He isn’t the only NPC in this series that is bugged.
I swear this game needs an Orkin NPC… soooooo many bugs.
Find him in Caledon Forest at the Hantoo Trading Post PoI. After that, there is a Quaggan in the water near the Zopatl Grounds PoI. Give him three items found very near him on the sea floor in the order they appear when you talk to him (after you have the items). You may need to do his event first which is simply rescue him from the krait. He gives you a map fragment. I have 2 fragments now and am not sure what to do next. I talked to levii as the fragment said but that did nothing.
No, no and no. Go back to WoW if you liked what WoW has.
I lost 1000 achievement points with this patch!
I lost 1000 points as well.
You have to copy and paste the link, you can’t just click it.
I did 100% map completion on my first character, now I skip through Orr just to get a waypoint in Cursed Shore so I can port past it all. Event farming… /sigh.
I also halted getting gear for my other characters (all 80). No need to waste gold or time on something that will soon be obsolete. Right now, I am logged in but not really doing anything in the game.
And ALL the time. Unfortunately, I died in the Straits of Devastation. The worm spitting giant got me. So where can I rez? Fort Trinity!!! There were 7 other waypoints much closer but they are all contested, and they are always contested.
So I broke out my cell phone and began to play a game on it while waiting for a waypoint to become uncontested. I am still waiting. I wish there was a 30 minute time limit for waypoints to be contested.
I am sorely… no, bitterly disappointed in the move towards gear grinding for stats.
I am adamantly opposed to any sort of gear progression scheme other than what was originally in GW2 at launch. If I am forced to grind for gear, I will simply go back to WoW.
When people like you say the game is too easy, it is your own fault. There are hard ways to get items, and easier ways to get items. You do the hard way if you want and don’t worry about what route the next guy takes. The problem is, YOU take the easy route instead of the hard route then complain it was too easy.
PvP section is thataway —-→
I will do it once to complete it then never, EVER return.
Marmox, that is all.
6 Dolyak runes on Jalis armor so I can be like Spock, live long and prosper. Works well for my play style, your mileage may vary. 15/0/25/30/0 with mace/focus and either a GS or staff. I love my symbols!!

I run 15/0/25/30/0 and Jalis armor and Dolyak runes. I am 99% PvE solo and I just don’t die. I am all about the symbols! I use a mace/focus and either a GS or staff depending on the situation.

Yep, I do my level 80 stuff in Frostgorge Sound, I do not go back to Orr unless I absolutely have to. I agree with the OP, it is NOT fun there.
It doesn’t work fine because you sacrifice valuable bag space. If you have all the minis, you can’t carry them all… you must decide which ones you want before you leave the bank. You obviously put zero thought into your reply.
Yes, please! I hate how my target gets changed when I rotate my camera during a fight.
Can we have a menu for mini pets like rangers have for their pets? Press a letter and let us choose which to display and it stays out until we put it back. No need for renaming option, either. This would allow all minis to stay in the bank and be used throughout the game.
NO! With all the drama it causes in real life, we don’t need that brought to the game. The first time they want to let 2 men marry, or a charr and a harpy, the crap will begin.
I didn’t complete October’s monthly because of the WvW requirement. It certainly looks like I won’t do November’s either, especially because of the dungeon requirement. I can just see it now, standing around yelling…

Whenever I am asked about the quality of this Halloween event, the FIRST thing that comes to mind is the horrid clock tower. It completely overshadows the other aspects of the event, which were actually fun.
So from now on, when I see an announcement for a new “fun” holiday event, my first thought will be “oh crap, I hope there isn’t another clock tower fiasco like that Halloween event”.
Zero. I spend gems I already had on the min pets, but I will never, EVER gamble with them. I was one of the lucky few who opened one single chest with a key I got from in-game and got a ghastly shield skin. I promptly sold it.
It sucked an I gave up after day 1, although I gave it numerous attempts. It simply was not fun. And unlike some, my sense of self worth is not based on how well I do on a jumping puzzle in a video game.
I think is great that they drop from chest and everyone, even poor players, can get one. This “only the elite few should get it” is utter malarkey.
Thanks “great hs”. I guess I overlooked the date on the last Act. Oct 31 it is!
I meant a time a date… sheesh.
This is all I have left for the special event and was wondering when I get to complete that.
80 ranger, solo’d him as well. Fun times… unlike that %!#$!$ clock tower.
No, not one bit. Pathetic design and not suited for a “fun” event by a long shot. It will be the only jumping puzzle I will not complete (unless they add another crapola like this).

7 page forum thread on Clock Tower. Conclusion: design fail.
Don’t forget the LARGE number of post about this on Reddit. An no kittens there. I think Anet really ticked off a very significant portion of the player base. The elitests can go back to WoW, please.
Lesson: Don’t get excited over any future holiday events.
While this one was fun to some, it was far more annoying than anything else. I spent 1000 gems to get the three mini pets and the rare skeleton with the chainsaw. I did not spend a dime on anything else and certainly won’t in the future. I will gladly spend my money on sure things like pets and skins from the gem store, but never on “chances”.
I completed all the events I have available with the exception of the clock tower. Holy crap, was that the most non-fun thing I have ever encountered during a so-called fun event. Yes I know, opinions will vary. This was just mine.
If they added an option to choose the tower as it is now or one where removed they time constraint and the rising goo, every single one of these elitest blowhards would be running the easier one 100% of the time, regardless of what they will claim on the public forums.
Funny how one misstep can swing an election away from a candidate. Funny how one mega annoying jumping puzzle can swing a long time fan away from Anet.
And the guy above me, he bases his self worth on his mouse clicking ability and his computer setup. It appears the only way he can feel good about his life is that he has a better computer than most and can can complete a horrendous jumping puzzle most people can’t.

In every match in the Inquisition, I am the only one left alive because I hide so well. The rules say to survive, so that is what I do. I hide for 13 minutes but I do have to nudge a little movement every now and then so I don’t get kicked for inactivity. So I say… working as intended.
I figured it out. I needed to be on both teams int he Rumble.
Some people have 3 of 4 so far, I only have 2 of 4. Anyone know what the requirements are for this achievement?
Being hurried sucks. Not fun at all, just look at all the threads about it here and on reddit.
And you felt this needed another thread why? I would guess the ratio for it as it is is about 4% with 96% saying it is not fun.
I certainly do hope this does not count towards the overall achievement. I have completed every other jumping puzzle and enjoyed them all… but I absolutely detest this one because it is rushed and I was forced to wait to try again. I gave up, there is no fun anymore in it.
Grats to those that have completed it, but nonetheless, it sucks… really bad. I have completed every other jumping puzzle in the game, but this one will go unfulfilled unless I can do it without a group.
GW2 is almost exactly what I am looking for in an MMO. I canceled my WoW account a month before GW2 came out… and I played WoW since day 1.
<—- Wow is thataway. Glad you still enjoy WoW but there is no need to make this game like it. I enjoy GW2 significantly more than WoW.
On our server, we lose in WvW by a significant margin. Blackgate dominates by controlling 99-100% of all the maps all the time. Before them, Jade Quarry did the same in our group of servers. So when one team owns all of every map, what is there for them to do?
I know for the losers, we simply don’t participate as there is no point.
Once I completed Orr with one character, all my others go to the frozen zone instead. They could remove Orr from the game and I would never know it… it is THAT bad. Mob density, nearly immediate respawns and huge aggro ranges make it not worth the effort.
I take off all my gear and run through if I see a PoI I still need is attainable. If not, I port right back out. I am on HoD.
