Would much rather see an ‘all star’ game comprised of the ‘best’ players in NA vs the ‘best’ players in EU. Two teams. People who normally play together, suddenly teammates. I know it’d never happen, but it’d be fun to watch. Putting BG against anyone at this point is a folly.

No. The battle taking place on this map does not play into your server’s overall ppt/score. You won’t have to cover this map at all. It’s simply a place for folks to mess around while in queue, or when they just want a little stress-free WvW play.

Bummed to hear about IRON, I liked fighting them. Always kept you on your toes. IRON/SW garry gate OTP. SoR is a strong server and will rebound.

Trust me, working to cover our coverage gaps is something we’re always aiming to do. The main issue is that EU guilds, for the most part, don’t like to move to where they feel they will be expected to hold a time zone themselves. They want to run in their untagged deathball and do what they want. I have no problem with this, and encourage it, but then you still have to convince people you don’t expect them to be a PPT blob who sits behind ACs all day. The problem there becomes because you can’t get anyone to ‘pioneer’ so to speak, you of course have trouble attracting others. But hey, you know what, for the most part (and all during our recent winning streaks) we’ve done it without massive EU coverage. If it happens in the future, it does. If not, we’ll deal with it and cope the way we have been. Roll with the punches.

I do not want SoR to fall to T2, nor do I think this would even be possible unless guilds started jumping ship. The matches are always lopsided when we’re not all together, because we’ve tailored our coverage to only work if we’re all together, like a puzzle. I don’t know about you guys, but I am tired of fighting anyone else.

I’ve had some epic fights this week, regardless of what the score says. We’ve fought hard in the time zones we can actually cover, and that’s really all we can do. DEM GARRISON FIGHTS!

My sources tell me that Waha and almost all of ATM/FoO walked away from Guild Wars 2 this week. Looks like BG will be the last server standing at the end after all.

Good. I can’t really think of anything worse than something that would destabilize the current T1 situation.
As much as I tease, a situation with one server with too great of an advantage would just send everything off a cliff.

Heh, yeah, plus the whole reshuffling of guilds that happens as a result. I still feel bad thinking back to SBI and SoS, as that was a pretty sweet matchup overall.

A lot of folks just haven’t had to push as hard in these matchups, compared to the SoR/BG ones — not a slight to T2 servers, it’s just not as much of an even coverage war to maintain. So, they’ve been taking breaks, and etc. They’re just as ready as the rest of us to get this started on Friday.

Looks boring as hell for T1. Sorry, but ick. Number one way to lose good players: 2 hour queues full of karma trainers.

Honestly, we haven’t been taking it easy the last, oh, week or so. We’ve ditched the uplevels and paper armor in favor of what we’ll need against BG. We’ve been mentally preparing for the match, as it’s too easy to get into the zombie karma train state, and let your personal skill level go down. Besides, there’s some decent guilds on all the T2 servers we played, who will not hesitate to murder you in the face. It’ll be more a switch of going back to being PPT-focused, and not just playing murderball on the ruins or N camp all week. We’re all looking forward to it, that said.

Some of y’all confirmed that you ‘rested’ in your 1v1 vs JQ before leagues, so don’t try saying that with one hand, and then saying poor BG got obliterated with the other. It doesn’t match up, yo

The league itself has been kinda… something. The best outcome would be for it to come down to that last match, otherwise the last 2 weeks are pretty boring/meaningless. We’ll do our best to win vs BG. We’re resting up; we’re getting ready. Regardless of the outcome, however, we will be out there fighting until the last possible moment. Deny JQ access to SoR or BG for too long, and we get super cranky and out for blood.

JQ and SoR ts are run by the same dude, but not on the same server. For the record. JQ’s ts has been DDOS’d daily for about the last 6 weeks, usually during important pushes.

If that’s true, it would be great if none of the four actually went to BG.

JQ has French guilds [SR] and [TOHU]. Both are smaller in size, 15-20, but are awesome

I’d suggest SoS. They could use more NA forces, and you’d get to fight some of the top tiers without having to be in the top.

I dunno about the rest of JQ, but I’m personally curious/excited to fight a new guild. If you keep playing the same people constantly, you’ll never learn anything. Bring it on!

Yeah, I don’t think any people I know on JQ felt that this was something we had in the bag. You don’t fight SoR and BG for months and feel like any competition against them will be easily won. It can go either way for any of us, and that’s just the way it should be.

Let me just say that there isn’t a universe I’d want to reside in if it had been JQ that had picked up ZD. Hell to the no. There would be enough crying to make people start pairing up and looking for an ark. I’m good with it being BG. No, we don’t have giant EU coverage to compete (though I do love our SR and TOHU folks!), but we never really have and we’ve done OK so far

I’ve no idea where this thread ventured off to. The info from Strike Force will be sent off today. We’re ~240 members, WvW-focused, and… yeah. Hope to work with/fight with the rest of you to get this polished for release.

Probably not, no. Neither server has enough off-hours coverage to be an impact.

Oh god, totally TOTALLY wrong. We had such bad lag that my worker in garry was pinging around the keep. Yaks were not moving. I could not use a skill at spawn, even.

SoR is either lacking the common sense to do so or is blinded by hatred.

We don’t because our past experiences with 2v1ing JQ always results in BG golem rushing our T3 keep while we’re inside JQ’s keep. Happened twice today in BG BL, that’s why we 2v1’d BG garri with JQ.

Our experience with BG has been the same. Guildie once described BG as that guy who hits on your girlfriend while you’re in the bathroom

I’m not trying to be rude or say anyone is wrong, but I’m curious why everyone seems certain about who will win against who. If it was a for sure victory or loss, why even play? JQ could easily loose against any two other servers in the league that work together and I think they are loosing right now as well. I know the point of the post is saying they will have “easier” matchups, but how is everyone so confident in that they will be easy?

Exactly. SoR has the most numbers right now across all time zones to win. The panic over this is just getting crazy. If/When SoR wins every encounter against us, the ‘three easy wins’ won’t really mean much. If we somehow pull out a win this week, things may be different.

With the way this week is going so far, I’m surprised you guys are still worried about us winning, honestly o.O

I agree with Indo. SoR should have ‘easy’ weeks against BG anyway, if last week was any indication :P

I don’t believe at all that we’re stronger than BG or SoR. Y’all did get transfers since we played last. This week will tell the truth, I guess. There is 0 guarantee that JQ will win the season. There is a 100% guarantee that we will be beating up lower tier servers for 3 weeks.

The schedule for SFR is actually the same in EU — 3 ‘easy’ weeks. We have no idea which server out of the three is the strongest with recent transfers (SoR majorly boosted their EU and OCX) so saying right now that any one server is going to win is just crazy o.o

What I want to know is how anyone could seriously look at this week and say it’s the direct result of JQ being ‘overstacked’ and not the direct result of BG just not showing up. Certainly nobody playing inside T1 believes that crap :P

Trust the opinions of a server mainly from those residing on it. You won’t get a clear picture otherwise. All are good bets, all have a chance at winning. It sounds sort of like you’re asking us to tell you which one will be a lock for winning gold, but at this point I don’t think there’s any way we could make that determination.
