Remove your mini-pet when you’re pvp’ing. They’re always visible so the enemy can tell where you are, even when you’re stealthed
That made very little sense… I can feel english is not your native language
I wonder how the air, earth, and water attunement skills would be for the torch. Fire skills are easy to come up with, but the other attunements…
That would most likely raise gw2’s age limit which I doubt Anet would want.
So no +1 from me

I can think of about ZERO reason why Anet would suddenly change a part of the set, make it undyeable, and leave it with that ugly red.
Could be a bug though, but why haven’t they fixed it yet then?
Sounds like GW2 is not you or maybe you just got the wrong first impression
That would make huge clipping issues if you wear the pants you want along with, let’s say, vigil chest armor
It’s summer soon so Anet will probably add some swimsuits.
They already got some skins (Lord Faren and Kasmeer on Southsun Cove wears some) so it shouldn’t be too hard
I have 2 idea to the bleed fix:
1:The max bleed stack will increase depending on the amount of players fighting that certain monster. Just like a dynamic event’s difficulty that increases when more players participate.
I’m thinking that 3-5 extra stacks per extra player should be enough but this could end up making bleed OP in large events.
2: The max bleed stack is different depending on how strong the monster is.
Basic monsters (no special circle) will still have 25 as max bleed stack
Veterans (bronze circle) could have a max bleed stack of about 30-35.
The elites’ (silver circle) max bleed stack could be 35-40.
The champions’ (gold circle with 2 crossed swords) max bleed stack could be about 40-50.
And the legendaries’ (purple circle with spikes) max bleed stack could be 50-60.
Some of the max stacks could be a bit over the top (or maybe even too low) but it’s just my quick suggestion.
When I think of a druid-profession, it looks nature-like to me. The ranger profession already covers that theme.
Keep in mind that the professions in gw2 not only have unique features and mechanics but also a unique theme.
Of course it’s just a suggestion but no +1 from me, sorry
I thought the exact same thing the first time I saw Wizard’s Tower in Kessex Hills!

One-handed weapons are more expensive than two-handed weapons, considering you need two of them
My lvl 40 guardian, Agnetha The Honest wearing t1 norn armorEdit: Added a pic of her current look at lvl 65 and one of her planned look at lvl 80 (with slightly different dyes ofc)
My lovely guardian is officially done! She’s now lvl 80 with t3 chest and legs, t2 helmet (hidden) and boots, barbaric shoulders and orrian gloves.
Plus I bought a makeover kit to change her hair, tattoo, eye-color and height.

The reply was too short so I’m writing this: Hi mom
Make it an option so those who just want to log in as quickly as possible can just do so.
Not that I want it, the old login screen is epic
You’re not the only one. I just thought it was my internet connection but I suppose not
I’ve recently planned to get enough gold to buy the sylvari t3 armor set as a secondary set (for cosmetics only, ofc) besides my current and I’d like a second build to go with it.
Since my main build is focused on the use of stealth and conditions I’d like a build that focuses on none of those two things mentioned. So I thought of a flanking build with precision as major stat.
I haven’t tried it out yet but this is what I’m thinking: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fYAQRAsY8alcmyNHdS5E95ExOjdmT/Dgt7xWtqWB
Any change is welcome. My question is, of course, can a non-stealth flanking crit build work out?
Thank you in advance
And moustaches! We need moustaches too!
Uh, asfare as I know Sylvari/Humans/norn do not have claws
(Norn as a spirit do have them ofc)
Claws as weapons, not as actual animal claws, duh!
For example (attachments):

