I mean when will the event progress? I have little time atm but don’t want to miss the whole event just because I didn’t finish the first part in time. So: when will the first stage end?

I wish you would quit squashing “unintended game play” and focus on fixing the multitude of bugs. Who cares if a tactic or process is unintended? Why not leave that option instead of limiting player choice, unless it is an out-and-out exploit?

I saw it. I just don’t believe people will suddenly rush for open world when most things they want still costs gold. World bosses drop junk. Trash mobs dropp better! So why spend time killing a champ? Satisfaction is one thing but some reward seems apropiate, doesn’t it? Events? In lvl 80 area an event gets you 1,8s? You spend more waypointing there. And so on. ;]
I’d increase rewards for playing open world. You do CoF million times because you need money. You may enjoy dong events instead. But what of it if you will be as poor as before while in dundeon you can easily make 1g in 20 mins? Doesn’t calculate. Playing is too unrewarding. That’s why people gring money. Everything is super expensive but u get no money from anywhere to buy anything.
This will make learning new dungeons impossible. I haven’t done all of them, but did pretty much of some. I will not take new players to party to a dungeon I know. Nor will I be taken to a dungeon I haven’t done before. Goes just great with ‘helpful community’ policy ANet is so proud about ;]
Except for starting areas open world feels awfully empty. I love running around, doing events and simply enjoying graphics but why do I solo most events? (yes, i shout on map about events). Everybody sits in dungeons because that’s the only rewarding thing to do in the game (not that the rewards are so great. i wouldn’t be suprised if i started getting whites from chests ;] ). I would really like the devs to consider making open world activities more rewarding. I like running around maps but if I want to get/buy something in game i have to go dungeons. I was supposed to be able to play the way i want, wasn’t I?
I dropped ele because it felt weak. I came back because of AoE, ele felt strong again. I guess i’ll need to play ele a lot now so i can drop it after patch without missing it. Maybe i can get bored with it fast enough not to regret dropping it. ;]
It could be useful if not the casting time. I do hope someone in anet takes time to adjust it…
If u want to kill Kholer just join a group that says ‘no boss skipping’ or ‘money run’. But i don’t think people will want to kill trash mobs because they don’t drop. U may tempt them with graveling champs in AC (they do drop) but trash – why take the effort if there’s no reward?
I guess it’s because lots of people got tired of explaining everything every run. It’s not so bad when newbs listen to what experienced party member says. But there are really crowds of people who have no idea about the dungeon but don’t listen to what the party has to say.This can really ruin the run. I’ve personally done AC in 20 minutes with 3 ppl who were there first time and 1 who had done it once. Why? Because when i said ‘we do it this way’ – they did. On the other hand I’ve had >40mins runs because two ppl just did their way and totally ruined the teamwork. I don’t mind unexperienced people if they want to learn. But how can I know? But kicking someone for just asking is riddiculous. If u ask means u will obey – i definitely wouldn’t kick such a person.
Unfortunately this will get even worse with the change they’ll introduce. If all party will need to leave combat to allow someone to respawn nobody will want to take new players to party. I won’t, call me what you will, but I have no intention of resing someone from dead with boss on my neck or reseting boss to get out of combat so someone can use WP. People do dungeons because its the only reliable gold source in the game so they want to do them smoothly. Simple as that.
Please please please fix this soon! It’s one of the most beautiful weapons, the design is absolutely awesome – let us enjoy it!

