I did this solo on a secondary character. Did not go down or dead. Waited a long time for quest indicator. Left the story instance – green marker disappeared and Concordia never showed up in tab. Completely logged out and back in – received rewards and progression.
Also, before I attempted to log in and out, I did two events in Dry Top and the event reward chests popped up in lower right screen. Could not click on them until I did the logging thing.
I’ve seen thieves run up against the wall of towers and repeatedly stealth/leap into it, then kill the champ lord. I guess you could qualify that as “situational position”.
That has been an issue on my engineer as well, but I was able to complete the diving goggles.
If you unequip the kit, the aspect crystals reappear, which makes it interesting for combat since you can have full access to grenade/bomb kit while retaining crystals.
No server is stacked.
Why wake up in the morning, when the schedule is already planned in advance?

The top 12 servers should be involved in 1 tournament and the lower 12 servers should be involved in a 2nd tournament. Not the 1-6,7-15,16-24.
It should probably be something like 1-3, 4-9, 10-21, 22-24 for NA. Top three are stacked so high and bottom three are all but deserted.
But why even bother with tournaments when the results are known already beforehand? Just give prizes out every 2 months to servers according to rating.
The individual town clothing items are becoming endless tonics that can’t be mixed with another endless tonic – check general discussion board.
The town clothing hats will be used like a regular armor piece though.
Do we need to be signed into twitch for a chance? Or just anonymous viewer?
What happens to guild storage on separate servers?
Will they be combined somehow into one mega storage? or
Will each server retain their individual upgrades? or
Will there only be the max of 250 space for a guild across all servers?

I like that champ loot bags are having their gold reduced again for balance. Thank goodness we don’t have to pay for those repairs anymore while autoattacking!

What happens when you swap cultural skinned ascended armor to another race? Do you have to use 6 transmute charges each time you move the armor?

First I would like to thank anet greatly for the wardrobe change and account dye c
change, those are great.With that said though why are you doing this to town cloths? I see now real reason why it has to be all or nothing. I fact this seems like a major step back ward with this new wardrobe change. I think its a lot of lost profit for you guys as many people would have been will to buy all those town cloths if they where able to mix and match, but now once they here is all or nothing then I feel most will opt not to.
I for one logged in after hearing that town cloths could be used in combat to buy the sun glasses, and some vest and short (forgot their name). Only to find them gone, and come to read here that they will be replace with tonic’s.
I’m guessing that each piece of town clothing will remain single items, but the toys will become the new endless tonics that will give the costume brawl skill. (I’m not sure what the dev means by all or nothing, seems very strange since many of the town clothing pieces were mix and match by themselves.)
As for the above items in the gem store, they were retired from the gem store a while ago, maybe 2+ months?
I hope they add this ability to select stats for ascended gear, speaking as someone who did and am still spending the money and time on legendary weapons. Besides, most people who crafted legendaries did so not knowing that stat selection was possible – this was a new feature added recently. With how expensive and time-consuming ascended armor is to craft, especially for those who tinker with their builds often and who play multiple alts, it only makes sense that there’s something extra for investing in that minimum stat increase.
Please implement this, along with a PvE locker that functions similar to achievement skins.

Play spvp and watch videos of game play in spectate mode. Or watch youtube of good players in spvp or wvw.
Most people who “suck” at pvp lack situational awareness. Just pretend that’s there’s always someone out to kill you – probably true anyway.
The stun warrior seemed capable of hard hits while his health was barely touched by the phantasms. I’ve only met one really good one, but almost every one of his hits forced me to blow some kind of cooldown, because if I didn’t, it was around 5k gone from life, at least. Most stun warriors I met weren’t this hard hitting.
The immobilize warrior was a different issue, and I think he was built for longer immobilize. That probably could have been dealt with via a utility switch. This also goes for the regen warrior – needed to strip his boons.
For the burst aoe, I actually met a berserker guardian. He greatsword pulled the phantasms and me, and they melted from whirl and aoe on ground. Then, he was able to one/two hit additional phantasms after that pull. There was also a berserker ele who was able to one/two hit the phantasms, pretty much ring of fire and slid to spike. I can usually survive against these types of builds, but it forces me to run and reset for cooldowns to be up for another try.
I’m a newish player to spvp, only in soloq or hotjoin for dailies – so perhaps it’s my inexperience in this arena.

Been playing this build in spvp lately. It absolutely destroys condition necros and most bunkers, which is a big bonus to mesmer play.
However, it’s unable to truly dent regen/stun warriors, or warriors with multiple immobilizes as that negates the ability to kite. (Utility change possible, but I usually just avoid these players and go for other kills).
It also seems weak against burst aoe, as that destroys the phantasms much quicker than I can output them. (I’ll give a few potshots to see if they’re bad players, but if they’re any good, stealth and leave).
But overall, I quite like the spec.
And it should not be either, imho. WvW is an individual toon progressions system (other than overall WvW achievements). But hey, given all the whining from many here, I have no doubt that ANet will cave and cater to the minority, that’s right, the MINORITY, rather than the majority who simply accept the current WvW exp and rank system for what it is…per individual toon.
Ooh, such a forceful opinion! It’s okay, I’ve left my other 7 level 80s with various 30-50 rank to node gather in Frostgorge.
I wish they’d return karma and gold to character bound. Shows toon progression, you know. In fact, everything should be character bound. I’m not feeling the love enough on my one character…why should the other 7 get all the benefits just because I play on one? What a silly system.

