A great place to experience this is the room where the Crucible of Eternity portal is.
I had this happen to me earlier today. I could whisper several people just fine, but any attempts to whisper a specific person failed until they whispered me half an hour later, then all three of the prior whisper attempts I made triggered at once, repeatedly stealing focus to the chatbox while I was trying to play the game.
Something that bears mentioning: You can’t salvage a Rabid/etc Inscription out of a crafted Exotic, only from named Exotics with those stats.
Mine didn’t disappear when I completed the Boss Week meta (mostly from dailies) but the moment I completed the last actual Boss Week achievement (the Frostgorge Dragon Scales, for reference), the Living World tracker disappeared and hasn’t shown since.
Of the recipes using Packet of Salt directly, “Bowl of Watery Mushroom Soup” requires a recipe purchased from a specific vendor, and the following recipes aren’t classified as Discoveries but as innate knowledge for Chefs:
Bowl of Baker’s Dry Ingredients
Pile of Salt and Pepper
Pile of Tangy Seasoning
There are only 3 uses for Salt in the Discovery menu itself; if you have all 3 of these, then it is correctly no longer displayed:
Cup of Potato Fries
Grilled Mushroom
Mashed Potato
It looks like you have them sitting inside an Invisible bag, which prevents its contents from appearing on the TP menu. Try moving them to a different bag.
That’s an Historical achievement, it could only be progressed during Cutthroat Politics.
You’re missing the ‘new’ one in the very SW corner of the map where the Guild Puzzle is.
Celestial Orichalcum Inscriptions aren’t used in any discoveries; you need to buy the Recipe to make the specific item you want off the Trading Post (unless you already have it from the Zephyr Sanctum events).
From what I recall about AI spading, monsters seem to prefer characters with higher Toughness. Most condition builds tend to run +Toughness gear (Rabid), while Berserker minimizes Toughness.
Same on Piken Square.
I was recently by that area on a new alt in Piken Square, and it was definitely doing it there. Sword didn’t block anyone, and the Shield didn’t attack anyone to let you try and block. The Rifle one worked normally, though.
The first thing that comes to mind is you might not be realizing that there are different denominations in this game. When you get to 100 copper, it automatically becomes 1 silver, and 100 silver becomes 1 gold. If you gain copper from 65-87, it quite likely is rolling into a silver piece.
It is for any World Boss, but it’s a Daily Achievement, with emphasis on the word Daily.
On the plus side, attempting Fire Elemental no longer crashes the map after the last patch. Now, it just skips the Fire Elemental event immediately after cleaning the site.
Just happened on Piken Square. Full map disconnect for Metrica Province when Fire Elemental was defeated, no loot or Group Event credit for anyone.
Still down on Piken Square.
Duration stacking is for effects that are binary on/off effects, like the +20% crit chance on Fury, or the +33% move speed on Swiftness. Effects like Might stack up to 25 times, and each of those stacks is tracked independently. Combining the two gives you 5 stacks of Might that have a 30s duration and 3 stacks that have a 25s duration at the same time; after 25s, it should drop down to 5 Might for the last 5 seconds of SoR’s effect.
That bug has been around since they made Obsidian Sanctum a separate zone. It gets posted about in the bug forum every so often, but even when it was affecting part of Living Story, the devs didn’t seem to care about it.
I haven’t got any from Shaman’s Rookery, and I open that one nearly every day.
Other repercussions of being classified as inanimate objects include the fact that you can’t make critical hits on them, and while you can stack Confusion on them, it doesn’t affect them.
Usually when I go into that JP, only one of the two posts is damageable (though it varies), it’s maybe one in fifteen times that both posts are working. And if I kill a post but take too long for some reason, the post becomes undamageable after the repair golems fix it for an unknown span of time. I sat there for about 15 minutes without the post becoming damageable again, but I know it was damageable a couple of hours later.
That “should” only happen in World vs World. The right-click Party interface is worthless in World vs World, and has been for at least the last 9 months, if not longer.
