They could fix the problem by making raids easy enough to Random PUG, making difficulty scales like fractals have, making a story/easy mode, etc, etc. They have ways to solve the current issues surrounding raids.

Nothing you mentioned will allow new players to find groups on the LFG to raid with. And to do the current Raids.

Sure it would, with more people doing raids coupled with less requirements to join their groups, more people will be able to join find and raid PUG LFM’s.

Its pretty simple to see how it would work.

You don’t have to look far away if you want to find out why. Ask yourself, do all those difficulty scales of Fractals help anyone find a group for T4 or CM? No they do not.

By the same token, it’s very easy to get a T2 fractal group going, just put up an LFM, and they fill (I joke you not) within seconds of posting. So more people can enjoy fractals, and those that want hard stuff can do that.

Difficulty Scales have made fractals easy and approachable by new players, and enjoyable by casuals that are more then happy to hover at T2 or T3, and just do that for daily and thus build a bulk population for those that want to do fractals, while allowing elitist their little corner playground of T4.

So the solutions are out there, and have already been successfully put into the game.

It’s just that Anet does not care, so, they won’t fix the problem, and anyone not ok with that, can opt to move on to some other game, because that is just the way things are here.

I completely disagree with you.I believe raids should be challenging, and people should put effort and learn, because that makes them worthwild.If you aren’t going to put efford don’t bother.Also:I wish you played everquest so you would get destroyed haha because everquest is raid based and good luck getting gear in a world that is static.

So i was looking at the meta build and yeah the boon convert is amazing, but only reason i would use it is for that.Its just that for the boon corrupt on enemies who don’t even last long, it seems hardly worth it

IF and i mean “IF” that weak skill gets that person killed repeatedly, and thus you cannot finish the level, then wouldn’t it be a bad idea to use a weak skill? Sure its fine to use a weak weapon you love, so long as you are able to survive, but there are going to be certain things more meta than others.I am not following meta advice on going fractals.My build is scepter/Dagger and staff, but it works for fractals, and that is mainly i don’t feel like using GS because i’m a condi build, and i don’t wanna be pigeonholed into 1 weapon.

Im personally not sure about what vesica says.

When i join a group i don’t automatically have to trust everyone, they have to prove to me they are trustworthy by doing the job well.Its best not to assume anything and just wait and see and if i see that something that is easy for me cannot be easily done with them i tell them:hear me on this please, you should take this advice and it will be easier.Or them to me for an example is exceptable, as long as we don’t berate eachother which is childish but i don’t see why i should automatically trust anyone.

And its not because of being self centered, but rather because everyone has different intentions and some people play fairly fast and don’t want to help others, which i don’t like.I actually left a group because i got frustrated because i kept being knocked off platforms so i left my fractal group.Not because they were bad, but because they all just wanted to rush through and not willing to stop to help.

Other times a person might join a group and not enter the fractals.Should i automatically trust he will enter? why?

Nightmare/Trapper is 25% to all conditions, but it is recommended in WvW due to also increasing your chills, fears, and cripples.

There is no wrong choice, it just depends on what you want to be.

Mesmer playstyle:Very complex lots of cc and good burst.
Necromancer:Good boon corrupt and condi corrupt also can be a pet class.Elite super tanky to the point where you can survive a lot longer than any class.

Ranger:Most desired healer for raids, and you get loads of pets and fun burst with arrows.New spec might make power viable, and condi is viable too.

Ele:Great at stability and mobility and utility and great damage.Go with scepter/horn you can use number 4 run around while casting chain lightning and the damage goes up and you can eventually see 20k damage.Tempest also adds tons of survivability.

I haven’t played much of thief except in pvp.Very squishy, but super mobile and great damage.Very annoying to kill and people hate to fight thieves, so if you want to be a royal pain you can play thief.

but i’m literally jumping from spot to spot still being hit, even when i try to dodge.I’m not even running around, i’m trying to move from spot to spot slow.The circles sometimes overlap leading to no safe spot, and the circles are often very close together.

Mai trin seems overpowered, i can beat chaos observatory nightmare, yet mai trin gives me trouble when you get the cannon part.it seems completely random and i can’t seem to survive.

I played ele necro ranger mesmer and thief in pvp

Not good at ele and ranger mesmer and thief.Furthermore, my thief and mesmer are low lvl.

