There is one good reason for why they should remove the aoe limit. It will give players in wvw incentive to split up. Then they can no longer blob up like zombies and always win as long as they have more players. The speed you res someone from dead and the aoe limit is not really balanced. Even if you defend a keep and throw down all you’re aoe and luckily kill 1 they will res him up in 10 seconds.

I Really don’t like the current node capture system even tough i did love AB in gw1. so here is my suggestions of new fun pvp modes that could be added to the game.

  • Heroes’ Ascent
  • Guild versus guild
  • Capture The Flag
  • Deathmatch

Heroes’ Ascent present in gw1 is a elimination type of pvp.
The Hall of Heroes has 9 Arenas, 1 qualification round and 1 waiting area.
You will be awarded with fame point that go towards you’re Hero Title Track.

Guild versus guild also present in gw1. You fight in you’re guild hall or the enemy and the main objective is to kill the guild lord. If time runs out the team with most aggressiveness will be declared victorious.

Capture the flag you will have a timelimit and you’re main objective is to steal the enemy flag and score it in you’re base as many times as you can before the time ends.

Deathmatch score as many points as you can by killing players within a certain time limit.

Not sure about this but i know warrior by far excels in dps/survivability/healing and beat rangers in ranged damage with rifle(kill shot).

Some players see things black/white safest thing to do is to use all you’re 5 character slots and make 5 different professions level them to 80 then change back/fourth as they become useless due to forum QQ.

Disagree its only 3000 should be longer because they have only 1 pet and they have to use it they don’t get any advantage of putting it on avoid combat.

Increasing attack speed in GW1 was capped to 33% and that was a sweet spot for a DPS increase.

You cannot compare it with ias in gw1 because there you had +1000 combinations per profession here you have 5? not counting utilities with a ridiculously long cooldown. Agree this was a lazy fix at least they could decrease cooldown by like 50% to compensate.

Dagger mainhand is the highest damage in the entire game so you know sword is more for aoe.

Boon Hate

Apparently that’s what they are suppose to do. Use boons to make up for all of their weaknesses. So because of that reason, they are working as intended.

The problem is not with guardian I’d say, but its with elementalist. Its similar to what the devs said in the interview in regards to thief’s mobility. That ele is in fact more mobile than them. Which is true. So in that respect, you can also say that ele is equally as good as being a boon warrior than guardian is, while having things that guardian does not aka mobility and ways to escape combat.

So in short, the guardian class is being punished for the imbalance of ele. Which isn’t right. As noted in the interview, they are the jack of all trades class. Meaning they can do everything but can’t excel at anything in particular. What should really be done is rebalancing ele so that statement is true and not nerfing boons.

Oh please, most guardians I’ve seen are nigh immortal with such little effort it’s laughable.

Where did you see these? the truth is in pvp the only build they can run is bunker
aka meatshield.
In wvw they can be kited crippled and nailed down without even going close i killed a guardian with my ranger when it was level 33.
My Theif , Ranger , Elementalist perform way better than my guardian in wvw.
This is not only about skill. As soon as you run in melee you get focused & spiked but what are you gonna do about it? wall of reflection? this skill is a joke in wvw.
None ever get hit by it. Full clerics and only defensive traits?. My theif can hit bunkers for 9k+ so damage mitigation don’t help that much.

Keep downed state in wvw but make it so you cannot res any downed/dead player if in combat so you cannot outres the dmg if you get attacked.

Boon Hate

When thieves get this it will be impossible for a guardian to stop them. Except maybe glass cannons. probably warrior also because they beat guardian in almost everything but boons is not one of them. Guardian is my least enjoyable class to use in wvw after this change it will probably be useless also.

You cannot come with suggestions to nerf stealth in pvp. Without suggestions on how to buff them in other things to compensate. Give all other classes a skill that reveal any nearby theif will destroy the class. Stealth is not that gamebreaking as some of you make it out to be. They are often not even used in tournaments for a good reason.

As long as it cost gems to change server guesting have to stay. And overflow in dragon events its annoying indeed. maybe they could sync the dragon spawn with the server you was in before that or something.

The answer could be pets. With the latest patch it removed any usefulness to the skill “Guard” from Rangers. Rangers really have no unique or really useful purpose in WvW. If a pet could sniff out stealthed enemies and continue to track the target, Rangers would have a purpose.

If this is about balance, this suggestion would help in multiple ways.

Yeah, they should add them to the laurel vendor for :-
*100 laurels
*500,000 karma
*50 gold
*650 badges
*36 guild commendations
*750 tokens from each dungeon
*3 bloodshards
*1000 fractal relics
*50 pristine fractal relics
*100 of each type of lodestone
And *50 of each t6 mat.

This should keep things in-line with other aspects of this game, and would maybe be quicker than playing for years in another game… But probably not.

