Dought thats gonna happen but id love to see it happen. The fractal team is a small one so i cant see them adding so many weapons with each fractal. (kinda sad if you think that fravtals are the pve endgame contend for the majority of ppl in the game so it should have a respective personel)

well, a living breathing world can be done without big announcements, if the areas don’t depend on hearts and dynamic events it would be more dynamic.
for instance, events could happen without anyone knowing about it, when events fail things could change in the map that advances an attack.an example:
centaurs attack a town, when the town is overrun they try to fortify the town for their own, ones fortified they continue on to the next town and do the same.
that way the world is ever changing, the players can change all that by taking on the centaurs, destroy the fortifications and by driving them back.
this will make the world really dynamic because of something really simple, as long as players are not around enemy NPC’s can just take over tyria.to me hearts are blank and boring, they just stand there and ones it’s done the area is depending on events to run, otherwise the area is just useless and has nothing to offer.
the living world we have isn’t really true right now, without the kind of events i am talking about (without all the bells and whistles attached on it) GW2 will just be an empty world without really anything to do.
What you are suggesting is kind of a meta tbh and theres nothing wrong with that but it doesnt make for a living world it makes for a dynamic map.
A lw update is one where the player goes around the world, events have impac bigger than the map they take place in. Events can even caise a map to change both the forts that were attacked by mordry and la as well as the vines and the events in the charr maps.
Se3 so far is just a numbers of event happening on a map and having no effect what so ever on the outside world. The current event kinda reduced that but i suppose making more decorations is more importand than having a living and evolving world.

You’re not wrong, but no single class does remotely enough DPS to beat out applying quickness to an entire subgroup currently, and somehow I doubt ANet is ever going to make something that strong without immediately nerfing it.
I dought that a chrono with quickness on 5 ppl gives more than 20-25 k dps. But still, quickness is a unique effect. An effect worth its own spec tbh who says they cant have a new spec for lets say guard be supporty deal more personal dmg thanks to the lack of alacrity while pulsing out quickness. Values will be the same between the specs for balance’s sake and bam no more chronos.
It used to show something pre hot be it dedication or w/e fractals skins were rare and had value. Now one can just go in with no experience in fractals whatsoever poor his wallet and have all the fractaks skills (both normal ones and gold ones). Speakimg of the purple ones they can have it as the new hot thing of the expac. They introduce fractal leaderboards and the pll who clear fast enough to get to top 2 clear speed get to choose 1-2 weapon each. If anet dislikes the idea of soloing stuff.

I doubt they’d do Magdaer – if Magdaer will ever become a player weapon skin (if it even can be since it’s technically supposed to look like Sohothin and the Fiery Dragon Swords from the HoM), it’ll likely be in the same manner as Caladbolg.

The “living and breathing” world that was advertised at game release didn’t last long, as others pointed out. It wasn’t successful and probably can never be successful as concept, because the pace of the developers creating content wasn’t compatible with the pace players consume content.
If you provide short-lived one-time content, the players feel forced to play that content while it is available. But they might not always be ready to play it during that time, and this causes dissatisfaction. A player might currently have no time to play at all, or he wants to play other stuff first, or he doesn’t have a character available that is fit to play the new stuff. Whatever it is, there are many more reasons.
If I look in retrospect, I was not ready to play some of the LS1 instances. I didn’t have a proper build, equipment, and understanding of game mechanics. I was a really bad player, and my guild friends as well. Since at least the Nightmare Tower, the instanced content became too difficult for us. But I had to play this story now, because next week it would be gone. I wasn’t given time to postpone it and learn and develop my playing skills instead. This caused frustration and lead me to abandon some of the LS1 story and made me not play the game at all for some time.
In comparison to that, a game with slowly growing static content is always there for the players to play as a whole, at exactly the pace the player chooses to play it.
This is what we have now, and it is much adaptable for the players, and for the flow of new players as well. It is open for new players, while the LS1-world style isn’t appealing for new players. It’s confusing at best. With that LS1 concept, I always wondered why Arenanet didn’t seem to cater for new players – all they did was trying to keep the current players in the game, but acquiring new ones to keep the playerbase fresh doesn’t seem a marketing or development goal.
We dont need se1 style of content to have a living breathing world. Se2 was the best of both world it provided long lasting content and the world changed and evolved with update.
unranked pvp id suggest a build that focushes on spammimg mantras to buff your dmg and then bursting with gs. As for dungeons hmm idk tbh i havent run alot of dungeons with gs to suggest you something good, since 2 weapons usually are more versitile than 1.
the stealth > gs2 > blink > f3 stun > gs3 > mind rek > gs5-4 weap swap sw3-2 is a pretty nasty combo but if you can break stun fast enough and dodge you will be fine. every class has their combo that if dodged your odds of winning go way up. war is headbutt, guard is f1 pull, rang is lb knockback/pet, necro is reap shroud fear>stun>spin to win.
Ehh i start with sword 3 the torch 4 then swap gs2 blink f1-f3-f2 and gs3. I usually blink and perform gs2 befoere reveal so i hit them with prestige and i get the 3 man shatter. (sw clone gs clone and me).

