Decided to pug fractals again. Guys were listening and were doing good until we reached Mai Trin where it turned out to be a disaster. Thanks to the best tank EU (Earth ele) we managed to pull it off and the RNGods decided to reward me yet again. I’m never doing a guild fractals run anymore, long live pugs!

After 29 pug in which I had to switch among all of my 80s in order to complete it, I’d say that the reward is kinda worth it for the first time.

Raethe, I’d be happy to have that list, send it to me, please.

I’d also be happy if we can upload such a list on a place where it won’t break the rules of naming people in public so everyone can have access to it.

I honestly don’t get why usernames need to be concealed from the public. They all deserve to go on a naughty list that all GW users can see so they can avoided at all costs. More importantly, save people from the same unfortunate outcome of having solo’d a dungeon and having it stolen from them.

I support this so much. Everyone should be forced to carry out the consequences of one’s actions. Thing is … even if you know that a given person will overtake your instance there’s not much you can do – blocking him/her won’t ban him from joining your party.

And yes, I think that’s a bug, Cletus, please report it so that they can remove the ascended chests from the rewards table with the upcoming fractals reset.

It was in phase 3, I was inside of his hitbox and the normal projectiles attack still hit me. :C

So … I decided to pug Arah path 4 after I saw a party up for it. Turned out that all the fellas on it are first-timers. I thought, why not, I can be helpful if they listen. So we took off and I was explaining them what to do and where. Everything went pretty well except for wiping once at Lupi (can’t blame it on them since I failed to solo myself). The guys were really friendly and were listening to everything I was saying.

We spent 2 hours and a half inside and the Bloodstone was just getting down to 10% hp when I thought it’d be nice to tell them I enjoyed the run and thank them for listening carefully to me. Just as I started typing, my electricity went out …. I will be honest and I’ll admit that I felt like crying.

Well, Novaan invited me for 40 fractals … and had to carry me through. sigh

Decided to pug 19 fractals. Worth it.

In my opinion 5 AR is recommended to have for fractals between level 10 and 19.

Apart from that, higher level fractals offer better reward as in tokens but the difference isn’t that big anyway. Sitting in the 1-9 tier, if you don’t like fractals that much, would probably take a month and a half or so to get the level 3 skin Fractal Capacitor back.

Well, it’d have been good if my posts were as half as meaningful as the post count itself, it’s true that most of them are not helpful at all and those which are, don’t posses half the knowledge one of the veteran players around have.

I decided I want to get the Inci but since this will take me at least 6 months or more to do, I’m really hoping to get the fractals dagger nowadays; it’d be a fresh change to my looks.

I did the opposite, after 4 months without a fractal dagger, I gave up and decided to make an Incinerator lol.

Oh, lol, I was trying to convince myself that my RNG won’t be THAT unlucky but I must be realistic and admit that it’s very likely that I’ll either get it at the time I get the Inci or wont get it at all, lol.

PS: It’s super nice to be able to post that often on here again :o I’m pretty bored to just refresh the landing page of the forums and see that there’s nothing new on this sub-forum :<

And now to the thievery part – my general concern is that … I kinda feel useless as a thief. Well, except for the blast this field for stealth and hide in my shadow refuge part. As a person who mains an ele, I’m used to do a lot of stuff and provide party wide support in the face of various boons, CC, projectiles destruction and reflects, conjures and last but not least the best tank EU (Earth ele). As a thief I feel … useless :< I want to exactly learn which utilities and traits are useful for the different encounters because personally to me, it doesn’t seem very useful to just swap out my power signet for smoke screen and the other way around.

And of course I’m full zerker kazul. c:

Can anyone recommend me good thief guides or POV streams? I really want to get into playing my thief but I fear that just swapping utilities around and running 6/6/0/0/2 might not be the optimal build and way of playing a thief. Thanks in advance c:

Story mode dungeons are bound to the personal story of each character, it’d indeed be awesome to have that, but it wouldn’t make much sense.

In the days of people soloing the hardest dungeons in this game, we have people asking for dungeons that require more people to complete.

I run longbow on my warrior ever since I got the fractals skin. Come look at dem scrubz raging lulz.

Me and a couple of friends were actually practicing for this however due to RL reasons on my side I let them down. I don’t think they found a fifth so that’s one team less to participate. My hope is that there are still a couple of new teams out there that are just too shy to register just yet and would do it before the deadline.

As Ropechef said above, chance for winning might be really small or non-existing in first place, but I’m sure the fun that everyone would have while doing this, would be sufficient.

No, people can walk up to the dungeon entrance and first start “Story Mode”, then complete it, then repeat but this time open “Explorable Mode”. Then people use the LFG and state they’re newbies and they need help. Party gets full, you do the instance, everyone’s happy.

Seriously, after reading the forums during the last couple of days I’m actually starting to wonder if ANet actually saw a good reason behind dumbing down the leveling and player experience…

Edit: And just before you demonize me, I’m not a path seller but a player who had and still occasionally has his deal of pugging dungeons. Telling me people can’t get into playing given content because of sellers or whatever other reason is just a poor excuse for people’s laziness to learn or work their way through.

Have you asked yourself if the “majority of players” wants to truly experience this content? If one wants to really do something, one finds a way. My first run in Arah was on path 3 and we spent nearly 4 hours inside but we eventually did it and this didn’t put me off, and yes, I put up my own LFG (wow, hax!). The fact that people don’t do something because of this and that doesn’t mean they cannon do it.

I also don’t do PvP and WvW but this doesn’t mean there’s problem with those, right?

you know you can swap around between it and the signet of fire, right? Use it only when you’re doing skips or running to some other part of the dungeon.

I think I’ve never heard of such an issue related to CoF before but then again I’m pretty new myself. You might want to submit a ticket to helpdesk and see if they can help you out with any information on what’s going on.
