I wish I had read the forums before doing this again on an alt, I wouldn’t have replayed it. I’m so disappointed, this pretty much kills the rest of the LS content for me. I’ve been playing rarely as is, only coming back long enough to do the new LS and get the other armor on alts.

What if I want 600, or 700? Why should I be stuck with 100-200 gems because the only option available is 800? Honestly I’d also like to see lower increments for buying gems with money. Outfits are 700, masks are 500 but I have to buy 800. :|

So it’s not off the loot table yet?

I’ve only seen them up a couple of times this past week. So that’s not entirely possible, either. Not to mention that it would take close to $200 to do that. I would certainly not buy it for that much.

I would also hands down straight up buy the permanent hair kit for gems.

I wish they would make it permanent.

I just wonder why a really unimportant item like this hair style kit (WTF are we all 16 year old lipstick chicks) is one of the most expensive items in the game. I changed my hairs once or twice and cost me 250 gems each. Really guys, GET A GRIP!

I think a lot of people just want the hair stylist cause they can sell it for 3k+ gold.

I just want to be able to change my hair like, daily. ;(

I hope so because if not I just wasted 10 keys. ;~; Though, the keys are the part that’s in the gem store, not the chests, so.

I would be fine with cosmetic/pet bonuses for buying gems. I buy gems regularly, as long as there’s a set of armor that I like on the gem store that’s reasonably priced. If they start putting p2w items in the store, I will no longer play the game. I’ve played other p2w games, and pvp will just become worse.

This is probably the one item that I would pay 2000 gems for. Though, the likelyhood of them releasing in the gem store… I’m not going to hold my breath, or anything.

Nooooo my Mad King boots are the best ever and now I can’t wear them separately.

I love everything about this except the tonic thing. I would really like town clothes to remain somewhat as they are, because I mix and match sets. Like I use the Mad King boots with my short shorts and blouses. I’m honestly disappointed whenever a new costume comes out and you can’t mix and match, like with the Bloody Princes.

It’s not really a ‘free’ update if people spend gems and convert them to gold for them or play the game more to get said gold. They’ve already done it for human T3, and if other races could wear them previously when you transmuted them, it means those models and ‘reworks’ are already there. It’s a matter of getting them to release the restrictions.

Or they could make cultural armors available across the board.

I suspect mine went through so fast because there were no special circumstances. I had put the skins onto a crap set of armor so I didn’t need to ask for any trans stones, splitters or makeover kits, etc.

I would suspect they are indeed handled in the order they are received but if it is a simple request for a refund of gems and has all the info they need to find the account immediately it is probably handled by the person who first receives the ticket. If something more is require, I would suspect, it probably gets sent on to the next level and that, of course, would take longer.

I did the same thing, put the skin on low level white armor, but I still haven’t gotten a refund.

You’d have to include all of that in your ticket. Some got their makeover kits back.

This event is more of a hassle than Tequatl. People will complete this once, and then never bother again. And I think a lot of servers might not even be able to complete it at all.

Here’s something I don’t get: Last time I checked, Team Speak was an external program, and not a part of GW2. So why are these events being designed with Team Speak in mind?

And exactly that was said about Tequatl as well, and now I can complete it multiple times each day if I want to.
Without ever joining a TS server.

You have a right to complain about prices, just as people have a right to complain about Prada and their insane pricing. I am going to point out to you that your complaints are meaningless and why effort of creation has little impact on desirability and pricing of said items.

Also, if enough people complain, they will lower prices. Just like when people complained about Flamekissed, they took it down.

Need to correct you on a couple of things:

1) People had a valid complaint about the Flamekissed armor.

2) People can complain all they want. But if they are in the minority, and the item sells, there’s no reason to revisit the base pricing.

1) Just like people have a valid complaint that it’s being changed after they bought it.

2) Who says they’re in the minority? Quite a few people are posting they don’t like it. There are even more people who won’t buy it, and say nothing. Do you have graphs that show how many people are buying this? No, because that would only be available to an ANET employee.

I assumed it was going to be exactly what the icon says. But nope. So not paying 500 for that. I didn’t even buy the other masks for 400. Also, the purpose of voicing displeasure about it is so that they know you’re not buying it and why, then do better. It’s better to not buy it and say ‘I don’t like it, so I’m not buying it for x reason’, rather than not actually buying it and them not knowing why.

Remember when the top hat and glasses were only 200? Now head/hat skins are 400-500?

Yeah looking at the item in the gem store it just says ‘uniform’. So I dunno. I’ll find out later when I get to have it!

