Has the Elemental Sword skin been removed from Black Lion Chests?

I got a recipe from opening a Fractal Encryption, but it wasn’t the stats that I wanted. I thought to myself, “No big deal. I’ll craft it and just stat swap it.” I finally was able to craft and went to the Mystic Forge but the breather wasn’t a select-able item to place into the forge.

Is it just a bug or is there a reason that you can’t stat swap the breathers?

I’d like to know the same thing I have 5 pieces bound to my necro.

I wonder how much more there is left to download. We already have quite a bit downloaded. It would be nice to have the rest downloaded before hand and have a tiny patch to remove the barriers at release.

I have noticed this bug for several months. The bug is when you go to preview/change your dye and a single dye takes over that armor. The bug doesn’t go away until you zone to a different map. Once in the different map, if you try to preview/change the dyes, the bug will kick in again.

This has happened to multiple characters in all the different game modes.

The first screenshot is how the chest piece should look. And the second is the bug making the chest piece look like a different dye is active.

I was scrolling through Facebook when I saw these GW2 screenshoots being used for an advertisement for an app. I thought y’all might like to know that others are using your work for their gain.

Skills are bought with skill points.
Traits are unlocked through some event/map completion or can be bought with skill points and gold.
Weapon skills unlocked through use.

Will the new Specializations require skill points? Yes.

At least this one seems to be easier to fix. Track people that had access to beta and if they unlocked skins rollback account and ban them for exploiting. This is not a HoM bug where (by mistake) i unlocked it myself, they did it on purpose and deserve to be punished for being “loyal” in this case. Loyal exploit deservers a loyal ban

I thought they said that they only announce new (never seen before) content but that didn’t mean that new dungeons/fractals were also in the works. That could also mean that level 500 Jeweler and Chef are also in the works since the crafting professions aren’t new to the game just the level increase, it wasn’t announced.

Are you not expecting to have new weapon and armor skins, because they didn’t announce them?

I think there is already a game where you can capture critters and level them up for them to learn skills. I think you keep the monsters in balls that fit in your pocket.

Why is that? Because, you don’t have enough Tomes to get your Rev to 80? Or, is it, because you don’t want to speed level your fresh Rev to 80, and feel that others shouldn’t also?

Why stop at Tomes? How about disabling Scrolls of Knowledge or Experience Scrolls to be usable for Revs?

If you don’t want to speed level your Rev, that’s fine, but don’t force other players to play how you want to play.

And, your PvE/WvW gear stats do not transition to PvP. Only the skin does.

You are correct you bought the game. The game comes with 1 bank slot and 5 character slots with 5 bag slots. So, if you can’t make it work with 520 inventory slots, then it’s on you to either modify your play style or buy more bank/bag slots.

That’s like saying, “I bought the game and it only came with 5 character slots but there are 8 classes, 5 races, and 2 sexes. I should have 80 character slots to be able to play them all.”

You don’t have a subscription fee. Support the game and buy gems.

In the announcement for GW2:HoT, it was said that lvl 80 chars will stop gaining xp and that there would be other ways of gaining skill points since you won’t be getting it through leveling post-80.

They made you run the dungeon story modes again to unlock the dungeon PvP tracks even if you had the “Dungeon Master” title, so I will be expecting to revisit content to get those Mastery Points.

So tired of these threads. It’s $5. Get over it. It was plastered all over the place to log in these next two weeks to unlock that episode for free. All you had to do was log in within a TWO week timeframe. That’s it. But, you chose not to. Now you come here to rage at ANet when you have only yourself to blame.

What type of events/content can we expect while we wait on the release of GW2: HoT? The Living Story is at a standstill now until it is released. Will we be getting Dragon Bash or SAB to hold us over? Will there be another WvW season? I don’t suspect that there will be a feature patch, because the xpac sounds like it’s a feature patch and a full Living Story season all rolled up into one.

Honestly, I think a completely unexpected race is a possibility, since there’s sort of a hint of a race (Mursaat, maybe? Their home is supposed to be deep in the Maguuma…), but I doubt it’ll be Tengu just yet.

GW1 people love mursaat almost as much as margonites, makes sense to bring them back. For me atleast.

