I’ve always played ele/mage in every rpg I ever played. I like to burn stuff.
I really don’t see tempest as being part of a dps spec. It’s good as a celestial or bunker build but that’s it. It’s all about the auras.
I think the whole arcane line needs a rework. I think it needs a more focused role. Right now it’s boons with a variety of other things thrown in. I don’t feel that’s good enough anymore.
With celestial being removed from pvp it makes arcane even less useful as many of the traits go well with celestial.

Thats great, but did you read the thread? This is a problem with Windows 10 and mobile Nvidia gpus…..if you don’t have these specs then you wont have a problem. Rolling back to an earlier Nvidia driver does nothing to correct this problem.
Why would anyone downgrade to 10?

Right from your mobo specifications website, it appears you bought the wrong ram for your computer. And when you changed it to match what you bought, it will cause a lot of problems.

It’s 2 new sticks. I replaced my old RAM. My motherboard specs say they’re compatible. I suppose 1 or both could have issues. Seems everytime I put new RAM in I have issues. I had bought a different set before and the computer wouldn’t even boot with them in so I returned those and bought these. I had to adjust a setting in BIOS to get them to work properly. I had the frequency orignally set to auto but it was showing them slower than they’re supposed to be so I manually changed it to what they should be and they worked but I’ve been having blue screen of deaths that I thought was unrelated to the RAM but perhaps it is related?
But if the RAM is having issues why does it stop having issues after I reboot?
Rebooting clears the RAM, and then after a bit you get errors again.
But it’s only happening shortly after starting the computer. I can leave the computer on all day and it doesn’t happen again. Perhaps I shouldn’t turn it off…

I put in new memory about a week ago. been having computer issues ever since. Different than this. First time with this game. But it always fixes itself after a reboot. I don’t understand why.

It’s happening on both the 32 and 64bit versions. It was working fine this morning. Sometimes I can get into the game for a minute sometimes it crashes as soon as I hit play.
Rebooted computer seems to have solved whatever is going on.

The mender amulet is probably what I will be using at least to test it out.
Allow me to clarify Dondagora’s setup.
- Blue player 1 reaches a capture point. He stands on it alone, points tick in his teams favor.
- Red player 2 reaches the same capture point. Now both Red and Blue players are fighting for the point. No team earns any points while both players contend for the point.
- Red player 2 kills blue player 1, removing him from the point. Red player 2 now ticks points for his team.
- Presumably Dond’s suggestion means players can leave a point, keeping it in their teams favor. But it will be decapped/capped instantly the moment an enemy player enters the point.
The strongest teams would be those filled with players who could both take point, and repel enemy attackers. Killing, or routing would be the optimal means to generating score.
Worst case scenario: Immovable objects meet unstoppable forces. Nobody dies. Capture points never tick. No score is generated. Though, knocking someone off point for a second will generate 1 ticks worth of score etc. Generally speaking teams would be looking to spread over all three points all of the time, and being able to skillfully outplay an opponent would give a huge advantage.

No. There will only be fighting when people run into each other on accident. The only other viable alternative is more bunker to prevent the other team from coming by and capping it immediately after you leave. You’ll either stay there preventing the other team from taking it or you’ll move to the next as quickly as possible to take the others. You will most definitely have at least a couple players on each team dedicated to roaming looking for a weak spot. With the current system there isn’t such a need for speed because capping takes a decent amount of time allowing people to somewhat take their time getting point to point.
All that would do is create a super speed meta of everyone just running around in circles capping and running to the next. Speed and stealth.

This is important, since you can spout some rhetoric without an ounce of truth to the word. I believe this hypothetical meta of yours doesn’t truly represent the scenario I am presenting, and would like to be enlightened to the truth of your statement.
If you can cap a point simply by walking over it and fighting in it makes it neutral the best strategy would be to go look for uncapped points and run to the next. Stealth so they don’t see you coming for the point. Defending has no value if it remains neutral. Probably some traps to slow down the other team when they cap it.

Ha. The tempest changes are not a big deal even with cele gone. All it means is my burns do less damage but I’ll have more power. Burns weren’t a big part of my damage to begin with. It’s not a damage spec to begin with anyway. I don’t see much overall change for tempest. You’ll see more fresh air tempests is all. Perhaps go air bunker rather than fire bunker.

Not really no. Auras are about the only thing tempest has going for it and they’re defensive. Trying to build anything but a defensive build around it isn’t worth it.

From his post, it sounds like the was online for 3 hours, but only get 3 queue pops. In which case, I’d give him a pass on having to pay attention the whole time.

I do think daze is a bit over done in this meta. It feels like the GW1 factions interrupt meta. It was so annoying they created a profession just to deal with that crap. (Paragons)
I notice when I use my finishers on the npcs ( I have set to randomize) in heart of the mists it doesn’t seem so random as it does when I’m in a game. It tends to do the same ones twice in a row and often the same handful of finishers. It’s something I’ve noticed for a few months. I believe it’s more than a strange random coincidence.
I know it’s low priority but it bugs me.
Either I haven’t faced one of these viper revs yet or they’re really not that strong because I haven’t faced a revenant yet to give me any real trouble.

The unlikely part is it actually benefiting the player. They discussed it on “Guild Chat”. Their statistics don’t back up the theory. It’s basically a waste of time.

It takes more like twice as long as normal harvesting. It’s ridonkulous.
If you got 3 full tickets out of 52, then that’s higher than average and is your positive RNG right there. Most people would have only gotten 1 and maybe a partial ticket. At any rate, 52 chests isn’t very many. Rare items drop at a lower frequency.
Really because that seems to be pretty average overall for me. About 2 scraps for every 3 chests.
Normally though in that many chests I usually get something rare like a home harvesting node or a permanent trader or rare dyes. Maybe I been extra lucky before.
But really for something you pay real money for there should be better drops. If this is a normal drop rate I don’t feel it worth buying keys anymore. I’d be better off buying gold and buying skins and items.
Drops seem to be extra poor lately. I opened 52 chests and got about 3 full tickets, bunch of cruddy exp boosters and some worthless dye and other worthless items. I know random and all but geebus.