Don’t understand why I can’t just wait and get the one Grandmaster book, I’ve put in the extra effort to play to that point without them, geez. It’s not like no one is going to buy them, I think most people still would, just to have the traits as they go (since you can’t use it till 60 anyway). I myself thought I’d save a bit of money and skip the 2nd tier book, so I leveled to 80 on just the first tier, bought my Grandmaster book…..and then thought it was broken because it wouldn’t work.
Finding out it wasn’t broken just made it worse. All that effort, wasted by a mechanic that you aren’t told is there. It doesn’t even tell you when you try to use the Grandmaster book, just nothing happens.
I’d appreciate it if they removed the requirement to use the earlier books for the determinedly frugal among us(10s isn’t that much no, but 1g per toon adds up), but at the very least the books should specify that the earlier ones need to be unlocked first.
Goldsink. This game is full of things that make you poor. This is one of the most effective i think.
All female armors are designed for male players. Period.
The deep voice fits great. But I agree that sometimes she sound too bored. Warrior’s ‘shake it off’ is supposed to be a shout. She says it i a way u tell an annoying kid to stop crying already. Nah. ;/ Still, she sound very norn. I like it.
I’m not sure about the traitlines but there are 2 nice traits that give u perma-fury even with +0% boon duration. 1st is when u cripple a target u apply 1sec immobilize and second is u gain fury on immobilize. Goes great with GS and axes and rifle. And might on crit is nice too. U can keep about 7-9 stacks on u all the time plus all other might that fies in the air anyway plus warbanner/signet plus sigil of bloodlust gets u nice might. Takes ‘for great justice’ off your bar and gets you space for some other utility.
Anyways u should adjust your utilities to situation. If you go for boss with a lot of conditions take 2 condi-removals. If a lot of cc i’d get balanced stance (for a lot of cc i love endure pain [oh kitten button], shake it off [low cd stunbreak], balanced stance [dont interrupt my HB!]; sometimes i’ll get sth more offensive instead of endure pain). The set above would be somehow ok for unknown situations ahen u dont know what to expect. For easier bosses i’d take elite banner and banner of discipline for increasing all party DPS. For harder i’d take banner anyway to res quickly if more than 1 person goes down [u can prevent party from wiping and reseting boss. they like u a lot in such moments :P] (now i’m waiting for all: l2p noob, wiping on boss is so noob, only noobs wipe – but u know u get noobs in pugs and u want to do the dungeon anyway :P ). And perma-swiftness for everyone for longer skipping ^^ (I’m warbanner fangirl, yep :P). But u can always ignore party bonuses and take signet. Though i didn’t see any sign of it doing anything to my adrenaline?
I often get ‘miss’ when i attack non-mob targets (for example burrows in AC or some centaur weapon racks etc). No matter if i stand on it, right next to it or on the edge of my range. It’s very frustrating when u do AC, have to destroy burrows on time and all your attacks miss. Sometimes autoattack hits and 100 blades and burst gets misses without me moving an inch. Also if mob is in range i hit it and get miss on burrow/anything at the sametime. (I’m greatsword warrior).
Relog and u will be out of combat. (character select is enough)
At night it should give of those sparky-thingies. It only gets blueish. Strange thing it sometimes glows properly. Or someone else sees the glow and i don’t at the same moment.
Update: This seems to happen mostly underwater and when mob is moving. (No, I’m not taking them too far). I saw it on skelk at kessex hills and frog people at brisban wildlands mostly.
I have to fight mobs like 3-4 times before I kill them because they get invulnerable, return to 100% health, attack, get hit, get inv. and so on.
Agreed. Lots of people stopped playing and are waiting for deathmatches. Right now PvP requires too much time for most people to play. Solo queues take the ’i’m appointed with a team i have to play at this time’ thing from ppl’s lives – and that’s the most awesome thing in it. The game is supposed to be an entertainment not something scheduled like work or sth.
Oh! That’s a great idea! Ranks mean nothing as u can farm glory on 8v8 so a method of finding skilled players would be great. How are people supposed to form teams if the only way of meeting people is inviting some random person that announces themself in mists? That’s very random and time-consuming.
rank and QP currently mean nothing but time played, so i see no point in them wasting time adding this until they add ranks that actually represent skill.
Well, but u do get achievements like ‘champion magus’ etc. Maybe thic could be a base for such emote.
Conditions are more tricky than direct damage. Don’t remove crapy ones and don’t remove them at once. As Paranoid said “Bleeds require time to apply enough stacks to do any sort of noticable damage. Wait till it stacks up and then wipe them to reset your opponents damage output.” When u see a lot of bleeds or a long stack of burning/poison – that’s the most dangerous situation. Try saving ur removal for it. Besides – that may be when your opponent’s best skills are on cd and u can get a chance to kill him before new stacks eat u.
Guild armor looks pretty much like the basic one [yay, hood! ] and silver is the rarest meterial – kinda doesn’t match. But that means u can save silver, so I guess it’s not that bad… [Completely illogical though

As far as the topic goes, I don’t see the problem. You are rewarded in pvp by winning and getting points. You are even rewarded for losing by still getting points. You can use those points to change your appearance. Your pvp level can be used for bragging purposes. What more is there to be had?
Tournaments are optional. If you can’t find a team or compete then that is your fault, not the game’s. Competitive players commit a lot of time and effort into being the best.
So u say that it’s ok to make the tourneys all or nothing? Because now u either play couple hours a day every day or u have nothing to look for there. Theres only top and bottom (pugs), there’s no middle: people who don’t care about e-sports, but want to play against other players sometimes.