Champions spawned in the Crown Pavilion? I’ve never seen any, just the Legendary event bosses.
Something I’ve discovered that might be relevant to how this could work: If you’re close enough to a WP that using it doesn’t cause you to hit the loading screen again, your first portal remains intact, and you can drop the second one (assuming it’s within range of the first). The Citadel WP might be close enough for that to happen.
I recently completed Arah story with a friend who also needed the mission award and some guildmates. When we went to Fort Trinity after, I joined her instance, and was unable to talk to anyone or see any of the culminations; fair enough, I’d just not accept the credit for completing that segment, and then start it myself, like the game had allowed us to do several times prior.
Nope! On exiting the mission, I was immediately forced to accept credit for completing Victory or Death, despite not getting to actually experience any of the ending at all.
Any plans to let the vast majority of users who don’t come to the forums know about this issue?
Pfft. I looted 4 Support Tokens yesterday. Getting stuff from a historic event? That’s real drop skill.
If it’s repeatable, I couldn’t find any way to do so. It bugged out on me, a lot of the AI triggers were just firing randomly, so Logan was talking to an invisible Watchwork Knight while Rox was saying something about shooting someone, then suddenly Pirates.
I couldn’t get that one to proc at all when trying to do anything remotely related to Pet Swapping, it was my last one for a while. Then it just randomly popped up when I learned a new Spear skill, of all things.
Having the same issue. Running a Guild Trek completely breaks our Guild page, including the build queue, and targets randomly decide not to spawn for some guild members.
Indeed, it sounds like you hit Deposit Collectibles at some point. Regular Quartz goes into the jewels section, while Charged Quartz is in the rare materials section.
And again just now.
I had the same problem yesterday while standing around near the WP. The crash logger mentioned something about a gw2buff routine.
Yes, all stacking bonuses, including the achievment bonus, are additive, not multiplicative. For 400 karma, +50% and +1% is +51% (604), not +51.5% (606).
Anecdotally, I’ve never had this bug occur, all karma buffs have worked immediately for me without having to fiddle with anything. But I’ve played GW2 enough to be plagued by different bugs that don’t happen to some people, so I won’t dismiss that it may be happening to some.
Maybe a partial fill sets a stack to the back of the line?
Completely unplayable after 20:00 CET on Piken Square.
The entire living story lasts for a month, counting the 2 weeks already for Dragon Bash.

Track Down Aetherblade Caches! – June 25-July 9
The Aetherblade pirates have hidden caches of plunder around the world in hard-to-reach locations. Scout them out to take a share of treasure and earn special achievements.
1 month? You’ve got 2 weeks.
Aetherblade pirates have been spotted guarding caches in select mini-dungeons and jumping puzzles across Tyria. Pirates have also been spotted around the Obsidian Sanctum jumping puzzle in the Mists.
Dantanian: Moa racing achievement still counts toward the meta.
Mango-food exploit, miniature exploit and lightning hammer exploit. All three are found by bad people who ruin the game for others. the kind of people I definitly don’t want on a testserver.
That’s exactly what you should want on a test server. Unmitigated ability to try any shenanigans you want, precisely because it’s a test server and won’t impact the people on live.
Another time when I jumped off the side of Heart of the Mists and found myself in a I use to report bugs left and right! However, playing today 9 months in, I rarely ever encounter a game-breaking bug anymore.
Well, there’s the problem. You should’ve been playing yesterday.
If you’re in water, your helmet is replaced by your aquabreather. To access the 6-rune ability, you’ll need a Superior Rune in your aquabreather as well.
Of course not. If it was 3.60 gold, it’d say 3 gold, 60 silver.
That’s 3 gold, 6 silver (3.06g). 3.6 gold would 3 gold, 60 silver.
Clicking on a Dragon Pinata while someone else is using it destroys the object for you, but you get no candy or credit toward the achievement.
I just logged in after patching my client; I started in Lion’s Arch Overflow (not a big surprise right after a patch), and immediately received The Big Boom in the Big City, along with the chest containing the three Horns of the Dragon skins.