I can from experience speak more about necro, and i have been playing around a lot more with my ele than my ranger.

Eles meta build is a defensive build.I feel as if there are too many condies to cleanse, and leads to massive frustration.I noticed that i can break stuns and get away fairly easily, and am more survivable than necro.Its also fun to be the one chasing down enemies and crippling them.

Ranger:I did more pve than pvp, but i did some early stuff with power and a bit with healer druid spec.It feels survivable but i get a bit of trouble with crippling effects.Healing can be insane if timed right, because with avatar it will be tough to take down a skilled ranger even in rated.

Thief:Thief feels soo squishy compared to ranger necro and ele, but feels amazing to disengage and run around stealthing.i feel that if i try to stab people i often will get meleed down due to low health.I also tried a bit more of deadeye and with ranged sniper it does incredible damage if you aren’t being chased by thieves who are using daredevil staff or d/p, because escapes feel few.I went with because of consultation from a more experienced thief traps such as invisibility trap and tripwire.I have learned that a deadeye thief with P/P can do insane damage, but you better be good and be ready for invulns, unless you are attacking a necro.Even good necros are a threat to thieves, because i learned from playing that outside of stealth you don’t heal, and it i believe with the right build removes conditions and crippling effects.

Necro:This is the one i’m most familiar and comfortable with.In random spvp its a pain, especially vs mesmers guardians and thieves.combined together and you can expect corpse camping of the necro.If however that necro has support from his teams, you are in trouble as a thief.I can corrupt your boons make a fear trap and then dot you up and kill you.Guardians are a lot tougher, as they got so much defensive cooldowns its hard to 1v1 them.I realize that you can corrupt their boons and all that, but in a stressfull situation where you are being focused on by that guardian, i would prefer to just run and not deal with him, it just isn’t worth the frustration.Mesmers give me the same feeling of pain.While these classes are painful to fight against, lets try to keep this level headed and think from the thieves point of view:He’s squishy and if we condi him he dies right? The thieves are doing what they are supposed to do:Run around and wreak havok.

Reasons Bligher’s does need a nerfbat:

  • a-net is very reluctant to boost heals through shroud without nerfing something in return.
  • Blighter’s is not pure heal – it also generates life force. Sanctuary doesn’t.
  • Sanctuary requires actual healing power investment. Bligher’s? Spam more boons!
  • Nerf core trait for sake of one elite – all other elites and core builds suffer due to underpowered core spec!

Sure you want to have your cake and eat it – get better Unholy Sanctuary with no nerfs to bligher’s. But that’s not how it works – to make this omlet you need to break a few eggs!

And also core necro needs some more love – love that reaper’s should get less of, as they have their own reaper traitline already.

You really want to nerf an already mediocre grandmaster trait that only halfway works with the spite line due to the severe lack of boon application? Seriously, the problem here is ALL in the deathmagic line.

A defensive, selfish grandmaster trait that scales with healingpower belongs into BLOODMAGIC, the traits that prolong the duration and heavily influence the duration you wanna be in shroud belong into SOUL REAPING.

Death Magic needs pure defensive feats, not strictly connected to shroud. It needs to get rid of the minion traits, these cost a lot of space and “power” they can give that traitline without even affecting 95% of the builds.

It needs a reliable and usefull “on stun” trait, n AOE fear on a 60s CD with 360 range does not work at all when you get stunned from long range. The other professions “on stun” traits always provide a reliable benefit, our fear has a very long cooldown, is unreliable and has too much counterplay in order to be of any use, the only reason people pick it is because the lack of reasonable options.

It also needs a reliable anti burst and anti CC mechanic of sorts.

But death magic is also about pets.Shouldn’t it have loads of stuff for pets? I want pets to be awesome so we use them more and it could be fun in pve and pvp running around with a million pets.

As for healing related stuff:no please, i agree keep in blood magic traitline

I dueled with a guardian in WVW and he constantly blocked my shouts and i couldn’t corrupt his boons, and he kept downing me, and it seemed like it was never down.

