I read in a post or two from a dev saying that the leaderboard is going on right now as I’m typing this and the data is always been calculated into it. It also said that it will be available very soon, though that’s irrelevant to my question.
How exactly is this leaderboard being calculated? By individual tournament score? Tournament wins? Win + score? ELO system? What is it? Curious to know.

From what I have truly seen, it would seem like this to me:
1- Ele
2- Thief
3- Mesmer
4- Eng
5- Guard
6- Ranger
7- Necro
8- Warrior
Warriors are actually 8-10,000, because that’s how awful they are right now.

Go craft 10 logs. Really? That’s got to be THE EASIEST THING THERE IS TO DO.
The only complaint I have is the dodging. However, it’s going to improve player skill, and I have seen some awful players, so…I’m happy about all of it.
Those of you that are complaining really need to understand that this stuff is not difficult. If crafting 10 items or doing 5 events is difficult, go play WoW.

You can get 40 max per moth. At 35 a piece, competing with the amulets which give better stats and nobody has, the grind for rings for people who do not do fractals is insane.
The grind?
Doing your daily is a grind? I think not.

Same thing is happening to me. You’re not alone.

Portal bombs are cheese tactics. Turtling is a cheese tactic. Cull bombing is beyond cheese tactic and implies the group has no actual game skill and must resort to using flawed rendering from the game engine in order to beat their opponent.
Portal Bombs and Turtles are weak, but actually use the skills in a character’s build to achieve an end.
Cull bombing would work with a bunch of level 10s mashing buttons if you have enough players.
While I may look down on Portals and Turtles, I can still look at them. I can’t even look down on a cull bomb because you can’t see it.
If you need to resort to using a broken rendering trick to win, you might want to examine why you even play the game.
If it happens in a fair fight unintended by either side, fine, but we all know the guilds that specialize in not having enough skill/guts to fight it out. Pin a medal on them for bravery.
Turtling is not a cheese tactic. It’s simply protecting places, what is wrong with that? What do you want people to do? Go outside, outnumbered, and die so the other server(s) can take the stuff over? What’s the point of that? The only time anyone ever turtles is if they are outnumbered; it’s using this to their advantage so that they can win the fight. Learn to outplay it.

Score of this please?

I can find the first segment of the “interview” on the GW2 twitch.tv page, but the second segment doesn’t seem to be there.
Is it anywhere else?
Thanks.

Have you considered taking the duels into sPvP? Not only would it be easier and cheaper to try out builds, but you wouldn’t suffer repair costs, interruptions from 3rd parties, or occupy a slot in WvW that someone interested in WvW may appreciate.
Plus, you’d get to duel people in any tier and this could pick up a decent following.
Playing in WvW gear and sPvP gear are entirely different. In fact, dueling in sPvP you have a lot more ‘3rd party’ interruptions than an isolated corner in WvW. Also in T2 I haven’t been in a queue for a long time except for reset nights.
Your points are flawed.
That’s not flawed at all.
Your points are flawed. sPvP has hardly any interruptions. In WvW, you get the crosses symbol on the map, so everyone comes. Also, fights are even MORE balanced in sPvP than WvW because gear and levels are all equal, unlike in WvW.

@ShRNA
You need to PAY to play in a PvP game because everyone gets rewarded for their efforts. It’s beyond MY understanding as to why people cannot understand the concept that paid tournaments are for those that actually work at PvP day in and day out to get better. Paids are for the best teams, not for pugs. That’s why there are free tournaments.

Wondering if I can change my login name.
It’s not even that, it’s just that it’s difficult for others to identify me because of it not having any similarity to my main in-game name.
Thanks.

Double tap, or v, to dodge. Problem solved.

Not the only one as I see, but I want to make sure that ArenaNet sees that it’s not just one person or section.
Have to quit the client and reload it every time. Really putting a halt to PvP.

So are you saying I get 50% crit in total or 50% + 47%?
I used to run the Academy Gaming tournaments for GW2.
I have 47% crit chance on my warrior as is. If I use my IV in Arms which states,
“50% critical-hit chance against stunned foes”
Does that add on to the 47% crit chance I already had, or just bring it up 3% to match 50%?

I am interested in seeing what other people like for 5v5 tournaments team composition.
Spill it out. Thanks.
Also, it would be nice to see some reasoning behind your thoughts.
