Ahh Oceanic prime time, where I can get away with building a cata and taking a tower without seeing any opposition for 20 minutes. Whilst NSP were taking their northern towers back, I had some fun stealing a southern one. Did end up getting more people to defend Garrison for a while though.

So I guess you were one of those [SG] players that fought us in garrison. You guys handed our kitten to us for sure, had a hard time rallying the pugs to push in. And after we wiped you guys and headed for hills, le wild SBI zerg appears and took our garrison while we wiped at hills. To be honest, I’m sick of these match-ups, retaking our stuff only to lose it within the hour to a blob while we have maybe 10 defenders without any siege or supply. I think I’m gonna take a break from wvw for the rest of the week.

I see all this talk about running away. It’s annoying when you are trying to get somewhere fast and you are encountered by the enemy. That’s not running away from a fight, that is trying to get somewhere you are needed. So I say ppphhhffttt to anyone who posts about players running away.

Summary:

Had some great fights this week (being a roamer) against both sides, sorry to both servers for the faceroll but at least the zergers got lots of karma I hear, better luck to both servers in next match up.

call me QQ on this too I don’t mind, but only bad thing I can say about this match up (besides boredom) was the emote wars ET likes to do, be a shame if you became “one of those servers”

Unless you’re a mind reader, you really have no clue what the other person is doing. I know you’re probably one of those that really gets off on stabbing a stick in the ground. I’ve never run off a cliff in a “panic” as you state, but I have strategically run off one to get away from a much larger group of people since it’s impossible to get out of combat and WP to a place I need to be instead of waiting for some little clown to come poke me with a stick. So as it stands, 1. I have no armor repairs, and 2. I’m out of combat in a fruitless situation and back to more meaningful tasks. I saved myself time AND money, so who is the real winner there?

Good fun tonight having some ruins fights, [VLK] caught us and wiped us when we were trolling 3 thieves but we came back as warrior, guardian and thief and had a decent fight, we spent 5 mins looking for more but we figured you went home to defend.

Again against the [CATZ] party in IoJ ruins, even though you guys got wiped 5+ times you still get huge respect for coming back for the 2(you) vs 3(us) repeatedly.

And sorry to the GT guild, had some good even fights in ruins again but we were talking about bed when you guys jumped us at camp 5v3 (1afk) which was pretty much a decider if you guys had 5 maybe more then the fun was done when we were down to 2.

Simply making a comment. The IOJ forum warriors are appeased because they get an easy win, and the other servers know that fighting back is useless so why even bother.

Well unlike DDLG other people and guilds actually respect each other, no one else tea bags enemies after GvG nor do they chest thump and call people bad after it, only in DDLG we trust to destroy a friendly match up in game and over the forums win or lose, most of those “forum warriors” you are talking about are usually just defending from DDLG comments about DDLG killed an uplevel or 4 organised people killed 2 randoms which in turn according to DDLG makes that guild and server “bad”.

DDLG is the only guild that is disrespectful enough to 5v1 an uplevel and emote them, if it was a newish player then they might have been discouraged to play this game any further seeing the online community of this game can be so childish based off the actions of 1 guild, also reading the YB/SBI/BP and SBI/IOJ/NSP match up, DDLG is the only guild I have ever seen been told by their own server mates to quit the bull or to have had comments about being “bad apples” to another server.

Also reading the week you guys left DR, seems most of the DR server were glad to see you guys leave.

I’m not sure who DDLG guild leader is, but I am going to take a guess that he didn’t want to create one of the most hated guilds and disrespectful guilds across the lower tiers which is where his guild mates have put him.

Had some fun in HoD BL ranging from trolling with 3 thieves using scorpion wire to drag 1 person around to escorting the animorphs from VLK transforming into yaks and spiders n such and for the random little fights here and there….

Do you understand this match up at all? There is no point in even WvW’ing against your server with anything less than 5. Your server has 0 roaming guilds they all zerg with 20+ running from objective to objective.

If you really want a fair fight I’m pretty sure it’s been posted who to message to set something up. Feel free to take advantage of that.

I think perplex is OP but I’m still finding it easier to stack confusion with perplex runes on a mesmer and condition war before an engi….

You know how funny it is having a condition warrior and a hammer? BOOM half a zerg has confusion just from the earthsaker… then you use the 4 skill and 5 skill… Gives a good laugh!

Dont forget to trait Death from Above and slot Stomp for 2 more Aoe Knockbacks.
I run Perplexity runes with a mostly celestial build. I do 2.5k damage with confusion at 18 stacks (easy to deal with 8 interrupts at my disposal) while my Armor and Attack rating are still around 3k each, 30% crit chance and 55% crit damage. I get another 55% pure damage increase from traits when my adrenaline is full, my target is stunned and i have 5 boons on me.

