the level-to-10 argument is bad.
you will have fun with every class probably because something new is always exciting. i had fun with my ranger and regretted it at 80.

I’m not so sure the 1,25s attack speed is a bug I think it is intended and the 0,75s tooltip is just old before they decided on this for balance reasons, longbow would do alot of damage with 0,75s attack speed.

You just listed one of the many reasons why nobody likes ranger OP.

If you play with your wife, go with warrior + guardian.
It’s the safest and you will be able to join every group in the game.

Ranger is good for nothing.
Wether solo or not solo doesn’t matter.
Roll a warrior for PvE.

It’s funny how every post about gw1 mentions that it’s better than gw2.

I built up a super strong dungeon build for my warrior with healing shouts, toughness, 20+ might stacks all the time and so on and so on.
In the end, berserker was still better because monsters died faster.

Ranger IS horrible.
Even the devs know that, just look around in threads.
Anet defenders like the 2 above me will try to tell you otherwise.

No, it’s not. Just play warrior for pve or mesmer/thief for wvw. You don’t need any other class for anything else.
The content in this game is doable with 1-2 classes.

Even worse … the pet provides the thief with an easy target to spam Cloak & Dagger on. If they are specced heavily in shadow arts they can be gaining 600+ hp per second while stealthed as well as stacks of might … this results in the thief being able to soft reset the fight continually through chain Cloak & Dagger and restart it with several stacks of Might … it’s dumb and a horrible oversight in my opinion.

The whole thief class is a horrible oversight.

Who cares about leaderboards?

For PvE, warrior is a must. He’s wanted for every dungeon.
After that, mesmers.
Then Guardians.

PvP doesn’t matter because that’s not where your stuff comes from.

I wan’t exotic quivers grindable through dungeons just to have them for the looks.

Despite thieves in this thread or other classes but warrior might claim, they actually get kicked from important dungeons.
So yes, if you want to PvE and people loving you, you roll a warrior. It’s how this game works.

My advice to you, go reroll a thief and experience their “OP” first hand

The fact that your class can aoe the kitten out of them doesn’t mean the stealth mechanic isnt broken.
You go into stealth for 90% of the time without ANY drawbacks. If you look at other games, with competent developers, you notice that stealth comes with drawbacks like slow movement speed, reveal on hit and so on so you actually have to have a brain when to use it and not just spam stealth and then 222222 for 1337 frags.

- Toggle player titles

It’s probably just a stealth exploiting food buffed power/precision/toughness specced thief.
You don’t need skill to kill other classes with a build and class like that so don’t worry. They are overpowered as kitten.

The answer is like any other answer related to ranger.

Play another class.
Fixes every ranger bug and problem.

Who cares about spvp?
You can make a lvl 1 alt and jump into it with whatever class you want anyway, no need to level to 80.
99% of the stuff you need comes from PvE because the developers hate WvW players and wont give them anything for their playtime.

And no enjoying it with lvl 46 is not the same at level 80 because you don’t know other classes and how other classes at 80 perform because exspecially then, the dungeon grinding starts and nobody wants you.
