They could easily have postponed the new trick till 2015. The golem mastery was already so much win.
Well we still have not see all that these feature pack has to offer. This is suppose to be a wvw/spvp focused one. The commanded tag and tricks were only a small part hopefully.
Yesterday they talked about balance. Today they talked about the golem mastery and the new trick. Tomorrow they’ll talk about the commander’s tag new collors and it’s stupid price. And thursday they’ll talk about something called “prepare to fight”. There’s nothing scheduled for friday.
I think it’s pretty much it: new tag collors that noone with half a brain will buy for 300g, golem mastery and a new trick. The balance is not WvW-only, so I’m not even counting it.

They don’t work on WvW because it doesn’t make enough money or WvW doesn’t make enough money because they don’t work on it?
Because, imho, I see a LOT of wasted potential.
My 2 cents: if Anet is not willing to solve the population unbalance between servers, so just shut down like 16 servers and put the players on the 8 servers that remains. Ah, and put new names on the remain servers, because people will cry about servers been favored, even though it’s a whole new community.
There. Now there’s competitivity (is this a real word?), there’s always fair battles, and WvW is healthy again.
I’m have the feeling that this “competitive week update” will be just about sPVP and one or two minor WvW update.
LOL, if it’s just so the people don’t get confused with the tags on the map, it’s literally an T1 and an occasionally T2 update. It’ll be laughable. All other servers are lucky when they have one tag in one map.
That reminds me of my time in BP. This worlds (servers) system needs to go.
I have some videos of people cheating. If u guys need it for your montage, just ask =D
T1 is what you’re looking for.
I hope that it’ll be used for some big awesome WvW changes ad.
I’ve some footage at home, will see what I can do when I get there from work.
I understand what devon said about spreading out the playerbase, I agree. Only t1 would have enough population to spread over 5 maps. But what you should do is make a rotation. Create a new map and have it rotate with eternal bl.
There’s no queue outside reset night on BG and TC. T1 doesn’t even has the population to fill T1.
ANet is kitteng kitten up. To delete critics posts is something almost unreal.
I was in BP for almost a year, now I’m in T1 for a month. T1 has real WvW. T4~T5 hasn’t. It’s like a completely new game. And forget about “oh my god, it’s just 250 men blob everywhere in a lag fest!!1!eleven!!”. It offers everything. You can roam, you can havoc, you can have large scales fights. 24/7.
T1, and from what i heard T2, are what WvW is supposed to be.
We don’t even need an ETA. A simply “we are working on something we think you guys will like” would suffice.
Coming from Ultima Online this would be amazing.
Kids these days can’t handle that kind of hardcore MMO. Imagine what would happen if you lose your loot when you die.
Ah, the thrill of being in open world with full adamantium armor and weapons, knowing that you would lose it all if someone killed you.
It’s such poor management in customer relationship. Anet’s lucky is that there isn’t any other good RvR game available right now. But when that changes…
Cut some zeros. That’s really hard work right there.
That gates of something wasn’t LS stuff?
Any T1 server will have tons of people for you to zerg with. BG and TC both could use more people. JQ already has way too many people, but is also a good choice for you, since they have a 60+ zerg on all maps almost all the times.
TC would steamroll the other servers in T2. Would be less funny than now.
t1 comedy material
all tc’s guilds would quit the game realizing how terrible they are at the game, one after the other as they get one pushed by t2 guilds half their size
Which was exactly what happened in Season 2...wait…
A 1 up 1 down system would see BG rotate out more often than TC, just by last month’s results and as such, would affect(positively or negatively) us more than you. It would also make population adjustments rather painful.
I’m not really that upset about the 2v1, made over 300g during the last 2 T1 matchups in s2 and made BG stronger as a community because of it, which is part of the reason we’re still getting tons of transfers(individuals as well as guilds) even though we have mostly come 3rd in the matchup.
I wouldn’t have a problem with BG rotating more than TC. I would just like to face different servers every once in awhile.
I said you were salty about the 2v1 because every time TC is mentioned, either on this forum or the other (maybe both), you bring up the 2v1. And I figured you guys were coming in 3rd because you simply weren’t trying? TC has never had a larger population than BG.
