Blackgate here, I can tell you one thing… SoS does not need anymore guilds. They outnumber us 2 to 1 on most cases and sometimes even 3 to 1. Its already in there favor, don’t make it worse.

That’s a plain lie. I can tell you that in Blackgate or Jade Quarry borderlands us SoS’ers are always outmanned so badly it takes us 40 minutes just to get 10 people into the server to start a breakout because they have us so badly numbered we can’t take anything. Not to mention that any breakouts we do gets mobbed constantly by 60+ man zergs that just destroys the Seigebreaker Commander like its nothing. 9/10 times we can’t even get Seigebreaker to drop the seige because we can’t hold the point long enough.

Also we rarely have any queues except during peak Oceanic hour times. I’ve been on Blackgate and I can tell you that their home BL as well as EB is always queued 30+ minutes, but most of their commanders are an absolute mess and normally don’t even have one on (not to mention their zerg just likes to bang their heads into gates without seige all day, reminds me of Dragonbrand IMO) that’s why I decided to get back in SoS because they are just that much more organized and better at leading. Jade Quarry I haven’t tried but they seem like a decent bunch and since they had recent large transfers they are rarely ever outmanned anymore and has just as large number of players as us if not more.

I feel like every time I see time people just blantantly lie or absolutely ignorant player shout out disdain to another server I should just show screenshots in-game of all the B.S they are spouting.

P.S I’m not going to point at the server at large but only those who are throwing misinformed or outright thoughtless opinions and put em as facts. I’ve done plenty of dungeons from people from different servers all around they are a decent bunch just hate the few people that give others a bad rep.

Do you want screen shots to prove it dude? I was in EB tonight and we was out manned 2 to 1 from you guys. Its pretty easy to see that you have the best coverage since you are the number 1 server. I would like to see JQ and BG fill coverage gaps and then fight.

My favorite opponent of 2012 would have to be TC. Even though Blackgate has only fought them for alittle over a week now, they are very friendly on the forums and never give up even if they are outnumbered.

SoR’s NA has my respect also. Choo, CDS, TW, TWL, and many others im forgetting. I admit… you guys have better N/A than Blackgate, very strong and very awesome fights! Keep up the good work.

Why is everyone so depressed? Its just a game guys, Tier 2 is always fun and you know there is always a great battle when you walk out into the wvw battlefield. Win or lose I will continue to have fun That’s what its all about.

Okay im getting sick of people saying Thieves are OP. Thieves are meant to be unbeatable 1v1, read the in game description about them, it mentions they are the best for 1v1. I play a thief and i get ate up easily if i go against a group of enemies. Usually if im running with the zerg i pull out my Shortbow and spam long ranged spells. If people knew how to face a thief everything would be okay, but they dont. Example, if thief goes invis with Shadow refuge spell, use your aoe attack in the circle the thief created. Thief is dead within a few seconds. Im sick and tired of people complaining about thiefs, they are perfect how they are, and they are meant to do the most damage out of any class because they are squishy.

Oh and at least Blackgate made it to tier 1

Tier 1 isnt even fun. Tier 2 is where its at. Also you have a chance to kick out a tier 1 server into a tier 2 server BG is where its at.

I thinks its quite funny IoJ took over 2nd best server in tier 2. I would of thought SoR was the better server Guess your whole finger pointing plan backfired on you SoR. Better luck next time.

One thing im still trying to figure out is how BG is pulling ahead of SOR so fast if our potential pts are as close as theyve been ….. as much as i hate to point fingers (thats a lie ) i believe BG is chaeating agn ……. the points arent adding up and i heard they are getting more pts for yak kills than any other realm and im not sure why theyve been at even ##’s with SOR the past 2 days as well, holding the same amount as we have but rocketing past us in overall points. Again id hate to acuse ppl but I believe there is foul play afoot!

