Sad really, I wanted to like you in the beginning, shame it wasnt possible.

Same could be said about my views on the alliance, it was fine at first but then people got way too serious and i stayed how i was, thus resulting in the clashes i see now. (stating this at parts of the alliance, who know who they are, and not all the guilds as a whole).

Im not the one running around TS ranting and raving at people like the alliance “leaders.” I get drunk and i have fun, alliance members get drunk and kitten out people while im not there and then play nice when i turn up, bunch of cowards. then even now i hear there’s " 40 people ready to report me and Lili" if we every say anything bad so we get banned because everything else were doing is fully within the accordance of the TOS, which you cant ban us for.

But i guess this goes back to the double standard of if Zombieland does it it’s ok but if anyone else does anything in EB it’s wrong. Also for the record i haven’t build anything you guys deem " unnecessary" in EB for a good few days, i see a few ZL doing it though and pinning it on HBGR, nice to get blamed when we’re even asleep.

Keep on Marching to the tune though.

I have witnessed it. The last time server police commanded and 4 trebs were dropped at doors, star and lilli got the blame even though they were offline, we told him that so he blamed HBGR, I joined the zerg to see if anyone was there and there was not. They get blamed for a lot for things they don’t do and guildies being guildies sticking up for each other it results in 5-10 WvW members abusing them for things they did not do.

As for the rest, if you’re refering to the karma trains, after I noticed how much they were harming, I voiced my opinion against them. Not much more I can do.

As for that line there… A few of us voiced this opinion the 1st day but were met with “what I say goes” type deal. It’s great some have come to realize this but as a server we have a long way to go. Let’s take the anger between the native Indians and foreign cowboys have at each other and turn it towards the other server with vicious tactics and a lollipop.

Yep… GoM server needs a bit of work and some chill pills, I just had the karma train explained to me so I’m not mad about the temporary fix as much as I was but we won’t get anywhere if we keep playing the blame game and insulting each other otherwise I can see a lot more people leaving our server and all our server will be left with to use are our new level 2 players we have pulled off the starting maps.

Those 3 [Bags] guardians at pang and ogres then… Ow. I came back for 3rds but too much stability and way too many heals.

Yep, last place. To a server 1.3 tiers above us and a server with Oceanic coverage that completely owns us. And yet we are gaining rating, almost as much as you are losing. So, against 2 servers you should be dominating, you are losing rating points. And both of us are gaining. I agree, we are in last place. We suck. We just don’t suck nearly as much as you do.

We don’t have much oceanice coverage anymore, karma trains in EB on day crew dismantled our EB night crew really hard… We had 4 people at one stage trying to defend and on the only thing we owned in EB was our keep. The 4 that were on were extremely thankful RISE guild came to save EB while Ioj guys were halfway through trebbing the keep and DR were bringing golems. So by saying that, the truth is it’s Ioj that have supreme dominance during oceanic time zone now and DR can still field more people than us atm as I seen when you took durious from us, unless you call 2 GoM vs 6 DR as us having more. We also lost some more night crew players that used to help alot over the last few days to Tarnished Coast due to the bullkitten that happens within our own server and when a guild benefits themselves at the expense of the server this will only get worse.

GoM’s problem is a lot simpler than that. We are bored.

In order for GoM to fight a tougher opponent, we need to get a large positive roll and DH/SBI needs to get a strong negative roll. All other random rolls will result in us fighting weaker servers again. This is a ~25% chance of a challenge, and a ~75% of stomping weaker servers again. (This is just estimated math, I’m sure someone has the hard numbers.)

This is happening because of the HUGE artificial rating gap between rank 15 and rank 16. I call it artificial because last time we fought DH, we only lost by a little. NSP fared quite well against the T5 servers also. There is no reason for such a 250+ rating gap. Once GoM or NSP gets the opportunity to test that rating gap, it will collapse. But we need a really lucky random roll to get that chance.

So GoM is bored. I’ve barely played WvW this week, and my guild has not played it much either. Some of my “I hate all things PvE” members are working on map completion. The truth is, GoM is phoning it in.