This seems massively overpowered and needs a nerf in my opinion

I almost explicitly take Spiteful Spirit when running Spite. That said, I wouldn’t take it in PvE because for mobs that matter, Close to Death is worth more. It’s easy enough to control boons in PvE with scepter autos, Focus offhand, Chill of Death, etc.

i suppose i could corrupt a few boons on a target at a time, but i was thinking of specifically:Cliffside tier 2 and 3 where boons are massive, and require more control when having multiple enemies.It can get pretty nuts.I’l have to test out close to death.

But that would need to be balanced for all.If you make one class cast slower but melee for an example can spam attacks and add billions of condi you have a problem.What about burn guards? How do you deal with how thieves add condi by dodging?

Also:The signet that casts condis and blind has a cast time and a cd before it can be used.

I think one way would be to limit in pvp how much conditions can be added to a target thus limiting dmg, and making other effects still useful.The idea that rolling takes fire effect off or torment only dealing dmg while moving is a nice idea, but if poison deals no damage again, then it will have to be buffed in the reduction of healing, making it useful against enemy teams.Thieves who depend on poison would also need buff in being able to add bleeds which already do less damage than poisons torment and burn.

Also would need to be careful not to kitten up pve and kill necros.I know condis are a pain and necro cd for giving blind and condis sucks, but its a legit way of doing dmg.

But you got to make sure it works in pve too.Also one person said earlier:If condies are nerfed then the defenses against it such as cleanses and resistance need to be nerfed too.Resistance is corruptable i believe, so thats a start. but revenants resistance is a very strong anti condi tool, especially for wvw.

Also:You would have to buff necros survivability a lot so they can survive long enough to see people die from condis.

um healing power i hear has some sort of effect on increasing total barrier and scourge is all about barrier and barrier sharing, so some sort of healing power is going to be there, and pretty much every class is having some amount of barrier.Eles can get barrier by rolling and using one of their earth attacks for about 8k if they use it right.

Lowering the dmg in pve will just make the overal dmg lower as well.Sure we got power but power only effects the regular hits.Its like one of my guildies said to me:its no used to have loads and loads of ferocity but very little precision or loads and loads of precision and ferocity and low power.

Low power but super high crit and crit chance:your hits might as well do normal damage as if no crits were done.

Low crit rate and super high crit damage:The crits are so low its rare, unless you are talking about something comparable to like world of warcraft how crit stat increases damage to be good.Also:I don’t know if this is a good idea for pve, as its already hard to put out enough condis with epi before killing, but this might kill condi necro and make us unwanted in raids.

Also:What about people who run scourge? we will need a completely new set.Scourge necros are going to be running something with some sort of healing on it for the shield and condition dmg.We will be severely crippled by this in pve, possibly to the point of being unwanted in raids.

I’m somewhere in the middle of this argument.

Sifu is obviously not playing a necro so his arguments are biased, just as those who complain about thief shortbow are biased because thieves are killing them.You nerfed their dodge and dodge poison and condi build is super viable now and you want that nerfed.

If condi classes get nerfed(necros at the frontline) they need a massive buff in everything else to compensate to make necros viable, as this will kill their viability not just in pve but in pvp.

Power so far is semi viable but its not even completely buffed yet to make it fully raid viable, and in spvp? its a kill or be killed world.If condi gets nerfed its a buff for burst, and there are really bursty classes(deadeye thief) and d/p thieves who run their heart of thorn equivalent who will mess us up, along with guardians and warriors.Its already hard enough to kill those classes because we get bursted down often before we can deliver our full damage without some sort of support, and don’t get me started on the whole unrated because unrated pvp is such in that random people a lot of times ignore you.

Then there is pve:In fractals especially, that burst of the condi is needed to be able to do damage, so if you lets say nerf poison and burn, then bleeds need to be buffed massively to do damage, and it kills scourge necros, because what are scourge necros gonna do in pve? we lose our barrier and our dps will be nerfed into the ground.

There is also rangers:I heard that power ranger is not viable but their strongest is condi, so nerfing them limits them to healing.

You need to aim carefully at the problem with precision like with a scalpel, rather than a chainsaw or a hatchet if you get my drift.

Granted you can maybe get a guild for pvp but the biggest reason is toxicity.
I was actually told to shut up and one person was angry and said he hated necros wanted them to be nerfed into the ground wanted reaper nerfed and wasn’t being objective said we are op cause i was complaining that reaper gets shut down super easy outside of reaper which is a very tanky, but thats a different topic.Another guy was whining about thieves and wanting shorbow to be nerfed and i was like:You guys ever going to be happy? what do you want? thieves to just stand still and be free kills? you wanted them to be nerfed in dodges now they trait dodge into condies and go shortbow and d/p.

