But I think calling these guys out as no skill as individual players is so missing the point. They don’t function as individual players they are a part of a sum, of a machine, its all in the name. They DPS as a unit, defend as a unit, fight as a unit.
Anyone who plays a more support oriented character can understand this quite easily, even if not taking to the same level of extreme. Can’t say I would enjoy being a cog 24/7, but can still appreciate the efficiency achievable with such a model.
I don’t know, I heard so much hype around WM about how awesome they are, but I think it was just way too much hype. Sure, they move together well as a unit, and if you get caught in their culling lawnmower of death you’re probably screwed, but they’re not so invincible that another skilled group can’t take them down. They are part of a sum, but if they fight a larger, more skilled group, then their sum will be less than the other sum… :P
It’s just kind of weird and sad that the WM of GW2 is so different than the WM of GW1. At least from my perspective. I’m curious to see how well they fare against the more organized groups in the upper tiers. We don’t really have m/any guilds that large and coordinated.
OMG… just lock out all threads from this match up and give mag’s a trophy. Someone, anyone … seriously. It’s there thing, the got it all on ‘co-ordinated’ lock down and any one who voices data or facts will just be brushed off. As expected.
With so many ‘how bad ’x’ is or ‘y’ is … you would think I would be able to find a ‘real’ suggestion… or something across a few hundred posts. Nothing, not a darn cookie … just more of the same which we got locked for before, and I believe might be able to get ‘3’ threads locked. It’s gotta be a forum record of sorts, so give a trophy where a trophy is due … I had hoped the conversations could have flipped … a touch. Slightly? Maybe? I guess that makes 3 servers who can all be unimpressed. Friday cannot come sooner.
Here is a real suggestion: if we camp your SW supply, you better learn how to handle that situation better. Two nights ago we set up trebs to get you to come out and fight and it took you two hours to get the camp back, even with your numbers. Yes, you took down our trebs several times, but we weren’t actually trying to take the keep. Call it an excuse if you want, but if you ever get Fort Aspenwood on your west spawn, you will know what a server actually looks like when they want your west keep. They’ll have at least twice as many people as we did and you may enjoy an 8 hour long treb game with swhurrrling elementalists.
And also the day before that we camped your NW tower and you guys tried to build trebs four or five times in really strange places (at least half were in the cata spot range) and they all got wrecked. Then you brought in three golems and knocked down the gate and still didn’t take the tower because you rushed for the lord instead of the superior siege we had on the walls. So uh, pro tip, don’t do that.
You need to improve your open field combat instead of just bringing more and more numbers until you accomplish things. That’s my opinion, anyway. And I’m not talking about random guilds.
People saying nice things about us is weird. I dunno if I like that either.
We are a pretty small guild in terms of total numbers, but we’re all pretty active in WvW (except for the half of the guild that turned into PvE carebears recently). Compared to some FA guilds we are definitely small in every manner. And yup, we do love our mesmers Thanks for the compliments! o/
Stacking a higher tier server is no different than stacking a lower tier server. In fact, it’s worse, because you create an awful experience for almost every server along the way up.
Last I heard it was 500 total per map, which is a lot more than 66 per team. It could have changed since then, but I’d be surprised if it was that low now.
The match is pretty much over in terms of who’s going to win, and the person was saying if he pulled 5 RE to do a 5v5 then Kaineng BL would fall. He did eventually duel one of our mesmers, so there’s that, I guess. I don’t really see a point in waiting until Thursday especially since I’m pretty sure RE’s scheduled time interferes with several of our schedules, but whatever.

If you want to go do duels, go do duels. We just have a sanctioned one by our guild on Thursday and that is when most of us will be participating.

