Only Kaineng I saw out doing 5man was WM and some people from Team OP (or something like that). It’s hard to run across them due to the overall population of Kaineng though.

Dunno, I’m pretty sure that Mag and DB have the population to bust up the Kaineng PUG zergs. Small groups will have to contend with at least 3-4 (they’ve probably added more recently) guilds that run 20-30 man organized stacked roaming groups though. And, they move just as fast as you do.

He’s a small group roamer though, so I don’t think that helps.

Yeah, I know. Still though, it’s good for a small group if the main Mag/DB forces can contest Kaineng enough to split up some of their forces. It opens up enough space for small groups to manuever. The big problem is when you are the only small group on the map with everyone gunning for you.

The organized guilds are going to be a problem. I’m thinking that Mag will beat the rank and file Kaineng rather easily though.

I dunno, we dealt with FA’s large organized groups fairly well after the first day or two, I think. I haven’t been able to play for most of this match, but that’s the general consensus I’m getting from my guild. I think WM will obviously be quite a challenge because they play for serious business, but I don’t think they even play at the same time we do in normal circumstances. All of that talent is almost a waste if they’ll just be fighting our doors (exaggerating, obviously). Whether or not we have enough people to deal with organized guilds on all four maps at once, if that happens, is anyone’s guess.

First order of business, what’s Kaineng’s nickname? Nothing raises more animosity through the tier then Kaineng so I’m sure they got a few good nicknames.

Seems like they’ve gotten enough attention in the other forum threads. Why feed their egos any further? Mag and DB should just completely ignore Kaineng in the forum PvP.

Considering some of DB was complaining about how our last match up thread excluded them, I feel like that would just be a Maguuman monologue.

Ratings != ranking because everyone will have the same rating. I would be very surprised if the predicted matches didn’t take place.

Honestly, if you’re not doing it in 1/86,400ths you’re doing it wrong.

AoN was an FA, SBI, Maguuma, EB, etc guild. They move to places that they can get good fights, having more guilds like them just means they shouldn’t be on your server so they can fight you :P

Both of your posts imply that you didn’t read the multitude of posts of people on Maguuma expressing a dislike for the scale of zerg combat at this tier. It has nothing to do with winning, but by all means, continue being a jerk!

Maguuma has also gotten tons of transfers and from what I’ve heard in forums, they are in the same boat as us with the amount of zergs but more experienced players.

Mag successfully dropped a lot of it’s dead weight. Much closer to old Maguuma atm, with a couple new additions that are worth keeping.

I’ll believe that if there no more than two queues on Friday.

I think Avatar Dynasty has stumbled onto one of the cheesiest zerg comps in the game. Multiple glamour mesmers spamming feedback and null field. Got to admit it’s effective but if you thought multiple support guardians or d/d eles was cheese wait until you see multiple glamour mesmers.

Oh, I was wondering if that was a tier thing that everyone just did. I think everyone noticed all of that glamour on Friday night, it was nuts.

Well Kylia was one of the pioneers of the glamour mesmer since when I started playing mesmer and when I faced Avatar when they were on IoJ they ran a couple of glamour mesmers. But it looks like they asked themselves “why have one or two when you can have five or six?” It’s a brutally effective spec if there are enough of them because the constant confusion effectively shuts down the enemy allowing the dps to come in and roll everyone. It’s also very hard to keep track of the real mesmers when they’re generating that many clones. The only problem with glamour mesmer is that the spec has room for only one break stun so you really need a lot of support while running it.

Doesn’t seem like a problem at this tier… :P

I agree with you. Last night (oceanic) we were desperately trying to defend crag and managed to held it till the walls got upgraded. We were whooping when that happened. One of my commanders said, to quote her," Somehow, trying to defend that 45 points is more satisfying and fun than all the stomping we did when we were strong." Some of the KoMies were saying that this is what WvW should be about. Working together to perform a difficult task. People from different guilds were shouting at each other," I love you guys!" I never had that kind of feeling when we were in higher tiers.

It is easier to get points from Dragonbrand in the day time than Fort Aspenwood. Even if we tried to push on FA, you guys come into our borderlands en masse without even taking your west keep back. I don’t know how you expect us to focus them when you focus us.

You missed it last night, some of us and OG and Beautykills were dueling the FA PRO streamer. It all happened because he was trying to kill Deka and take north supply and we chased him away and when he stood afar jumping up and down we ran up to him in assorted tonics.

Maguuma definitely doesn’t. Dragonbrand might.

Saiyr.. I’m sorry but I was at that camp – there was literally 8 BT there, 1 guy from OBEY, me (the PRO mesmer) and one guy who wasn’t repping a tag. You had a lot of troops, siege and NPC guards. They were just screwing around, I wasn’t even in comms with them. I don’t even normally play during BT’s time slot, so I’m not even going to comment on their “mmo skill level”; it’s kind of cute how fired up you are about it though, if I was them I would be flattered! Sorry dude, you’re not talking about the same thing as me. You’re replying to the wrong person because I haven’t played at all today (and can’t for the rest of this match). I have been in groups that beat BT fair and square, but I’m not interested in talking about it because I seriously don’t care. BT seems cool on the forums and that’s all that matters to me. Whether or not I think they or any specific guild is bad will usually remain between me and my guild/server.

I feel like “kitten” is in reference to our guild, who never claimed to be elite or “big boys”, but that’s some pretty great flame bait. I don’t think EA ever claimed to be such either. And yeah, you are able to take west keep from us, good job! Your ability to command large numbers well far exceeds ours, because 3 weeks ago we had half of these numbers. PS: It’s a lot easier to take our west keep when we hit our map siege limit without even knowing how!

Lol yeah that was hilarious, we couldn’t stop laughing but I have to disagree that’s a stealth spot only though…most don’t stealth there because they are hitting siege on the dome. We were going for the mortor so sadly we got had to get dangerously close to the edge and we paid for it xD.

One thing I’ve noticed about Maguuma is the amazing reaction time, me and my 5-7 man group would go to a camp, and if there was one person there to report it, more thiefs (usually from kitten ) would show up, and keep coming and coming and coming until they outnumber us and finally kill us.

Reminds me of those terrible,terrible days of trying to take Golanta from TC. Frustrating to say the least, and it is definitely applaudable.

Still keeping it clean..funny that Maguuma is now within striking distance of us, I do not hear “I dont like this matchup, this isnt fun”.

It has its fun moments (as all matches do), but I still had more fun in the lower tiers. Also, we’ve always been pretty close in score, so that was never the issue. But I like how you keep bringing it up even though you’ve been given valid explanations at least three times now.

I don’t really understand how people find a day-long keep siege to be that fun. I guess the end is rewarding since FA had everyone /dance when they finally took our west keep, but the process seems so tedious. It’s like keep combat is just a measure of patience, really…as pointed out, we used a bunch of supply on wacky golem rushes because we were kind of bored. The only joy I found in swirling treb shots was imagining how annoyed the treb operators must have been when most of their shots did nothing. Open field combat is much more fun to me and figuring out how to not get completely steamrolled by BT yesterday was pretty fun. I still prefer it when it’s less zergy (and yes I know Maguuma is just as zergy because we have so many people now, zzz)

I think old threads should count for the post count, anyway. Otherwise we should just sabotage other server threads on Thursday to get them locked. Instant win!