It just goes to show you that morale is everything in WvW.

It is all about morale and when night crew used to work hard to accomplish things for a bored day crew to give it all away for WxP and karma there isn’t much of it left. Enough about this from me, gonna farm EB some more and then hit up my new favourite part about GW2… sPvP

What I observed in this week’s matchup.

DR – [DDLG] is not what they used to be 2-3 weeks ago when we faced them. You guys looks scattered this time and twice we rolled over your zerg. I don’t know if you guys was unorganized or IoJ got the counter for you.

GoM – Common guys! Do not WP or alt-tab godkitten it! Lets fight head on. I need to use like 3 speed buffs to chase your zerg. You got the numbers, fight like a man.

hehe Ioj runs away from 1v1’s and GoM runs away from Zerg vs Zerg… I did have an amazing 1v1 finally against a war, both downed each other to rally state but sadly that war last stand ability or w/e its called won it for him!

Argh learnt a valueable lesson today in EB… Don’t bother fighting Ioj 1v1 or chasing… I been baited into 5 ppl to be stomped way too much

He actually is a pretty decent fighter and turns out to be a really decent forum warrior, if you don’t believe me then scroll through this thread and count how many people are replying to him.

Also.. Anyone else read the chat logs in the pictures? Yer we see this in map chat all the time and the best thing to do is stop playing and have a laugh at the people dumb enough to bite

A successful troll gets people to respond out of anger. If you haven’t noticed I’ve been ridiculing him and laughing at him. Mom jokes aren’t good trolls. Good trolls always have an element of truth in them. Like the truth that he isn’t a good player because while many elems have learned to adjust to the nerfs he does nothing but whine on the forums about them.

Trolling has nothing to do with anger or emotions, it’s about getting a response to something that one has spoken about that has no actual relevance. The actual truth about all this is, everyone here “trolling” is sitting behind their keyboards having a laugh about how they made the other person upset or mad when they are doing the exact same thing.

Trolling has everything to do with anger and emotions. It’s a form of psychological confrontation. People who get crushed by trolling are people with fragile egos like ARM. People who don’t take themselves too seriously are pretty much impervious to trolling.

I’m somewhere in the middle of that scale, BTW.

I dunno then maybe I need to learn to troll or maybe I just couldn’t give a kitten about getting involved with it… I like to give people kitten and expect some in return but I don’t like people getting kitten about it.

Anyway: Ioj, I only have so many shadow shots to keep up with a runner -.- I’m so bad a thief I always refer my ranger, mesmer or guard…

Yer it has been a lot of fun fighting AR and Ioj this week… AR have some really good fighters and helped me learn alot about my mesmer this week after pulling him off the shelf after 6 months of not using him (screwed his build and always being told to portal golems is off putting) and Ioj those management skills with your zergs is just down right amazing our server did learn alot about commanding against you guys and learnt a fair bit about commanding themselves from what I seen to usual “everyone all on me need more people” tactics.. Also to my server very proud of you guys for getting rid of the karma train and actually trying out new things and micro managing the zerg into separate groups with different goals to accomplish.

The [ALS] and [TWIN] tags should have known better, provided you weren’t preventing a point/camp cap. The rest are pugs….there’s no accounting for what they might do.

Were you flying a kite? Kite flying animals are NOT OK TO KILL!!! They should be honored for their spirit, not to mention their dexterity (especially if they are the cloven-hoofed variety).

One last thought: if you are from GoM…..well, I do believe due to several spawn-camping episodes early in the match-up, you may have earned KoS status. So sorry if that’s the case…..really I am…..I’m not lying, I’m really and truly sorry…..oh who am I kidding, you kittenheads deserve to die. There. I said it. Happy now?!?!?!

You guys had the SM north wall down and I was ontop of it, only way to get to me was to run past a zerg, go about 1500 range up to the stairs and double back to finally reach me and the amount of warriors and guards and thieves that ignored the zerg, pushed through and came onto those walls strait at me was insane… You also had 2 mesmers using temporal curtain pull onto me atleast 20 times ignoring everyone else from my server and a group of 5 or so at the bottom around the corner just standing there not even trying to fight until I was pulled off the wall… -.-

What did I do to deserve this outta curiosty?

