To be honest some of them much better then others. Both swords and dagger looks incredible and very close to legendary but staff/scepter not glorious enough.
I don’t want to just hide all the cats. If I didn’t want any cats at all I wouldn’t have gone out of my way to feed some. I just want the ability to change it up. Like “hey it’s winter – time for the snowball cats” or " this week I want to only show all the ginger cats" etc.
Maybe in a some future LS or side story ANet will add giant asuran Cat-Golem to home instance with menu functionality similar to M.O.X. that can control local cat population behavior. Name it C.O.G – cat operation golem
The mobs was definitely pre nerfed. When i first seen Hydras i expected challenging fight but it turned to casual mobs clear like you do in a starter zone while running raid level gear.
Same with a first story mission. I was steamroll with unoptimized starter build with default equipped survival gear.
Alternatively you can just complete pvp or wvw reward track. It gave same box with armor as mastery track.
I just want giant ride able cat. Preferably tabby but black gonna be good good too.
Pros.
Raptor mount just incredible. Amazing handling, i like small inertia when you stop from a full speed, incredible idle animations.
Map look very nice and city remind me Kamadan. I really like that there is some underwater exploration.

I like new mobs (sand sharks and those quaggan/cactus hybrids) and return of old ones like Hydras

Incredibly frustrating and annoying mastery minigame. While it probably can be fun with good twitch skills and excellent ping it turns to horrible torture with 200ms+ lag.
Mobs are way pre nerfed. Hydras was awesome opponents in GW1 and now they are just weak trash mobs. Same with story mission. It takes no effort to steamroll through it even with default build. Its like clearing Quinsdale in a full ascended.
No updrafts at all. Its like all gliding and other skills from HoT was suddenly forgotten and we back into vanilla.

Unid gear. I am just not sure with its current state.. While it have some thrills to id stuff for weapon and possibly other collections i don’t like it’s current pricing.
Last update (4th if i remember correct from Ep3 launch) broke something with game client. Now it crash/hangs each several minutes by turning into black screen with only cursor visible and background music.

Things i seen before game client went crazy with latest updates –
Map looks really nice and i liked that it had some underwater areas. Most latest maps lack any underwater combat.
Story instances really annoying with uberhealthy elite mobs. Even with full ascended zerk they take a lot of really boring time to kill.
After the last update ( Build: Gw2 69,744) game client start crashing each 5-10 minutes.
It just turn screen black with only graphic cursor visible and background music/ambient effects playing. It crashes with any graphic settings from very low to max and in all places – HoT maps, vanilla GW2 maps, personal instances. Just when i tried to gather my resource nodes in Divinity Reach i crashed 4 times in a 10 minutes.
It is possible to close client either by alt-f4 or alt-tabbing and close from taskbar.
I use 64 bit client with latest video drivers for Geforce gtx 980Ti. I run repair option for a .dat file too.
Before last update (including Ep3 and 3 first updates with fixes) game client work flawless and last crashes i remember was at HoT launch before 64 bit client was introduced.
But last 4th update fix that was up yesterday broke something and now it is constant crashfest.
It’s just amazing how many hate and toxicity can be generated by overlapping these two beta maps and adding short countdown until achievements will be unavailable. Please, almighty Devs, before your playerbase get a stroke from a rage or bans for hate speeches do something. At least prolong Capricorn until next season start or add separate queue for different betas.
That is rather disappointing change. I definitely will not buy keys with current items drop rate from a chest. I am already full with useless busters that i don’t need and other junk items chest drop.
Although these new weapons not even animated. Steampunk weapons that don’t have moving parts? I’ll pass.

B average amount pigment salvaged from dye ( 3 for a fine dyes)

If you want to craft brown dyes then somewhat more efficient will be crafting masterworks.
25 potatoes + 25 portobello mushrooms+ nutmeg for karma. While chance to get masterwork not that high if you craft in bulk you will get more then 4 pigments in average.
and place sell bids well under the current low bid for each that will yield 2g6s8c after posting fees and tax for a total profit of 98s75c or 92% of my investment. I could make more if I was a little more selective with the dyes I bought and not undercut the current low sell price by as much as I did.
There is no real point to undercut sell bids more then 1c. Brown pigment sells extremely well even nowadays.

