I think anet needs to change it’s stance on this issue, as well as address the elitism that is going on with every other post saying “know all paths” and “no noobs”.

My main problem with Charr armor is in the light armor (the legging especially). The fabric seems to balloon out around the legs and tail and ends up looking like a Lolita dress (or like my Charr has a buttress on underneath of her robes). Charr have a unique shape to their legs and it is a huge shame that it gets lost in just about all of the armor. Why can’t the light armor hang better like the female Charr underwear?

Also the shoulder pads are always huge and way far away from my Charr’s body, it always ends up looking ridiculous on my light classes.

Having the attunement swapping instead of the weapon swapping is what makes this class stand out from the rest. I wouldn’t want to do anything that would take that away or nerf it.

I would really like to see some tattoo armor options for light classes. It was in gw1, why not gw2?

I rate the Charr armor above me with a 10. I really like the way the shoulder looks, surprised to see someone pull that off well XD. I also think the weapon goes right along with it, very nice.

This is my main, she’s an Elementalist named Sleep Elemental. The name came from my narcoleptic episodes that were going on at the time of her creation…

I tried to stick with a blue pallet adding hints of yellow and some glowing white to give a sleepy good dreams feel. I was very excited when they added the new zodiac weapons, I think it really adds to her overall look.

I do think that there should be more direction added to the encounter. Like, during the Claw of Jormag fight the NPC’s say a lot of useful information, like that you need to take down the wall in order to make him vulnerable to fight. Maybe if one of the frogs mentions what to use the turrets for it would be helpful.

Until the commander tag is something that is earned and not bought they should have no power over the way other people play, especially in PvE.

The thought of yet another currency system really makes me cringe at this point.

It’s seems a little bit mean to ask people to post things that people have said just to laugh at them.

Well one thing you can do is have someone “taxi” you into main. If you have a guild mate in the main server, then join their group and then right click on their picture and select “join”. It’s kind of mean to all the people who have been waiting, but it’s something my guild has been doing since the Scarlet attacks.

I agree though, it isn’t fair that people get stuck in the overflow time and time again, having even less of a chance to win as everyone else. I can’t really think of a good solution to this problem, I can only hope it gets fixed soon.

I am actually confused about why this mid-level dragon is so much harder than any of the other events in the game…

If there is going to be an event of this difficulty then I agree it should be in a more appropriate area for more appropriately geared and experienced players.

I have to disagree with the idea of reporting people for going AFK within PvE. There is no real way for you to know if someone is truly AFK, or if they have just chosen that spot to stand and chat with their friends for a while (which is perfectly fine with me, people should be allowed to do whatever they want, that’s what makes it a living real world). For example, if I saw someone sleeping for an entire night cycle then maybe that is just their way of playing (role playing) and they should be allowed.

I strongly believe in letting players play the way they want to play, and experience the PvE environment in any way they wish. If players going AFK is affecting your ability to win at a boss fight then it is Anet’s responsibility to change the boss fight, not the fault of the person who is playing their way (as has been promoted by Anet itself).

I’m confused, are you saying someone is deliberately holding the turret to himself/herself to make you guys fail the battle? If so that really sucks, and I can’t really see the reasoning behind doing such a thing…

Maybe it would be nice if Anet implemented a way to let everyone have a turn on the turrets, or set a time limit for people to be on them, and have a que for people after that? Though that might hurt the battle if people are constantly switching…I’m just talking off the top of my head here,lol.

You’re not being a jerk,lol. And you have a point, if I don’t like it, I don’t have to play it. But my point is that when anet adds more content that is suppose to be more challenging, it also needs to be more fun. They have made a habit out of this, so just asking if anyone else agrees/disagrees…

And please, as long as you’re respectful, feel free to have the opposite opinion of me XD It’s important that anet hears what everyone has to say about every subject so that the majority can get what they want.

Someone probably does have that character name, but to add them to your friends list you would need to type in their account name. For example, I own the character name “Sleep Elemental” but if you typed that into the friends list you may get an error saying that person doesn’t exist. Instead you would need to add me by typing in BlueSoda.6297.

Secondarily, you may be able to find out who has that character name if you try to send them a whisper in game. Of course it will take a while because you need to wait and get lucky with a time that they are also online. Hopefully whomever it is plays actively so you can find out who they are.