You had some great assaults to begin with from really crafty areas but there was a point where we had 4 people defending from 15 of you but still nothing… Ioj came with a few golems but didn’t even see we had cannons so that didn’t last long… I mainly ask can you not field the men to reclaim it because it’s reached that point where I feel like I’m bullying the under dog of the match at the moment…

Also wanna say I have had some amazing fights tonight in your borders (solo and small groups), and a great job at defending your other assets in the borderlands…

Well, considering that AR is at this point by far the smallest of the three servers and has the lowest rank, you are in fact “bullying the underdog” along with your server being unwilling or unable to hit IoJ with any impact, the rest of your server is following suit. Sending around 60 with multiple golems to our Eternal keep while IoJ is hitting your SMC is just more evidence of that. If you guys were looking for legit fights, you would actually fight IoJ with the same tenacity that you fight AR. Looking at the WvW map at most times of the day seem to contradict that.
No we can’t currently field many players, and there is nothing wrong with capitalizing on that, but then to say you want better competition while actively avoiding it for karma training sends a mixed message. When you face 2 more populated servers this is going to become more apparent.
It is fun knowing that even with cheaper siege we still must be costing you folks a fortune in golems though. The first several golem rushes you guys pulled failed on Eternal AR keep, and you only succeeded with overwhelming numbers(and I mean having to drop graphic settings to avoid fps drop massive) all the while avoiding IoJ. I understand why your EB comma don’t hit IoJ though, because we may only have about 1/4 GoMs numbers but IoJ actually has closer to equal numbers, and they fail to win on an even playing field.

with 4 people Ioj has too many which is why we came to you 0.o
We were only after some small fights but after capping all your camps and a tower we went hills to get your attention so like I said please don’t take offense or read it negatively… As for EB it be a silly place to be…

Someone on AR has no honor…. I was looking at this guy and he was looking at me for about 5 seconds so I decided lets see if he ants to have a duel… I /bow to him but half way through my animation with my pet on avoid combat he charged me with double fear and had me nearly killed before i could even get my pet off avoid combat or apply any boons to myself -.-

I don’t really know about this “Golem” and “Spies” fiasco is. I wasn’t on until later. I couldn’t care less.

But what I’m failing to understand is why you guys have to walk up into our spawn point. And on the walls building siege? Isn’t that exploiting right there? I’m pretty sure that’s why Anet made the guards there in the first place. Next time, just wait outside and chill.

My post was mainly objecting to the fact that “spies” must’ve been involved, rather than just the builder’s failure to prevent us seeing them being built.

I can’t speak for other people, but most of RISE will occasionally run into the bottom of the enemy spawn when we’re bored, and pop quaggan tonics or throw down blueprints for no reason. Enemies are invincible, so we don’t bother fighting, we just chill with anyone from the opposing server who doesn’t want to kill defenseless quaggans. It usually just needs some stealth or block skills to get past the guards, but for some reason the guards took the day off (i checked every other bl as well, fc spawn in our bl was the only place without them. little weird) so we just ran in.

As far as i’m aware, we didn’t actually build any siege on the walls, just threw down some prints because of all the qq-ing about GoM using siege in this thread.

We did, however, use a treb to kill the golems. I do somewhat agree with you that this is a bit shifty, however it doesn’t take that much effort to hide golems in your spawn in places that can’t been seen/hit, and if this wasn’t done, then I don’t see how it’s that different to leaving a golem in the open field and having it destroyed there. It was left in a vulnerable position, and we killed it from a position we could reach without any kind of hacking or exploitation of game bugs. We also had some abrasive comments from FC players after we wiped a group, so we weren’t feeling especially charitable towards them.

