Let me add my thanks to the list!
Very nice presents indeed!
I hope the coming year will be great for you and for us!
With the kind of useless junk I got from the two free ones we were offered, it convinced me to never invest one cent in that crap.
Not a very good way to entice your players to buy more.
I think the price in euros also include the European Union value added tax (VAT)
If you take the time to gather most of the mats yourself, the cost will be much lower that 2k.
We see a very similar boat on the loading screen when entering Bloodtide coast.
On the contrary, it succeeded wonderfully. The game is still going strong with most of the core components of the original game (no traditional trinity, no competition for nodes, shared loot, no gear treadmill, play as you like to earn rewards, etc)
“Play as you like to earn rewards” = false.
Many things force you to play raid, or fractals or wvw if you want to earn them. Even if you don’t want to.
A lot of the older players were drawn into the game by the so called “manifesto”. And they failed on a lot of points on it.
GW2 is not a bad game, but it’s far from what many of the first players expected it would be.
With today’s patch, are there any blocking bugs left?
Well, contrary to what they pretend in the patch note, the grawl firestone bug is still not fixed.
A lot of players are still unable to get it.
Fix failed.
Unless “replaying the quest” means redoing the whole living story episode up to that point? Which would NOT be a reasonable way to fix your bug.
Easy fix : award one grawl firestone upon completion of the daily heart.
Same as the above too.
Thanks for the info, Charrbeque.
Same bug as the previous posters…

Just complete the Aurene training mission.
It was fun, and it was so cuuuuuute to see Aurene escort and guiding the wounded soldiers to the safe zone.
Please give my congratulations the animator(s) in charge of Aurene. They did very well in giving her a playful and excited little young dragon attitude!
So far, I’m enjoying much more the new format of the living story. More spaced episodes, but more involving storywise.
Why don’t you use your official forum for that instread of a third party website?
And a lot of players have the same problem apparently, while others don’t
Why don’t you provide also more details on your OFFICIAL forums, instead?
Maybe Reddit signed a contract with Anet so they must use Reddit as their primary posting forums?
I too find it annoying that the devs are using almost exclusively Reddit to communicate with the community instead of their official forums.
The only official who post here regularly is Gaile Gray.
They will probably start Wintersday in mid-December, so my feeling is that it will not happen before mid-january of 2017.
Or makes runes and sigils salvageable like armors and weapons
Hi all,
Additionally, with this map being as profitable as it is, a lot of players have started triggering diminishing rewards. That’s just not cool. So we disabled diminishing rewards on this map.
Thanks for this good move.
But DR is not cool anywhere on any map.
Why not remove it entirely from all maps?
Thanks but as you can see the other modes are not a solution for many of us, I see other players as allies, not competition, so PVP is out.
There are a few PVP servers open to everyone which are set up specifically to allow players to cooperate to complete their daily.
What I liked :
- The story : it was a bit too short, but entertaining.
- The speed at which the various events occurs : you seldom find yourself without anything to do.
- The lava tubes : great way to travel fast from one point to another.
- The various tone of the different areas : humorous in the Skritt and the Circus areas, more dramatic in the Muursat one.
- The general look of the area : very well designed. It’s good to be back into a flat zone for a bit, instead of the more confusing multi-layered ones.
What I did not liked :
- Putting mursaat tokens into the jumping puzzle. JP should be entirely optional. Items for a success inside it was a bad idea.
- The price of the Circus weapon ; way too high.
- The time gating on the circus vouchers. It takes ten days to get 10 to be able to have a reduced price on the overpriced circus weapons.
Overall, I would give the episode a solid 8/10.

Awesome.
Why are Arenanet team posting server status on Reddit but not even able to do the same on their OFFICIAL forum?

As for myself, I get a message telling me that GW2 is full and that I’m in a queue and will enter the game when space is available.
Creating new mobs requires a lot of resources, and I have the feeling most of those resources are currently affected to the next expansion.
It’s easier to simply put in an existing mob (karkas…), or to reskin one.
I doubt any hydra or dryder will make it to ring of Fire this time.
Forcing players into a game mode they dislike is never a good idea.
And it goes both ways.
Instead of forcing PvE players into WvW, they should have given the opportunity to WvW players to obtain legendaries without having to do Pve chores.
I hate pve i love pvp. I hate pvp i love pve.