Holy hell I did not think of that trait, thankyou my day will become so much funnier now, also like to point out having it on my ranger with piercing shots and a concussion shot through a few ppl is somewhat stronger than I thought it might be hehe

Moved here 7 days ago along with my guild RUN. Gotta say we’re happy we transferred. Excellent community, excellent WvW, awesome orginisation between guilds and commanders.

I highly recommend this server to guilds or people who are looking for good mid-tier fights.

2750 armour provides 33.33% direct damage mitigation, a lot of people consider it a waste taking toughness higher than that.

But protection buff does that too reduces damage by 33.33%, my ele uses 2 armour of earths (1 utility, 1 traited) instead of bothering with toughness. Rarely dies and once went straight through a 100 strong zerg (on her own) and survived.

Agreed I have re-tooled most of my toons to hover around 2800, like you said the difference is really negligible over that.

I didnt know this thankyou… my war is 4.3k armor with health regen banners but only 3.4k power before bloodlust with a 20% crit chance, 24k health and its the condition meta that still makes me feel useless…

If IoJ is so bad, how come you moved servers? You couldn’t kill us in DR? I mean, we wiped you in your bl with your organized DDLG zerg and our pug zerg. It was a 25v25, you guys had a little bit more I didn’t see any necro pets or anything, just characters. You guys got rolled that day, and I’m sure the other hundred times too. Honestly, have some respect tots. I’ve seen you say some kitten about IoJ on every DR vs IoJ vs (server here) thread. I should’ve had fraps on when DDLG and other guilds were doing big group raids, and we’d wipe you 90% of the time. I would’ve had over 1,000 youtube videos up.

Besides that, thanks SBI for some intense fights outside the red keep in eb, I’ve gotten a lot better with d/d. But I had to repair all the time because of that stupid cannon from SM

We all started off with a friendly clean match up and now thanks to SBI (and from what I’ve gathered, DR transfers) this match up has turned into something spiteful.

There is also a good possibility of seeing SBI a lot more in the future if we end up in silver and with IOJ moving up. As far as us getting rolled by higher servers, look at the BP match up last week. SE saw the blobs that BP runs around with and BP is pretty well organized. SE should be more worried about being on IOJ, you wont get good fights against lower tiers due to the numbers you can bring and you will get depended upon heavily to carry IoJ against any of the middle tier servers. Be prepared to face many weeks like this one.

What you dont seem to realise is that you guys got the coverage of a much higher rated server that what your current rank/rantings suggest. To the point of even holding IoJ off during oceanic time, I was there today and you guys easily had twice if not more our size.

YB, Bp, kaneineng and so on would still be difficult for us but Im completely sure the match up woudn’t be as one sided as this one is. From what I’ve seen it looks like a good bunch of sbi know this and want to go up in tiers for a bigger challenge in gold league which i gotta give props for being realistic. The numbers and organization you guys are pulling deffinetly belongs in a higher tier

The fact is that IoJ wants a better challenge than what they have been getting facing the likes of SF and HoD, but in all honesty, BP, Ebay, YB, CD are all going to be tough fights for you guys. Maybe not quite as tough as the SBI matchup is, but it seems to me not everybody from IoJ is in tune with what they want from WvW. Fighting large numbers day in and day out is how you get better, and it’s up to you guys as a server to set realistic objectives for what you hope to get out of the week and make it a positive experience so you are ready to take on the likes of other mid tier servers.

What we’re trying to say is we like the match up as well, but when you guys come on here after taking our eb corner or a keep or two in our BL and tell us to get better do you really expect people want to come in and play WvW after that? I still play cause I know i’ll get good fights, so does my guild. That doesnt mean every person on ever server will feel the way me and my guild feel. Most of us have withdrawn to fun rather then giving you a guys a challenge anymore, especially with nsp coming at as well. (PPT wise)

Hillarious, as soon as IoJ gets a match up where they can’t tick 600 during Oceanic, they start to complain about coverage. Rich coming from you guys, considering the only way you win your previous match ups is by late night PvDoor. Your server is clearly filled with fairweather PvDoor players and as soon as they can’t play it, they fall off the grid completely. As soon as the famed “IoJ Oceanics” stop showing up, the coverage complaining begins.

Also, thanks to the RUN genius who pointed out how IoJ is gaining 15k glicko and SBI only a few hundred. Nice, I guess that just means we’ll be seeing each other more often so you can continue to QQ.

We might come second on the score board but so far it appears we have won the match up and it has been an amazing effort from everyone on IoJ.

SBI finally got the keep after something silly like 2 hours or more of sieging it, seeing as we were outnumbered by atleast 5:1 we did pretty f’ing good guys!

I’ve gone back to the zerg builds lol can’t be bothered with the random zerg dances and tea bags anymore if I get zerged while roaming and if I was roaming and you brought 6 people to kill me and it will kill me then personally it doesn’t bother me if people just got the loot bag and moved on without being kittens about it.