It is a concern, but then again can they really do the ED’s justice? Zhaitan looked cool, but felt too small and the fight was a disaster. Of all the things to rush in a game, a central protaganist should never have been one of them.
Mordremoth was a lot better visually, but the fight outside was rather….tame. Sure we could say it was distracted by the mental battles, but the lead up to him was far more dangerous and it felt a tad anti-climatic.
Apart from this weird metaphysical story of balancing magic out because…“reasons”, these are primordial threats and shouldn’t be killed off. Look at the Mythos stuff – the big nasties are ever present.
I’m not saying they shouldn’t appear, but fighting and killing them off removes much of their mystique.
I expected primordus to be a huge as dragon sticking our of a ground standing there like a montain and you and other 100 players aa him while he does 180 swipes that 1shot and breathes fore makimg half the battleground a kill zone. Meanwhile there are a kitten tone of mobs spawning to kill you and there alot of kitten going on inthe sky.
As for mordy i also consider the mouth fight to be sewhat of a part to it.
the third rule reminds me of the soldier’s eles and ravager’s necro that will join your group pretending to be zerker and viper respectivelly.

Long ago, 5 player teams were a separate queue. Perhaps because of the high volume of complaints about match waits, that queue was combined with the solo queue.

By having 2 dual specs that theres hugely chance to NOT WORK 75% the that times , because your ANTI-CONDTION secondary spec , wont have the extra mobility to counter the Thief or the Mesmer portal
Whatever happens YOU WILL BE FORCED TO CHANGE SLIGHTLY your secondary or primary spec all the times .
Or if these specs happens to be so OP ,you wont ever need to change them , so they must be nerfed
You cant run and change fast the build for situations. If i can have one build ill just pick the one that fits most situations. If i can swap easily then i have more option.

Auto loot has a max range. If you die before the loot drops (op’s lazy problem) then every loot that drops wont be picked and when you isnta respawn you want be able to loot it automatically. I also cant see how it wont reduce the inactves since i would just afk in keep.

I dont disagree with that but something like “complete a cm once” doesnt cut it. Again id like a sign of prestige or dedication. Dedication is the easier of the 2 to add but id prefer prestige. But again running something as “solo the current cm” will be a grind in it self considering the amount of tries it will take to get it (for some), but kitten that i dont mind.
Lets be realistic. I would like this too but rn there are 10 va’s for english only let alone the rest of the va’s for other languages (so prob around 40?).
If we were to lets say add 1 more va for each race and sex that would mean 10 more va’s for english alone (and 40 more in general). Thats 80 va’s whch would be double the cost. In se3 where vacting is back we already see the tradeoff with less episodes in this season.

My suggestion is to NOT make them RNG grind fiesta like LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE in the game. Make the acquisition skill-based. CMs are fine, challenging achievements are fine, Queen Gauntlent-style gambits are fine, solo challenges (which you have to enter without party) are fine, but please, for the love of god, stop with the mindless RNG grind. For once I’d like to see an actual challenge in this game, challenge based on your skill, reactions and class knowledge. Not some stupid dice rolls that you have no control over whatsoever.

Id also be ok if they were a guarantee drop from soloing the 100cm bosses. But theres literally no problem with RNG so long as it doesnt block grear progression or power aquisition from yo (which neither happens n this game so…).

Give us the ability to by a pass or w/e in the genstore that unlocks a small questline to unlock x’s race’s skills on your current toon (sylvari skills on my human). That way making a sylvari you have their skills to select from and if you dont want to make a toon you can simply buy a pass to acess their skills.

No nececerally because havng one race holds value since the skills no longer are niche. The ability to pick from more racials is just for those who dont want to make a new race just for that and have the money. You will have the scenario tho where “this race s better for this this rac is better for that” if we go down this road.
Would this contest be completely hypothetical (as in no chance for the winning mobs to be in the new maps)? Because I kind of doubt they would be able to redo any current new mobs to put the winner’s mobs in.
They dont have to fill an entire area with said mod it can be a remote area and the mod to be 1 event to kill an elite :/ kinda like how the vampire mobs in hot are somewhat rare to find compaired to the rest of the mob in the hot maps

The same can be said of DH, War and pretty much every other class.
I wouldnt say gaurd or warr can delete you as fast as mesmer but then again mesmer has kinda long ish cd’s and noticable animations.
Guard and war can, headbutt into berserk, HB and arc divider to finish. Someone without any passives and 15-20k hp will be downed no matter which way you cut it. You know if we’re talking about the same people who have issues with power mes.
Guards have plenty of wombo combos, remember the old medi guard which used whirling wrath with JI and smite conditions to burst people down really fast?
I’m not saying these are good builds or that they’re OP just that many classes have skills and traits that allow for incredibly high amounts of damage in a short frame of time, even necro!