I’ve seen this happen to people before. If you buy two of the same ring you cannot equip them to the same character. The “documentation” is suppose to be the fact that they say “unique” on them (at least that’s what I had read in the past from people having this issue.)

As far as I know there is no fix, and you cannot trade one back unfortunately.

Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!

So I fell down a waterfall and ended up stuck down here in this strange pink world. I am hoping there is a way back out, since I’m in the middle of working on collecting all the baubles, and it would be pretty awful to have to start over This is in World 2 Zone 1 by the way.

Does anyone know a way back up without starting over? Also, how can I avoid having this happen to me again?

Yeah it looks like the old hot spots were removed. I’m guessing the devs decided it was too easy to get the baubles in the old world. This is the kind of nerf that really bothers me :/

Just wanted to give my support to this thread. I think it’s really important that improvements be made a.s.a.p. to the comm tags. As they stand, and as stated by the op, they are basically useless unless you’re being followed by friends.

So with the recent influx of players “zerging” in queensdale for the champions there has been a hugely negative side-effect for those of us who wish to play solo, or spontaneously. The community has become rude, intolerant and verbally abusive on a daily basis.

I come to queensdale for maybe half an hour to 45 minutes a day to play around, kill a few champs, and do some gathering in between. I have been doing this for months now, and I ALWAYS call it out in map chat when a champion event is up and ready to go as I start it (up until recently I have been thanked for this). There are only a few champs I actually enjoy fighting in this area, the troll and the oak being my personal favorites (so I mostly only like to fight them.)

I have never had a problem with people before, but now suddenly if I do one of these events “out of order” I am slammed with insults and negativity, saying I should leave because they wanted to wait to do that champ until they finished two others or something. So how is that fair to me? I don’t like being in zergs, I don’t like going in an “order”, I just want to have fun and play my own way (it’s not like I don’t tell them the champ is up). I always respond to people with a very neutral tone, and I do my best to stay positive with them even though they’re usually calling me “stupid” and “loser noob” or other things I cannot mention in this forum.

All I’m saying is, it’s fine if people want to zerg in queensdale, but why do they have to be so mean to the people who don’t want to play by someone else’s made up rules? I think anet should be aware that this is happening because it was a major selling point that we could all play the way we want to, but this constant verbal abuse is making that unpleasant. I can’t be expected to /report 6 or 7 people every time I go to queensdale.

Note: Please let’s keep this thread civil and not resort to personal attacks and name calling, as I know this may be a hot issue with some people.

I agree with the person who made this thread. I was actually offended by their design when I first saw them, being a female myself. The reason: Why do they have high heels and huge breasts? The breasts of these “warriors” are function-less, just filled with gears.

Okay, just found one, he was at Stone Pines Waypoint in Dredgehaunt cliffs. This is the only one I’ve ever seen spawn, odd…

Kapina do you remember where that champ spawned? Just in case it is region based.

I’ve been searching for the 5th type of champion for this achievement for hours and I just can’t seem to find one. I’ve fought at least 30 of these champs with all being one of 4 types. I just wikitten least had a list of what I was supposed to be looking for :P

Is anyone else stuck on 80%? If not, do you know what the types are called so I know what to be looking for? I’m getting frustrated. I just want to make sure that all the types are at least spawning.

Yeah this sounds like a bad decision all around. I have a limited time that I can play during, and the devs are saying “oh well, just go do something else while you wait” :P That answer just isn’t good enough for me.

So I joined a game with 3 people in it (me being the 4th) and when I got in the person on my team wasn’t really moving, just running out of the start and then standing there and getting killed without fighting back at all. I thought it might be a bot or something so I reported it.

Then, a while later a guy/girl on the other team said he/she was controlling the character on my team in addition to their own, and basically just farming them for kills :o!!!! He/she said it was not cheating because they owned both accounts. I quickly left because I didn’t want to be involved in this since it didn’t quite feel fair.

So my question is, is this cheating/botting or what? And is it normal, or should I report people for it? I’m new to pvp (only a rank 10) so I’m not 100% on how things are done, your feedback will be much appreciated!

I’m also getting this code and cannot get into game except for character select. I have never had this problem before the update today.

Honestly I’d rather have a way to reliably get quartz opposed to no way at all (like snowflakes). I just wish that the charged quartz was not soulbound (or you could charge quartz more than 1/day even if it was at a different place of power), as it’s silly that this is the only armor set that is time locked for those that like the stats.