We are still young and have alot to learn… And we are learning, and we have learned a lot in this week’s match-up. Instead of fighting us on the forums, fight us in the battlegrounds. It’s near impossible to deal with an unguilded hacker, which I think is what most of the reports on DB were.
It’s actually rather easy to deal with unguilded hackers. It’s not you job, so don’t assume you have any sort of input in any of it. All data is within Anet’s 4 walls, anything we provide in the form of pic, video and such is just that. Not the data they use.
Guilded tags are a ‘nice offering’ from one server to another officer, so they can kick them
You aren’t disagreeing with me…I meant it is nearly impossible for us to deal with unguilded hackers, so stop posting about them on the forums (not you specifically, obviously, but it seems my words are not very clear to you). Report them and move on, and get over the fact that some servers have cheaters and not everyone asked for them. Some people on Kaineng have been extremely bad sports about it, posting about it in more than one matchup thread and even making a thread dedicated to it. Saying “ermegerd look at this screenshot of 2 unguilded DB hackers” doesn’t help anyone except the person who is venting and they just need to find a more mature way of dealing with it.
Even posting screenshots with guild tags is wrong. It’s against the rules and rude, and always unnecessarily tarnishes the name of a guild that probably doesn’t actually condone this activity (real shocker!!). It’s better to find someone from that guild and PM screenshots instead of being rude about it on the forums.
Lots of fun in Kaineng BL tonight farming badges camping the SW camp I think we held it for two hours against many waves of invaders with the outmanned buff up most of the time. I think I was downed twice and died once, well done! You finally took the camp for the second time after we started going to sleep.
It was nice of Dragonbrand to cheer us on as we took their SW tower…what happened next was not so nice though (it’s not clear from this screenshot but a bunch more of them rushed in and started attacking ;_;):

They were unguilded, but I managed to report all 4 or 5 players I saw since they were in and out of the same towers over and over again. I would think report is a good way to track people down, heh.
Anyways… good match so far DB and Mag. It’s been fun besides the annoying bunch of cheaters tonight. Really, good fights have been had.
What I mean is, reporting them and moving on should be all that’s necessary. Absolutely no need to post on the forums because it is extremely difficult for people to report them after the fact.
What time does kitten play? There’s seems to be a lot of posts from kitten but not many from guilds like AoN. I stayed up, saw AoN and I was impressed, but I haven’t seen kitten yet. I’d rather not rely on gossip and rumors, hence why I’d prefer seeing them in action myself.
Can’t tell if avid cat fan or talking about us, but we are primarily NA and not at all like AoN because we do whatever we want
Well, no surprise. Kaineng is winning because they have more numbers and better coverage. Maguuma’s core is far superior to your average player. Dragonbrand was overtaken by your oceanics it seems. You must have a MUCH larger oceanic presence than DB as well. You’re winning because you have tier 1 population and coverage in tier 3. That is all.

DB doesn’t outnumber kain at any point in time. Our strength was our night time, and yours is twice as populated. We struggle to barely hold in eternal while you have enough men to take all of Mag’s BL. I cannot fathom how anyone could be proud of kaineng. You stacked a lower tier server who did a good job advertising themselves and now you get to stomp for weeks. Grats.
I hope next week is DB/Mag/some other evenly matched server, but since they’re resetting the scores I doubt it’s going to happen.
I think eventually DB and Mag will be T3 with some other server. We will have the best score updates ever.

I have to ask, why would a large maguuma zerg 30+ attack the north gate of hills in Kain bl. When they own nothing on the whole map, not a camp or tower. They know we were watching since they fought our camp first. What was the strategy, what was the plan or did you just decide Hey, They have not lost that all weekend why not give it a shot? I do not ask sarcastically i genuinely wish to know why would you do that?

Sadly, our NA is our weak point in regards to numbers, so I really can’t expect too much out of defense during the day time, since we haven’t been put up against a good amount of numbers like Mag can throw out. However, we’re not doing terribly bad against two servers in our BL at once. I’d appreciate everyone getting along and not throwing veiled insults at our coverage/skill.

Our excuses are more plausible than yours, given that we never saw outmanned buff on you guys and we had it on at least two maps at midnight Pacific…which never happens. Not that I actually care, but it’s kind of sad that RE has so many angry people in it now!