The problem is A net operates on the view that PVP is the center of the game. Everything is balanced for PVP
I guess they are still hoping to make GW2 one of the major E-sport games on the planet.
Yeah, it seems like a staffer could maybe come into one of these threads and tell everyone how it’s supposed to work, so we don’t wonder.
Maybe they don’t know either and they are looking for an answer.
Edit: Also I’m pretty sure the prize money for the PvP tournaments comes from the sponsors.
Who is sponsoring GW2 PVP tournaments?
Or maybe the rollback somehow broke the NPC’S timing.
She’s on a yearly schedule.
Come next year at 5th anniversary for a follow-up to this current event.
Considering this is the first major boo boo bug in a LOOONG time, I think they are actually do quite well.
But on the other hand, I don’t remember a GW2 patch or update that did not required a fix for something soon after being implemented on the game servers.
Why is everyone so worried about GW2 being at only 15 Billion Won? I think its great and I am sure that Nc Soft would agree with me. One dollar is equal to a little over 1000 Won. In one quarter of a year GW2 raked in profits alone over 13 million dollars (American) That is not small chump change that’s A lot of money for only a quarter year.
Those numbers are SALES, not PROFITS.
Sales figures are irrelevant. A company can makes 13 millions in sales an still be in the red at the end of the fiscal year. Another company can makes 500.000 in sales in a year and be quite profitable.
What really matter is the net profits a company makes. Not the sales.
The only thing those numbers tells us is that their sales dropped a lot since previous quarter. And 50% drop in sales is not good news.

Expect an announcement for the start of the development of Guild Wars 3 later this year.
- They are trying to shorten the time between expansions.
I don’t see how they can accomplish that unless they hire new employees (very unlikely) or they remove some workers from current projects to allocate them to the expansion development team.
The problem is that the longer you wait to start LS3, the more likely you are to find yourself in a mostly empty map.
Question is now : which ones of these changes will be nerfed soon?
I doubt they will be able to keep players’ interest in the game with a 2 or 3 months interval between chapters. Moreso if the content is done in less than an hour or two, like the previous LS chapters.
Unless they add regular little events like the leylines and bandits ones they added in the last few weeks.
As long as MY server is not stuck with the Desert map…..
1. 2. WvW and PVE should be tightly connected. For example if situation on BLs and EB is bad for your server, you get major debuff in PvE like penalties to gold gain, magic find, higher WP costs, higher TP fees etc.
Then it should works both ways.
For example, if your server fail a PVE event or if a PVE boss is left alive for too long, you get major debuff in WvW like penalities to damage dealt to enemies and ennemies’ structures, reduced drop from enemies slain, blocked waypoints, slower yaks, etc.
I think real life events should be left out of the game.
Otherwise, if Anet choose to do a tribute ingame for this event, why not doing one for all the other tragedies that happens elsewhere in the world?
Such as :
- Close to 100.000 Syrian civilians were killed so far in the civil war that goes on there.
- on March 6, 2016, a bomb explodes in Hilla (Irak), killing at least 60 people and injuring 70 others.
- on 31 October 2015, a bomb explodes abord the Metrojet Flight 9268 , killing a total of 224 people, consisting of 217 passengers, of which seventeen were children, and seven crew members.
All those death are also victims of injustice, they all had family, relatives, friends. They too deserves recognition. Should something be done ingame for every such saddening event that happens IRL?
They should add a NPC that trade one type of crafting material for another of the same tier.
This would make all material of the same tier have the same value, so no type of gear would be at a disadvantage over another.
It would stabilize the crafting material market.
When you look at some of the charr’s vehicles, a motorcycle would not be out of place lore wise.
And it’s not even peak hour.
Imagine the mess it will be in a few hours when everyone will be trying to complete these success.
I miss the good old time when one of the selling points of this game was “play the way you like”.
Now it’s more and more “play the way Arenanet want”.
I expect the production value and story telling is going to improve greatly because of the length they are taking to make it.
Sadly, it means nothing. It could mean they are putting very little manpower on it right now and having most of their devs working on the expansion instead.
I don’t expect much from it myself. It will most likely only serves as a sales pitch for the next expansion, like the previous LS was.
You don’t need cliffhangers to get people to stay with the story.
You need a good story to keep people with the story.
And continuous cliffhangers is not a good story.
The main goal for the next season will not be to tell a story. It will be to serves as a teaser for the next expansion. There will be a cliffhanger.
I don’t expect season 3 to start before late August / early September.
I doubt they will release it in the summer, which is generally a low season for player population.
And since S3 will most likely only be a teaser to try to sell the incoming expansion, (like S2 was in regard to HoT) they will certain release it when there are a lot of players around.
Every account has the exact same chance on RNG.
And what proof can you give us that what you say it true?