All in all, i think it’s just that FC and GoM have been together for too long. Matchup threads tend to get more and more hostile as the week progresses, and we’ve effectively been in the same thread for 3 weeks. It’s clearly not a good matchup, whether you want to attribute it to numbers, tactics, skill, or whatever else, 100,000 point difference is just boring, and some of the forum posts are getting ridiculously stupid (from both sides), particularly about siege. Either way, it will be good to get away from each other for a bit.

The main FC zerg knew -exactly- where our main zerg was without orange swords ever popping up.

I’m sorry but that is a bit of a stretch. A good scout won’t be noticed, and any half decent player is going to know 2 steps ahead where a zerg that big is going. Its usually pretty obvious. GOM zergs are not very unpredictable, no zerg is really.

Yeah. I heard the commander who we had in Eb tonight was just bad. I decided to sleep since we’re so far ahead Sorry you guys didnt get properly steam rolled. I’ll fix that tomorrow night.

I was there for that and we failed for 2 reasons and trust me it was not on the commander.

1. FC have must have had more siege than they did numbers, ranger from trebs, to arrow carts so it was hard just to get a bit of siege up, it was actually a really good defense from them and to be honest it’s been great they have been becoming better at it instead of us just strolling in spamming the lord and easy capping the keep.

2. Our zerg was doing really well until someone I won’t mention here started to backseat command and give orders over the top of the commanders orders splitting our numbers up on different things and making it harder for us to accomplish anything and when that person was asked to please stop he became very insulting towards our commander.

All up I would like to say our commander did great considering we have such negative people on our server, as a commander myself most days I just detag and tell the backseat commander to take over.

I’m actually appalled at the fact that we care about Karma and WXP over our score. I watched as we went from +350 PPT to now +270 ppt at the penning of this post. All points lost from EB because we’re too busy letting the enemy recap things for the WXP. What a joke.

Thanks for all the bags! Wiped a zerg force of GoM that was at least four times the size of our defending group. With Siege, Tactics, and Open Combat.

They also lost their borderlands except bay but at least the genre of this guy’s talk has changed from “GoM are spineless jerks that use arrow carts” to “LOOK AT MY NEW TOY OMG I DIDNT KNOW THESE EXISTED STOP QQ” sorta thing..

Why do you guys insist on debating that all you have is numbers, when everything you say to contest it….is saying you have numbers?

That’s a laugh… It was actually about 10 maybe 12 at most that swept your borderlands, we had to run supplies just to get a treb up… But that’s cool man, not everyone can count.

GoM’s always been a high pop server, even after most of our WvW crowd left because of the orb hacking stuff that happened in the early months. It’s just that we’re a heavily PvE-based server and easily distracted by shiny objects with particle effects. The fact that you see giant seas of GoM players running around is just a byproduct of being on a winning streak and having commanders run karma trains.

You’ll probably notice a pretty big population drop next time we take a tough loss. You’ll probably also notice a lot less forum warriors coming out of the woodworks to run their mouths.

I’m someone who is normally on the “night crew” being an australian and I would love to fight tougher opponents, sadly I just don’t see our server growing any further while we attract all the upleveled PvE players to WvW karma trains, new players to WvW are being encouraged to let things flip at the moment instead of actually understanding the PPT and basics. It’s gonna get rough when we fight DH again but I hope we dont lose all our player base again till 1 commander can flip DH’s keep and bring ppl back into it again for the last 2 days to hold our own.

Anyway, this weeks match up will end and next week no one will remember any of this weeks match up unless of course FC and GoM are against each other.

GoM map chat has been pretty rich since the incident in the past pages.

In all seriousness, AR has been up against EB, SBI, DH, DR akittens height, Kain, etc. GoM far out does all of these servers as far as what I have seen in total zerg population. I just don’t understand why the median of player skill is so low on the server. You may want to direct some of your player base over to the class forums, because maybe it’s a build/gear issue. I’m not trying to be mean, I am honestly trying to help you guys out.

It’s not that… Day crew runs the karma train where they let other servers flip towers and keeps just so they can come back and reflip it for the karma and WXP… We will never advance because of this.