And yes, lot of people sell to buy orders. I bought a lot of old 3-5 tickets skins that way.
1. Buy all 16 Balthazar weapon skins from BLTC
(with current prices that ~400g with buy orders)
2. Use them and you will get 7 BL tickets reward. That is ~57g per ticket.
3. Either save them for some future collection, grab something you really like or get some older skins and sell them to cover Balthazar collection cost.
(For example Dominator staff skin worth 2 tickets and sells for ~150g)
I’d like to salvage stack option as well. Just like consume all option for luck. That would be extremely useful with salvaging dyes and salvageable ore stacks.
That is correct if we have unlimited dye supply. Then profit percentage beats coin profit. But with pigments we have limited supply per day. Because of that 100 fine dyes priced at 10s with 50% profit percentage will give us 5g profit. And 100 fine brown dyes even with lesser % will gave us 10-15g.
Also sell rates for non brown dyes much slower and their supply usually 2-3x times more then browns.
So, my experience is that this market is drying up quickly.
Funny enough it is still unbalanced. Actually it became even better then it was month ago.
Currently average profit from fine brown dye increased to 10-15s per dye (25-30s per dye that salvages to 3 (average) pigments that sells for16s 16*3-15%=40s )so with 24 different fine brown dyes and their daily supply around 100-150 units per color you can get ~300g/day if you relist buy orders fast enough to stay on top. Strangely enough ANet still not nerfed that salvage business.
You are correct. Most profits come from a brown dye salvaging.
Average salvage rates for masterwork dye ~6.5 pigments
rare dyes salvage to ~10.5 pigments per dye
That means that with a current brown pigment price 25-26s you will gain profit if you bought rare brown dye for less then (25.5*10.5-15%)=2.27g per dye bottle and
for masterwork browns less then (25.5*6.5-15%)=1.41g per dye bottle
Some masterwork brown dyes are:
Walnut, Lemon shade, Wheat, Cashmere, Cream shade, Refresh, Nickel, Dark chocolate, Mocha, Truffle
Rare dyes: Mithril, Cocoa, Charcoal, Chocolate, Ivory etc
If you notice that buy orders fluctuates wildly in a short amount of time that means another round of trade pvp going on when several traders try to force each other out of market.
Easier way to deal with it either wait a little or dedicate hour or two to force them quit/got a stroke. Best way for that either monitor price closely and overbid by 1copper or when they try to clear field by posting high buy bid post yours 1 copper less locking their price and forcing them either buy on unfavorable terms or back up.

Well you are mostly correct in your analysis although somewhat underestimated profits.
I did a quick check of my market activity and after separating dye salvage from my other trade activities it looks like i got ~580g from salvaging after spring update went live.
Why not do a some little experiments? When i found that dyes can be salvaged i did several tests to figure salvage rates, dyes/pigment color relationship etc.
(Hint. you can use dye screen from hero panel to figure out to which specter each dye belongs)

That was bound to happen, considering the lowered dependency on brown dyes for scribing due to last patch changes.
Actually prices even goes up after update. At least for most traded ones like brown.
No more so than buying white/blue/green gear, salvage it and sell the mats for twice as much as the piece of gear. But not enough people can be bothered to do that or simply don’t know that’s the better choice than just selling it on the TP to the high bidder or Gods forbid an NPC vendor.
Well, actually little more then that. Just after spring update goes live i bought some dyes that was dumped in huge quantities to BLTC from that 80lvl boost. Average profit per one rare brown dye salvage was ~1-1.5g and about 0.5-1g per masterwork. I’d really like to see any white/blue/green that give that amount of gold per salvage.
That market was way too unbalanced. If you can buy dye by sell price, salvage it, sell pigment for buy price and still make a lot of gold it is definitely wrong.
I meant that all characters have their own birthdays when they receive gifts from ANet. 3th year old characters got their selectable dye pack last time. So if you have several old characters you will get several gifts/dye packs etc.
You will lose birthday gift for that character. If that character old enough these gifts can be valuable. At least 3th year gift was awesome.
When you salvage dye with salvage kit (any kit works and all kits give same amount of salvage) you get pigments.
Dye salvages to pigment same color as dye was. Brown dyes – brown pigment, red -red except for gray dyes that can be salvaged to either white or black pigment.
Fine dyes salvage to 2-4 pigment
Masterwork salvage to 5-8 pigment
Rare salvage to 9-12 pigment
Usually selling price for a pigment more then selling price for a dye. For example if you salvage rare brown dye you will get 9-12 pigments that will sells for ~ 2.5-3g while selling rare brown dye directly will net you 1.5-2.2g
With 19th April update comes scribing cost rebalance.
One of most significant part of scribing price being brown pigment that used in nearly all recipes. Because of that it much more expensive than rest of pigments. (~25-28s vs 5ish for the rest)
After update it use probably will be reduced to a more reasonable amounts that will make scribing costs much more affordable. Or other pigments will be used for basic recipes as well instead of brown only)
That pigment mostly comes from brown specter dye salvaging (uncommon dyes 2-4, masterwork 5-8,rare 9-12 pigments per salvage)
So i think prices for these brown dyes and pigment itself will crash a lot and finally be at level with a rest of dyes and pigments.

