4 queue would lose a pip if they lost to a 3/2 because a 4 queue is larger than a 3 queue or a 2 queue. At no point did I suggest gaining pips upon a loss.

You should also check the code that determines who gets the NPC kill in Forest, or make it so the NPC gets downed and you actually have to finish it, because I swear I see red taking the kill most of the time when players of both teams are fighting by them.

There’s another thread about that. its the killing blow that gets the kill. If there’s conditions from both teams on him as in burning from both teams it’s basically a coin flip.

Why does it go to the killing blow at all? Seems a really terrible system. Should be whoever does the most damage. The condition damage just makes it too random.
If you want to give kill steals a better chance make it only apply to the last 50% of the health as to who did the most damage.
Queuing only stronghold is probably not helping. I think more people have only conquest than only stronghold.
You dont have to counter EVERY SINGLE move they make. Your going to have to facetank some damage. Double dodging unrelenting Assault is a total viable counter and if your so worried about not having a dodge for another attack, then just dodge half of it
Your not supposed to never take a single hit, all you need to do is kill them befor they kill you, sometimes you have to know when your better off just letting them take a chunk of your health out if it will allow you to win in the long run

2 Blocks that heal, Staff 5 (an evade an a KB) Staff 4 heals, Glint heal which is instant and no counterplay. UA is also an evade that can be used defensively, high boon uptime esp might.

Skilled revs can 1v2 a point. even 1v3 against bads.
Let’s just admit that revs are overtuned, same as dhs and scrappers.

A rev isn’t going to 1v2 anyone unless they’re a bunker spec. And if you die 2v1 to a bunker spec there isn’t hope for you.
Kill it before it kills you. Pretty simple.
UA is weak in group fights. If you’re afraid of revs don’t 1v1 them and then L2P.
So many people have learned how to counter rev that I don’t feel it’s even a strong spec anymore. It’s pretty average right now.

I feel the daze spam is worse than blind.
The grace period should be 2 or 3 minutes. 1 is rushing it a bit. Often times even the process of crashing can take 30 seconds because of the send report to Anet stuff takes so long.
Why no just buy the expansion? Only 50€, that’s about the price to drive with a taxi home or eat dinner etc.

A good reaper can melt a tempest with chill and other conditions after breaking diamond skin. Any other heavy conditions can kill tempest once diamond skin is broken and it’s really not that hard to break it.
Stuns are real bad for tempest unless you take the stability on overload.
I’ve been doing that itzel farm on about 12 characters. If I wasn’t donating it all to the guild I’d have a ton of gold.

Just make mentor tag only visable for players in your own group.
So many casuals taging up makes meta events really difficult, cause they have no clue what to do and then ppl which have no clue follow an apple that has no clue either = 100% fail.
Just make it so only your party members can see the Mentor tag and we are all happy.

They don’t try to make you lose. They simply keep raising your rating til you get to the point where you’re playing against people better than you which causes you to lose and drop your rating.
I agree. I was recently in a match where I was dazed about 90% of the match. And no I wasn’t standing in DH traps. It wasn’t against a coordinated team either. I could understand being focused chain cc’d like that against a coordinated team but against a random pug? really?
If the guild is being split up why not have the members all try joining the lesser populated maps instead of everyone trying to squeeze into the higher pop map?
Perhaps Anet could also add some sort of indicator on the map that shows roughly how full the map is. Similar to the server status.
Guild wars 3 won’t happen until guild wars 2 is dead. They will be releasing many expansions as long as people are still buying.
Only reason they went with guild wars 2 instead of more gw1 expansions is because the gw1 engine had to be completely rewritten in order to make the changes they wanted to make. I don’t think that’s an issue this time

The other elite specs’ weapons aren’t fugly. I don’t see why the herald one should be.
Is kinda fugly. Too dull. The icon makes it look shiny but the actual shield just looks like a big chunk of dull debris that came from a sunken ship.

I just entered the map for the first time yesterday simply to start the nuhoch mastery line and grab a hero point to finish reaper. I know quite a few others that are in the same boat. It’s a bit early to declare the map dead.

What’s your point? As I said there’s still lots of people that haven’t made it that far. Auric basin is very populated. Many of them will be moving on towards the rest soon. The ones in dragon stand are those who rushed through everything. The people that are actually playing through at a normal pace are still catching up.
I love how people don’t realize how much work it was redoing the entire legendary system and not only writing the quests for each new one, going back and writing ones for all of the existing ones. Get your head out of your doggy and think bud.

Masteries are less of a way to progress and mostly there to disguise the otherwise lack of content.
Without them – a 4 map expansion would be done in a week, two or maybe three if you’re super casual.This isn’t being totally fair though. The same could be said of increased level caps in other games that have expansions… that the level cap increase is there to disguise the lack of content. Masteries are as much content as a level cap increase, if not more so.
The main issue (imo) is that too many low level masteries are too vital to the jungle and put unnecessary pressure on people who have few hours to play.
In games with level cap increase, the mob level of new zones increases slowly, so it is more like leveling up again. In HoT, it is like being tossed a rough equivalent of “level up again,” but with little to no ramping up of needed masteries for different zones.
The end result is that you can navigate any of the four zones with little more than gliding and the rest is “no need for masteries,” interspersed with random situations where you need a mastery that is anywhere from 1 to 6 on the chain. It has a kind of freedom to it, which is cool in its own right, but it’s also messy and (sadly) goes against the sort of streamlining they tried to do with the NPE.
With 20/20 hindsight vision, I think a much smarter design choice would have been to set up masteries so that it’s more like a level cap increase; if you really want to go into the next zone before you’re ready, you can, but it’s going to be infinitely harder to do. This also might have controlled the flow of players better. As it is, we have players scattered across four different maps doing four different hours long metas, none of which are easy to do without being a little organized.
They would have been trading off the freedom for people to go where they want when they want, in exchange for a potentially smoother entry experience into HoT content. Maybe they had that talk and decided the freedom was more worth it. Who knows.

When I first started HoT I assumed that each zone would require different masteries. When I finally left verdant I realized I could have done so much earlier.
Next time they do masteries each zone should have a set of masteries associated with it. The further you get the more that are required.

Replace the current 5v5 spvp with it. You can still join a team randomly but then if you win you move on to the next map. The further you get the better the rewards.

s/sh #3 on rev is ridiculous, it needs ridiculously lower-cost counter. the only way to avoid it fully is to dodge three times in a row, instantly, or blow a high cd block/invuln. there’s no other attack that works like this all by itself.
It’s only strong 1v1. As soon as anyone is nearby it loses half the damage at least.

Rev is strong but not Op. Conditions easily counter it.
10/15 games is nowhere near enough to get a gauge on things. Do a couple hundred before getting close to enough of a sample size
You went 12 months without the game because of a problem? You could have just uninstalled and reinstalled if it was really an issue. Worst thing that happens is you spend a few hours downloading the game again.
The whole afk/event participation system is very screwy right now, i think. I hope they’re looking into it, because it needs something close to a total overhaul.
