Does it -have- to be bears? I like bears! Can I kill kittens instead?

I’ve already posted this once elsewhere, but I will post it again. Make the Page. Display all my stats, etc. Make it optional to display my gear for inspection. That way, those who wish to be inspected can and the haters can remain in darkness.

I want to change my hair style/color at will. I also want to change my main’s surname. I just filled something in when I created the char and now it does not match her personality at all.

I’ve ran low-level events at the wrong time or while I was stuck in overflow and been the only one there. Perhaps they could scale the spawns and boss level based on the number of people within the orange DE circle?

a) There is already a thread for this.
b) Why would you want to kick people? Unless your guild is crowded, you don’t gain anything by kicking someone, at least that I am aware of.

Please, please, please! Can we have sub-categories? Threads get buried to quickly, people are to lazy to search and consequently you can have 10+ threads saying or opposing the exact same thing.

I should have also added that because of the rapid churn, a good idea may be posted and never brought to light simply because the people reading it at the time did not agree or were haters. Sub-categories would help with this issue as well.

I write my own lyrics and ?sing? the songs in the game. It would be awesome if I or someone else could compose music to accompany me with . This would add a whole new layer to RP in this game.

I would, however, recommend an additional setting in the sound options so that people who do not wish to hear this type of music, or someone who doesn’t like a particular song, can avoid being annoyed. Plus a bindable hot-key for this option.

I was able to buy my starter armor from a vendor. I don’t recall where, but I believe it was just a normal vendor.

BattleNet has an authenticator which can be annoying at times, and I think it was even hacked once, but any extra security is better than no extra security.

And I want to be able to organize it and store my accessories and clothes outside of my inventory or bank space. Why should all of my chars have to suffer because one of them wants to be a fashion-plate saint?

I exit to the selection screen when I am afk. Why waste server resources when are not going to be there to use them? If you are in a dungeon, that is a different case, but you are talking about idly idling just for the sake of idling, you idle-pawed kitten!

I would like this. I would also like dialogs with more than one choice. Why even bother to pop up a dialog to ask me a question if my answer doesn’t matter?

I would love this! I am in several guilds and some websites have calendars that do not work correctly forcing me to search for some well-hidden post to find the event. Also, I hate time math and the in-game calendar could display events using my TZ to show when the event will happen.

I have to disagree. The screen is already too cluttered as it is during a big battle and your suggestion will simply get lost in the mix. If they are in your party, you can already monitor their health on the side of the screen. If they are not in your party, why care? Fight the fight and revive them if you survive.

ArenaNet is -way- ahead of the curve compared to say, Turbine. But I do not use twitless and I would like to see as much info in the launcher as possible, including advanced notice of upcoming maintenance. If I am about to play and I see that a 2 hour maintenance will occur in 2 hours, I will probably spend my in-game time differently than I would if there wasn’t going to be maintenance.

And what happens when it is a wipe? Would you make everyone start the dungeon over? Or reset the boss? Either option would make things difficult. A better solution might be to have a timer where you can only use a way point once every X minutes.

Also, the Trading Post is impersonal. It is fun to RP trading, haggle with the person and being able to know that you are not going to get kitten’d in the end would help this.

What if you -really- want to send a mail and are broke? COD? What if they don’t accept?

In DDO you do have to pay postage to send mail, but I do not know how the system works.

I would volunteer as well.

The whole contact page needs to be re-designed. I can only give a single string to a contact even though they can have 5+ chars for that account. ArenaNet frequently deletes this string.

I want groups, and I want a page for each char bound to an account for notes.

I also want a way to send a message to all or a select group of my friends.

Also, just because you can complete dungeon X in 2 hours doesn’t means everyone can.

What if 1/2 of my party DCs and takes forever to connect again? What if my best friend’s daughter just threw up in her shoes and she not only has to clean it up but determine why it happened and if it is serious?

‘Go here’ is too vague and people are lazy. Also, I post links to stories/songs I have written about my in-game experiences or links to help people. The people I give links to want the links. They do not want to be told, ‘Go find it yourself’ and I am not giving random links to random people.

I have accidentally left the wrong guild by mistake. And since I recruit for a guild, I know I am not the only one to have done so.

How about a 5 minute grace period, so if you accidentally leave the wrong guild, you can just get back in without having to track down an officer who’s name you can no longer see?

DDO has a level system for dungeons and while there may be arguments about level balancing for a particular dungeon, everyone loves the flexibility it affords.

There are like 5+ threads for this people! Please take this clue and use the search button!

I post links to people all the time, so that would be a major inconvenience to me and the people I post to.

I support this. I also think I should have the ability to display my gear if I choose to do so. Let those who feel there should be an inspect option allow themselves to be inspected and those who disagree can remain in darkness.

I, personally, have never had a problem with a trade. Perhaps I have been lucky or simply blessed for being so trustworthy. However, the world is full of people with ulterior motives, so this would be a good idea.

There are separate threads (multiple, in fact) for all of these ideas.

How about a recipe book that takes up 1 slot in the inventory so I don’t have to go to the crafting station to know what I need when I am in the field?

+1 already exists. I would like -1 as well. I would also like the reputation system so that good posters can be rewarded and trolls can gain notoriety.

I am used to RPing in MUDs, where I can log everything that transpires around me. I would like this feature available to me in GW2. Note that I am not asking for anything that does not already exist; there is no doubt that ArenaNet has to log everything that occurs within the game. They simply need to implement a mechanism for me to log everything in the chat window. I could even perform this odious task manually, if I were a glutton for pain.

I will give you 2 examples of why I want this:

1) I role play a lot. If anything noteworthy occurs, I turn it into a song or a story. While I allow myself a certain amount of leeway for a song, I try to be as accurate as possible for a story. This can be difficult if the story takes place over a couple of hours and many people are involved.

2) I get into a confrontation with someone in my guild (for example). The issue is escalated to a leader. Now, I have to rely on my recollections of the event, the recollection and veracity of the other party and the recollection of any witnesses, all of which may be deemed unreliable. If there is a log, there is no ambiguity.

Define ‘average’. I work 50+ hours a week, and have other things to do on a daily basis besides playing a game. A 1-2 hour completion time makes the daily achievement a no-go for me unless there is a serious reward attacked to it.

Prove that it will impact your experience. Prove it.

And you are absolutely wrong about them paying less attention. The way it is now, it is all or nothing, so if they are in fact in other guilds, they would be paying no attention to you.

I want a completely customizable UI. I want to move the kitten chat window where I want it and size it to my preference.

DDO has an excellent way of sorting and searching for items in the AH. I will try and remember to post a screen shot when I am at home.

Please also let me have a personal bio field with a link that can either be clicked to open the OS browser or at least be copied into the system clipboard buffer.

I RP and my -actual- char story has no resemblance to the limited in-game ‘Personal Story’. No kittens were harmed while forming this sentence.

+10! I spent 2 hours last night completing my ‘daily’ achievement because I couldn’t find enough kittens to gather. I can’t be wasting 2 hours every day killing and gathering kittens. Besides all that blood makes for a big cleaning bill.
