I think part of the problem is that lots of pub players use condi builds, which rev is stupidly weak to unless you kitten yourself with Mallyx. Most of the ESL groups don’t use condi much at all because there are too many counters as a whole. So ESL players can kitten out revs all over the place, but as a pub player you run into all the condi classes which just DoT you down. Quite quickly in the case of any of the major burners.

To answer some of the questions I am running your standard Herald / Shiro build. Have tried many different variations and runes / sigils.

condi ranger / druid build / Mesmer / Guardians are the major classes that literally face roll me. And yes, I may not know the class as well as some players or know how to counter them as well, But I have a fairly good understanding of how they’re played and have no problem beating them on my other toons. I too ran into this last night. And im one of the poor people so my only option is waiting 30 days to craft a ingot every day. Talk about an immediate buzzkill.

I think it made me more upset to see the cost of crafting the first tier than waiting for loana to get fixed. Can only imagine what the later tiers are going to cost

… To late, I uninstalled the game and opted for a clean install. But its still trying to save it somewhere (Has my login and everything remembered) and there is not one folder on my PC for GW2, Least in program files, downloads, documents, Etc

There needs to be a better way of farming the experience for the HOT masteries. You give us only 4 maps that have random events across them. Literally took me ALLLL day and bouncing between all 4 maps trying to find active events to open Nuhoch Language. And it was only 1.8 million experience. I can farm that in a matter of hours in Tyria.. Plenty of solutions you can make to address the issue, Please do something…

Running full zerk ascended set, Would celestial trinkets bring enough to the table to be worth it? AKA the healing / toughness / vitality / added condition on torment skills? Speaking in WVW situations.

I’ll be running your standard power glint / shiro build most likely. Could definitely use a little more survivability with zerk gear.

First off, I am sorry for posting a topic similar to the one I posted yesterday, But I need some further clarification on the subject.

Im asking this question for WVW purposes mostly as I don’t really care much for PVE. Ive never done a legit fractal a day in my life and don’t care to.

As it stands, I have a full ascended Zerker set and Im looking to gain more survivability. Im currently at a cross roads where I either A, Change my stats on the armor and roll zerker on weapons / Trinkets. Or keep stats and sub in tankier trinkets to try and make up for the zerkers lack of defenses. If I go that route, I don’t know which stat line to go with?

Could really use some good insight so I can make my decision and have the gear set and ready by release.

To something more sustainable. Any recommendations? Don’t really have the patience nor money to craft another whole set of armor. If I ever do, It’ll be to make a condi set.

Ive been thinking the Valkyrie perma fury with rolling mists build but haven’t heard much back on it and Id like to have the set made for release.

Its nice to have Roy behind us. He actually cares about his job and had passion for the profession and elite spec he was creating. So luckily we were well taken care of, Sadly, Fate had it different for you Dragon Hunters and Druids

In regards to a prior comment. I see more than enough reason to release the revenant before HOT. Now the ELITE spec for the class should be held off to be released with the rest of them for obvious reasons. I think 90% of us already have enough experience scrolls and tomes to ding max level when it hits any way. But still… for those that don’t, They wont get to experience the new content right away…

I have my experience scroll, tomes, bag space increases, etc all set and waiting for the drop.

However, I’m in the process of saving my clothes / mats to decide what stat set I am going to be changing my zerker set too. Leaning towards the Valkyrie set, with Zerk off pieces. But that is yet to be determined.

Valkyrie armor and Zerk off pieces with Rolling Mists the way to go for Shiro / Herald builds?

Celestial Condi build? Was my original intentions, But fell in love with the Shiro / Herald build. Problem is now, I have full zerker set and cant decide which off pieces to go with to help make it survivable.

Devastation / Herald / Invocation. Though I might swap Invocation for Corruption for the condi cleanse.

Runes will probably be Runes of Rage or Hoelbrak, And Sigils are still undecided.

As mentioned, I had crafted a full zerker ascended set in anticipation of “Shiro”. However I realized just how squishy the class was in WVW with said gear. So I’m looking to grab some tanky rings, ammy and earrings to help try to give it some survivability.

With that said. I have a couple Celestial pieces laying around, And I’m leaning towards it just for the added healing power. Or should I go with something that is Power / Toughness / Vitality.

In reality, Its only like 40 less toughness / vitality per piece. Spread across 5 pieces though, Would that make a huge difference?

To start things off, I should stay that I plan to run a Shiro / Herald build.

With that said, I had crafted a full set of zerker ascended armor and with WVW, I feel that’s going to be FAR to squishy. Now here is my dilemma…

Do I keep the zerker stats and go for tanky Rings, Etcs to help boost the stats, And if I go that route, Which stat set would be the better pick? I have a couple Celestial ones floating around, But that’s about it so far.

Or, Would it be recommended to stat change the armor to something like say Valkrie?

Still proving to be the best for PVE / WVW. No power builds are able to come close to what I’m able to do with condi celestial build. Really regretting that zerker set I made

I hadn’t considered that actually, Completely slipped past me. I’ll have to see what I like with exotic gear before I switch my Zerk stats to anything.

Nevermind, Found my own answer. For whatever reason A Net did not give the option to upgrade to ultimate. Only to deluxe.. Guess its more money in my pocket and less in theres. Sweet

I had pre purchased the basic HOT package and I’m looking to upgrade to the ultimate. How does one do this? Its only giving me the option of paying the full 99$…

Im running an i7 950at 3.6 ghz. Gforce 970 superclocked. 6 gig of ram and game on a samsung evo ssd.

That said. I let gfocr experience “optimize” gw2 for me and for the most part i get 60 fps in random zones. But wvw and say lions arch it will spike constantly.mostly when turning. Almost makes it feel laggy. Even if i lower the graphics.

However when i watch streamers their game runs so smooooooth and fluently. I dont know if it because they use say a 144 hz monitor. Or if something in my spec is hindering performance.

I can understand the high pop zones but itll do it in spvp etc as well…

I don’t very much run fractals or anything, I strictly PVP or WVW. So not to concerned about any meta just yet.

I was thinking of running celestial or sinister setup with condi build. But after seeing they buffed the sword output. We’ll see after the next beta…

In anticipation of Shiro I made a full zerker ascended set but after the beta I am leaning towards a Condi build… Now… I don’t know what I want to do, Lol.

What are you all rolling for for stats / build?

Over the last beta, I found that I was able to get a lot more damage output via Condi build and found any zerk build to be severely lacking behind it. Which kind of bums me out because I spent a month creating a whole zerker ascended set in anticipation of the Shiro.

With that said, I myself will probably be going condi build. Any wild guesses on what stat set will be best so I can start changing my stats on the gear? I would assume Sinister, But didn’t know if Dire / Rabid would be any better?
