After the patch I read through the notes and peoples comments about the class and it all seems pretty negative.

The next class I was going to make was going to be engineer but I just wanna know if they are still worth making???

I just recently turned level 80 and now I want to get my character better armour, do more crafting and just buy more things in the game. Is there a quick way to earn gold??

I have been trying to play Guild Wars 2 as I was going to purchase Heart Of Thorns but whenever I select a character it goes onto the loading screen but then crashes and opens up a crash report.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Heya, I haven’t played for a while (around 4 months) and I was wondering what class is ‘better’ out of Guardian and Warrior. I know a lot of people will be like “no class is better, its all on how you play” but i’m asking about YOUR preference and why you like it better. Also I haven’t really read through all the patch notes so are there any major changes I should know about these two classes???

Heya, I wanted to make a ranger because I just love archer type classes. I have played the game since release but never played ranger before (don’t know why lol). I was just asking if you would be able to leave any tips down below about the class eg, what weapons are best for pve and maybe what the best pets are.
I know some of you may think “oh there is no best at anything it’s how you play” but these questions are mainly for getting form like 1-40 then I should of learnt the class a bit more by then and would be able to make my own choices.

for easy leveling you want sword + dagger and longbow, but have a shortbow in your inventory ready for use.
Reason for this is, you should use the longbow as much as possible to lay down fire onto large groups, tag as much as possible and let the pet grind the enemy down. A good tip is to get ahold of a Moa or Drake pet early on. The Moa is a tanky-support pet, and offers a great healing ability, along with long lasting fury and chill. Drakes are tanky-offense, they suck up loads of damage, and dish it back out. Both these pets are melee, the only “smart” ranged alternative, early on, is devourers. You can find devourers around the charr homeland. Drakes can be found in Lions Arch, same with moas.

As for underwater, you want devourers and sharks. They simply tear apart anything.

As for gear, knights works really well up till around level 60, past that, you will need more tanky stuff, like PVT/Clerics.

EDIT: if you need even more help, you can always join my guild. I made a guild with the purpose of promoting and improving rangers. It’s still small, only around 30 people in there, but, we have a few good rangers, some are dungeon nuts, others like myself, is WvW’ing all day long. We even got a s/tPVP player in our guild

Are you US or EU? because i wouldn’t mind joining that guild actually :P

I made a thief and wanted to get to level 80 so I could join more guild activities and be better in zergs in WvW, but I started to think what thiefs could actually do to help. I dont know much about thiefs and thats why Im asking. I wanted to know:

-What can they do to buff there allies?
-Do people want them in dungeons or not really?
-Other stuff that thiefs can do which is.are helpful.

Personally, I’ve decided not to try to craft my favorite legendaries (Bifrost and Meteorlogicus) for this very reason. I’ve seen various asura toons with both and it’s kind of sad – for the person with the scepter, I had to double back, zoom in, and make sure I was actually looking at Meteorlogicus, which isn’t the kind of thing you want when you make a legendary weapon (and I play the game on max graphic settings). You want to show it off as much as possible >:] but on asura this just isn’t feasible. I pity whoever makes Incinerator or Quip of course, but even big two-handeds like Bifrost are practically unnoticeable while sheathed.

I recently started levelling up a mesmer Asura and when I get to 80 I was gonna craft bolt because I really like it, but then I started to think it was going to be way to small, should I change to like a human or sylvari to get it seen?

I was just wondering if legendary weapons are a waste of time on assurance because do they look to small and can you hardly see the detail. If you have any screenshots they would really help, also leave your own opinions.

Pretty much everyone. The more people the worse it gets. On T1 you can be well away from a major fight and still not be able to get skills to go off right away, even when you don’t see anyone around. During a massive three way in Garrison I waypointed up and went to get supply at the north camp and still couldn’t get skills to fire.

I’m in whiteside ridge, its not the most populated server, i’m not a tier 1 server so i don’t no why its happening

I’m also having trouble connecting to the actual borderland, it sometimes just doesn’t load.

Lately when I have been on WvW I have experienced major skill lag and some fps drop, mainly when i get close to a zerg.
It has only started to do this like 1 week ago and i thought it would just solve itself but it hasn’t please help. I have turned down graphics quality down to lowest and that still hasn’t helped. If you have any tips to reduce lag it will help a lot.

Is anyone else having the same problem? It only started to happen recently.

• Are they wanted in dungeons and how good are they in them?
• Can they dash out a lot of DPS and can they tank well.

Recently i was thinking on making a thief but I was told not many thiefs are wanted in dungeons and that kind of put me off. I wasn’t told reasons why I was told by a streamer I watch on twitch.
How are thiefs in dungeons eg. Over powered, Under powered, Useful, Hardly useful.

I recently made a Mesmer but I just started thinking about things to come in the later stages of gameplay. How are Mesmers in:

*Dungeons

*Boss fights

*Dragon Fights

I’m perfectly OK with the quickness nerf, not warriors and thiefs wont be able to come and kill me super fast without me being able to react! Even though i am a Mesmer i think that the Time Warp Nerf was a good thing.

What race shall my Mesmer be from your personal preference of Mesmer looks.

I have a Level 80 Ele and it’s so boring! Mesmer will be 80 soon

Comparing Mesmer: Sword/Focus & GS 10/30/0/0/30 vs. Ele: D/D or Staff 0/10/0/30/30]

• Damage: I think Mesmer’s dmg is better. Both sustained and burst!
• Fun to play: Definitely Mesmer, Ele has only (imo) two reliable & fun weapons, D/D & Staff. Also it’s lots of fun confusing people in WvW etc.
• Level of skill to play: Mesmer, but it depends where you use the class. Like in normal PvE it’s just button spamming. In fractals though, you need to know when to dodge/use your invulnerability
• sPvP: Both but Mesmer is more useful in tPvP {TW, Portal}, though Ele can tank like 2+ enemies
• WvW: If in a zerg, Mesmer at any rate {Portal, Focus #4 Pull}. Watch this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1LQq_Dd1qQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player When alone I think Ele, because it can tank 5+ Noobs
• Utility (mostly about PvE): Mesmer all the way!! Mostly in Fractals, Ele compared to Mesmer is so useless!
• Projectile Absorb/Reflect Ele has only 1 Projectile Absorb, Air Focus #4. Mesmer has — Utility Projectile Reflect
  -- Focus 5 untraited absorb, traited reflect [untraited pretty useful against bosses which projectiles you can’t reflect but absorb (i.e. Old Tom)]
• Invulnerability Mesmer has a lot and also better on-demand invulns! {Shatter F4 (up to 4 sec, 45-60 sec CD), Blurred Frenzy (2 sec every 8 sec!), Mimic when used correctly}. Ele is a lot worse {Mist Form (3 sec duration, 75 sec CD), Earth Focus #5 (4 sec duration, 50 sec CD)}
• Stealth Running through trash, Veil (& MI), gg
• Portal/TW Nothing to say, Portal/TW>ALL

I’ve made the mistake to make a mesmer this late (had already 80 guardian & ele)

Also the biggest argument mesmer wins: Style & Animations… Nothing to say :P

I’d “Guest” over to their world and just go crazy in Orr and attempt to gain as much gold as you could. Hell, even getting then converting 10-20g wouldn’t take more then a week to do, if your friends can help with the cost then thats even less. Pool your money for the sake of the group.

Or, i have been told, 40 gold, this has really made me feel like i’m stuck in the world i am in and it has now really annoyed me.

That’s what guesting is for. They made it expensive so PUGs are less likely to leave their world when they face a real challenge in WvW.