There should be implemented duels as fast as possible. And no, not only in empty sPvP rooms – also in open world. Maybe ban duels in cities, but allow them anywhere else. I’m missing them so much.
I agree, but if it’s a challenge option, not a suprise attack. I really love that the only thing that is my enemy in pve is environment and this only.
Aren’t there any community-made counters? I know it works well on dragons. Do the events appear in set periods or randomly?
I agree. I totally gave up on pvp, even though I really wanted to try myself in something harder than mob-slaying. Too much effort and frustration: improve, find a team, get that team to understand that I have life and don’t play everyday, get kicked because I don’t play everyday and they got domeone who does… I switched to pve – it’s absolutely beautiful and I’m enjoying it. But what about players who bought this game, waited for it SOLELY for the PvP?… Zerg is a very weak option tbh – boring, cause either u own everyone as a part of a zerg or u get owned by the enemy zerg. Not to mention that only tourneys give u chests. (Sure u can buy chests but have u ever counted how many rank points u need to get something even close to tourney sets?) I understand that wit current lack of balance 1v1 may be risky but u are working hard on balance, aren’t u ANet?
Funny thing I never saw anyone in this armor since the headstart. I think it may be some kind of bug. On the recipies thread on gw2guru rabbit+silver is unknown, and they have good recipies there.

Hello. I descoverd this bug today.
For example Rune of Superior Strength aplly all buneses to Power well- +25, 950 and 90. But some runes dont apply +50 bonus. Those are for sure (tested today) Rune of Citadel, Rune of Pack. Might be more of them.
Aracen trait “Arcane Energy” does not work with signet of Restoration. It should give 25% enduracne when using arcane and signet skills, but it does not work with signet above. Works fine with arcane skills.
PLEASE- fix this BUG- Sigil of Superior Energy doeas not work on attunnment swaping!! This is very important sice it is disadvantage for us, as we dont have weapons swaps! Please fix Sigils on Attunmennt Swaps!
EDIT: Sigil of Superior Battle does not work too! No Stacks of Might for me!

My idea is as follows:
Make „Dark Path” a F2 skill, make it cost Lifeforce (a small ammount) and allow it to teleport to a location even if it doesn’t hit anything (similar to how Ride the Lightning works for Ele, or how it should work when fixed). Let this skill cost a certain ammount of Lifeforce. Don’t switch it underwater. Could be made a leap finisher.
Make „Doom” a F3 skill, make it cost Lifeforce, scale the duration of the fear with how much Lifeforce necro has (from 0,5s to 3s, or even 3,5s max). An argument can be made to replace the effect with that of Wave of Fear from Underwater DS.
Make „Life Transfer” a F4 skill. Let it heal HP when Lifeforce is full. Could be made a whirl finisher, but I guess I would avoid that. It can be scratched entirely and some of it’s effects could be moved to dagger skills. It could be replaced with a skill that hits a target and adds lifeforce scaling with the highest of: conditions on the target (like Mace #3), damage you deal with it (scaling with power) and minions you have alive (possibly damaging them). Options are plentiful.When Death Shroud is activated, the primary health bar is replaced by Lifeforce.
THIS is exactly what I though about. All skills hould be F1 to F4 and LF should be like adrenaline bar. Now skills should be improved. Life Blast- burst dmg with some random conditions on each thick. Doom- AoE 3-4 sec fear etc. Improved.
And Death Shroud should be used fully to replace HP with LF Green HP Pool, without any form, so we can still use for small amount of time (10 sec DS max) our skills while in effect of it. DS cant be used to replace HP if bars are full (example 4x bars like adrenaline) and it drains whole bars. Each F1-F4 drain some LF. The more bars the longer green HP pools stays, and it protect our red HP.
Or something like that.
Vampiric minor trait does not scale with Healing Stats, as well as Vampiric Precision and all Siphon Skills. This is major bug, which makes this traits useless. Healing for 29/per hit when ppl hit u from averge non-crit 500 to 9-11k dmg? Just… I dont have words. And it is that way SINCE BWE1!! Since BWE1 nobady fixed Healing scaling?..
Sometimes I have a feeling that noone plays Necro from ANET. I mean- dont u see this geen numbers? 29 with 1200 Healing? U playing it?
Sigil of Superior Leeching for example scales with Healing- as it should be, so it can be done. Fix it, because as long as it is not fixed that way, all Siphoning is just pathethic in PvP or High-End PvE.

At least for the sigil of intelligence there’s no effect at attunement change.