It is mentioned that Arena-Net is working on more legendary items so be patient and see what’ll come!
But while we’re at it, I just want serious and epic versions of the more weird and crazy legendaries (like quip and the moot)
I definitely agree! There’s no reason in keeping this armor set in PvP only!
Make hammer, dagger, mace, focus, axe, rifle, torch, and warhorn skin.
Not sure how they could look but the torch skin could look like the candle.
I know nothing about future patches but there’s one thing I know: these faces should be released.
And while we’re at it, make more hairstyles for asuras and sylvaris!
Add huge events that doesn’t always have to be combat-related, add a couple of fun jumping puzzles and make more mini-games for god’s sake in the cities! We were promised that there’ll be more and currently we only have 1; Keg brawl.
While the Tengu may not be a wanted playable race in future for many (not for me, I like them) it’ll make sense that they’ll be that. Their homeland, Dominion of Winds, isn’t accessable atm but might (and should) be in the future so why not add the Tengu as a playable race while at it?
New area, new major city, new race, all lore-friendly.
I roll a 25/0/30/0/15 condition/stealth build with D/D as main weapons and I personally think I do great in both PvE and sPvP. I haven’t tried WvW with my thief yet though.
I wouldn’t say thieves are some of the worse professions for PvE, they’re just rather difficult to master.
Arena-net is currently working on new PvP maps.
Besides that they’re also working on housing, dueling, commander-change, etc.
The game already has tons of different armor sets considering it has only been out for a half year but I’m always up for new sets ^^
But please, no profession-locked armor, profession-THEMED instead!
2-handed axes: Useable by warriors, guardians and necromancers.
Crossbows (1- or 2-handed): Useable by rangers, warriors (if 2-handed only), thieves and engineers.
(Hovering) orbs (off-hand): Useable by elementalists, mesmers, necromancers, guardians and (maybe) rangers.
Spears on land (1- and/or 2-handed): Useable by warriors, guardians, (maybe) elementalists and (maybe) rangers.
Macnuz Shadowblade
Lvl 80 sylvari thief
Armor is full order of whispers expect for the gloves which are duelist and the boots are from HotW.
Weapons I use are brandt on the first pic and moonshank and claws of the desert on second.
My dyes are midnight blue, winter sky, blue shade, honeysuckle, butter, orange shade and calfskin (yes I care a lot about dyes)

New weapons? Yes please! Doesn’t even have to be completely new, just make some of the current ones equipable by those professions who can’t use! (warriors with pistols, engineers with hammers, necromancers with torches, thieves with rifles, etc.)
Profession-restricted weapons? No thank you! An elite/utility skill to summon these weapons for use in combat is acceptable but actual profession-restricted weapons feels sorta dumb and goes against what Anet has in mind if you ask me. Crossbows (2 or 1 handed, doesn’t matter) would be perfect for both ranger AND thief. Same thing goes with your bardiche and spear (on land, I assume) idea. Could be useable for both guardian and warrior.
So, good weapon ideas but bad weapon system idea.
2 elder dragons hasn’t been introduced yet but we do know that one of them is a deep sea dragon.
Since the largos (and the quaggan) were driven away from the underwater depths by this unnamed elder dragon it would make most sense to make an expansion with the largos as a playable race and that dragon.
Also a huge underwater city would be neat :P
A martial artist that focuses on the vigor boon and sometimes uses endurance to more than dodging. They can go into difference stances to improve combat capabilities (like doubling endurance regeneration or block all incoming attacks by consuming endurance).
Besides that I think a bard/minstrel/skald sounds like a great idea. If there’ll ever be new professions I think Anet will make 2 new to keep the number of professions even.