Honestly, if people are still interested in this game, Anet should just give them what they want..

This will never happen. these bonuses were announced years before gw2 were released. if you want them its only one way to get them and that is go play gw1.

No matter how easy you think it is to do guild missions. Don’t tell me it take skills to win in wvw. its all a numbers game. If they made some drastic changes so wvw was about individual skills then i would love this but its not like that. Permastealth theif is the only counter to coward sheep herd play in wvw. And therefor so many come on the forum and want it nerfed. but right now the game favor numbers over everything else in wvw and the rewards should be there after period.

People running around in WvW without stunbreaker or stability are hilarious.

I’m one of them and guess what? it works. I got tickled by 1 sec aoe fear by a necro yesterday. No reason to bring any defense to this. Those who run full bunker in wvw well yea they are hilarious. take a little longer to kill but is also no threat at all. So can let them live until the big guns is taken down.

Skipping In Dungeons And Other Improvements

Agreed on the skipping mobs argument.

1. Make mobs have no de-aggro range, make them chase you all over the dungeon.

2. Make all dungeon bosses drop 10 tokens.

3. Emphasize trash as more lucrative – dungeon trash mobs should always drop something.

4. Lock the doors. One thing WoW did right in their dungeons is they forced the combat arena. A boss area should be walled off like the Lornar fight in FOTM.

5. Fix Bugs – I know, ever-ongoing, but there are still plenty of glitches out there that people take advantage of.

Are you serious? running past a mob is a exploit to you? how about just delete all skills but autoattack how fun is that going to be the others are exploits or what?? if you want to kill those mobs that much then do it who is stopping you.

Guesting is ruining this game

The predecessor had something called districts where players could travel where ever they wanted without any restrictions and waypoint fees. this was working perfectly. just because guesting allow players to play together doesn’t mean it ruin the game. Latency is a server problem end of story.

They pick these because of favoritism. Heavy armor means their more likely to survive. After they got one then they might pick you so don’t come on the forums and QQ because there is some distinct differences between the professions. Fractals could be done with any profession if players know what to do. So this is not a matter of balance.

I did ac p1 with a lvl 30. Any mob did hit me for 80% of my hp some 1 hit.
but one attack from me hitted for 2% of their hp. i felt like i just leeched trough the whole thing. And not surprisingly i died a lot. i was doing this with my guild. until you provide evidence on this i simply don’t believe you. its easy to see why everyone favor lvl 80s for this dungeon.
If you are going AC use a lvl 80 character or you’re going to be the weak link that don’t contribute at all.

Using a level 30 character is going to severely kitten you. A level difference of 5 between you and enemy mobs is going to ensure that almost every attack you make is a Glancing Blow, which does 50% damage in addition to the reduced damage you’d do to them with a level 30’s attack rating against a level 35’s armor. Use a level 35 character that’s properly geared, then come back and talk.

I don’t think i go there with any character not level 80 again. i just wanted to try and see how well i did. And yea i guess this 5 levels make a big difference.

66% is balanced for spvp but not wvwvw? you can’t treat wvwvw like pve because it has enemies. it is a pvp zone for all that it has random pve stuffed in. it needs to be balanced around pvping.

The e-sports arena is spvp thats where their main focus of balancing is. w3 was intended to be one gigantic chaotic zergfest its a pve zone. You cannot even talk to the invaders.

These are all cosmetics and if you like them so much then thats exactly what you should do grind for them in gw1. these are all bonus items for players that liked gw1. Some played it for 7 years. the only advantage you get is a ring that is useful from lvl 1-20. i wish heritage armor came in different versions. and black widow had the same health as the other spiders. In my opinion they should lock hall of monuments account linking so these items mean you was actually a gw1 player.

What i would like to see is reputation voting for commanders because some of the commanders I’ve seen is just terrible. like trying to capture SM with 20 players only to get slaughtered by 150+ players and with terrible attitude. I think a vote up/down system would make things better if there is several commanders you can choose who to follow. a commander with a lot of good reputation is likely to know what he/she is talking about.

Warrior, Necromancer 18,372
Engineer, Ranger, Mesmer 15,082
Guardian, Thief, Elementalist 10,805

Guardian will have the worst survival because they lack the mobility of a elementalist and the stealth of a theif. how the kitten is this a fair nerf? any profession can stack toughness this sacrifice other abilities.
And heavy armor make almost no difference. If you don’t stack toughness there is no difference.

You do realize this is a heavy nerf to guardian right? this is why they have so low health pool because they rely on boons to stay alive so the only way for this to healthy for the game is to give them the base hp of a warrior.

I don’t like this. It will just create a whole new level of being selective in dungeons. Some players would like to keep their build private and privacy should be respected. You can always ask another player to link their equipment and then its their choice to do it or not. Don’t like it? then don’t play with them.