I don’t see the Mursaat as a playable race mainly because they are a spellcaster only race. They created Jade Constructs to serve as their melee. But, I do believe that they will be coming back. They are originally from the Isles of Janthir and we never went there in GW1 to fight them there. They could have been hiding there for the past 250 years and with the awakening of Mordremoth, being close to them, come to investigate. And, we fight one of Mordremoth’s champions in front of a Mursaat building. That wouldn’t have been included if it wasn’t important.

1. The rest of Maguuma Wastes and the Maguuma Jungle unlocked. I can also see us going to the Isles of Janthir with the Mursaat golden building and the Mursaat in the trailer. Possibly the Crystal Desert.
2. Expanding the current weapons to more classes and functionality (spears on land, dual wielding specters). I don’t think we need any new weapons.
3. Raids. I think the Underworld and the Fissure of Woe would be good places for these to take place.
4. New playable races. I think that the Tengu would be a good choice as a lot of people have said that they want them and they are walled off in the middle of Kryta. The Dominion of Wind could be their capital city and they could have access to Caledon Forest as the starter area.
5. New classes. I think that there should be an equal number of new classes as there are races. I would love to play as a Ritualist, and I think that the lore of the Tengu would fit perfectly. I have been intrigued by the idea of a Chronomancer.
6. More Fractals and Dungeons
7. Jeweler and Chef up to 500
8. New maps and game modes for PvP. We have a structured PvP but I would like to see a custom PvP where you can fine tune your build and not just have all of one stat.
9. WvW needs new maps. They could do a rotation with the different map lay outs.
10. An overhaul of Ascended gear that would allow for stats and rune/sigil swapping through an upgrading process.

I think it’s a Mursaat.

Reasons why I think it is:
The golden building in the mysterious cave is a Mursaat building.
The figure looks like it is floating, which Mursaat are known to do.
The figure looks like it has the “feathers” coming form it back, although the are not erect like that have been shown in GW1.

So you are saying that Rytlock would not sacrifice himself if it meant that his sacrifice would restore his homeland? Sounds kind of selfish of him. Wouldn’t a great hero gladly sacrifice himself to bring about a change that he believes would benefit his people?

I do disagree with a few of your sentiments.

Although, down-leveled character don’t have the full prowess of their level they are still more powerful than a character of the area’s level. They have access to more traits and better gear, rune, sigils, foods, and maintenance. Yes, those are scaled down too, but they still have their effect.

If you have a level 30 Engineer, you only have 50 more levels until you hit the max level, not 70.

ANet designed the game for every class to be survivable on it’s own, but also added elements that do require group play; dungeons, fractals, world events, and other large scale group events.

As for the World Events happening too often, I disagree. I think they happen a fair number of times for everyone that wants to participate in them to have a chance. If Teq only happened once or twice a day, there would be a lot of people unable to do the event due to rl stuff. Plus, you are only rewarded once a day for doing the World Event which does allow for the “epicness” to persist.

what if you’re in the army for example? Not everyone will be playing even weekly for years.

I was under the assumption (also by reading an early article about Season 2 content) is that you’ll be able to play ANY episode you missed during Season 2… and that GW article failed to say that if you didn’t log on during that time, you would have to pay 200 gems to access it. I don’t know if it was an early early article or what… but it was pretty misleading.

To unlock an episode and have it added to your Story Journal, you simply need to log into a map with any of your characters during the two-week period that the release is live to be given permanent, free access to the storyline of that episode. Once you’ve unlocked it by simply logging in, you can replay that episode’s storyline on any character on your account as many times as you like from your story Journal forever. Past episodes will be available for purchase for 200 gems. (Don’t forget you can earn gold and purchase gems to unlock the episode for your account).

Lol. The picture is of a group at a Red Rock during a defense event where a champ has spawned, when the OP is QQ’ing about chest farms. Thought the picture was going to be a map queue surrounding a chest.

I think it has to do with the removal of white swords in WvW for this next month or so. A lot more small man roaming groups making superior siege to take down walls and doors quicker.

To upgrade siege you need Mithril Ore and Elder Wood Logs.

They will probably release it as an outfit.