Granted there was 1 guy who was nice enough to talk to me after i blocked the trolls, but yeah there are quite a lot em.

also:its a very tough one.10% duration increase for all condies and blinds all enemies when use elite skill vs 20% duration increase on just bleeds and a aoe every 45 sec condi spread vs trapper rune which is this:

I made a group for unranked in the lfg section and there was nobody, and reason was because i was told that i shouldn’t be calling out in map asking for group because i won’t find any or it will be for ranked.I actually did find one once and i said specifically for my druid on non ranked match and it was a thief for ranked.Granted:I had fun.

Solo Q or look for an spvp guild to play with (or friends). I don’t believe the LFG tool is used very much for spvp unranked matches. A) Ranked season is currently going on so serious pvpers are typically playing ranked (solo or duo only) and there is already matchmaking so why make a point of bringing an LFG tool built PUG? You’ll get a PUG just by queuing.

the reason being i want to find a decent team to play with so i don’t die all the time and can have fun.Its no fun being downed in seconds by enemy team cause the random pug don’t care, cause eles are weak vs condies.

BUt if you nerf bleeds that will kill necro, and we are talking about maybe 2.2.5k per turn on 20k healths.

So there is no way to survive as an ele? i’m forced to be babysat? granted i am a support class and going to require team but there is no decent way to deal with condies on ele?

Personally I hated the nerf to epi because its our best resource for aoe.I personally think there should be a unerfed epi completely for pve and a split mode for WVW and pvp.

Its harder to aoe with epi past 5 enemies and targets die so fast, so imho i think that epi should be buffed in cd.I mean complaints are only there because the problem “they” have is because condies are spread by other classes and besides, if ANET actually instead of nerfing epi actually limited how many condies can be on a target to say like:10 in WVW, then we wouldn’t have a problem.

The balance of damage seems to waver back and forth. Condi damage is higher now, to accommodate for cleanses and the fact that so much of their damage is caused by enemies sitting in their fields. Though made for PVP, these changes make it so in PVE a lot of damage can be stacked up.

Personally I still prefer power. For several reasons:

  1. No ramp up. Power is damage instant. Against Siaxx I’ve soloed two vets on power Guardian, but can barely kill a single vet on Condi Necro even though I’m supposed to have 32k DPS.
  2. Greater Utility. A lot of condi builds basically require every utility to be dedicated to condi damage, but power builds frequently have space to include defensive and utility options.
  3. Ease of use. While many enemies will sit in fire fields, many enemies will not. Power builds generally tend to just launch attacks, and aside from the occasional root or field their attacks are adept at chasing running enemies.

For dungeons and fractals, I still find power to be far more useful than condi. The only time condi shines is when I’m fighting an enemy that is going to live a really long time regardless.

Depends.Chilled to the bone is quite useful on harder levels because you got a lot of enemies and some have quite a bit of life.This isn’t too good if you have more than 5 because necro cannot spread more than 5 condies with epi, but epi is very useful for an example in the mech boss in underground facility due to how many adds there are.Whenever you get tons of adds i’l cast epi after spreading some condies to help kill adds faster, and it works great.Only way i might be able to do good aoe is if i use chilled to the bone or maybe staff for having area effects.

Tier 1 up to maybe level 20-25 where agony kicks in is zero agony.Just join and do dps rotation help your team and have fun.If you wish to go above 20 i highly recommend farming ascended.

I don’t know if anyone agrees with me, but whats with the new obsession of ANET in making condi king?

I became a ranger to go power, now i hear oh condi is king go condi.
I go ele and now i find out that for single target in raids, i might need to go condi if there are no adds.

Is anything going to be done to balance it out so power becomes just as viable for single target? Because i really enjoy playing aoe and single target burst ele and power ranger.

I think its just that the dragons and wyverns where flax seeds are up above in the tree are just really hard for every class.Even on my ranger i had to constantly kite them and on my necro i had tor un away to avoid a lot of hits, and its pretty hectic when alone.

So i was told that i shouldn’t go staff.Is staff unviable? I was told that dps on dagger is better.