Maybe you should try a more tanky character build with some anti-cc utilities?
I run around TD literally hours exploring and hardly remember any mobs that was able to stop me. I was able either kill them or just evade and run through. Used warrior with knight armor and zerk trinkets.
Yesterday i got Ley-Energy Matter Converter and unlocked all its tabs. Today after reset unlocks gone and vendors sell them again. Is that intended feature or bug because paying 125 ley crystals for daily unlock and then getting 10 crystals from a daily purchase looks pretty strange and useless.
Now, after seen these chak weapons i so want to have chak as playable race. Or at least chak inspired living armor and backpiece.

Looks like T4 night rewards always include bladed chest box. I get them each successful t4 night meta. So far 3 in a row.
Windows 7 Ultimate x64. i7, 12gb ram, 4gb GTX 980. Client fully downloaded and verified with -repair option. Constant crashes each 10-15 minutes in high populated areas with graphics set to high. Stable with low detail performance setting.
Game still crashes all the time with these out of memory errors…

After a last update it was even worse. Instead of crashing ( at least i was able to submit crash reports) it now completely freezes and require killing process with task manager.

Having a lot of crashes since launch of HoT. Game crashes at least once per hour and nearly always at boss fights like Karka queen, Teq or Wyverns.
Definitely not memory issue because i run Win 7 x64 on i7 with 12 gb ram and GTX 980.
All drivers up to date. Tried client repair with -repair option. Tried lower graphic settings (either autodetect that set anything to high or manually to lowest possible) still crashes. All logs sent through bug reporting option at crash screen.
I really like HoT expansion and it features but i think a got more crashes to desktop then i had in a 10 years GW and GW2 gaming history combined. Client crashes at almost any world bosses and zergs so i am practically forced to play solo mode avoiding crowd.
And it definitely not hardware problem because i play on i7 with 12gb ram, gtx980 and 64bit OS. When i, as suggested Gaile in one of topics, use option to auto select settings game set it to max. When i manually turn on lowest possible graphic settings game turns to an ugly hell but still crashes.
I so hoped to play on weekend and got such a let down….
I have very similar crash issues with error logs too full with strings like that

Game crashes at least once per hour, mostly when in zerg or world boss fights.
I think i encountered more crashes today then i had in a 10 years GW 1 and all lifetime of GW 2 combined.
And yes, i checked drivers for new version, checked integrity of game client with -repair option etc.
I have i7 with 12gb ram (W7 x64 Ultimate) and gtx980 so when i selected recommended graphics setting it turn anything to a max.
Try to do it when server have lighter load, for example early morning hours.
Last night i tried to get one of crystals that was on the last platform of a chain that starts near trader’s docks. (One where you need to manually pull on a first platform then assisted pull 4 or 5 more)
I think i tried more then 50 times. That skill always overshoot. Sometimes i got through 2-3 platforms but do all of them was impossible.
Add an alternate way to acquire tickets. Ones that not require RNG hell.
For example allow to purchase ticket for a lot of laurels. Like 150+ per one.
Not a month. If you check GW website you will find that new event will start 20.06
So its a week long event only
Maybe he just want perma bank or trader access? And don’t care at all about hairstyle kit?
For example, if i accidentally get that hairstyle kit and it will be account bound i will thrash it immediately because for me it useless junk and waste of space. But if it freely tradable i will sell it and buy stuff i want, perma trader or perma bank. See a point?