For costumes, I’d like to see them be separate items. It would be super cool if I could wear the Bloody Prince boots with another costume. Just like you do with regular armor, we should be able to mix and match!
Also I’d like to see more pants/shirts (costumes) options in the gem store for costumes!

I love this outfit! the only beef I have is that it doesn’t look like the costume has a separate top and bottom. I like mixing my outfits!

Exactly, EU has their taxes built in. You know what you’re paying, tax and all. Right now on the gem store, it still shows $10. It doesn’t show you what you’d be paying in tax, if at all. Which is my point. If they’re going to be charging taxes, the pricing needs to reflect that. In-game, there’s no ‘fine print’ about taxes at all.

If they’re going to start charging tax as well, the least they can do is factor that into the price listing on the store. You really have no idea if you’re going to be taxed unless you go through it since the changes.

I actually can’t use my debit card, or my husband’s. My husband can use it for his account just fine. Luckily we have paypal.

I’m just amused that the people who flew all the way out there aren’t complaining as much as human t3. It certainly cost them more to get it, and it’s an exclusive!!

I would love it if they’d just put it in the store. I don’t buy keys to play RNG, because it’s RNG.

Apparently T3 was the worst offense though. Nevermind the WvW tokens you need or the karma you need to get the armor sets. Nevermind that they’re rehashed skins.

So sad this is going away. I don’t have much faith in the ‘new’ skin, looking at the other two up in the gem store.

You can start in any starting zone you want. It’s called going to a nearby city and using the Gates. Ta da, now you can be a Sylvari in the human starting area. gasp
You don’t choose your voice-acting. All male and female of each individual race has the same voice actor. All Human females sound the same, all male humans sound the same.
You can roll a Charr that looks like a human. It’s called rolling a human. There are no racial differences except for appearances. Everyone gets the same class choices, same access to the rest of the armor. The only difference is racial skills, which amounts to all of about six skills. Most of which are healing. And they’re all on par with one another.

So in fact, the game is already homogenized, save for cultural armor, racial skills (which you lose in PVP), and appearances. Your only leg to stand on is the racial skills. Oh, and personal stories, which you failed to mention.

I agree with getting rid of restrictions of Cultural armor. I always thought it was silly.

I bought it because I liked the look of it on my character. The character is not human, and it should definitely not be given to just humans who complain they have spent the money on it. I spent the money on it, too. Not only that, but it would mean that humans have -two- versions of T3 and that would unbalance the rest of the races.

Why would I make a human for the set when I specifically bought it for another character. No it shouldn’t be available if it can’t be available to everyone.

I also bought the set. I don’t have access to T3 human that I got the set for. So no, it can’t be put on T3 humans either. I also spent real money on the set, and I can’t get that money back either. So why should you get it on T3 when I can’t get it at all?

Yep. If they put it on T3 humans I’d be doubly mad. Mad that I lost in the first place and mad that they gave it to them. No. T3 should stay as is.

They should take the other two armors off, too. It looks too much like the other sets.

I agree, no limits on cultural armor. If you have the gold to spend, you should be able to grind for it. I’m a Sylvari, and arguably the TA gear looks better than most my Cultural. So I’ll gladly trade to get access to the others.

They should, but no one’s complaining as loud over the other two sets as they did the light one.

They’re not going to make a brand new skin for it. They’re going to take another skin, rehash it and add fire. It’s just not going to be T3 anymore.

After reading more opinions on this matter, yeah… i no longer agree with the removal of this skin.

I never considered the fact that other players would then purchase dyes/ makeovers to fit with the armor yet alone replace existing rare skins. Those players who in good will supported this game are now being punished for making a purchase. These players are now facing the possibility of losing their original armor skin and any further investments they had made to their characters asthetics.

I find it funny how the exact same thing happened in another game and has been loved ever since (mostly). You know that hat i purchased, well now its an unusual with particle effects…better demand the removal of unusuals…oh wait.

Honestly i dont see why Anet dont just make an upgrade vendor, allow owners of the 100g set to trade in their parts + some gems. I would have loved to have seen reskins of the other T3 variants.

Yesterday i bought this armor and Self-Style Hair Kit spending gold, and Abyss dye for my new elementalist that i just start playing, because the armor fits the class.
Now they want to replace it, and looking the medium and heavy armor, i don’t have any hope it will look good.

This is why they can’t refund us properly.

Yep. Because of the way medium and heavy sets look like, I already know I’m getting a refund. Too bad this became my favorite set for my Redvari already.
