to “bank” karma for the rest of my account. if one of my 3 characters is finished using theirs, i should be able to bank it for my other characters.
some of my in-game friends jumped from Henge of Denravi, and i could not get into their new server (dragonbane?) all weekend. they suggested waiting for the slow times, but never eluded what those were.
i got the backpack option because i did not want to ruin my armor.
I was able to see what guild hall i was in, since i guess i left some characters in the Hunter’s Isle hall when i left.
the Guild Wars 1 guild was The Remaining Sins [SOF]. i have no idea if they moved with them, or not.
i was in a Guild Wars 1 guild, but i do not remember the Guild name or Tag. i left the guild before coming to GW2, so i cannot check that information to post here.
i remember GW1 players by the names of Venom Kid and Press R For Res (they are still on my GW1 friends list, pictured). they offered me a spot in their guild when they went to GW2, but lost connection with them shortly after launch. they were very helpful and fun people to play alongside with, and since Henge of Denravi’s feeling pretty lonely now, i would like to reconnect. they taught me lots of things and encouraged me to try the different classes and have fun in PvP, even if i was not very good.
i am looking for these particular people and their guild, as i would like to reconnect with them and their new guild in-game for some more fun and lolz. they mentioned something about being on Jade Quarry, but i really don’t know what server they are on.
please help me find my lost friends and guild from the first games. i have no idea what they are playing as, or imagine what names they are using for their characters. my guild wars 1 names were:
This Monk Cant Heal
Take This Ritalin
Penelope Mayflower
Ded Smexy
Ele Phant Titus
Gidget The Ganker
jpop Necro Twosies
Miss Hammy Cheeks
if someone from the guild (or even the people i mentioned!) knows these character names, i hope to hear from you in-game. i am sorry i left abruptly for the 3-day headstart, and regret not reconnecting sooner. i hope there is a spot open for me and maybe some of my other new friends, and i hope we can all get along well!
I miss you guys! my character name is Elosina Mayflower if you want to add me first or find me. i will be waiting in Henge of Denravi as long as it takes. sniff
if in-game is not your preference, let me know in the forum !!! i look here often, and will watch this thread.

i still cannot outrun centaurs as an ele. combat speed stinks.
i like the Steam Dagger skin…if you look closely, the blades move
i back up the game’s DAT file every week onto an external drive. as long as i don’t lose it, installing it takes only a copy into the directory (several minutes). which reminds me: i need to do that tonight.
there was some kind of event at the fish fountain this morning, but did not see many people participating, so i left Lion’s Arch and went about my business.
listening to House of Pain makes the jumping puzzles way funner for me. any other in-game music kills the mood.
some of the renown hearts double as karma vendors. difficult to see the teeny karma triangle on the heart, sometimes.
How more than half of the map in Cursed Shore is being rendered useless.

i stay at Penitent Camp and Shelter because of the protection i get from NPCs and the “waiters” at the walls. i myself am a “waiter” on a regular basis at the tunnel (or inside). i used to be able to go afk in the bot circles, and be protected.
now that some of the bots are gone, and the difficulty of the mobs is now @ lv84, it’s a nice change of pace. i think the tunnel is the safest place in Cursed Shore, compared to the rest of the area.
that Winterknell Maze was crazy. i aggro’d through the wall a few times. Risen didn’t even see me pass by yet he came around at 2x speed to pull me away from the SP (the sword). Rotmouth respawned sometime after, and i was toast from the get-go.
i think they added spiders to the Penitent path tunnel. when one of the outposts fails, the tunnel gets infested with spiders, which means a new or fixed DE to “clear the spiders”. only new/fixed one i came across. the tunnel was empty last week.
levels for both DE’s there are now @ level 84 (enemies). definitely a funner change.
If Level scaling was gone would you feel motivated to visit lower level areas again?

i skipped a few bandit places and tucked away areas because i was not prepared or at level. now that i am level 80, i seem to have forgotten them all, and would possible like to go back and do those areas with a vengeance.
if it was gone i sure would.
i guess i gave up too early/easily. i heard dungeons now also give karma, but i think it is too late for me to want to go back and attempt them. i have only been through Catacombs, Cathedral, Manor and Sorrows. each time i go with people from the guild, i feel as if i am letting them down somehow, each time. one guild member even said “thanks for the group today, but man you guys suck at dungeons!”
i think that hit some kind of nerve with me on Sunday, because i really don’t want to delve into them ever again, even just for the karma/token combo. i guess i an not as prepared as i should be.
thanks to the apparent alienating player base. i know it was just ONE person since playing Guild Wars 2, but there are bound to be others like that in-game i just have not encountered yet. i will stick to mindlessly grinding/stockpiling, because it makes me happy. at least i can save money in repair costs.
i want a studio home made of Orichalcum. Orichalcum furniture, sinks, etc.
i learned that eating once a day is safe, as long as i do take ONE break to eat and to use the restroom. and sleep for at least 4 hours each night. Guild Wars 2 allows me to test my body’s limits of health and mind on a daily basis. chewing ice fools my brain into thinking i ate something (chewing on ice) and drank water (ice melted in mouth), thus prolonging my gaming experience/sessions.
i finally got the hang of Elemental “bursting” i think players call it. i did not know what this meant, but i think i am starting to learn how now. I learned that i enjoy farming/grinding for no reason every night for 3 hours, for no particular reason, and that people i know in RL cannot compare to the nice people in my guild. also realize how lonely the outside world is when NOT playing Guild Wars 2.
When i die, i want to be hooked up to the large MMO in the sky…
the token got me to go back to fort trinity, after i swore i would never set foot inside there again, so it worked.. good one, ANet. i wonder if i can save this token for next year…
i filled out the survey
the 12-orb scavenger’s puzzle in Malchor’s was not rewarding after 4 times through it all. blues i could not use, and a singe “weak” gem. each time.
you do get achievement points for doing them, but yes, once through is all you need. as stated earlier, terri-bad loot doesn’t do these justice.
i farm maybe 40 silver each day to cover traveling costs, and always making the last WP back to my farm spot when i leave for the night.
if i get close to using it up, i go back to my farming spot and farm some more before doing other things.
65 gold 56 Silver 41 Copper
I have T3, and Vigil armor for my Ele, and currently finishing up my exotic/god armor in Orr.
stat/armor wise, T3 is the lowest, vigil in the middle, then Exotics.
also note that there IS sales tax on these cards. Ordering 3 cards from amazon (25$/200 gems), and the tax to be collected is $6.57 (on 3 cards). so you get 75$ worth of gems (6,ooo), but paying 81$. since they are mailing you the cards, you still have to also wait the few days for them to ship.
i think they should just send the keys via amazon mail, or account mail. in-game gem shop is still a bit better than cards, it looks like. i still bought 3 for 81$ USD, so i am hoping i could buy more character slots and storage slots.