There is a reliable way to get quartz, you can get the node for your home instance, as I mentioned above.

“Completing the Bazaar Ambassador meta-achievement awards the player a permanent quartz crystal resource node for their home instance. Completion of this meta-achievement requires players to complete 16 of the Bazaar of the Four Winds achievements.”

Honestly just as there is no problem with choosing to take the win yourself, there is also no problem with standing by and letting others win. The person who gets to the finish line first gets to choose what to do with that victory. Noone else. If they want to pass it to the next competitor to make it, good for them. If they want to take the victory them self, good for them.

To players complaining about winners winning, just leave that match and find another more conducive.

First because you join in wrong neighborhood. If from the first time you join in this race people compete with other people, you are not wrong. This is a community. And as a community we understand that there is a time and place to be competitive and a time and place to be cool. We all know that BlueSoda can win, good job, but as I said above, there are a lot of factors that make winning not as easy as just practicing until you get it.

If this player wants to run the race without considering others, then let them race alone. They can type /cheer at the finish line every time and feel just amazing for the well earned win.

You’re speaking of a community that I love to be a part of in PvE, but in PvP I am not going to be a doormat for people to get points.

Okay, find the words to be offensive. But remember that if you play how you so choose then so can others. And if others choose to team up to try and stop someone they feel is raining on their parade then so be it. You are not a victim of some great injustice. A couple people used questionable language and one person suggested to team up against you.

So you too think that a personal attack is a viable tactic when someone does not play by your rules? I’ll say it again, it is NEVER okay to say nasty words in the chat to someone for any reason.

No matter what I say I have no proof of what occurred in the race/races so it does not matter if I deny or confirm any allegations of so called “wrong” activities. You will just have to take my word for it that I play fairly, it is all I can offer you.

Yeah if there was a way to tactically avoid them it would add a lot to the race. I usually just keep “grounded” on me until I see one, (but I don’t always see them XD lolz). I just can’t really tell how close you can get to them without getting hit.

First of all let me say Bazaar of the four winds is a beautiful fantasy setting, my god when I first turned up and made my way to the top it was amazing. The floating ship was so beautifully put together, even the sounds of grinding wood and wind really made it feel like you were so high up. The story is so weak. WEAK! southsun was boring, dealing with disgruntled employee’s contracts. Contracts?! really sounds like a typical day at work.

Aetherblade was great, starts of with a beautiful cutscene, sneaky pirates trying to disrupt the dragon bash, then you take the fight to them in a stunning dungeon (that area where the waves are crashing against the shore, heavy rain was so nice)

Now bazaar is here and OMG the first cutscene I get is about an election then talk to her further and its a trade agreement. This is a fantasy setting and I dealing with elections and trade agreements. FFS! stop it! from employment disputes to elections to trade agreements. This is how the star wars movies turned out first three were about adventure, the next three turned into a mess of trade agreements, elections (votes of no confidence) and the backlash from fans was severe.

TLDR… Stick to fantasy adventure, mystery, revenge, fighting against insurmountable odds, interesting villains, murder, romance, rescue missions… things that evoke emotions. Trade agreements and employment contracts do not.

I agree completely. I come into the game’s PvE section to escape from reality and I feel like I’m looking into a mirror of the news sometimes with the new additions.

Now when people asked me to step aside and let others win, I listen to them instead of ignoring them.

I did not say anything to these people to warrant an attack like that. I simply stated that I did not let people win, as I don’t believe in that.

Please don’t refer to me as a “he”, as I am a female. I am making this thread to get attention to the devs about the bad behavior that is occurring, you are correct.

It is up to me weather or not I let people win, just as it is up to you to choose to let people win or loose. I don’t deserve to be slammed because of what I have done.

The answer to your question will probably greatly affect the market value of the crystals I suspect…so I am also interested in finding out (to know if I need to stock up now or not..)

This is a community event, I think it should be less competitive. A lot of people don’t enjoy having to fight other players to earn achievements. I completely respect that because there is no reason why someone should have to do this for a pve centric event.

If you want a title that is competitive, then play in PvP. Don’t sit here and complain on how win trading has destroyed your accomplishment.

How is the Sprint not PvP?
