Trying to get the nomad trinkets from the achievements and I am stuck at the gates of Magnum Zephyr’s Leap and Zephyr’s Ascent ones and I tried for 3 hours and could not make it up that stupid pile of bamboo . So I was wondering can any Mesmer help me out?

Now I’ve been wondering about what ANET plan to do with Traeharne. What I think would be a cool twist is that he joins Mordremoth and leads an army of Slyavir against you in HOT. It leads to a massive fight were at the end of it you stomp Traeharne. What do you guys think?

So I was wondering why can’t we glide in the older maps. I know one person says it to keep people from braking out of the map, but people do that anyways. I know another reason is to make people want to buy hot, but again if its just for the new maps then it does not really effect players who are not gonna buy the expansion anyways. Now I know it could change or they could announce that we can, but I just wanna know why cant we you going to add a feature that is only good in like what 3 maps and not the rest of the game?

If you aren’t happy, don’t buy it. If you are happy, buy it. If ANET sees not enough sales going through, they will revise or reduce price or some such. If sales are solid, they won’t.

Either way, make what decision is best for you. But I swear, all this rage is just mind-boggling. Seriously, if I’d said “wow this is too expensive,” you know what I would do? I wouldn’t buy it. Maybe I’d move to another game.

I sure wouldn’t spend all this time on a forum shaking with virtual rage and vomiting my venom for all to read and see. Way I figure it, the company will do whatever they will do, and I’ll decide at that point whether its worth my time and money or not.

Everyone knows that making a good game is not cheap think of how many people do you need to pay just for developing the content:

- Software Architects
- UI Designers
- Software engineers
- Testers
- 3D Animators

and people upper the food chain , managers marketing specialists and so on
for a software developer the average salary is 70k$ in US of course if youre a specialist then you earn more.

I think there was at least 100 people involved in creating the content so 7mill$ just for the developers which means that at current price at least 140000 people need to buy the standard edition just to pay the developers creators:D
Of course 50$ is not cheap but everything has a cost i followed the HOT announcements and if you look at all the changes what are developed during this time you will understand hopefully that it isn’t cheap.
Secondly Wow is not like GW. They have different model. (P2P vs B2P) and if you start to think of the Financial part Wow 1 Year is 120$ + Expension which was 20-50$. But if you buy this expension for 50$ now or maybe it will be cheaper in the future you don’t have to spend another dime on your account.

From the content part i think we will get more content in this expension the in an expension in WOW withouth the nneed to grind another 10 levels and grind for new gear. It’s much harder to acquire gear in GW then in WOW but the gear is way more valuable.

It has 3 different editions you can buy which one suites you better, nothing is forced on you.

I really think and advice everyone whining to stop, because they’re just overloading the servers and it doesn’t help anyone with it.
Complaining about the price won’t make it go lower, eventhough I have to admit I’m part of European countries where the average monthly salary doesn’t fit in the common rank of the European salaries, it is -quarter- of it, therefore the game would be rather overly expensive, however, stop crying and if you aren’t entirely dedicated to the game, don’t -pay- for the expansion.

And here is why, ever since you anounced an expansion you said you needed to have GW2. After that you have done tons of sales, we though to give people the opportunity to still pick up the game for a good price before HoT came out. Undoubtfully those discounts have given you lots and lots of sales. And now the cat is out of the bag, you pretty much ripped all those people off. They did not at all need GW2 because its part of the expansion(nice example of false advertising there). All those people that bought the game ever since the HoT expansion have been fooled by you, thats why you are making an kitten out of yourself.

Probably one of the damage control responses here will be the same as on reddit, yeah byut talk to out CS and we will work it out. You know as well as I that only a very small minority will do so, making it so that you still look like a good guy cause you ‘refund’ them, while it was just a calculated decision you will still make tons of money out of all those people you fooled that did notrequest a refund, the nice guy is just a facade for the real plan, getting some quick and easy cash before the expansion.

What is even worse though is that you made an kitten out of me, and probably many other GW2 fans who convinced people to still buy GW2 in that period, because we convinced them to buy the game and get basicly scammed by you guys. You used your loyal players and made them look like an kitten for wanting to bring their friends to the game, only to make it out to be a bad deal for easy money. Arenanet I feel used.

You know what? I might have, with difficulty, at least have purchased the $50 expansion if it was just expansion and another set of core + expansion was priced at $70 or something.

I am ok with the price of the expansion, I have no complaint on that part. I put about 20 to 30$ in this game monthly without any regret, I have purchased 3 extra character slots to have each class. The core game came with 5 slots which is also fine, it was my decision to add more to that and was happy to dish out the money for it.

Now the part where I state my point, I have been giving you money on a daily basis even tho it is not a pay to play model, the fact that you aren’t even giving at least one slot to try out the new class is like releasing a game where you have to buy your character to play it. I am still baffled that after all the money I put in to your game a character slot is a luxury for you guys. I am not from the US, buying your expansion plus a character slot would be about 70$ for me which is ridiculous.

Now the sad part, you prefer losing a customer base who are buying regularly on the black lion with real money because you guys want the extra 10$ on a character slot and not offering it to your loyal players.

I am trying to craft Infinite light, I got all the stuff to make it beside the stones. I know them kitten stones are whats keep a lot of you guys from crafting lots of things in this game. So is there any place to farm them with any success? I been grinding away in dungeons to save up the money to get them and I’ve done so many dungeons im about to bleed from the eyes.

I know you all still floored about the news over the death of one of our most beloved members of our community the ICEBOW. Now I know most of us will probably take awhile to morn our friend.