This is a good example of a SoR finger pointing. We have very good coverage after you guys go to bed. It allows us to pull a bit of a point difference. You havent had a glitcher or hacker on your server? You act like all of your server is perfect. O.o

Like I said, every server has bad apples. And I guarentee 3/4th of those people who took that portal didnt know it was a glitch to get into a keep. When I see a portal I take it, just to see where it takes me for the fun of it. lol

Congrats to SoS for holding off SBI and JQ, its not an easy thing to do. SBI is known to come back during the weekdays though.. in one night SBI came back from a 20k point lead when Blackgate was #1. I look forward to fighting SoS when Blackgate makes it to tier 1 again.

Blackgate would gladly take you guys. We are actually lacking on N/A guilds because of the people who bandwagoned to either SoS, SBI or JQ. Blackgate is all about the WvW, even if we are out manned we fight and never give up, hence our nickname “Beastgate” We also have a community site and a 1000 slot mumble for all Blackgate users. Whatever server you choose, good luck to you guys!

Nice write up Alsonia, this will help out all kinds of people. As for blackgate we need to do timed attacks like SBI more often for taking supply camps. I didn’t know that about the yaks either, I always kill them when I see them anyway

Not specifically talking to you, Blade, but in general I am okay with people leaving BG. Anyone who gets frustrated enough to leave a server because we’re not winning, is more than welcome to leave BG. They can go ahead and pile onto SBI if winning is that important.

Long term success isn’t won by fair weathered WvWers. There are people I see out there every night, doing their best no matter what the odds. Those are the people I want to fight alongside. Not people who whine about leaving the server if we don’t start winning more. Here, let me open the door for you. We’re better off without you, because eventually you’re just going to leave anyway.

I agree totally with this. Blackgate will go to tier 2, but its okay because we will regroup and come back to tier 1 stronger than ever!

Same thing happened to BlackGate man. When SBI tookover JQ’s #1 server a few weeks ago we lost a lot of people and clans to either SBI or SoS. But Blackgate continues to fight! If you give up, you get what you deserve and you drop tiers because of it. Btw SoS looks like you have to try harder to get to tier 1 to take our spot

I was one of the people hoping for a different matchup this week. I suppose its my own fault for not understanding the rating system. I had just assumed whatever server was #3 moved down a tier so I thought JQ was gonna be swapped out for someone else.

The weekend was fun and we hung in pretty well for the first few days but then the next day I log on and SBI has like a 25k lead. Overnight. Apparently the majority of our late night/early morning crew transferred off.

Still had some fun fights, but it seemed like every time I went to any battleground we were -vastly- outnumbered. Except for EBG of course, which almost always had a queue.

I hope we fight someone different next week. I dont even care who. Just anyone not JQ or SBI. No offense intended, but 2 weeks of the same two opponents just isnt very interesting. I haven’t really played much this week because of it.

We have only really ever fought HoD, ET, and JQ ourselves for the most part. You get used to it though.

Didn’t you guys have some HoD guilds transfer in and power you guys through the tiers? Not saying you don’t deserve to be in T1 but I thought that was what happened.

[DtD] was the HoD clan that helped us get to tier 1. I havent seen them on in 2 or 3 weeks so im guessing they all quit the game though. Sad to see [DtD] and [RQ] go.. they helped so much in NA time…

Blackgate would gladly take you guys. Last week we lost a lot of bandwagoners to SBI, SoS and JQ. We are trying to rebuild the server currently, Blackgate never gives up and we have many good players on the server. Currently we are ranked 3rd but soon we are droping down to 4th due to players leaving our server.

I’m sorry but I think Blackgate put a target on themselves with the bad rep they build before even getting into T1 with all the proclamations of being “Beastgate”, they’re going to be number 1, having people moving to other servers for a few days to mess with rankings because they were “bored”, the general arrogance shown by a lot of Blackgate posters on the various boards.

SBI and JQQ dished out some humble pie the last couple of weeks, hopefully it did some good. A second population implosion happening? Well good luck getting decent guilds this time around and hopefully the trash left with the band wagoners.

Every Server goes though bad apples and band wagoners. The good players are still left in Blackgate and band wagoners and bad apples have left, now is the time we will regroup and make our Blackgate community. We will come back to tier 1 with a vengeance sometime! I look forward to the day we can finally overtake SBI or JQ we just have a lot of work to do.