Addressing the population and momentum issue, and speaking from a server that has a huge SEA, a lowish to medium NA, and almost non-existent representation any other time:
While outnumbered, there’s almost nothing that server can do to stop an enemy zerg from taking everything. Towers are fortified with people on siege, while the other few people on the map try to run in. The siege barely affects the enemy zerg and the tower is inevitably lost. The power boost to siege in the form of superiors and mastery benefits all servers, but it is extremely overpowered in the hands of the winning zerg. This is not including how currently, omegas allow the winning server to completely roll over everything on the outnumbered server in minutes without repercussion or any chance of retaliation. Also, the outnumbered server is unable to retrieve their territory for some time until population reasserts itself.
This type of domination is of course the result of server imbalance, but the pace at which the outnumbered server loses everything despite having some valiant players on the map is demoralizing. This ultimately comes down to an issue of encouraging defense and allowing the outnumbered server boosts to defending, or reducing the incentive to siege or continually siege the outnumbered server.
Several solutions (which have been mentioned) would work, if implemented together:
1) Incentives to go after structures that have not changed ownership in a while
2) Incentives to go after the server with more presence on the map
3) Incentives to defend (Dev team has said they are working on this and that it is difficult to implement, but hopefully a solution can be found soon as this is probably the most important change that could come to WvW)
4) Free transfers to lower tiered server
5) Ability to keep guild upgrades after transfer
6) Less incentive to PvD – a zerg can take down reinforced door without siege much too quickly even while being sieged
7) Contested swords appear quicker on structures, allowing faster response time, and structures stay contested, especially if enemy numbers are within
8) Contested swords do not appear from npc attacks
9) Remove staggered league rewards until population issue is more balanced
10) Modify or remove the way superior siege and masteries work, or reevaluate the effect that stat creep has on empowering the winning server.
Most of these suggestions would encourage some transfer to lower servers, allow an outnumbered server faster response time, and encourage populated server to hopefully not spawn camp in the search for ppt.
The most drastic change that could be implemented is to do away with ppt and implement a system based on kills, how long a structure is held, how upgraded it is, and perhaps scaled somewhat proportionally to population present.

Medium: Optical illusion making left chest look much larger than right chest, which is similar to the issue with the exalted light armor set
Light: What are those things on the chest – tassels for a certain anatomy?

Stopped playing my seven alts. It’s okay, they gather in Frostgorge for me now. Maybe I’ll be able to afk them in the overflow map and gain wxp one day!

It counts if you start capping but another server ultimately takes.
It is a silly achievement, but important for outnumbered maps where the mercs serve as advance warning of incoming zerg.
And for above poster, there are 7 weeks to finish it… I doubt Anet expected or wanted a player to only run back and forth grinding it… especially since you’re essentially useless to your server doing it in the manner described.

There must be something wrong with this, because I’m fairly certain you can get credit hitting the gate once with ram and autoattacking it afterwards, but often, you don’t get credit attacking the gate the entire time…
Maybe I’m having weird memory though, if anyone cares to test it.
1) Remove the JP Achievements
2) Add in Defense Achievements and the Escort Dolyak Achievements
3) Make the Meta harder to complete. It’s too easy right now – this shouldn’t be a meta that people could complete in a weekend.
I do agree that there should be a way to achieve the meta as a roamer versus achieving it as a zergling, but I’m not sure how that could be implemented, unless there’s some sort of tracker in place… maybe if you complete these objectives while outnumbered, it counts for more?
It’s pretty wonderful on my server – I think we were not outnumbered for about 30m on EB during NA primetime!
1. Could you remove jp achievements, at least borderland ones, and instead add some defense achievements? I’m liking the fact that sometimes we don’t have outnumbered anymore on our maps, but then sadly disappointed when I see those extra 10-15 people are doing the jp instead of helping.

3. Agree with server lag issue. It’s terrible when our 10-man group starts lagging because of the other server’s zerg proximity. We should be able to hit a staff wall or invis, or something to try to save ourselves before being decimated.

I’m not sure I understand the purpose of this new map, especially since I wasn’t aware that queues were a legitimate issue outside of reset night (unless the person never ventures into one of the borderland maps). And indeed, Devon mentioned that one of the disincentives to stacking on a server was the long queue times. This map will:
- Not give enough reward so it becomes a hang-out place like LA; or
- Give just enough reward so it removes the disincentives to stack on T1 servers, further imbalancing server population and leagues.
Two thoughts:
- Are you lowering the regular map caps when this new map goes through? That would be a welcome change.
- Is this an attempt to help out alt leveling wexp? Players can gain wexp on their alts but not feel bad that they’re a liability to their team? If so, please just make wexp account bound.

It’s all about perspective. Go play LOTRO up to level cap and then level an alt to level cap. Then come back to GW2. You will think this is the most alt friendly MMO next to that game. That includes the craft leveling nerfs that have happened since last month. This game is super alt friendly. The difference between this game and most other MMOs? You DON’T need to have BiS gear at all. Exotics are great for this game, you can start playing PvP from day 1 and be totally fine since it isn’t a gear based pvp system. People telling you it isn’t alt friendly haven’t gone back to old games and are taking this game for granted. Perspective is king.
