This discussion will too easily devolve into QQ over the retaliation nerf and distract from the core problem, which is how it processes on certain skills.
It should be clear that no one should argue here for retaliation be weakened so that it returns a piddling amount of damage. Yet everyone should recognize that retaliation processing has some balance issues with certain types of damage source skills. Whether the 33% reduction is a good or poor solution to balance is debatable.
Well phrased, imo. I’ve had my glass ele downed by meteor showering a zerg too, but I don’t find that to be a problem. It’s an acceptable risk/tradeoff to me because you’re dishing out much higher damage per retaliation proc than flamethrower.
I’d like to state that the amount of respect towards opponents and sportsmanship both in game and on the forums is quite refreshing after experiencing the past few weeks with DB. It’s almost reset time and we’re not 15 pages deep of trolling and I’m yet to see a zerg teabag or dance on the bodies of a handful of outmanned players during SEA time.

Nah, you got it all wrong. Most of the crap in the previous weeks was less about guilds and more about absurd nightcapping “discussion”. Nobody here has an overwhelming night presence, so I doubt it will be a problem. YB has been fairly inactive on the forums anyway and it seems like Kaineng is too, so meh. I’ll also maintain that we weren’t the ones doing most of the trolling in the last weeks, but that’s open to interpretation.
I’m curious as to why mags seems to only zerg through kain side during NA times? I’ve watched the map all day and none of Yaks has been decimated….yet repeatedly…our keep/garri….everything lol
My guess is the karma train goes where the karma train goes…I’ve seen most things from both borderlands flipped quite frequently.

Yea I was on my necro. I’ve only had it to 80 for a few weeks so I’m still learning it, can’t 1v1 well with it at all as it’s built for ~5v5. Next time I’ll be on my guardian which isn’t so narrowly specced.

To those who’ve doubted the organization and community of Kaineng. I hereby prove you wrong. We are ONE, we are UNITED, and we remain STRONG. We are loyal not only to our server, but also to our COMMANDER’S. We trust them to lead us to victory, their experience is valuable, their knowledge even more so. And that’s why when they jump off the wrong cliff WE ALL jump down the wrong cliff.
Maybe it’s a defeatist attitude, but if you’re really mostly back to T8 numbers then you should probably play as usual instead of working twice as hard, or you may burn out really fast when your X hour shifts don’t produce much fruit. We’d all like you to stay in T3 because the match started fairly balanced, but you shouldn’t try to stay in T3 if you don’t think you can sustain it with normal play time. IMO working on morale is more important than working overtime.
It would be really cool if people stopped comparing removing the AoE cap with changing reset times to something more reasonable like getting rid of skill lag
Worst WvW Patch ever. Rams are now useless. And every other form of siege as well, because you can’t block shots from mortars or trebuchets any more.
And the only way to win a siege is now if you have the higher position for your trebuchets, otherwise there ist now way to win. Only one Trebuchet for defense you don’t instantly see, because its behind a wall and all your catapults are completly useless.

If jumping is an exploit, sure. I will talk to the guild leader because they might care, but I sure don’t. If you find someone visiting your citadel to be annoying, then kill them and move on. Me, I like to dance with citadel visitors.

Also, there is some delusion (with an underhanded insult attached) that DB is pure like FA, in that, they don’t care about PPT. That’s also nonsense. T1 is all about PPT and DB’s renewed strength can be traced to its new imports.
I do not really care about your blathering, but giving all of DB’s current success credit to a few T1 guilds that transferred down is pretty much insulting to the rest of the server that got them to T2 in the first place. TG isn’t from T1 and in my opinion is still the best DB has to offer.

I don’t think you guys killed anyone in my party I was one of the staff eles that kept trying to sneak up to you and nuke you, but you guys were so clustered up that my meteor showers hardly did anything
I’ll throw in a voice for KN I suppose though I was planning to sit it out this week. KBL was a roller coaster this weekend. Every time we got it back and I’d rally the “ok now lets get it defended” I didn’t get through the sentence before everyone left the map again. PYRO zerg was counting on this happening as then you guys would come back and flip it all blue. Effective though, so good work guys. I was the frantic [Ai] necro doing everything I could to get yaks walked and camps kept.
Now that CO and MEOW are gone our showing will be more realistic for the rest of the week.
Your NA showing was still alright, took PPT lead for a little while at least. And you might still have the best night crew? So this could be a pretty even match, unless Meow was the last of the night crew.

being on the east coast, of course i liked the 7/8 pm est, but i am used to having resets/events take place from GW1 at Noon PST/3:00 PM EST. since a lot of the player base is from gw1, i think most players would be comfortable with a 3:00 PM EST / 12:00 Noon PST wvw reset timer.
We still won in the end, so going out those few times wasn’t that big of a deal.

That was fun (I can even see myself all red highlighty). Though the pictures seem to be missing a few between the first and the second where, despite someone saying in your chat “…I wouldn’t advise attacking them head on”, that is exactly what you did do.
We do what we want :P We still won in the end, so going out those few times wasn’t that big of a deal. We can handle larger groups, but there was too much open space around the tower.
Whatever, the PPT is the same but at least we can Alamo. Kaineng took forever to take our keep on YB even though they outnumbered us 4:1. Great fun in YB BL tonight
