It is either he’s roaming to look for us or… we always find him by accident.

That means his team is horribly out of position and hes trying (and evidently failing) to buy enough time so they can get to him. Which means that Maguuma team chat at the precise moment you took those screenshots is chock full of “bonyisms” – grossly disparaging (and hilarious) truisms about the sheer incompetence of all the people who don’t have super human Australian DNA. Mag will be back in T3 soon. Couple of my friends already transferred off the server because they hate T3 so much, and considering the Mag fairweathers make it so I can’t even enjoy T4 on the rare times we are here, I’m starting to think they did the right thing. Sorry to hear that. Honestly, I really enjoy t3. Either way, though, I try to play every week, regardless of tier.

Maybe roamers will have a new role as scouts/counter scouts since the changes to map swords.

There’s a chance T3 will be different when Mag returns if SoS is truly imploding. If it all works out, Mag might be having constant battles against DB and YB instead of DB and FA.

P.S. I heard a rumor mag is a zerg server!

But I am disappointed that it’s not as coordinated as well as it can be. Do you know how much siege was placed inside there? Lord’s room was capped, a cata or two at every inner gate, 2-3 arrow carts at the walls, and even burning oil was built. I think someone even donated for cannons. We got it all set up and prepared for NA to defend, at least up to the inner wall. Even two trebs! That’s plenty to hold off a zerg.

I kind of equate blame and disappointment in this case :P Either way, I don’t really think the problem was coordination (caveat: I wasn’t there). All of that siege is nice, but it will go away over time in a protracted defense. Holding SM is not easy when you don’t have the numbers to play the game, because you have to dedicate a larger percentage of your forces to defense, leaving all of your other territory open to attack. Without supply getting in, it’s just a matter of time before it falls. Just my two cents, anyway!

I think after they lost some of their guilds, the ones that stayed made an extra effort to get more people into WvW. Just my guess, since it sounds like FTF swelled in numbers a lot, as well.

I’ve been attacked with dragon’s tooth before behind walls. I thought it was zoom hacks but someone told me it’s pretty common for it to happen for some reason that I forgot. I don’t know what skill “constant mesmer spam” is but yeah. Blame hacks I guess!

I dunno dude, if this is the first major TS troll you’ve had I would count you as lucky. Like I said before, we’ve had one troll come back repeatedly several months ago posting absolutely disgusting pictures in our Mumble, but we didn’t pin it on any particular server. We still have gordzilla coming back when he gets a new IP who likes to do music spam and call me mean names for banning him. Heck, we have people on our own server that like to troll on our Mumble. I think you should let it go and move on, because I doubt there’s actual evidence that it’s us. But do whatever you wish.

By the way, I will be repping Spy Hards if I see GH in the field so you can all hunt me down and stab me in the face because I am bad at this game and squishy as hell, so enjoy!

Ignore the WvW scores and go where the fun is. You guys do a much better job of defending than we could with our morale in T3. Half of last week our borderlands was gone (along with everyone in it) by the time I got home and there wasn’t much to do. I guess if it reaches that point for you then I can understand wanting something new, because I kind of did.

We give our all. I can’t possibly sum it up more eloquently than that. Call me stupid, but I’ll run headlong into a horde of 4 or more attacking a camp, if by that my frantic kiting and eventual, nay at that point inevitable, demise will stall the enemy long enough for the rest of our folks to respond. Staying in the cap circle, staying alive, and staying the rise of that cap bar JUST long enough to hold until the cavalry arrives. That’s Ebay. If a single death on the field, one badge or two lost, holds that +5 up there in our favor once that clock runs out… I’m rambling now.

The only time I’ve ever seen us truly down was during our last encounter with Kaineng, and only then because Devona’s seemed of little relief and they owned the map in its entirety almost 24/7. Even then we pulled fast moving groups together for drive-by caps, despite that we knew they’d be gone again in the time it took their zerg to meander along. Zergs are all encompassing generally, but not always fast moving.

Running into camps to keep the circle up isn’t stupid, we (used to?) do that kind of thing all of the time. Oozo from DR (I think) complimented us for that kind of stuff. But yeah, Kaineng was a downer for everyone because they just had massive zergs that weren’t even that good. But more importantly (at least for us), fighting at T3 is mostly just by attrition, so it gets tiring very, very quickly.

Very very few people actually tried to “torpedo” the T3 matchup. It was mostly morale issues. If the fairweather players we had didn’t come out of the woods for this match, it would be much, much more even, because we were back to our T4 population or even less. We just weren’t sure if they had transferred or were really just fairweather. Turns out it was the latter.

Excited to change things up, really want to finish up my Explorer title not gunna happen with FA Let’s keep it civil folks and see some great fights.

My predictions for the forums this week…

Friday : Everyone starts out being polite and sharing how fun it will be for some different competition
Saturday : “something about great fights with that one guy from that other server and I had a lot of fun stomping you over and over”
Sunday : Threads quiet, everyone running dungeons for a day
Monday : OG has now established their dominance on the forums as the best small guild EVER, constantly reminding any posters from other servers that they’re willing to fight below SS camp. Members of EB and CD begin to post videos where they claim “Bunzy ran away” from a fight… Bunzy denies.
Tuesday : “something about any party larger than 6 people is a zerg”
Wednesday : ParaldaRebel Daughter tries to calm everyone down but it doesn’t work and thread get’s locked.
Thursday : Every time someone loses a fight it’s because Shadow Refuge still screws with culling and they were zerged. Argument ensue, ParaldaRebel Daughter tries again to calm everyone down, doesn’t work, second thread get’s locked.
Friday : Everyone is bored with the matchup and looking forward to reset. A handful of congratulations are given out and a few more people claiming “Bunzy ran away” … Bunzy again extends offers for “fair fights” below SS camp after reset… no one agrees.

I think that pretty much sums up every Mag thread over the past month, so I’m guessing we’ll see similar.

I would be happy if FA went to tier 2 but I am afraid we are stuck with them for a while. But even if they move up and TC moved down to join us it will be pretty much the same deal. Same goes for you guys, if you move down to tier 4 you will dominate and the match will get stale. Both DB and Mag are in a pretty crappy spot. Overpowered servers above us and underpowered below.

What was the aim of all the people Mag picked up then?

There were only two guilds we actually liked and wanted: SM and WaR (sorry if I’m forgetting someone here). Everyone else came purely of their own accord, and that’s where the huge population swell came from. That anti-recruiting thread was not a joke. Many of us didn’t want to move up. You are right that we can’t “kick it” in T3 with our numbers, but to say that we really really wanted to make it here is just not right. Unless some sneaky jerks were recruiting a lot without us knowing!