Why not make some contests, eh anet? You know normal stuff do a vid about the area the expac takes place or about ts lore and mosters. Or even better since the art work for gw2 has always been a draw for artists (new and old ones).
Why not open the floodgates and have a contest for artists or your playerbase to take part in and design monster concepts for mobs in the new zones ( or at least 1 new mob). Or a full weaponset that culd be drop from the areas or the respectful weapon of 1 zone even.
The winner gets gw2 swagg and rl swagg with a high end graphics card and other stuff for the rest who were close but didnt manage to be the winner.
That is true op but its also a matter of ho much focus you put on something. If we had a balance patch once every month or 3 weeks things would have been in a way better spot. The biggest issue rn is balance in the game (and well the fact that pvp is a cmpetitive enironment made for casual play).

I think there are a few other armors that do this Tex, or at least, a few outfits. In particular, the sentinel’s outfit is overly shinny and doesn’t dye well (contrast with Balthazar outfit which dyes well). However, the sentinel’s outfit does have fire effects which you can dye.
I’m deliberately making the distinction here between armor and outfits.
I cannot off the top of my head think of an armor that warps the color pallet this way. I can accept outfits doing it as they are unique and designed differently. However, armor should not do this.
Thel light legendary armor does this with the crystals. Also the glow in every legendary armor is undyeable.

Ye the fractal weapons just look so good with this darker tone and the purple glow. If they also had the black/purple effect and trail it would be just amazing. Im really digging this sort of corrupted look they have.
Meanwhile we already have the model so its not that muchh work and its a common practice for sab to get a recolour so far so why not. It would be extra cool if these were also “prestigious” and not a gold sink like what both the other colour versions ended up being.

But thats the thing flames of war isnt a laughable one the design is not legendary worthy but the legendary as a whole is not a joke. Stuff like shooshadoo are cleary a joke. Stuff like flames of warr are serious legendaries that just look bad and bad doesnt translate to joke.
Instead of releasing outfits, give us full armour set skins instead, like the way things were at launch with the Phalanx and Krytan armour sets etc. This might not seem like an issue, but the entire end game of GW2 is centred around cool looking skins. Being able to mix and match different armour set pieces is half the fun, and lets people get creative with their own unique looks. If the reason is clipping, it’s honestly not that big an issue. I’d rather have my own unique look that has slight clipping issues, than being forced to have the same boring look as everyone else.
No matter how good a released outfit, I always find at least ONE part I don’t like that prevents me from purchasing it. This wouldn’t be a problem if I wasn’t forced to go all or nothing. The wardrobe system was a brilliant implementation, however it’s potential is wasted through the mass production of sub-perfect outfits.
My thief has been wearing the same T3 Human coat for years. Make sets instead of outfits, please!

Here is your answer from Anet and the source:
Armor sets are by far the most expensive reward we can make. A full set includes heavy, medium, light, times five races, times two sexes, so it’s like developing 30 sets. It takes nine months to develop. (That’s for a normal armor set — legendary is much longer.) It’s not something we can do for Living World episodes. Individual pieces are good rewards for Living World episodes; full sets are more something for expansion packs.
Whoever stated that should have left out the races and sexes since those are the same for outfits. What really makes the difference is Light / Medium / Heavy and then each individual piece has to be tailored to be used with other armor besides that set.
I don’t like it either. I would at least like them to change the ratio to less outfits and more armor. But no more trenchcoats :P
meanwhile s2 had a full set of weapons and armor…
- Tank doesn’t mean anything in GW2 except having a little extra toughness to take boss aggro. It doesn’t mean you’re a fully defensive build.
- Chronomancers are taken primarily for Quickness, though Alacrity is also important. If you removed Alacrity, Chronomancers would still be taken for Quickness.
- Chronomancers have better defensive utility on pure DPS builds thanks to Distortion-share, Signet of Inspiration, and Well of Precognition compared to other classes.
- All of the other classes you mentioned pale in comparison to overall Chronomancer utility by a lot. You’d have to significantly beef up the other classes with offensive utility to rival a Chronomancer’s spot in raids. This could happen in the next expansion, by the way.

If without the alacrity a dps can deal as much dmg as the effective dmg the mesmer does then you can replace mesmer.
Mesmer deals little dmg but has evades and blocks for months and they provide massive boost to dps through alacrity and quickness. So, why not put mesmer to tank and a save a spot for a dps? Oh and distort is broken.
