Are the laureals worth it? I saw that one can buy rings/earing/amulets (mainly) but it takes an insane amount for just one (whole, as in with the upgrade slot fileld) item.

How about post 80 for a player that plays casual and fragmented (often I am unable to play dungeons / fractals because of IRL ) ?

My main is a decently geared condition necro. Should I go Orr? / Should I use some MF food maybe(would rather not use MF gear because I`m not that tanky)?

My next goal is to buy bigger bags (still using 5×8 slot bags) and since I am unable to run fotm, I need to find other ways.

Does the loot scale? I usually find crap when killing random veterans(no better than normal)..

except the transmutation stones found in BL boxes (I have no keys) and the skins available in WvW for badges(latop → 10 fps in wvw), is there another way to change your appearance?

No, I intend to store the secondary armor sets because I have no room in the normal vault, and my bags are always 1/2 full; I have 8-10 slot bags.
I will make a guild and see how the guild vault looks like, thank you for the suggestion.

I would welcome the option to be refunded say 50-75% of the tokens for an armor/weapon piece.

I`m now back to the game after 4 months and I`d rather setup my toon differently. And since I`m not rich and my play time is still around 1-2 hours every 1-2 days, I don`t have tome to invest in farming dungeons / gold.

I wish I could store items in bags, and then put the bag in the bank.

Two questions regarding storage:

1.) If one has 2-3 level 80 toons, and each one has 2 sets of armors(say one is surv & one is dmg oriented). Is there a way to store them somewhere else than the person`s inventory? Since they are soulbound, If I store them in the normal vault, that will get be full very fast.

2.) I understand that refund(for the armors bought with dungeon tokens) is not an option. What should one do with a set of armor that is no longer needed?

what kind of gear do you use Sebrent? And what kind of PvW are you talking about? Does the GS work in dungeons?
additional question: it`s been 5-6 months since I played the ranger; do pets survive bosses in dungeons this days?

I`v been away for 4 months, came back 1 week ago. Eng was my main, I loved the play style. After the last patch I have given up on her, and I`m sorry I wasted the dungeon badges on gear for her. It just does not seam rewarding doing so little for the party.
Sure it`s cool to play the underdog, switch this and that and so on, but the dmg(tried power and cnd builds and gear) / healing output(if you spec support) is so low… I am talking about PvE and WvW, not PvP.

Anyway I will never play the kitten grenade build, I don`t like it and I think it.

I have reached lv 45 and I would love if you guys could suggest some viable alternatives, because, until now, I have:
- used axe/horn 90% of the time and it`s getting boring, the same swings etc
- used the bow as secondary, when I needed to dodge more or when I fought big guys; it`s dps seams to be about half of the one that axe puts out
- used GS just for movement, when running on the map. I do not enjoy it, it feel to static when I try to fight with it.

Would the 2h hammer be a viable leveling choice? if so, what kind of build? Or maybe something+ shield? Won`t using a shield give up too much offence?

Better go back to shouting LFG bla bla like it was done 10 years ago, or keep alt-tabbing and search on gw2lfg and watch how everyone is looking for a zerk warr or an experienced mesmer for ‘fast runs’. Pathetic.

sounds cool. I never played a warr except in the mist when I tried the weapons and skills. Will maybe start a warr this days, if I figure out a balance for the above build regarding power/cnd dmg priority.

do you guys think you can elaborate on the play style for this build? I know that the rifle main atk has a bleed attached, and the last time I played a warr (4-5 months ago) the long bow arrows did not impress me… were kinda slow and meh.

I`m back to GW2 after 3 months. I`d try a FT/EG build.
Any good news about this idea? I plan do run dungeons and WvW.
As far as I know FT was based on Power and for EG one needed Cond dmg / duration.

Any input / suggestion will be appreciated, thank you.

Oh and I`m looking for a friendly guild, that will do the above dungeons and w3, but I guess that`s in a different forum branch.

P/P will have some uses in dungeons where it’s just DPS them away (so you could use #3 skill) but there are other, often better options.

Hello, I`m returning to GW2 after a couple of months. I`v quit after the Karka event thingy. My main was a necro and my second toon an engineer.

I`d like to give gw2 another try, and I was thinking I would like to try a P/P thief. Checking Youtube I only found 2 videos, none very recent.

So I`ll bother you guys with a couple of questions:
- is P/P a decent PvE setup(don`t want to be a handicap for the party – I uderstant there are a new dungeon set-fractals)? If yes, what king of build/gear should one use? Power/crit?
- is P/P a decent enough WvWvW option?

I`m no elitist, and I don`t want to be top tier whatever. But I`d rather not start a thief and and find out that p/p is poo.

I tried LFG HoTW one time, because I kinda miss the dungeon, and after spamming that a few times, someone whispered me a link to an LFG site (I guess, to me, they should just add an LFG tool if that’s gonna be the case, anyway). I’m assuming most of the folks are on guild or voice chat.

downloading the game now, again. I have stopped about 4-5 months ago. Sad to hear they have not yet implemented an in-game LFG…

I woke up around 8 -9 my time, and once I logged on, on deso border we had huge enemy zerg and about 5-10 defenders. Huge as in 40-50 ppl, as far as I could see.

don`t get me wrong, if people are active at strange hours (imo) that`s fine.

well as anyone knows, every week against fr zerg of 50+ = no fun. even at 8am, they had 40+ or something, we had 5-10)
changing borders and such can last only for so long.

soon I`ll change server I guess, since the combination of huge zergs that no one can stop and prime time 40+minutes queue will get me too frustrated to go on.

we are underrepresented because we are OP and there is no fun in killing stuff to fast, so that`s why others pick professions that are UP.

well after today I`d say that the zerg with more Hammer warrs and guardians usually wins

During a wvw 50+ vs 50+, does it matter what profession you are?

I`ve read some posts and some people tend to say that the gear / skill set-up counts more than the profession. What would you guys say?

fr zergs will get bored again whehehehe

there will always be 5-10 ppl who will shout “ENG are solid in WvW! I can drop 2-3 on my own!” and so on.
I say they are pretty rare, and they are the exception.