You wouldn’d be facing a different server, you would be spawn camping them. Any T2 server would be steamrolled in T1.
I for one would sure have a problem with BG going to T2. I don’t want to roflstomp the two others servers (because of coverage disparity) and have nothing to do the rest of the week.
The last 4 weeks:
First Places: JQ three times, BG one time
Second Places: TC three times, JQ one time
Third Places: BG three times, TC one time
If we apply the S2 score system (1st gets 5 points, 2nd gets 3 points and 3rd gets 1 point):
JQ: 16 points
TC: 10 points
BG: 8 points
Why would TC not belong in T1, when it is doing even better than BG overall? We all know that both servers would just kitten kitten up in T2, they don’t belong there. If there’s something “wrong” in T1, it would be JQ, but I really don’t mind their chinalike population, it provides a lot of fun fights.
The secret is to stop worring about PPT. It’s a stupid system that just measures one server’s population.
TC would steamroll the other servers in T2. Would be less funny than now.
It’s mind-blowing that players need to get out of their ways to implement something that should have been available since the beginning.
First closed beta will starts next week. Just got an email about it.
I remember for the past , oh say, since launch the t2 servers would hardcore and I mean severely make fun of t1 for queues. They would say enjoy sitting and waiting etc with blobs etc. Im sure most people know.
Id love to see a screenshot of T2 NA Prime queues if there are any because as most of the people here can tell you, t1 is no longer queued almost anytime besides reset.
Maybe if a few guild groups decide to group on 1 map itll have a short queue, but the only reason they all group to one BL is because the other BL has literally 0 people and they just get outnumbered. So they would split up but because of the lack of people, they queue 1 borderland to ensure they can help each other. However, its never a huge queue.
So has t2 NA queues finally be longer than t1 NA queue? if so or even if its semi close, or even if they have the same numbers during NA, doesnt this make them the ultimate hypocrits
Short answer is no.
T2 has always been intentional. T2 servers are run by guild groups who only play the game to fight other guild groups. They only care enough about PPT to stay in the tier where there are fights, which is and always has been T2.
T1 on the other hand are servers run mostly by pugs who care only for PPT. And since they are in T1, other pugs also join it because they think PPT actually matters and it is ‘the best servers, cus ppt’ which is hilarious in its own right. So in the end of the week, you’ll have massive blobs of pugs running around these T1 maps. And since other puppies join the server they get a lot of coverage as well, something T2 servers do not have to the same extend.
And then you also have T1 guilds, which is really just a group of puppies under the same tag who then start to talk as if they can actually fight lol, as if they wouldn’t get one pushed by any t2 guild.
T2 is not a coincidence, it’s a server mentality. Look at mag for instance, that server will never leave t2. If there is any chance mag will go up to T1, they will literally open all their towers and keeps for you just to sit in open field and watch you karma train it all day.
People in T1 and T2 play the game for very different reasons. T1 is nothing but ppt puppies and T2 are guilds who just want to fight other guilds.
But then of course you have the puppy T1 guilds who actually think they are good at the game, which is the best comedy material to have been produced in guild wars
And yet, I wonder how they didn’t one pushed the T1 server’s they fought in S2 to the point that the massive mindless and skilless blobs would just rage quit in face of T2 guild’s mighty, leaving them with a free path to the glorious victory.
Nine weeks, and seens that godlike gvg skills wasn’t enough to make the blob’s rage quit after the 105th consecutive defeat…
Let’s be fair, 50vs20 is always going to be very one sided
That just mean that they might need one extra push. U are not an especial T2 guild for nothing.

I would get more ram. The rest is fine.
Gratz. Silver League is pretty dead, though.
Maybe if we all spam gw2’s official twitter, asking for some devs attention to this subforum. Maybe with all the complaints and bad propaganda, they could visit us here.
Some great ideas there. Too bad that it would take years for Anet to be able to implement just one of them. If it takes them 1 year to make just one new WvW map…
I’m sure they can.
