Seems unlikely this week given how long it took us to close the morning point gap yesterday. But if it makes you feel better, Dragonbrand was completely dominating NA prime time for the past few days, to give you a feel for how SoS is.

Mag is lower last two days around this time than earlier in the week, by about 50 to 100 ppt, you can look on the evolution chart.

Ultimately both servers will continue to move up and down I’m sure either way, even if we spend an extra week here. If there was one more server with the strength of Mag and YB, it would make for a great tier.

Agreed with the last point, but from my recollection we were lower in earlier days. Maybe it was only for a brief time but I remember being dead last in PPT instead of second more than once. The income evolution graphs are not fine grained enough to show it, I think.

DB’s Oceanic is several times stronger yet. And yet the last couple nights we have managed to actually battle a foothold overnight instead of getting wiped off the map.

Basically players have got to want it, there is a difference between pushing toward the end of a week and kind of just sitting out. I’ve seen both on our own server, but we definitely have not given up that way this week, despite the score gap.

I understand all of this. I’m just pointing out that this is not a “sudden” occurrence.

I wouldn’t confuse smaller with easier. They prefer smaller zergs and lots of roaming play, that doesn’t mean they are looking for ‘easier’. Besides I do not think they actually threw the match so much as they just didn’t have the coverage.

They look for easier… (Love the fight clubs with mag…) But when it comes to the game of WvW mags will sit there watch a siege between the other two servers…. When it is about over and the two servers have about wiped each other out mags will run in and try to wipe the capping group… It’s a sound tactic but its sad and just screams vulture….

Why should an underpopulated server play to your strengths? It’s a three way battle for a reason. I enjoy that aspect of the game far more then I enjoy watching two servers see who can stack the best.

I’m really glad you’re generalizing an entire server based on a guild that nobody, not even from anyone from Maguuma, really likes because of their attitude.

PPT is not the goal for many players, specially those that play on servers that haven’t had a close match in a long time.

A server is only as good as the fairweather players they can convince to keep fighting when behind in points

And the unfortunate reality of a server’s presence on the forum is that the loudest posters set the reputation for the rest of them. In your case, is OG.
Just like a handful of hackers on any given server can ruin its reputation in game, same thing applies to forum warriors here.

By that reasoning we should still be calling your server a hacking server. Have more respect.

Edit: By the way, if you look at the posting history of the most vocal OG member, he’s not trash talking other servers anymore because he’s busy trash talking us.

Killjoy was never talking about the whole matchup, merely a snippet where she and four others took the east side of SBI bl without resistance whilst SBI had 10-15 players punching at SW tower, she is merely confused as to why the SBI players concerned chose SW tower over the east side of the bl is all. As a side note I think you also misunderstood the /laugh point, from what I read it’s more the confusion that the SBI defenders when eventually reacting on inner garrison /laugh’d at the maguuman invaders, an act of superiority over them. But the defenders had just lost their whole east side to those 5 who they /laugh’d at, showing a complete lack of superiority. I take the original post as a little bit of a lesson to check for ninja with a chest thumping agenda, but you know all about ninjas though right? (loved those videos friendopal)

But I was also confused by our response. I logged on in the middle of that and we only had 2-3 of us on TS that were responding to the ninja. The rest were pugs with tunnel vision on that tower I guess. Calls for defense were ignored. And we were slow to get eyes on where and how many there were.

We may have had more ppl on the map but we had very few ppl paying attention and trying to defend. It shouldn’t happen but it does.

I didn’t notice the emotes….didn’t come from those that were on TS I think….but that happens too. You can’t apply the attitude from some to a whole server. I certainly didn’t feel “superior” at that moment. But was relieved we finally responded enough to stop the ninja at Garrison at least. =/

Yeah, I was on SBI BL for awhile last night before we War Machined it. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve done small group activities and it was pretty fun. If you killed a terrible human engineer it was probably me!

By the way that sounds like BS to me because Kaineng hit +510 on reset night. I remember this because we were outmanned on 2-3 maps by midnight server time. I find it very hard to believe our keeps were that fortified.

Nope…I watched the catapult for awhile (I was the ele you kept clusterbombing, jerks) and I didn’t see it hitting anything. When I arrived, it was just hitting the cliff face. I left it for awhile because I was really confused as to what it could hit. I saw that it was hitting the SE tower treb spot, but that’s not a destructible wall. I guess it was splashing the one next to it? Either way, I feel like you might as well do the standard placement against the wall. It only delayed me a few seconds in finding it, but I heard the cata sound all the way from north gate.

2nd day in a tougher match up and we are outmanned on EB and no commander lol. Where as last week almost every day eb had a queue and a commander on most maps (even if I never heard of them before). Nice SBI, Fair weather people left quicker than I expected. Oh well so it goes.

Convince more of your guild to join in! Last month it used to be just me in wvw, nowadays we usually have enough for a full party. Progress is being made.

My whole guild has been there.. it is very small though :P. We still have many more people that are here than our last time in t4 but you can see a huge difference from this weeks numbers from last.. maybe it is spring break.. idk.

The part that makes me the most confused though is all the people that started showing commander tags last week and have since disappeared.. they paid 100 gold so they could look cool while we rolled over smaller pops (I guess) and then disappear when it is a harder game lol.

I understand there fair weather players.. but fair weather commanders.. really? Seems like a waste to me. Why bother buying the tag?