Okay I’ve finally decided to use the build above but there’s still some minor things I’m considering:
1: Since I’m going to be a bit versatile I’ll need some offense. I’ll get that from my equipment, no problem with that. But I want to know if I should get more power or more precision? (I’ll get both, just want to know which one’s best to focus on for this kind of build)
2: Should I go with a 0/0/30/30/10 instead of 0/0/30/20/20? (The only reason I put 20 in virtues is for the absolute resolution (IX) trait, 3 conditions removed when using virtue of resolve and its passive effect is boosted)
3: Should I use the superior aria trait (II honor) and two utility shouts or swap them out with the writ of exaltation trait (III) or pure of heart trait (VI) (can’t decide XD) and get sanctuary and maybe a signet? (or just stick with one shout, group boons are great with AH) Simply, I’m asking if I should be a bit shout-focused or not?
4: Finally, I’d like to know if this build is too supportive and defensive to be considered a versatile build? (Pls keep in mind that my weapons and armor will have offensive stats)
I’m really enjoying the hammer with shout based Paragon build listed on these forums. I find it provides me plenty of offense, defense and support.
Well I do find the greatsword slighty boring even if it feels very effective so I think I’ll go with hammer as my secondary weapon
Didn’t read all of the replies but there doesn’t seem to be any build that fulfills my needs of a versatile survivor. Or should I just go 0/0/30/30/10 and get equipment with offensive stats?
I’ve just recently levelled my thief to 80 and I’m also planning to level my guardian to level cap. But I got one minor (or maybe even major) problem; I can’t decide how my build is going to be.
I’ve already decided it’s going to be a hybrid of support/survival and decent damage (biggest focus on defense).
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fUMQNApeRlYgKDXEyvDmoEBmCM+xrHOUiME
Currently my build looks like this ^ but it’s far from done and some things might need a change but I’m not sure.
Things of the build I will not change (unless someone comes with a very good argument) is to use mace/shield as main weapons for the support and then an offensive weapon as secondary (doesn’t have to be GS, just offensive).
For utilities, I’m only sticking to Purging flames for the condition damage and the condition removal. You’re free to swap out Signet of judgment and Hold your line. For elite skill I might use tome of courage in dungeon runs and tome of wrath in ordinary PVE. Not sure yet. For heal skill it’s either signet of resolve for the highest self heal and condition removal or healing breeze for ally-healing.
Now for the trait points. Currently I’m sticking to 30 valor and 20 honor but I’ll gladly change it if it’s a stupid combination and would never fit my kind of build. The only major traits I won’t change is Altruistic healing and Honorable shield under valor and Writ of the merciful under honor.
For the last 20 trait points I got no idea how to use them. The only plan I got is to use them on either zeal or radiance since I want a little bit offense. But I’m still not sure. Zeal got the major traits I like (Shattered aegis and Fiery wrath) while radiance got the stat (condition damage since I’ll be using burn most of the time) and the minor traits I’d like. Of course I can just get equipment that raises condition damage so currently I’m thinking of zeal.
For armor I still haven’t decided but you don’t have to worry about that. I’ll figure it out.
Pls help me. I’d really appreciate it
Rangers are natural survivalists with a big connection to animals and spirits. Rifles wouldn’t fit their theme at all and they don’t really need another ranged weapon at the moment. They already got 3 ranged weapons on land (axe, shortbow, longbow) and they basically cover up most ranged playstyles needed ( axe does med-ranged AOE, shortbow does ranged conditions and a bit flanking, and the longbow does long-ranged direct damage)
WvW is full of times I wish we could do this.
Hell just let us use our skills while midair, andyone that’s drilled to swing a sword or an axe would be able to do it while falling too. Just have it deal less damage.
Exactly! It would be epic to use midair skills in WvW. A fort is under attack and a warrior jumps off the fort’s wall to slam into the ground and knock everyone away.
While we’re at it there should be more hairstyles for the sylvari and asura. Their selection of hair is too small!
A charge skill is when you hold down the button to use it. Hold the button down for one sec and it’ll do mediocre effect. Hold it down for five secs and it’ll do immense effect.
Simply, it’s just a skill with a cast time you control. The longer the cast time is, the stronger the skill is. If you ask me it would be really neat in GW2 but maybe useless in melee PVP since the enemy could easily dodge if you want a long charge.
I’m not sure if some of the current skills should be changed into chargeable skills or new utility charge skills should be created. Whatever it turns out to be (if it ever becomes real which it probably won’t) I think it would be cool.
Feel free to tell me what you think!
Check out my other topic about midair skills:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Midair-skills/first#post1392874
This is only a minor idea and if there’s already a topic about it then sorry. I’m too lazy to search :P
When I say midair skills I mean skills (only) useable during a jump or fall. Midair skills in GW2 could be like slamming into the ground and knocking enemies away with a massive shockwave.
I don’t really think utility midair skills would work out so maybe just make some weapon skills useable and different in midair. Like the guardian’s second hammer skill “Mighty Blow”. Use it in midair and you smack your hammer to the ground, causing extra damage, knockdown and (maybe) less fall damage for the user (this is only an example). Or maybe the ranger’s third greatsword skill “Swoop” would slice into the ground like a guillotine and cause doubled bleed effect (once again, only an example).
A new skill slot for a midair skill could maybe also be an opportunity. The warrior could for example have “Ground Slam” which quickly and fiercely stomps on the ground and knocks back nearby foes.
I’m not saying these should be useable from a mere jump. More like falling from a greater height (doesn’t have to be a damaging fall). Of course if this type of skill would come to life it would probably be buggy as hell but also epic and awesome!
Feel free to tell me what you think!
1h spear? Never thought of that since spears are normally 2h but I love it! GW2 could really use some new weapons for more skills
More weapons! I know there’s so many topics about this but seriously
Great idea but how will the sigil of grawl slaying, sigil of wrath and so on look like then?
I would love to see a crossbow but I do not see the crossbow as a ranger weapon. I would argue first being engi, thief, warrior. Ranger needs more combat options – not ranged.
I could definitely see a ranger with a crossbow but I guess that’s just opinion. And yes the crossbow could fit for the engineer in some way but I think the engineer needs at least one melee weapon before more ranged weapons are added to that profession. But I’ll put the engineer on the crossbow list anyway!
(edited by Animag.7634)
I am too awating new weapon options for various professions. However, you have you ask yourself if they (ArenaNet) could just plop some weapons and call it content. They take time, to balance and also fit the style of the profession. New weapons sort of extend those boundries since they are new, and can be distrubted amoungst various professions but simply asking to add more weapon options to the professions is a bit kitten. They need a reason other than to add more options to them. (Like adding a 2h heavy weapon to thief. it wouldn’t fit nor would it be likable since they are more face paced.)
I fully understand and agree but if you mean I’m not staying in the profession’s theme then which one then?