I’m in BG right now, and as others have said above, there’s almost never a queue in T1. Also, there’s plenty of fights to have here, 24/7. I’m not at home now, but I’ve an awesome screenshot of 3 simultaneous fights with a giant blob (can’t remember if it was JQ or TC) from last night. There was 3 BG’s guilds, and the enemy blob literally splited in 3 to fight each guild separately. Was glorious, like a battlefield was meant to be.
Anyway, BG or TC would be a good choice too (JQ already has a lot of people).
What we need is three alliances. My signature shows the way.
Rank 600+ and one ascended armor chest (with useless stats).
At this point in time it just seems to make sense to cluster the remaining people into however many servers required. Perhaps there only needs to be 6-8 as opposed to 24 to have decent match-ups 24/7.
They don’t even need to do that. Just make the borderlands like eotm and start with one instance of it. As it fills up spawn a new instance to get more players into. All the green servers get paired together, all the red, all the blue.
No, not a perfect solution but it would keep the maps full, and the fights going. Since they’ve released the mega-server there’s not really any server pride to be worried about.
You really don’t get it. This is a horrible idea. People like seeing familiar faces in WvW. They like playing with the same people. The EotM structure is horrible for that.
They need a new map. We haven’t had a new WvW map since launch (EotM is a PvE karma train map and is way too unbalanced to ever be in WvW). People are bored with the same 2 maps every week.
No, people like to go in and fight other players. Who they fight or what server they are fighting against/representing in the fight doesn’t matter. People wvw to fight other players. Most people couldn’t care less about what map they fight on. Sure a new map would be nice and fresh for a week or three but at the end of the day people don’t really care about the map itself. They care to consistently get good solid fights.
This. But instead of colors, I’d prefer a three-way alliance system.
Having the reset on an American national holiday shook things up a bit. It’ll be more interesting in the upcoming days.
This pic is just lame. U are a T 2.5 server, u get ur kitten kicked in T2, u should know how that feel to be spawn camped. Do that to a much less populated server, knowing how morale breaking that is, is just plain stupid.
Kill scouts first. their blinds ruin your dps if you leave them alone.
This is the whole secret.
Add a filter for the type (light, medium or heavy) of armor on the TP.
Looks like they don’t really care. Well, I won’t miss my sleep over it as well.
Maybe put it on youtube, so at least everybody could watch it and see who is the guy and laugh at him.
Been encountering a lot of roamers in WvW using hacks like auto-heals (even in downed states without rallying out of nothing) and multi hits (combat chat registers multiple damage hits in one hit) lately in our tiers.
I’m not requesting that ANET do anything about it as i’m sure their too busy but can anyone suggest any easy to use and free software to record these for posterity?
Thanks in advance!
Ok, so I’m not crazy. That warrior I just downed without anyone or anything else around doesn’t have some skill or trait unknown to me that allowed him to instantly self-revive (not talking about Vengeance, I mean instantly). I’ve been seeing this a lot lately.
Also, if you use MSI Afterburner (and everyone should!) it has a very good built-in utility for recording ingame footage.
Sounds like he rally.
I heard that there’s an email to sendo videos of people hacking. I got an speed hacking guy in video, and I even reported him, on video, for ‘spamming’, so It will very easy to find him. All Anet has to do is to check a reported from me.
So, anyone knows what is the email address?
What happen to dragon brand in wvwvw we use to be one of the top pvp servers what are we doing wrong….
In T3 now, and it has got it’s skills back.
Gotta love this coverage wars.
Same here, and it’s just in WvW. It’s just fine in pve maps.
The best and simplest solution is to get rid of the servers and create 3 alliances. The player will choose one alliance for his account and fight the other alliances using the megaserver’s tech. The numbers would be even in every instance, the megaserver’s tech would put u in the same instance as your friends and guildies, and would still be some form of pride to be fighting for.
From my BP time, I just remember you guys having tons of people when others servers were a wasteland. Maybe the servers you are facing now happens to have more people than you do…
99% the time, the loot from lootbags worths less than selling the bag on TP. It’s just stupid.
As it’s right now, I’m just selling the bags for 5s a piece.
Funny thing is that u dont get kitten from being first. 6(?) extra chests of garbage. Someone that doesn’t know better might thing that people will get awesome rewards for being first on that week’s match-up.
